I have used both VV''s Victorian Prints silk and cotton sheets in my printer.-Both are fabulous. In trying to find the best for color that lasted, I tested 7 different brands. VV Victorian Prints''s sheets are by far the best. Beautiful, rich, colors, that stay on the fabrics

Absolutely LOVED this product. I bought 2 different brands for testing and can''t imagine even trying the other! The directions were very clear and the final product (pillow case with pictures of my grand-daughter) is absolutely perfect!! The colors are very precise and the fabric has a perfect feel/texture to it. I will be re-ordering for future projects. Thank you!

I purchased the Inkjet Printable Cotton Fabric to make a gift for my sister. I scanned an old photo of us onto it... it worked great! Then made a small pillow out of it... she loved it! Next I will scan old photos and make quilts or whatever with the printed fabric. I highly recommend it!

I was feverishly looking for a product that I could use to put appliques of pictures onto quilts for our Veterans and Wounded Warriors. This Transfer Sheet has worked wonderfully for this application.

I had used a different product in the past and had been very pleased with the results. However, I read many good reviews on the VV Inkjet Printable Cotton Fabric and decided to give it a try. I could never get the color kelly green to come out in the right hue. It was very disappointing and I eventually went back to my previous product. I''m not sure if I can mention the name of the other product, so I won''t. But, I won''t be recommending or using this product again.

I was interested in the novelty of being able to print select pics from my Canon A20 digital camera (a great camera too). I read the reviews on the HP 100, the 130''s "little sibling". I tried the HP 100 out at home and although the printer was okay (meaning the concept was pretty cool), I was not impressed with the printing quality. So, I returned the HP 100 and bought the HP PS 130 --what an amazing difference. Truly, the HP PS130 produces professional quality 4 x 6 and wallet size prints. There was no comparison between the output in the 130 compared to the 100. The difference is that the HP 130 has 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution, whereas the HP 100 is 2400 x 1200 dpi.

The printer is relatively quiet, is pretty fast and easy to use. One drawback: I can see where having a screen to view the picture would be helpful, but it is not crucial. Also, like the other reviews for the other photo printers mention, this is not the most cost effective way to print 24 pictures because the paper and the printer cartridge are not cheap, but the ability to print out the pics you want almost instantaneously is very rewarding.

I have not yet tried out the HP software that is included, nor have I connected the printer to my computer. The literature with the printer indicates that when connected to the computer the resolution on the 130 decreases from 4800 x 1200 to 2400 x 1200 dpi which, if true, would be unfortunate. For now, I have no need to attach the printer to my computer, so I have nothing to worry about.

Good luck, and read the Amazon.com reviews, I have found them very helpful.

I purchased this little printer after my friend gave the printer two thumbs up. I have read many reviews about the printer and agian, two thumbs up. Honestly, the printer does a wonderful job. There are a couple draw backs that people normally do not hear about.

The first draw back, is printing from a media card that you insert into the printer. The printer automatically trims a bit off the sides of the photos. So, you will need to be careful when taking pictures and remember; your printer may cut off some one''s forehead.

Another draw back is the lack of instruction for hooking the printer upto the computer. There really aren''t any!! The only way to achieve the 4800x1200 DPI is to have the printer connected to a computer. If the computer is not connected, you get 2400 x 1200 DPI. Not to many reviews tell you this little tid bit of information.

The biggest draw back to this printer is the cost per picture. The Inkjet will produce 120 images without a problem. ... Plus, the printer will only produce good, reliable images on HP photo paper (I have tried 2 other stocks of paper besides the HP paper without a good result) ...

A wonderful quality about the printer is how easy it is to use right out of the box, and not hooked upto a computer. Without a comuter hooked upto this printer, I had the printer running within a few minutes. The printer came with a large poster style quick setup guide just for people like me.... It is idiot proof(LOL)

The image quality is wonderful. You can barely tell the photo is from a printer. But the price per photo is rather high. You can purchase other prnters for about the same price that have costs per photo half of what this HP product does.

