Moab Anasazi Canvas Prm Matte 350 8.5x11 Single Sided 20 Sheets

Moab Anasazi Canvas Prm Matte 350 8.5x11 Single Sided 20 SheetsI bought both the 13x19 and the 8-1/2x11 and will not buy the 8-1/2 x 11 again because it is cut smaller than size and jams my printers. The 8.5 inches is actually about 8.4 inches and the 11 inches is just a hair short.

I have a Canon Pixma 9000 and the 13x19 works beautifully, I would recommend it to anyone and not have any problems about it. I have a print of an Elephant Seal from San Simeon that is my pride and joy thanks to this canvas.

However, when I try to run the letter sized version my Canon tells me it is the wrong size, then I set it to custom size and the feed rollers pull the canvas in and simply start spinning. I ended up with black streaks on the back, no ink on the front and pulling the canvas out of the printer about a dozen times before I gave up. I tried both front and rear feed with similar results.

I had the same problem when I tried my Epson R200. I finally found that if I push the canvas down just as the printing process starts and then keep just a little pressure on it the printer will handle the canvas and I get a decent product. But I don''t want to spend 5 minutes (my Epson is very slow) holding and coddling each print.

So, while the product is great in the 13x19 form, stay away from this one until they get it sized properly and get it to work in at least a couple of photo printers.

This paper is so RICH, the colors and depth are exceptional. What I''ve learned since first experimenting with inkjet photo papers is that you can''t go wrong with MOAB! I''m still a fan of Ilford for everyday photos. But when printing 8 x 10 or larger for display, I grab MOAB. I could ramble on and on about this product and bore you silly, so I suggest that you just try it and put the prints side by side, see it for yourself. Seeing is believing.

Lexmark X8350 All-in-One Printer Plus Photo

Lexmark X8350 All-in-One Printer Plus Photo
  • Sold Individually

This is one terrific printer. It was easy to install, though it would be nice if they''d include a USB cable. One of my first impressions of it was that it was very sturdily built. Unlike many other machines in the same price range, this has a solid feel. The controls are very easy to use, and the color screen is a great feature. It''s got easy to follow menus for all functions.

The list of features goes on and on. Everything works great as a standalone. The basic features function exactly as they''re supposed to; dig a little deeper and you''ll find some pretty neat options. For example you can make a simple copy, or reduce or enlarge, or take one image and duplicate it multiple times on one page. Or it will take multiple different pages and combine them onto one page.

It can read from memory cards, show the pictures on the screen, and print them without turning the computer on. It will also read from USB memory sticks, and can connect directly to some digital cameras.

Print quality is excellent in both black and white and color. I haven''t used it much for photos yet one drawback is that to really do photos you need to swap out the standard color cartridge for a color photo cartridge. With the standard cartridge, color pictures are just acceptable.

Paper handling so far has also been very good. Envelopes and invitation card stock paper work just fine.

The only feature I wish this unit had was network capability. But all in all, a highly recommended product.

After doing my research I decided on this printer due to the features and the price. It is the only multifunction printer for $120 that offers a small screen to make corrections to photos and lets you print directly from your memory card. However, it has major software problems. The software did not load easily into my computer, it always showed an icon with error message an the bottom. I was able to print without problem and the quality of the prints was decent. The auto-feeder for the fax jammed if you load more than 3 pages.

My problem really started after I tried to restart my computer the next day, the printer software did allow my computer to boot. The only way for the computer to boot was when I remove the USB cable for the new printer. I reinstalled the software with no success, then I decided to get help from Lexmark. The first person had no clue after an hour of trying to help me; finally she got help from a supervisor that told me that this printer is so "advanced" that require that the bios on my computer be updated, he could not help me because it was not a printer problem, I needed to call my PC manufacturer. I pointed out that my HP PC was only a year old and this should not happen, he apologized and said not much he could do.

Since I had spended so much time trying to get a fix and I did like the printer, I decided to follow his advice and contact HP.

HP was willing to help for $49 and did no guarantee that updating the bios was going to fix the problem.

That is when I call it quits, $49 more did not make it such a good deal anymore.

I returned it and bought the HP 6210. It is more expensive and less features than the Lexmark; but, I did not even need the software that came with the printer, my PC recognized it with no problem.

It is a shame that Lexmark puts out a printer with this type of compatibility problems.

This is truly an awesome 3in1 printer! It was easy even for a non-techie person like me to set up. Can''t get any better printer for the money. Going from a simple Canon S520 printer, I really appreciate all of the added features and especially the media slots where I can print pictures from my flash card now instead of having to hook up my camera, download onto the computer, save into a file and then print. This is a good one you shouldn''t pass up on.

