This calculator is essentially the same as one we bought five years ago and loved .. if repair work wasn''t so expensive, we''d still have it, as it was working fine except for the on-off switch. And in our house, the calculator gets moved (and sometimes dropped) a lot.Read Best Reviews of Canon MP25DV Desktop Calculator (8077A006AB) Here
I have a lot of Canon products, and I''ve been generally very happy with them, so I figured a Canon calculator would be a safe bet. So very very wrong. First, the keys require an excessively heavy pressure to work. My fingertips are sore every time I use this thing. What''s frustrating is that if you hit the + key anywhere off center, it tends to stick in the down position. Then when you key the next number and hit +, the previous number gets added again and the button finally pops up. The calculator is also very loud, compared to others of it''s type and price. The display is bright and easy to read, as long as your number isn''t over 1,000. The comma for the thousands digit is, inexplicably, above the number, not below, although the period for the hundreds is on the bottom. At a normal distance, the last printed number is so low down inside the calculator, I can''t see it without craning my neck. All in all a truly horrible calculator, with the sticking + key it doesn''t even fulfill the minimum requirement for a calculator: adding up columns of numbers reliably. After writing this review, I''m going to buy a new calculator tomorrow and throw this six month old mistake in the trash.

I can''t explain why, but I''ve always been fascinated by these machines. Well, fascination may be a bit strong, but I''ve liked them and usually kept one handy when I could. Most of them were handed down to me by my Dad (starting when I was young, with a real old clunker from his work that was fun to play with), who''s also sort of a junkie in this area. I even tried the tapeless model once and hated it.While I''m not sure I even use the machine enough to justify this exact model, I recently bought a lower level Canon machine and didn''t like it. The machine worked fine, but the printing was so slow, it was painful. Not that I''m THAT impatient, but it was just irritating, given my experience with these machines. The printing on this machine is pretty fast. It may be outclassed by the higher end ones, but this is sufficient for 90% or more of you out there. It prints negative in red, has the item list (gives a line total of what you added for easy averaging), and has the clock and date feature which is cool if you need a dated paper trail. Plus, the tape load is the best I''ve ever seen. Took a few seconds even when I don''t think I put it in there straight.
I bought this machine (or an earlier model) several years ago for an organization I was a director of. I used it there and like it a lot. After leaving the organization, I''ve made due with a smaller solar calculator. Part of the reason, I think, is my desk wasn''t clear enough to put a machine on there. Good old Dad gave me one of his, but the printing got screwed up on it, making it useless. So, after buying the cheaper model discussed above, I took it back and got this one, knowing it would function with all the horsepower I need. It does.I like the calculator. The picture was exactly what I had, this is why I ordered it. But it is not what you get. The new one is silver and the buttons on the left are different. The clear/cancel button is in a different location and is taking time to get used to. Other than that, it is a good calculator.

- White office paper with smooth finish and a 96 GE brightness rating for laser printers.
- Ensures optimum performance in color laser printers, color copiers and monochrome printers.
- Engineered for superior toner adherence and sharp image resolution.
- Smooth surface for high-quality prints and copies.
- Great for two-sided printing and copying.
It is fairly heavy, at 24 pound weight. But, not too heavy to feed properly in the printer.
Even though technically it is laser paper, it holds inkjet ink very well. The printout did not smudge or bleed around too much on "Super Fast" setting. It smudged less on "Normal" setting & not at all on "Short Grain" setting, even with quite small fonts.
(When I write "too much" I mean to say that the printout, even fast speed, looks very, very good. Certainly acceptable for business.)
To my eyes, it looks like it is Short Grain paper. Boise''s web site isn''t saying which it is. Tabloid size often is short grain for ease in folding. Some inkjets can''t print well on short grain. Lasers don''t careso your printouts should look perfect.
Would I buy it again? In GeneralWithout hesitation.
From AmazonI doubt it. The outer wrapper was torn to pieces & at least 25% of the paper was crunched up (all over the inside of the outer box, other items smashing into it). So, my price-per-page went way up on this purchase!
Factoring in the unusable sheets, paper with the same weight & brightness would have been cheaper at a local store.
I did not lower the "Star" rating for the product because of the packaging. The product''s great.

