Avery Sticker Project Paper (03383) Save 13% off

Avery Sticker Project Paper, White, 8.5 x 11 Inches, Pack of 15
  • Perfect for school and craft projects, card making and decorations
  • Stickers are repositionable so that you can adjust placement as needed
  • Acid-free and lignin-free stickers are safe to use with photos
  • Great for photo stickers

After looking at the cost of commercial wall stickers, we bought this sticker paper and printed our own while re-doing my daughter''s room. The stickers adhere well, but are reposition-able, at least a couple of times. They were perfect for the job at a fraction of the price.

Essential for any oddball projects that may require stickers. Unfortunately this item is difficult to find in stores like Office Max, WalMart and Staples. I had to order it here on Amazon. A bit pricey for what you get but when you need to create your own stickers, there''s nothing better.

These stickers work great for making stickers in your own personalized shapes that you cannot get from the standard rectangular size. I make labels for jars of goodies I give to people on special occasions.

I really love these sticker sheets. What makes them great is that you can stick and remove with no problem. Previously, I was using shipping labels to print and place on items like glass and plastic. When you try to remove the printed label from the glass or plastic it was really hard and you would need some windex or alcohol to try and get the residue off. With these you can place them on practically anything and they will stick. If you need to remove them they are really easy to come off with no problem. No residue behind or anything. The last project we did was making custom labels for a wine bottle. Everything was printed and placed on the bottles. At the last minute we had to change to date on the labels. Luckily they were easy to take off. I can imagine the trouble I would have gone with shipping labels. Although the shipping labels are much cheaper and are like stickers, they are more permanent on whatever you place them. These special sticker papers are more thicker and are re positionable.

This is essentially a sheet of label paper. The entire 8.5 by 11" sheet is one giant sticker with the texture of Avery''s normal shipping labels. It takes ink extremely well, and my printed projects looked crisp and sharp.

For my first project, I used Word and added photos and text boxes to create a set of six individual labels. I cut them out myself and stuck them on and they looked great on my bottles of homemade liquor.

I might prefer it if there were an edge to this paper that made it easier to peel the sticker off the backing, at least around the sides. I found that I scruffled up the corner of my labels a tiny bit when trying to unstick them from the backing, but it did smooth out easily on my project.

If you want to make custom gift labels, photo stickers, or decorate kids'' binders and things, this would be enormous fun. You could also stick the paper onto those floppy sheets of magnet they sell at office stores to make your own gifts of photo magnets or magnets drawn by kids. I''ve been wishing to find something like this for years.

Samsung CLX-3185 Color Printer

Samsung CLX-3185 Color Printer with Scanner & Copier
  • CLX-3185 Color Laser Multifunction, 17 Ppm(black), 4 Ppm(color), Up To 2,400 X 6
  • Compact, Fast and Robust Color Laser Printer to fit in any environment
  • Versatile Functionalities with Print, Copy and Scanning Features
  • Hprint Screen button allows you to print quickly whatever is on your screen

This is a multifunction printer but be aware it only scans, copies, and prints. This model has no fax or wireless capability. That was a good trade-off for me. The printer is nicely built and has easy to access cartridges. The prices for the cartridges seems pretty good for the rated output so this seems like a good value for the occasional color print user. Unlike an inkjet printer the color laser doesn''t mind going a long time without use. Black and white text printing is outstanding. Color printing is good and is of consumer grade. To save energy, and this printer is 850 watts when warmed up, there are built-in energy saving features like auto stand-by after 15 minutes. I leave it off and turn it on when needed. There is a about a 45 second warm up period. B/W printing is fast after the first print, color is slower but meets my needs.

Color copying and scanning work well with good quality output. It is really nice to have color copying at a such an affordable price. I installed on an iMac running OSX 10.7 Lion. After installing the Samsung software the Mac''s Software Update found newer software. There is a built-in Utility app accessible through the Mac System Preferences>Fax and Print pref pane. Scanning works through Apple''s scanning software.

Its compact size makes it versatile for smaller spaces. This has been the printer I have been waiting for. The ability to print and copy in color, while also producing high quality B/W printing, and scanning too for less than $200 is a great addition to my home office.

Things I don''t like: The software for Macs in the Samsung online support page is poorly marked and has little documentation to help decipher the options. Since there is no wireless or fax you really just need to install the latest driver, then let Software Update do the rest. It is slow but all color laser printers are slow to get started. Power consumption is high so you can save by printing in batches and powering off when not using the computer. The paper tray is a little tricky to remove and load, and it does not hold a large amount of paper.