I''ve had the x8350 less than a month and I''ve had numerous problems with it:

(1)When booting up, I receive an error message telling me that the Lexmark device manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.

(2)I have trouble sending and receiving faxes. Faxes sometimes don''t go through.

(3) When I send faxes from the glass (instead of the automatic feeder), the fax prompts me whether I want to send multiple pages, even though I set the machine not to.

(4)When it prompts me to press 1 for yes or 0 for no, the machine often freezes, accepting neither selection.

As for support, Lexmark''s web site contains no support information on the x8350. I called, the phone support, and, after 2 hours, the technician solved none of my problems. He told me last night that a supervisor would call me within three hours. No one called. When I called again today, the technician said a supervisor would call me within 15 minutes. That was over 4 hours ago.

After this experience, I''ll never buy another Lexmark product.

Updated below! 12/29/2007

I returned to Lexmark after a bad experience with HP (see my other review). I have used this unit for several days now.

Another software install caution: the software expects your CD drive to be ''D''. Mine wasn''t. I meant that it didn''t auto-start so I had to manually start it.

Except for that very minor glitch it installed flawlessly.

I am now very cautiously exploring the capability. Why? Lexmark quality is down on this machine. In operation, it shakes, rattles and rolls. It almost misfed a page and makes a scary sound when it does start feeding a page. Print Quality does not seem to be up to what I consider Lexmark standards. I am being cautious because I just may return it. It appears to be straying further from the IBM heritage. I guess it proves again you get what you pay for.

I did not have any of the other problems....yet. So 3 stars to be fair. I hope it stays there and does not dive to 1.

Update 12/29/2007

Now 4 1/2 Stars

After almost a year of use I will have to say Lexmark still has HP beat. No problems. Everything works great. The document feeder amazes me on such a low cost unit. I tweeked things to get print quality up to par. No more misfeeds!

My wife loves the photo printing quality and we do not even use to photo ink cartridge.

Update 1/2/2013 This unit is still functioning flawlessly. Even mellowed with age and shakes less. What can I say Now 5 stars!

  • All-in-One Printer, 17"x15-4/5"x8-1/2", Black

I have two of these printers now. One for home, and one for my classroom at school. The print quality is good, but better, is the document feeder for scanning multiple page documents.

If I have a worksheet I love, and I want to have a digital copy to have up on the board, I pop it on the scanner, and BOOM, I''ve got an interactive assignment on my Promethean board! Also great for keeping record of documents from students. When my class hands in something they''ve signed, I place the whole pile on the feeder tray, scan them in all as one big PDF file, save it, and hand them back. Now I''ve got it on permanent record, and no stacks of paper cluttering my desk!

Also a great tool in the home. My wife and I recently bought a house, and if you''ve ever done that, you know there is an ENDLESS amount of paperwork. With ability to scan something in (Multiple or single pages) my wife and I could receive an e-mail, print the document, sign it, scan it, and send it back. Save us probably the cost of the printer, in gas alone, not having to drive out to meet our realtor every other day! We wont even talk on the savings of time because of that.

Great buy!

  • Long lasting prints

For some odd reason, Kodak chose to make this paper 4x6 3/8. So there will be one side with a 3/8" white bar. This is really annoying. Otherwise, the pictures do turn out with very good photo quality. So buy only if you don''t mind trimming the paper when you are done.

I love this Kodak paper...photo quality and since it is double sided, I can''t put it in the printer upside down!! Also, since it is a little longer than 4x6 there is no chance that I am printing on perforations. Kodak thought of everything when they thought of this. I wasted so much ink and paper trying to figure out other papers (HP, epson). Now I can spend more time selecting and editing the pics I want and not waste time or money worrying about the paper I''m printing on.

HP Premium Photo Paper, Glossy
  • Premium photo paper for inkjet printers.
  • The look and feel of a professional photo lab print from your printer.
  • Impressive, vibrant color with realistic skin tones and shiny blacks.
  • Perfect for high-resolution digital photos, reprints and high-impact business documents.

After buying my first HP photo printer, I ordered this paper. First it''s very inexpensive, compared to buying it at Staples or Office Depot about half the price. Second the print quality is really fantastic. It''s not quite as glossy as the HP premier plus paper (which I recommend if the prints are for something you want framed)but it''s just as good as anything you''d get at a lab. Actually it''s better considering you can edit the photo any way you like, if the hard copy isn''t exactly what you wanted. I highly recommend this product. FYIIf you buy it directly from HP it''s the same price and no shipping costs either.