HP has done it again! This little baby is, by far, the nicest printing product offered. Forget the 230 and its LCD screen. This one will do the same thing .... The menu system is foolproof and the photo quality output is beyond approach. While it''s limited to 5x7 output, it''s perfect for the average photographic need. Combined with the Sony DSC-S85 (or 75), you have a perfect combination to get top quality prints quickly and effortlessly. And, by the way, it reads all existing media cards and you don''t even need a PC to use it (although it''s USB-compatible and comes with the necessary PC software).

When I first set up this printer and printed out a photo, the first thing I noticed was how fast it was. In less than 2 minutes, I had an excellent quality 4 x 6. I had been using an Epson Stylus Photo 780 before, and it took 10-15 minutes just to print a 4 x 6. It also used a lot of ink. This printer is very ink efficient. It''s perfect for digital camera users because it has a built-in memory card reader that accepts 5 different types of memory. You can use it to print directly from memory cards or from your computer. One improvement they could make on a future model should be to try to eliminate paper jams, because they are somewhat frequent. A model that would print 5 x 7 would also be nice. Overall this printer is one investment worth its small price.

Considering that this is an older model from HP (HP discontinued this model and suggest to buy Photosmart 145 as an alternative), this is a good printer. It does pretty well what it promises to do print quality 4x6 photos. The printer is easy to set up and easy to use. It accepts different types of digital memory cards and is pretty fast in printing less than 30 seconds to print one photo. The quality of the prints is as good as regular camera prints your friends wouldn''t tell the difference unless you tell them. The one inconvenience with this printer is the non-availability of print preview facility on the printer you have to note down the serial number of the image (by viewing on the camera) before inserting the digital memory card into the printer. Overall, this is a good printer for the price you get it.

I ordered these labels hoping to be very pleased after reading the reviews. I was so disappointed when I opened the package and realized that this is no difference with the front and back of the label, so now I have to go through and mark the back of each label so that we don''t get it mixed up when printing. I am also disappointed that there aren''t any cut lines in the paper backing to help peel the paper off the label. You never know exactly what something will be like when you order online, but now I know. I think that the labels are of good quality, but I''m slightly frustrated in the added time I''m going to have to put into using these labels.

Buy OnlineLabels.com® Full-sheet Shipping Labels for Laser & Inkjet Printers Now

These labels are GREAT and have an AMAZING price, but the only way to differentiate between the front of the labels and the back is to peel them apart. Once, you have that figured out, though, they''re a great product! They''re decently sticky, not easy to see through if you''re placing them on top of something else (I use them for water bottle labels), and you can''t beat the price and the ease of printing. I have used them with professional laser printers and at home on my inkjet and I get great quality both ways. Also, I ordered them and got them 2 days later, which is awesome because this company fills their own orders, they aren''t filled by Amazon.

I gave them a 5 only because there isn''t a 4.5 listed--the front/back thing is a little annoying (I''ve printed an entire order on the wrong side once), but its flaw mixes with user error, so if you''re careful, you won''t have the same problem I did!

This review depends on which supplier you buy from , i would recommend buying from OnlineLabels because his peel quickly & and easy & the seller OnlineProductsForAll labels are very difficult to peel & you will spend 20-30 seconds each label peeling & that is if you have good vision & fingernails .

I have not bought from the other suppliers, so i am not able to review any others.

  • Empower workteams with printcopyscanfaxand digital sending
  • The MFP delivers print and copy speeds of up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) and a first page out in under 10 seconds with Instant-on Technology
  • Experience simpledependable networking

Bought this in Feb.2007. Features were great. Scan to network (and PDF build) were the main reason for buying this. Fax was excellent. Jams in the doc feeder were more common than should be for something over $2,000 in price.