At the time we purchased this paper, it has close to the best price you can find on an 11x17 paper. We use this paper to print posters for concerts. It is a little light for posters, however for the price you can''t deny it. Especially since these posters are going to get taped to a business'' window for a month or two and then get ripped down. It''s a nice bright white paper as well. Much better quality than your standard printer paper purchased for the cheapest price from your local office supply store.Read Best Reviews of Boise BPL-0117 Boise HD:P Presentation Laser Paper Here
I am an industrial design student and I go through a lot of paper for ideation on projects. I had been using whatever paper was least expensive, but because I use markers for projects, I decided to use a better grade of paper. This Boise Presentation letter paper is terrific. Don''t get me wrong, if you are churning out hundreds of pages of black & white reports day after day, go with less expensive (preferably recycled) line of paper. However, if you want your work to look great and clean, step up and buy this paper.Want Boise BPL-0117 Boise HD:P Presentation Laser Paper Discount?

When I first felt the paper, I thought to myself, "Wait, is this the paper?" It was surprisingly smooth to the touch. The brightness is nice, and printed colors really stand out nicely.
The paper has a nice weight to it; it''s not too thick like card stock, but it''s also not the thin economy bulk paper you can get at half the cost for twice as much paper. The paper''s weight is just enough to exude quality without seeming overly pretentious.
This paper is good for printing a résumé or a school paper you''re turning in to your professor. It''s a good choice, but only at a good price. Shop around Amazon for different listings of the same product, and whatever you do, please do NOT pay anywhere near $20/ream because it simply isn''t worth it at that price.

This paper conveys quality without seeming too heavy or wasteful. The silky smooth finish (not glossy) is the best part. It''s a little heavier than economy 20 lb paper.
Works nicely in ink jet printers too.
I always have a few reams on hand to use when quality paper matters.
Don''t confuse this with "HammerMill® Ultra Premium Laser Paper" which is inexplicably a step down in brightness and smoothness from this paper.

- 7000 Price Look Ups (PLU''s), 8 line display
- 32GB SD card computer connectivity
- 6 Coin compartments and 5 bill compartments
- 40 clerk IDs, barcode scanner, simplified programming
- 7 Customer display digits, thermal printer, dual receipts
You want to be very careful to follow the quick start guide to set it up correctly. Fortunately, I''d read someone else''s comment on an older model Sharp cash register, so I was prepared. IMPORTANT: If you put in the batteries and paper, plug in the power cord THEN reach for the quick start guide (which I probably would have done), you would have already messed up the initialization. Then, I learned from another comment that in the main manual, it says something about setting up a clerk #, which I did. After that, everything worked well.
Setting up prices is pretty slick. You can go into programming mode, scan a barcode and it will ask you the price and the department number. I also went in and set up the name of the item at that point. (That part is kind of a hassle, since you''re doing it on a number pad, so for the letter "C", you''re hitting #2 three times.) You''re other choice is to download the free program and input the data in the program. The challenge with the program is figuring out at that point which SKU # to put an item name with. To me, it just seemed easier to go about it using the number pad. One idea would be to put in a short name using the number pad, then go back & correct it in the program. I also setup a button for some of the common things like Soda/Pop, Popcorn, Hot Dogs, etc. (by setting up a "Popcorn department")
After trying it out, I purchased a second one for another window and found that transferring the data was extremely easy. I saved everything to an SD Card (like you''d have in your digital camera) on the register I had already programmed, put the card in the 2nd cash register and uploaded it. It took about 3 minutes and all of the prices/ SKU''s / product names were in the 2nd register.
As far as using it, last Saturday was our first day of having the stand open. People were able to figure it out pretty quickly. Everyone that''s used it thinks it''s pretty cool and easy to use.