Things I like: Nice compact design, clearly marked buttons and a LCD status screen. Great features and output for the money. Easy to access and change cartridges. Absolutely quiet when not in use.

***warning-not wireless capable***

***warning-not network capable***

***warning-USB cable necessary but not included***

I just got this printer. It''s a great size for what it does, it looks nice, and the first print job came out beautifully. One annoyance is that there was no USB cable included. In order to use the printer, you will need a USB cable of the kind that printers use (with the squarish connector on one end). It does say on the box that the USB cable is not included, but that was not apparent when I was ordering on line. Also, I was surprised to find out the printer is not wireless or even network capable (Samsung makes similar models that are wireless capable--look for N, W, or FW tacked onto the model number). Because it''s not networkable, you cannot plug it into your router and use it as a network printer. In order to share it on a network, you have to either share it from the computer that you plug it into, or get a wireless router that acts as a USB printer server. However, sharing from the Mac computer that it''s plugged into seems to work fine, for both printing and scanning.

Samsung''s telephone tech support is excellent. Also, software installation on the Mac was as easy as you would hope for from Apple--just plug and play and use Apple''s Image Capture application to scan. No need to install the software on the CD.

Picked this up on black Friday for under $100 shipped. Wow! I never imagined the day where I could buy a color laser printer for that kind of price. It''s fairly compact. It''s quiet and prints very well. I''m replacing my inkjet all in one and much prefer this for daily use. I like not having to worry about inks drying out, streaking on certain papers, etc. Love that I don''t have to worry about buying new cartridges all the time. Black yields 1500 pages! That''s about 2.6 cents a page. Not bad! This is a great machine that I can definitely recommend. Scanner works well. Wished I could have gotten the step up model with document feeder but for 3 times the price I could not justify it. Even for twice what I paid it''s a bargain.

Want Samsung CLX-3185 Color Printer Discount?

I don''t know where you''d find a better color laser printer/scanner/copier for the price (got it on sale for 120). If the CLX-3185 has the features you need, I think you''ll be happy with it. Note that some people with early versions of the CLX-3185 had issues with paper jams. This has since been fixed with a firmware update. Some people don''t like to have to update a brand new electronic product, but that''s relatively common these days. Anyway, I don''t think you''ll be disappointed with this printer, especially if you get it at a good price. And no more ink to dry up and/or clog the print heads like inkjet printers. That, plus a sharp color laser which includes a scanner and copier in a relatively compact size made it a good deal for me.

I wish I would have never bought this printer. I have had nothing but problems. It worked for the first couple of days, then got a paper jam. There are no pieces of paper left in there, but it continues to jam in the back. I have taken it apart and cannot find cause as to why it keeps jamming. I am using good quality paper and not overfilling the paper tray. I am very disappointed with this printer, as I have never had a problem with Samsung products in the past.

I write and sell software to control TWAIN scanners, and many of my customers write document scanning applications, so this review is specifically from that point of view. After years of frustrating experience, we tell our customers to avoid all HP scanners because of their ''whimsical'' TWAIN drivers. I was excited that the N6010 might be a new day for HP in document scanning, and I know my market would love an ADF scanner at this price point.

Sigh no such luck. We experienced the same paper-feeding problems as other reviewers reported, feeding 2 and sometimes 3 or 4 pages together. This is *not* inevitable our Canon DR-2080C and Fujitsu fi-5110C almost never do this, the N6010 did it frequently. It was clear after a few hours of testing that we could not recommend this model to our customers.

Drilling down a level, the N6010''s TWAIN driver is better than many HP drivers we seen, but has at least one egregious bug and several minor ones. The driver cannot have been written or tested by anybody familiar with the TWAIN standard. I''m sure it works with the in-box software, and I assume they tested it with some popular scanning applications. But I wouldn''t assume it will work with any scanning application it hasn''t been specifically tested with.

If HP fixed the driver bugs (quite easy) and the feeding problems, this would be a standout product in its class.

While this scanner is quite fast at running documents through, I found that it could not come close to getting any of them properly aligned. I spent more time de-skewing scans than it would have taken to do it on a flatbed scanner. It is plenty good for having ''good enough'' images for record keeping, but useless if you are trying to keep higher quality digital records of paper documents.

This is not your use at home to scan the kids pictures scanner. This is a low cost mid-business to small business machine. I found it to scan about 50 documents very fast and clear. Easy to install and get started. From unbox to scanning about 25 min, that is with all the shipped software installed. Shipped with a high level OCR program the works great. Looking for a document scanner this is your scanner.