After the 1-year warranty expired, a cheap rubber belt in the document feeder broke, which stopped the entire printer from functioning. That cost $400, because they won''t sell the belt, and the authorized service tech will not do it. You have to buy an entire document feeder assembly, pay for the installation, then the installer takes the old one away.

Now, the printer crashed in the middle of copying. The firmware was trashed and cannot be re-loaded. Wasted 2 hours with HP tech support (which costs $25 for an online chat session). Went through the same procedures I already spent 1/2 hour doing. I kept having to correct the HP rep and repeating steps.

This board replacement will cost $629. But, at least I get my $25 "chat fee" returned. Whoopee. They won''t even refer it to our local authorized HP shop that''s a mile down the street. They''re sending an independent tech. What great business.

If you are going to buy this printer, buy the extended service pack from HP. You will definitely need it.

Started the "chat" at 3:42pm. Ended at 6:11pm. Funny, at the beginning there was a pop-up request for a satisfaction survey. Now that the session has ended...there''s no survey.

I''m usually a big HP fan. Their output is never the prettiest, but the machines keep working for years and years, even after heavy use and infrequent preventative maintenance.

Seems like their quality has gone seriously downhill. Just replaced two identical JetDirect cards that went south. Both are three years old...one was never even used. Just sat in the printer.

I hope HP can resurrect their image. Bad techs and broken equipment just won''t cut it. Especially when you pay a premium for the brand name.

Buy Hewlett Packard LaserJet M3035XS Multifunction Printer CC477A#BCC Now

First off, website was deceptive. Unless you read the very, very fine print, you won''t know that the base model of this "MFP" doesn''t include a FAX. How can it be an "MFP" without a FAX? In fact, once I had unpacked the machine and began to assemble then realized there was no FAX, I learned that you can''t even upgrade it for a FAX and they won''t exchange without a 25% re-stocking fee. What a racket!

Second, within days I learned that the ADF jams frequently in duplex mode, and there is NO PROCEDURE for clearing an ADF jam. You literally have to disassemble the ADF then tear out the jammed document bit by bit. Finally convinced HP to send another ADF...it jams too...but only if original weight is less than say 22 lbs paper. 20 lb originals are very iffy for duplex copying...may jam, may not.

Third, variable output quality. Actually, print quality is OK and one of the reasons I bought HP...none of that light-weight eyestrain typeface that comes standard on every Brother printer. However, copies are atrocious. There is no ''copy'' setting that will produce consistently dark enough copies that can actually be copied themselves!

Finally, technical support that actually gives the US Post Office a run for its money in terms of indifference, attitude and stupidity.

Now today, my partner has informed me the printer jams on virutally every print job. To clear, one must remove and replace the paper tray, open and close the toner door, then wait for printer to reset.

I''ll sell ours today (eight months old, spare ADF, only 18k copies) for $500. Still have the original shipping carton...hell of a deal.

My how the mighty HP has fallen. Used to be the defacto standard of reliability & quality.

Fax is well hidden on the back but it does have a FAX!!!!!

The fax option is kind of hidden on these model printers, if you are looking at the back of the machine where the board is look above the board and there is a plastic cover with a slot cut out put your finger there and remove that cover and that is where the fax is.

We use this as a scanner, printer, and photocopier. We have operated the HP M3035xs several years, and nearly 200,000 printed pages. We use it extensively in network scanning. It has an incredibly fast scanner. You can set the settings to suit photos or text. The scanned documents go into our Paperport 12 software quickly and without a hitch.

We had only one maintenance issue. The paper feeding into the scanner stopped feeding individual sheets. It was relatively inexpensive to fix. I operate a small law office. We have used it to print up to 600 pages for appeal briefs at a time.

And the scanning as mentioned is a great bonus to us.

The only improvement I would recommend to HP is to allow the user to set a default mode for copying and scanning text or photos. Instead the default mode is somewhere in between, and you must manually select "text" if you want a regular photocopy, or the copy or scan turns out grayed.