Apparently, HP has stopped making the High Gloss version of the 4x6" Premium Plus photo paper. I bought this once by mistake and found the colors to be really awful, as if I had used really cheap paper. Buy their "Premium" paper instead. It''s almost as good as the "Premium Plus" used to be.

This paper is really nice. I have used a LOT of other Photo paper in the past, and this has to make for the best photos I''ve printed at home...ever...by a long shot. Clear, glossy pics. Works wonderful with the HP Photosmart I got it to go with.

Pros: This epson Printer is a very easy to use machine. I bought it to replace an old HP Laserjet at home. Also a bit of advise for when you buy Ink cartridges for the WP-4590 make sure to get another "Mainetance Box" to have on hand. This part stores waste ink and the Printer will not function if it gets full. So overall I would highly recommend this product.

Cons: The only downside to this Model is when you first install your Ink Cartridges or replace one you have to wait for 12 to 15 minutes for the machine to prime them.

Avery Light T-shirt Transfers for Inkjet Printers (4384)

Avery Light T-shirt Transfers for Inkjet Printers, 4 x 6-Inches, White, Pack of 15
  • Quality results for a professional, fashionable look
  • Use to personalize your T-shirts, hats, pants and even bags
  • Specially designed for 100% cotton or cotton/polyester blend fabric
  • Should not be used on expandable fabrics such as spandex or ribbed fabric
  • Sheet size is great for decorating sleeves, logos and accessories

Like many of the other reviewers mentioned the instructions are completely WRONG! Don''t follow the instructions included in the package! You don''t need to peel the transfer away from a backing paper, there is no wax sheet included, and you do need to mirror the image in order to have words show up the correct way and not backwards. That said, here are the correct instructions on how to use this transfer paper. Just click on "Light Tee Shirt":

[]...

Once I figured out that Avery included the instructions for a Dark Tee Shirt Transfer, I looked up the info and tried the Light Tee Shirt Transfer. The transfer comes out quite nice. You really need to use a non-stretchy type of fabric for the transfer to come out clearly and not rip. In other words, a tee shirt from Michaels will work well, but a onesie by Gerber will not. I tested this out on a tote bag, and the transfer looked very nice. I haven''t washed the bag yet, but once I do, I probably will turn the bag inside out so the transfer will not come off.

For those looking to put a smaller image on your clothes/bags/projects, the 4x6 paper is great. Recommended, but definitely look up the instructions before you start!

Buy Avery Light T-shirt Transfers for Inkjet Printers (4384) Now

I read the instructions three times because they didn''t make much sense. Do not reverse the image, no ironing board, no steam, remove the backing before applying??? I did as it said, got to the step where you are suppose to peel the backing off before ironing, yeah right! The sheets are thinner then regular inkjet paper and there is no backing to peel away. I shredded three sheets trying to remove the backing that is simply not there. You can scratch off the image which makes me wonder how you could iron this on face up unreversed without searing the image to the bottom of your iron not the shirt! I was not willing to possibly destroy my expensive iron because of bad instructions.

This is the stupidest product ever! The instructions don''t seem to be the correct ones for this product in any way shape or form. It is also strange that the package does not say anywhere that this is for dark fabrics yet the instructions say for dark fabrics and the sheets say on the back for light fabric, WHAT?, very confusing! I would not recommend this product based on what I received. The instructions included make it impossible to know how to use this product.

These work well for what they are. Like any other t-shirt transfer they need to be cut closely to the image to make them look decent. They wear well, we used them for a company event, but after about 15 washes they are starting to peel off a bit.

Want Avery Light T-shirt Transfers for Inkjet Printers (4384) Discount?

This photo transfer paper works great. I am not using it for T-shirts, but the wife wanted to start a memory quilt. I took several photos that I had archived and using this paper, printed them from my Canon printer. The iron on transfer to the cloth she is using went perfectly and she is extremely happy with the results. It looks as if I will be ordering quite a bit more of this so she can finish her quilt.

First off, the instructions for this product are virtually non-existent. I only got the dark fabric instruction sheet which was not all that helpful in helping me figure out what to do for lighter fabric. The "included" tissue for doing dark fabric transfers was NOT included. Also, on those instructions they tell you to remove the paper backing. The backing does not come off. I wasted a lot of time trying to remove the paper backing and only succeeded in tearing the transfer sheet to pieces.

I think it''s fairly simple to figure out what to do, but some instructions would have been really nice. I put the picture face down (do this on light fabric only, on the dark it did not show up at all) and put the iron directly on the backing, peeled the backing off, and there was my image. These are Christmas presents so I don''t know how well they are going to hold up, but they look pretty good right now. That part of the product, I am happy with. But it does look like the colors smear a bit during application, though not enough to keep it from looking good.