I''ll start with the few positives first. The PC Link software is pretty archaic but its simplicity is actually a plus and for the most part gets the job done. It''s much easier and quicker than programming on the register itself. The hand-held bar code scanner is basic entry-level, you have to scan real close to the UPC to get it to register, but it does the trick accurately. I got used to that real quick. Now the bad news. The User Guide is just plain awful. Even the Quick Start Guide was incorrect, you had to complete Step 4 before you started Step 2. I got past that after more than a few minutes of...huh? While the bar code scanner is accurate and allows easy entry who knows where it is stored and why. If you''re scanning a bar code with PLU 00001 showing, it dumps the information into PLU 00020. In fact, it dumped all the product bar codes into that PLU. So, it works and recalls them on subsequent scans but without a unique PLU. The PC Link software accepted my receipt logo graphic after much defiance but it does not show up on my receipts. The logo must be exactly 360(W) x 130(H), in pixels, and be a black and white monochrome bitmap. Anything else and you get a software error message. When it did not print on my receipts it became painfully apparent that Sharp got their pixels backward. 130(W) x 360(H) would fit perfectly on the receipt but the software will not accept that. Hence, no printed receipt graphic logo. The receipt text message does work fine though. Manufacturer support for this product is non-existent. They tell you to contact your re-seller who knows less than you about the product at this point.
Perhaps I was expecting it to perform like a computer so shame on me. But, the reality is this register supposedly offers some similar capabilities but does not perform as advertised, period. I''d be willing to stand on 1 leg while rubbing my stomach and pressing a register key with my head to get it to work properly if it would resolve these issues, if that''s what it took. Unfortunately, these nuances are not documented and not known by any tech support personnel I''ve talked with thus far.
Who knows if a Z report will actually work either. I haven''t even gotten that far yet.I bought one for my retail store, its perfect I have 8000 items only took me a week to get it all in it is so easy to program. Been using it a week Perfect Perfect Perfect I wish i had this 8 yrs ago when i openedFeels like a quality product. Only complaint are about ease of use and the instruction manual. The best way to use this device is to go to sharps website and reference there frequently ask questions.I can change prices easily and control all my sales records with SD ,I also able stored all items of my store in it''s memory which is more than 6000 so far

I can confirm that the cartridges shipped with this photo value pack have a fraction of the ink capacity of normal cartridges. While there is nothing at all that indicates this in any of HP''s marketing materials (bad HP) it becomes clear when you install them. The ink level gauges on the printer show much smaller bars for these than the regular cartridges and indeed they do run out very quickly compared to normal cartridges.Face it HP is all about making very large profit margins from selling ink, and they aren''t dumb. If you want to buy an ink combo pack of full cartridges you can search amazon for HEWLETT PACKARD 02 COMBO PACK you will find this listed as of today at $60 and not that much of a discount vs. buying single cartridges.