This machine, by far, is the most reliable and outstanding photocopier / printer I have owned.

This printer is awesome. The scan to network feature actually works! Integration to Active Directory is a bit tricky but there is a nice writeup with examples here: http://nvelocity.info/index.php?title=MFP_3035xs_LDAP_configuration

MFP''s rarely work as advertised, but this one does it all. The Fax and Scanning features are top notch and the printer is fast fast fast.

After struggling with an inject printer for two years that would do everything but print, my daughter decided she needed a new printer for college. Her requirements were simple... it needed to take up little space and it had to print. I prefer laser to ink jet by a huge margin, and selected this Panasonic for it''s price, features (print/scan/fax), and size.

After moving in to her new college apartment, I only received one call from her about the printer. It, like most printers, doesn''t come with a printer cable. I figured she''d use the one she already had, but that was no where to be found. So I told her to go to BestBuy and purchase a USB printer cable. (I would have sent her one from Amazon, but even an overnight delay would lose her concentration.) The shocking thing was the clerk at BestBuy wasn''t sure what to sell her. What?

In any case, she is very happy with her new printer and I am very happy not to be troubleshooting her printer setup over the phone.

This product was a very good deal until you started to use it. The drivers were amazingly hard to set up. I had to take it to computer shop and get them to do it for me. Even they had problem with it. It also did not have USB port with it. Nor a full ink cartridge. The price was good was I think it was too much for the quality of the printer and the degree of trouble I had setting it up. Sorry, Amazon. This was just not a good deal. I''ve never written a bad review for anything from you but this is a first for me.

didn''t buy it from here but thought it needs some justification. this is not that bad esp comparing with lexmarks...

after i bought this one, after the lexmarks, i decide to dump the lmk and stick with hp

even the cheapest is fast (black or color, text or picture), no waitings for warmup, print quality''s decent, does its work as it is supposed to. you don''t have to worry about downloading the installations since once you first plugin the usb cable it automatically pops out (true for macs, not sure about windows), a few min later it''s ready to use, no harass, (with lexmarks, i download, install, redownload, reinstall for 6 times and it still does not work, at all), no annoying pop outs, it''s just in your system when you need to use it

for a printer for normal use, that''s way enough.

I got this printer purely because of price. It has performed normally and I am very happy with it. I am posting this review because my experience is so different from some reviewers.

I had one case of printing segments of the document on multiple pages. Attempts to feed single sheets got the same result, indicating it was not the paper or printer. It went away after a restart of the PC.

I have had dozens of printers over the years. This printer is as good as most and I would buy it again.

I''ve got this printer because I''m in college and I have homework and stuff to print all the time. So far it has worked fine and it''s fast as heck when you print black and white-fast draft. People complain about the number of copies printed but I think they come with a sample of ink so you can start right out of the box. The ink you buy has more ml/oz, so don''t give up on a great printer. By the way,I have 2 HP printers and all our 7 computers in the house are HP, I trust the quality.

Unlike some of the other reviewers here, we have enjoyed this printer combo.

The ink carts come in two sizes, so if you want longer lasting ink just get the xl size. I also noticed Amazon sells refurb ink carts for just $10 with Prime free shipping so we''re happy about that as well.

We purcahsed ours for just $25 around Christmas 2011. Six months later and there is nothing to complain about and I am just ordering new black ink today.

After a big storm five or six months ago with power fluctuations and outages, my old Lexmark would no longer power on. I don''t do a lot of printing. I just need something that can do the occasional rebate form or recipe or Mapquest map as well as a quick copy now and then. The local Wally mart had this unit on sale for twenty-five bucks, so I picked one up. Heck, that''s less than what you''d pay for the color and black print cartridges for any printer on the market!