UPDATE

As of Dec 2009, drivers and software for this product are still abysmal, so I''ve changed my review to one star. All that''s needed is for HP, one of the largest companies on the world, to fix the drivers. But at this point, there''s plenty other products on the market, so don''t bother with this one.

As other reviews have noted, there are 2 fundamental problems with this scanner.

1-Eats paper. Yes it does, but as annoying as it can be, it''s not too frequent, and anybody who really thought they would be able to just stuff pages in, hit scan and then walk away have obviously never spent much time dealing with computers and peripherals.

2-Crappy software. The software''s actually quite good, when it decides to work. By my assumption, this is fixable, HP just need to update the software, something they haven''t done yet (still at version 1.0 as of this writing). Once they address that, I could see this being a 4-star rating, but until they do, this product just produces constant headaches here in the office.

Double feeds documents so there is no point in loading up 50 pages to scan. You have to sit and watch it to see if it makes any errors.

Ripped one of the pages it was scanning. The software is slow, it takes forever to open up a page. When it does the page is too small to read. You have to zoom to see the page clearly. This slows down your ability to work with the documents quickly. No software manual. Documents do not scan straight, they need to be deskewed but deskew does not work well.

Naming each document is a slow procedure. I returned it after one week.

Memorex Label Maker Starter Kit Save 47% off

Memorex Label Maker Starter Kit
  • Perfect way to get started on creating custom designs for discs, jewel cases, and DVD storage cases
  • Patented 3-in-1 label applicator with a lock down center piston
  • The software allows you to choose from over 1600 backgrounds, clip art, and symbols
  • Compatible with Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP
  • Software and 20 disc labels, 10 slim or 5 standard jewel case inserts

I bought the Memorex CD/DVD Label Maker Starter Kit about one and a half year ago. Since then I have created several hundred beautiful, personal and professional looking DVD''s and CD''s. The kit comes with software, 20 disc labels, and some jewel case labels, and the Memorex''s 3-in-1 label applicator. Since I have been printing hundreds of disc labels I had to buy more of these. However, they are available at any Office Max or Office Depot.

The Memorex exPressit software application is easy to use. It is just a two step wizard style dialog box, and on the last page you design, print and calibrate. Using the self explanatory controls on the last page I easily succeeded in creating some pretty nifty labels using my best photographs. Some people have apparently had problems with the calibration, but I was lucky and I got perfect labels on my first try.

When I print it comes off correctly and the slightly thicker label paper has never jammed my printer (a C6180 all-in-one). You can print one or two labels at a time. The labels come off easily and if you use the label applicator you are almost guaranteed to line up the label correctly on the DVD/CD. However, 90% of the time I do not use the label applicator, I just do it by hand, which is quicker. The label ends up in the middle of DVD/CD anyway. The greatest risk for problems is when you take the label off the paper. The label may curl up and get stuck on your fingers. Since I can only speak for myself, and not for those who had problems calibrating, I highly recommend this product for label printing.

I really don''t understand what''s up with all the negative reviews. This product did exactly what I wanted it to do and for a very cheap price (I paid $5.53 total)

If you plan to make game or movie backups these work just fine.

Here''s the process I would go through

1. install software

2. load software. it brings up a 3 step wizard that guides you through the process where you pick what type of label you''re making (has a preview picture on the side so you know exactly what you''re picking), then you choose a background (I used my own image files for this and they came out great), then click finish

3. the program will now open up with the background youve chosen on top of a template of the type of label youre making. You can easily move it around, enlarge it etc to get it just how you want. I was only making dvd disk labels and with those I recommend making your background a little bigger than the actual dvd disk so that if it doesnt print perfectly on center it wont have any white areas.

4. feed the label paper into printer

5. print

6. peel label

7. put label on disk or case cover or spine or whatever it is you were making a label for

I didnt even need to calibrate my printer and it came out just fine.

If anyone''s wondering I''m using a laser printer and am using windows 7

The software for this product is not user friendly. I spent some time "calibrating" my printer and the result was perfect...on regular printer paper. However, when you printed on their label paper, the result was way off from the template. I, finally, gave up trying to coordinate my printer with their paper and threw the whole thing out.