There is a reason that the value pack is so much cheaper. The cartridges are not full! I just got off the phone with HP tech support and they confirmed this. The cartridges sold with the value pack are labeled as *custom* cartridges that have enough ink to print 150 4X6 photos. In fact, the tech support rep discribed the *custom* cartridges as having "way less" than standard cartridges, "less than 50% full". On a related note, I asked him if the initial cartridges that came with my new printer were full, and he said they should have been full standard cartridges. So this value pack isn''t such a great value now, is it?
Want HP 02 Series Ink Cartridges Discount?
As others have noted, these cartridges are not full cartridges, even though HP very cleverly avoids giving you that info. On their website, for a single cartridge purchase, the details list the ML in the cartridge, not so for the Value Pack.I just bought the C6180 which requires that the "initialization" cartridges in the box be used first. Mine we''re faulty and now I''ve got to wait for HP to overnight new ones, even though I''ve got a value pack sitting here.
I should have known better. All 5 colors and B&W for $36 (plus photo paper) when individual cartridges cost $10. When you shop in a grocery store the merchant is required to tell you how much product you are paying for, why shouldn''t HP be required to do the same.
Shame, shame, HP.I thought I was getting a great deal by buying the "HP Custom 02 Value Pack" (6 cartridges with 150 sheets photo paper), until I noticed that the Staples price for the "HP 02 Color Combo Pack" (5 cartridges without black cartridge or photo paper) was significantly higher than the Value Pack! Go figure! For this equation to work, there must be a lot less ink in the Value Pack! I just wish that HP would disclose the facts. Makes me feel like I got ripped off.
***Update***
My suspicions have been confirmed! When I use these cartridges, I have discovered that the printer cartridge "ink level bar" only goes up part way. But when using one of the HP Color Combo ink catridges, the "ink level bar" goes up all the way and shows as full. Buy the HP 02 Color Combo Pack instead!
Photosmart C309n TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer w/Fax/Duplex/Wireless
- Hp photosmart premium web aio printer
Their basic engine for scanning, printing etc still seems the best @ under $250 but they seem to be coasting on old R&D which has been reduced drastically in receint years.
These days they put these fine engines in boxes with cheap plastic hinges, etc and then by not offering replacement parts force you to junk otherwise working units.
Ink prices are getting stratispheric and this unit, each time you turn the printer on, seems to spit out vast quantities internally in "Head Cleaning".
In the ''old days'' you could control the frequency, if not the volume, of this "ink loss" but apparently no longer. "Just Trust HP" [the folks who tap the phones of their own Board Members] not to waste your ink dollars.
A printed Manual? Forget it! You''re directed to their web site where you find false & misleading information because the author failed to note that instructions for the touch-screen version of push-button models differ.
And when you use their handy E-Mail-For-Help function to point this out, they reply, not with correct instructions or a ''Thanks For The Heads Up'' but by telling you to use the Call Center they''ve hired in Bangladesh or somewhere.
Those folks are delightful to talk to but not for the two hours plus that it took the last time, WITHOUT ANY SOLUTION! [I eventually realized HP''s full CD was "choaking" mid-way through in my cd drive and I then just downloaded their programs from their web-site].
If you''re an Investor, selling HP short is redundant as they''re already doing it to themselves.

After a week or so of use, I could no longer connect to Wifi. After following the instructions on the support forum, I discovered that the printer had a "bad radio" and I would have to contact HP for a replacement (given the # of others that I''ve seen on the support forum with the same complaint, I can''t understand why this isn''t a recall issue, but that''s for a different soap box). I contacted HP support and was run through the same procedures I had already been through just to arrive at the same conclusion. I was then told that HP would contact me the next day so I could provide my CC # for a deposit on the replacement. 4 days later a rep called while I was in Surgery and provided a ticket # and # to call back. The call back resulted in being transferred 3 different times just to find out that I needed to call another #. Where the fun really begins is the # I was finally provided was the # I had originally called! Call me cynical, but this circular "support" scheme seems to be devised to discourage replacement. In addition, every support person I spoke with, while very cordial, were very difficult to understand d/t very thick accents. After the 3rd round about, I was finally instructed to call a different #. At this point, I was told that my service ticket was useless and I had to provide serial/model #s, etc and repeat the troubleshooting process all over again.
JHC. Seriously? I understand that one customer to a company as large as HP really doesn''t matter, but how can they ethically conduct business in this manner?
I would discourage anyone from buying this product or any other from HP until their approach to consumer service is righted and the reliability of their products is improved significantly.

I cannot recommend this product for anyone with Mac OS X. The scanner simply does not work as it should. There is a common and well documented issue with the scanner interface in Mac OS X resetting the Source Size Field to zero. No matter what numbers you type in, for example 8.5" by 11", the size field resets and it prompts you to input new values before scanning. This problem can be avoided by not clicking on the details page but it''s on the details page where you adjust resolutions and the file name. Sometimes I want to scan black and white text documents and sometimes I want to scan pictures with archival quality i.e. scan it at a very high resolution. Neither Apple nor HP seem to have found a solution for this problem.I cannot recommend this product as a scanner.