As I said, my print demands are light, so the negative reviews I found here didn''t faze me that much. I was very pleasantly surprised by this little guy''s performance. It''s acceptably fast, has very good print quality for both text and images and has had no problems whatsoever. It''s not blazingly fast, but it''s certainly fast enough. I have my print preferences set to fast draft-mode and the output is fine--very crisp and clear. Colors are rich and saturated, no banding or jaggies.

I''ve had no issues with paper jams, but I think that has more to do with the paper you use than with the printer. Look at any printer on this site and you''ll see a substantial portion of the reviews complaining about paper misfeeds. It doesn''t matter whether the printer is expensive or cheap, the rants about paper jams are ever-present. I use HP 24lb inkjet paper and I suspect that''s why I have no problems in this area.

Installation went smoothly. I have had the 1051 for about four months now. I''ve probably printed about 40 to 50 pages total. HP''s print utility tells me that I''ve used a little more than half of my black-and-white cartridge and a little less than half of the color. I continue to be pleased with both printer and copier in terms of quality and performance. I haven''t used the scanner.

***EDIT 11/2012*** I continue to be pleased with the HP 1051. I''m in the process of selling my home, and the lawyer prefers that I scan my documents and email them to him rather than FAX, so I''ve gotten some experience with the 1051''s scanner. HP gives you a scan utility that allows you to just choose what you want. Photo to JPEG or to TIF, or Document to PDF. That''s all you have to do. It works perfectly! My document PDF files are completely legible with just the right brightness and contrast. You can tweak settings if you want, but I haven''t found the need to do so.

I have exhausted the starter black cartridge that came with the printer. I''d guess about 75 pages. The folks that whine and carry on about expensive inks need to understand that *ALL* printers are like that. That''s the pricing model the the manufacturers use. They take a loss on the printer hardware itself and then make their money on the replacement ink. You can bluster and fulminate about how you''ll never buy another HP again, but you''ll discover that whichever brand you switch to plays the same game with the ink. It''s just a fact of life.

I bought one ream to see how it would run through my laser printer. I had no problem. I was impressed it and just bought 4 more. There is no significant difference in the feel of the paper where the perforation line is. The line is very fine and tears off easy enough. However, it isn''t readily visible to the eye and doesn''t just fall off in your hand. As long as it is obvious to the user that the bottom is torn off it should cause no real problem. Personally, I wish the line was a little more noticeable to the eye. But, it works and is priced to sell.

First, all in all, I really like this printer. For its price, the quality is quite nice. I also own the similarly priced HP Photosmart Premium Wireless e-All-in-One printer, which makes it easier for me to explain what I do and don''t like about this Canon.

Let''s get print quality out of the way first...to me, most color printers in this price range are perfectly acceptable, and the Canon MX432 fits right in with the rest. For day-to-day printing of documents and photos, this meets my needs. If you are looking for top-of-the-line print quality, you probably are not even reading reviews of low-cost multifunction printers.

Set up: this went very smoothly. The "quick start" guide got me up and running. I used the WPS wireless setup feature which was as simple as pushing a button on my router and my printer and waiting for them to discover each other (my router supports WPS...no big deal if yours doesn''t, it will just take a couple extra setup steps to get it working with your network...and of course, USB will work fine too). What I really like about the setup is that it never required a USB connection. Once the printer was on my wireless network, the rest of the setup took place wirelessly. (One exception: AirPrint...see below)

Printing on different media: My HP multifunction printer has separate feeds for photo paper and letter-size paper, meaning I don''t have to switch back and forth. The Canon, on the other hand, has no such convenience. Not a big deal, but a minor inconvenience if you plan to switch back and forth frequently.

Scanning: I LOVE the Canon''s automatic document feed tray for scanning multiple pages. I tested it out and it worked great. Put in a few pages, start the scanning, and a multi-page pdf is automatically generated and saved on my computer. I expect I''ll get a lot of use out of this. By contrast, my HP only scans one page at a time.