If your image isn''t going to take up the whole sheet, you need to cut it out because it leaves a stiff, shiny film behind. This doesn''t matter much on white fabric, but on colored fabric, the less of that the better. You also do need to flip whatever image or words you are going to use on the transfer.

The best part of this product is that the template for this was easily found for free on the Avery website.

HP Officejet 4315 All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier (Q8081A#ABA)

HP Officejet 4315 All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier
  • Robust and affordable all-in-one printer, fax, scanner, and copier
  • Crisp and clear 1,200 dpi black and white print quality; 4,800x1,200 dpi full-color print quality
  • Copies up to 20 pages per minute
  • Windows and Mac compatible
  • 1-year limited manufacturer''s warranty

I bought the 4315 about one month ago, primarily because it has a sheet-fed scanner. I have scanned 200+ pages and have not had one problem. The software is very easy to use. I set the software to scan documents as "searchable PDFs." Also, it is much faster to scan documents with the 4315 than my flatbed scanner.

I also printed a few brochures using the color printer, and the quality was great.

I would highly recommend the 4315.

****************************************

Here is a 2008 update to my 2006 review: Since then, I have been using the 4315 regularly and have not any problems. In fact, it has worked perfectly. I primarily have used it for scanning. Using the settings of black and white, PDF, and 300 dpi, I have scanned in hundreds of documents --which converted to more than 1 gigabyte of PDFs.

One of the great things about the 4315 is that it is a sheet-fed scanner, so I can put in several pieces of paper, and they automatically feed in one at a time.

The software is very easy to use. In preview mode, you can preview your scans and modify them via a variety of options including "resize," "sharpen," and "B/W threshold."

Also you can add additional pages to a scan. So for example, to convert a 60-page document to a pdf, you would place several pages in the autofeeder and scan them, and then select "Scan Additional Pages" and repeat this process--until you have scanned all 60 pages.

The quality of printing is quite good even for very small fonts such as subscript. I do not use it to fax because I simply scan in documents and then use XP''s fax utility or faxaway''s service.

First let me say I''ve owned many multifunction units over the years. I''ve paid 3 4 times the price of this unit and have not been as satisfied as I am with the 4315.

I mainly use this unit for copies and faxing. I make approx 200 flyers on it a week not to mention daily faxes. It has never let me down. The print is clear and crisp. I paid 89.00 for it and couldn''t ask for anything more for the money. There are many improvements over the 4215. It''s very easy to set up and use.

Love it!

If you''re looking for a machine that will let you fax, copy, print from your computer and scan, here is the machine for you! It''s small, takes up little space AND if you''re using it home for occasional use, you can fold up the top and bottom to take up even less room!

It''s very user friendly and I''d say it took me longer to open the box and unpack it than it did to set it up and get it running!

What''s very cools is that the machine aligns up the printing by itself. Put a paper through once, it prints on it then you put that SAME paper through again face down and it aligns up ALL by itself!

The only thing I''d give a warning for is to make sure you by a USB cable (not included) AND buy a black HP #21 and color HP #22 ink cartridge extra as even through they''re included they''re "test" cartridges and there is VERY little ink in them. And if you will be using it for photos you need to buy the Photo Ink HP (this is not included even in test ink).

Otherwise it''s a great user friendly machine!

Plus if you buy through AMazon (not a 3rd party seller) you pay less, no sales tax and free shipping! You can''t go wrong!

Want HP Officejet 4315 All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier (Q8081A#ABA) Discount?

I work in an investment firm .Everyone in the office received a new HP 4315, approx 3 months ago. Well we had canon units before and these blow them away. For ease of use and dependability these win hands down. I have never had a paper jam or a fax lost yet. They work as advertised and better, and we put them through the ropes.

A very well made multi task printer.

I have never owned a printer that I was overly impressed with until NOW! I got sick of paying hundreds of dollars for multifunction printers that were difficult to use and set up. So for this go around I decided to keep my budget under $100 dollars and I read many reviews and decided to take a chance on this printer. Boy am I glad I did. The set up on this was so easy. I was literally printing and faxing in minutes. I haven''t used the scan mode yet but I''m sure that is as easy to use. I have DSL and even with that complicating factor I was able to set up this printer/fax/scanner and believe me I''m very technology phobic. The printer speed and quality are great and its not an ink guzzler at all. I"m thrilled with this purchase. I''ve never written a review before but this product is too fantastic not to rave over!