I purchased this kit because I wanted to put a label on a DVD I made. There was nothing in the accompanying online blurb which indicated that it would work only with Windows. So I, a confirmed Mac man, found that the mounting disk would open, but I could not make it work properly. The stock on which the disc blanks and spines were imprinted seemed very heavy, but the adhesive-backed portion worked OK using the round plastic mounting device in the kit. PhotoShop made me a form that matched the printed position of the labels and I filled it in with my own design. None of the designs provided on the disk of the kit met my needs, and in any event I am not sure that I could have transferred them to PhotoShop.

I have used one of these for years and lost it in a move so I needed a replacement. It is easy to use and the labels work great in my Deskjet. Ease of use makes this system the best of the three labeling systems I have used.

Kodak paper is primarily for HP printers. I have used this paper on a variety of printers including HP, Lexmark, Canon and Epson and the quality is substandard on all printers except the HP. Also tried on various models of each printer manufacturer with the same result.

Some printer companies design their printers, ink and paper to work together. When this continuity is compromised, the output quality is often substandard.

In short, HP=ok. Other=**danger**

The reality is different brand of printers likes certain brand of paper. The best result is to match the makers of the same printer and paper together. I used canon, epson, HP, and gneranic brand of paper. I find epson paper to be the most compatible photo paper overall, it prints well on Epson and Canon printers. Canon paper are good too and they print very well on their Canon printers. I used HP photo paper on Epson and Canon and the ink doesn''t dry/catch that well on either, it prints ok on its own HP.

This Kodak works fine on my old Epson printer, and I have bought quite a few pack. Now that I am exclusive Canon printers (i950) this Kodak Photo paper is as bad as most generic paper out there. At least it dry, but the picture is not sharp. Generic papers are the worst for photo inkjet, one office brand didn''t even dry and bubble. I am not buying this paper again, I actually have a batch of Picture Paper from the 2002, they might have gotten better, but I doubt it.

I use this paper for a number of the projects and I really love it. I get a good quality illustration print that is great for scrapbooking and card making. So I find it works just fine. I have had great results off of my canon printer. So, no complaints here. But I definitely wouldn''t use it for photography.

Epson CX7450 All-in-one Printer

Epson CX7450 All-in-one PrinterThis printer is awful. It was great at first until it guzzled ink like crazy. So what happens if you run out of one color? It refuses to print even in black and white because it uses a bit of each cartridge.

Ink replacement is pretty expensive, but I could deal with it. However, what really made me want to shoot myself, was when it kept reporting a paper jam even though there was no paper stuck anywhere in the machine.

Apparently, it''s a common thing with these printers. If the lever that detects jams gets damaged for some reason or flips out of place, you''re stuck with a useless machine.

With the older models you can usually pop it open and fix the lever using a manual, but the CX line is much more confusing. Even repair stores aren''t fully sure of how to get around it. Apparently Epson wants you to call in and get a crappy used replacement which will usually cost you money if your warranty is over.

The printer even wasted all my cyan ink while it was supposedly jammed. I have no idea how that''s even possible.

I''m pissed as hell and want to throw the printer at the genius that designed it. I''ve read around and this is a common design flaw. Save your money.

I need a printer quick. I found this at Target picked it up for about $40.00. It never printed straight, paper would jam and would have streaks. My daughter needed something quick for school. Dont bother...I am going back to the HP''s.

Buy Epson CX7450 All-in-one Printer Now

I''ve owned a lot of printers over the years including dot matrix printers (remember how much fun it was to feed the paper onto those and line them up just right?); but this Epson is by far the worst printer/all-in-one.

Won''t print in black and white if any of the color ink cartridges run out; cannot set it to print black and white only. In fact even when printing text documents with black ink only it uses some color ink. And the color ink is used quickly. Every time you replace one of the ink cartridges you have to charge so it takes a bleeds some ink out of the cartridges. And the fun part is that they all need replaced at different times, so they''re constantly charging and bleeding off ink.

My main frustration, however, was that I ordered several ink cartridges directly from Epson that the printer said were "incompatible" with my printer. Ummm, what???? So I had to call in and get replacements. They do not list a Customer Service number on their website . . . only Technical Support and Pre-Sales. They want to troubleshoot everything first even when they ship a bad product, which wastes time and money. They do replace the ink, but you have to wait for it to arrive which means no printer for days on end. I had three, count ''em, three separate instances of bad cartridges, and had to wait for the replacements. They are refusing to replace the printer or give me my money back because I purchased the unit at Target.

Yes, it does scan and make copies of letter sized docs, but I have a Canon at home that does the same but is much nicer and uses much less ink and prints my text docs even when the color ink is out. You get what you pay for I guess.