Noise: I found printing on the Canon to be peacefully quiet...quieter than the HP. On the other hand, each time I press a button on the Canon''s control panel, I get a loud "BEEP!" I fumbled through the controls to try to figure out how to silence this, but I haven''t figured it out yet. Time to check the manual.

AirPrint: This was my one big frustration with the Canon, and the sole reason for docking it one star. First, understand what AirPrint is...it allows most newer iOS devices to automatically print to the printer wirelessly...no special app needed. When I got my HP, the process was seamless! I set up the printer for my network, and AirPrint functionality just took care of itself: open an e-mail on my iPhone, go to print it, and voila! There was my HP printer. Now, if you read Amazon''s product description for the Canon, you will see that it boasts of the same AirPrint functionality. But be sure to read the fine print! It says that you may need to first update the firmware on the Canon so that it can work with AirPrint. How do you do the updating? Well, my first guess was to check the pdf manual that gets installed with my printer. But there''s no mention of updating firmware, and there''s no mention of AirPrint! So, I went to Canon''s support site, found details there, and downloaded the firmware update. But THEN I found that the firmware could only be updated using a USB cable. So, even though I was pleased that I could set up my Canon without needing a cable, I couldn''t get AirPrint to work until I did an update that required the cable.

To be fair: Once the firmware update was completed, AirPrint worked just as well as on my HP. And the USB cable is ONLY needed until the firmware update is complete...you don''t need to keep it tethered to your computer. Also, I assume that if you wait long enough to buy this printer, Canon will probably be updating the firmware before you buy it (if they DON''T, then hopefully they will include clear steps on how to do it yourself). However, if you are expecting AirPrint to be as simple as possible, understand that you may have to do a little extra work before it is functional.

I haven''t tested faxing yet, but am very happy with scanning, printing, and AirPrint functionality. If you can get over the hurdle of setting up AirPrint, then I expect you will be very happy with this printer!

(#1 Hall OF FAME REVIEWER)(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM) The Canon Office Products PIXMA MX432 Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax is a very good device that provides a lot of features for a great value. As more of an entry-level multi-function printer, many features require a lot of work to set up and use. But because of the great value provided by this unit, plenty of people will be willing to accept the extra work required to use all the features offered by this model.

PROS:

++ Built-in wireless allows you to easily print from any wireless device

++ Great auto-document feeder allows for easy automatic workflow for scanning, etc.

++ AirPrint compatible for your Apple devices (like iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad)

++ High quality scanner is low-profile, adding functionality without bulking up the unit

++ G3 fax integrated into the unit

++ Also includes basic copier functionality

++ Optional Bluetooth unit allows for direct printing from your digital camera

++ Good value printer given all the features and the small footprint

CONS:

-Wireless and feature setups can be time-consuming

-Using many features, like duplexing, requires manual user intervention

-AirPrint setup requires time-consuming firmware update

-Inkjet cartridges will add cost over time, compared to alternatives

-Switching between regular paper and photo paper is required, because there aren''t separate trays

-LCD screen can be difficult to read, depending on your viewing angle

-Shiny plastic attracts dust and fingerprints

-Included software, while effective, is large and split between too many applications

-Very limited memory interfaces (USB is included)

-Overall feel of the printer does not seem durable

CONCLUSION

This is a good value for the features. If you have very little desk real estate, it''s nice to get a built-in scanner and fax machine to go along with your printer. Being able to switch between photos and documents is a nice extra too. But there are too many things that limit this model. I would definitely recommend moving up to a better model if the budget allows for it. If you just need a feature packed entry level unit and you don''t mind the extra effort it takes to use it, you could do worse than this model.

Enjoy.

It has been a few years since I have had a new printer/scanner. The printer I have been using for a few years was Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One Photo Printer (Gray) and for awhile it was all I needed, the printer worked great and the scanner was great. But, it has been time for an upgrade for quite some time.

So, when I was given the chance to try this Canon multifunction scanner, I was very excited!