Printer eats ink too fast and jams paper when it doesn''t have a complaint about something else. And when it has a complaint, you cannot use it til it is ''fixed''. Needs refined. My experience is enough to make me never buy another HP product!Great functionality, but... HP provided an online software update that crashed it 4+ months ago. We called HP support who attempted to trouble shoot and determined that a replacement was needed. This is when it got really bad (service)... HP somehow never received faxes, or scanned email receipts on multiple occasions and never replaced it. Delay after delay after delay. I would not recommend HP printers at all. The printer was on warranty and was less than 5 months old when the issues started. We made amazon.com aware and they eventually made it right with us when HP would not.

The overall quality of print is passable but not top of the line nor a good choice if you want nice photo-quality prints.
However, if you need to print normal text or perhaps a page from the internet, it does fine. The pages come out at a fair pace (better than one would expect from a small printer) and the quality is acceptable.
The footprint is relatively small and if you plan to carry around with you, expect to use something like a backpack or camera style backpack for your laptop and the printer.
The blue tooth that comes with it works well enough. Just remember to install the blue tooth drivers then deal with Windows itself (in that order).
The one real caveat relates to small printer small ink cartridges. One has to realize to keep this unit small and consume little power, the cartridges are on the small side. Fortunately, they are easily found at various merchants and not an odd special cartridge(s). There is the option to get slightly larger ones but again, the larger ones are also fairly small in output.
Last on the not so good list HP insists on some of their inkjets to use flimsy mechanisms for housing the ink cartridges. In this case they have some "wires" bent to work with the install assembly of the cartridges. This is asking for trouble sooner or later.
I have not ran enough paper through to experience any paper feed problems and thus, cannot comment on this. This is an important part and as those who have had laser printers and inkjets know this can be a problem that occurs over time.
Overall the unit is passable and in some respect very nice. I give it three stars rather than four because of the ink install assembly. The blue tooth, compactness, reasonable output are all to be appreciated.

Set up easily bluetooth has about a 15 foot range the wifi is probably multi-room with a longer range. The printer takes up less space than most wired printers but isn''t all that small. It''s a lttle bulky and heavy for carrying around but the print quality is fine. I needed a small mobile printer suitable for taking to Court and setting up right at the counsel table. This way, when a judge wants to read a case, or receive a short pleading, we can bang it out right away rather than have some poor devil from my office hop in a car to drive it over to us as in former times. Also, since this printer is color, we can occasionally use it to knock out a photo or whatnot as an exhibit when needed. The fact that it has a pretty beefy battery adds to the versatility of this nice accessory. My H470wbt installed automatically and effortlessly on my Windows Vista notebook computer. It downloaded both the device driver and an update to the driver without prompting me one single time. It simply went about its business efficiently and unobtrusively. In fact, that is pretty much the theme of this friendly little device. It simply works and works well. It is very quiet too, so you won''t draw any complaints from even the crankiest host.
The unit comes with a snappy leather case for transporting to and from Court or wherever.
The unit is intuitive enough that I have yet to crack the manual, although if/when I utilize its bluetooth capacity I suppose I will need to do that.
HP has produced a winner. Highly recommendedGood things about this printer :
Print Quality : I''ve printed lots of graphics and photos from my PDA. They all look very good. Documents print quickly.
Interfaces : The printer comes with a BlueTooth adapter. This works well, plug it in and go. If you want wireless printing, the WiFi adapter costs about $90. I spent a decent amount of time with HP tech support getting my wireless configured. I think this could''ve been done better but tech support was very good. There is also a USB cable, printing from a laptop via USB works well. *Note: You cannot use WiFi and BlueTooth at the same time each requires an adapter and there is only one slot available for the adapters.
Portability : It''s light weight for a color printer, but it''s still heavy enough that I wouldn''t want to carry it far. It comes with a nice leather case that fits snugly on the printer.
Battery : the printer also comes with a rechargeable battery. I have not used it much. It fits into the back of the unit and does not stick out very far. If you are on the road a lot, this would be very convenient.
HP Solutions Center : This comes on the start up CD. It is a pain. Whenever you turn on your computer, it will take forever to start up because the HP software ties up your processor accessing your internet looking for updates. I went into start up processes on my PC and turned it off. It''s a bit slow starting up now.