If you need a printer this is not the one to get. It''s ok for scanning but it''s the worst printer I''ve ever owned.

1. It doesn''t print well at all. It uses a lot of ink quickly. I was able to print 35 pages before I ran out of one color and it wont let you print anything. I replaced all the inks but it only printed another 35 pages before it ran out again. So all in all I was able to print 70 pages before I realized I need to get another printer.

This printer, 9 times out of 10, is a big expensive box sitting on your desk.

No matter what you do, no matter how you install the drivers, no matter how you scream, yell or threaten it, it won''t print.

It''ll make a noise like it''s about to print, but then it won''t.

It''ll print the header of your page and quit.

It guzzles ink, it''s impossible to troubleshoot, and it doesn''t grab paper properly.

You''re better off lighting it on fire to keep warm than to EVER try to use it for what it was intended for.

I have so many times tried to print something only to have spent an hour trying to coax the damn thing to print anything at all.

Please, stay away. Nobody needs this level of aggravation.

That being said, it could be cheaper, since you could just download the free software from Avery.com for card printing, and print on regular white paper. The colors won''t be as vivid (this paper does bring out the images beautifully), but really I don''t think your audience cares all that much, especially since the card is folded in a quarter-fold anyway so they can see it''s printed at home. • 50% to 150% copy reduction/enlargement, up to 99 multiple copies

As the title states, this isn''t a bad little fax for infrequent use, especially if you send faxes far more frequently than you receive them. The "test" cartridge doesn''t last long, and replacements quickly add up to the cost of the fax if you receive a lot of faxes or use this as a copy machine as well (20 bucks for the cartridge that lasts for 150 pages, so final cost per page of over $0.13).

The quality of the output is fine, even on marginal-quality paper. Lots of features (including automatic fax/telephone switching), 10 page document feeder (although I''ve used it for more than 10 pages), scans documents fairly quickly.

Other than the high cost-per-page and the fact that the cartridge is a PITA to change compared to most other models, the only other gripe that I have is that the machine gives a "poor line condition" error when it has trouble feeding the paper (rather than blaming itself for the inability to feed paper reliably).

It''s a cheap fax machine, and you get what you pay for.

Very cheap plastic paper-feeder tray snapped in easily enough for me, but it never snapped back out, nor would it feed the paper used for fax confirmation in easily. The other feeding system for the actual faxes seemed to work just fine at first, but then I noticed the paper frayed noticeably on one side if you resent it several times--not a good flaw if you want to resend one page, like a resume, to multiple employers. One last drawback is the included ink cartridge that is meant only as a "test cartridge" for up to 30 pages of use. Then, for around $20, you are supposed to buy a replacement ink cartridge that will last for another 150 pages of use. Well, the price was nice, but the product was not. I bought this at Office Depot and to their credit, they gave me a full refund without any re-stocking or re-packing fees, quite unlike CompUSA''s return policy. I feel sorry for the poor fellow who has to re-pack that thing, though. Good luck on getting that paper feeder back out.

This is a very good basic fax/copier. It will handle most jobs for a small home office and it''s easy to use. Just don''t send a large (50 page) fax to it or you will use all your ink in one shot.

In order to work out of my home, I needed a simple fax so I dont have to go to an office to pick up or send paperwork. I literally plugged it in & was receiving/sending faxes w/ minimal confusion. Anyone who is giving low scores for quality ...what the heck to you expect? Titanium parts? I would rather have the less expensive parts with a less expensive price. Its your choice as the consumer.

I am extremely pleased! If I have any problems in the future with this fax, I will be sure to post again.

This is my first FAX machine. I bought it just as a convenience (home use) item. I don''t get or receive that many faxes or make copies but running back & forth to the bank & library to FAX or copy something was always a chore. Then I came across this baby at Amazon.com for $59.95 w/free shipping & a $30.00 rebate and ONE YEAR WARRANTY: how could I go wrong? And I was NOT disappointed. It does just what I need without all the bells, whistles & hoopla some of the other machines do. It''s compact, nice looking, easy to set-up & use (even for me). Read the instruction manual FIRST as I did & everything will go smoothly. For $30.00 I may buy a couple for Christmas gifts (better than a toaster....). Some of the other reviews were negative in that the copies "were not the best", but I have no complaints. They''re readily readable & suitable for home use. As for me, I''m satisfied. Some say you only get what you pay for but in this case it is A REAL BARGAIN.......