It did take me almost 10 minutes to set it upthe part that took me the longest to set up was the wireless. But once I got that part figured outit was user error ( I was trying to put my wireless password instead of the passphrase ).

The wireless printer is awesome, All of the computers in my house can run off the one printerwhich is perfectno need to move the old printer from computer to computer.

I really like the auto feed of the paper and how quickly the page prints.

I do not have a need for the faxbut I just tested it out just to see how it would workand it was very simple.

I do not see us getting that much use out of the fax but its a nice feature to have.

I entered my number in the set up and a fax came thru while I had it plugged into the hardwire at home.

The scanner works greatquickly scans the document and puts it in a file on the computer.

I see the price is under $100 and that is an awesome price for this!

I was not disappointed at all with this printer/scanner/fax, if you are looking for a new printer or an upgrade this one is great for the price (even if it was more money its worth it)

There is quite a bit I did not care for with this printer. After installation and testing, these are my takes:

* Upon opening, you will discover the paper storage is not enclosed in a tray. In fact, there is no paper tray, just a slot to slide the paper into after the front panel is lowered. The paper then pokes out the front of the printer to collect dust. Eventually, the dust travelling on the paper into the printer will likely affect paper feed and print quality. Also, the front of the printer must remain open while there is paper inserted in the printer.

* The footprint of the printer, even without paper inserted and the front panel opened, is large. Similar sized printers have concealed paper trays.

* The display is two line and, more importantly, not backlit.

* The menus on the display are not intuitive to navigate

* Setting up Wi-Fi via the display proved to be unfriendly and time consuming given there were absolutely no printed directions. I gave up and elected to do it after the software installation via the software interface like the quick start instructions suggested. So, I chose USB during install thinking I could then configure wireless. Wrong choice (see below).

* After installation I had EIGHT new icons on my desktop without any choice during installation.

* Once the printer installed via USB, I could not connect using Wi-Fi. The program the user manual states to launch to configure wireless the "IJ Network" utility had not been installed.

* No printed directions were included for information as fundamental as describing what the pretty little pictures on the unlabeled buttons on the front of the printer mean.

* The biggest deal breaker is the lack of choice on which drive 400 PLUS megabytes of software installs itself. I kept expecting the installation wizard to give me a choice but instead it started installing all of the software to the C drive with no ability to cancel the process.

I installed this printer on a fast gaming rig with a solid state boot drive I keep clean from excess software. I have a huge secondary drive onto which I install programs such as these from Canon. I resent that the Canon programs and utilities automatically installed to my boot drive thus taking up quite a bit of valuable real-estate on my SSD. I really, really resent having to now explore how to uninstall all of these Canon utilities and reinstall the software I was using for my other Canon printer onto the correct drive. I have installed many printers including other Canon printers. I build my own PCs. I have worked as a network administrator in the past. I have a bit of tech knowhow. But I am truly annoyed at the amount of time and effort a simple printer install has taken and I am not finished yet.

For a wireless printer in my upstairs work area, I recently installed an Epson WorkForce 630 Color Inkjet All-in-One (C11CB07201) with more features, a more solid build, a smaller foot print, a real paper tray and separate ink tanks for color printing all for about the same price as this Canon. The Epson also has a memory card reader and faster print speeds. The Epson install was not without a hiccup but was much easier than the MX 432 has turned out to be.

On the plus side, the quality of the printing and scanning on the MX 432 are good. Nothing "OMG its great" but adequate and what is expected at the price point. The software interface is good and with a similar feel to previous Canon releases for their multi-function units. Another plus, the new software seems to work fine with my older MP 830, which will remain my main printer.

Overall, I would pick the Epson Workforce 630 hands down over the Canon MX 432 for this price range. I hate to pan the printer; I still love and use my Canon MP830. But this model is a definite "pass."

Even though I use high quality paper, this printer would not print without jamming paper. Had printer for less than a week and I am returning it for a full refund. Quite disappointed in a Canon product.
