For many years I had been using the Avery 8879 Clean Edge Glossy Business Cards. For some reason Avery decided to discontinue that model and promote a number of models that did not work nearly as well (ragged edges). I suspect they were trying to move customers to the 8 cards/page products and away from the 10 cards/page 8879. I contacted Avery to complain about the quality of the new products and check on their 100% guarantee, but was given the runaround by them, asking for a bunch of personal information and promising to call me back at my home number. Way too much work for a simple return, so I went looking for alternatives.

There aren''t many good alternatives out there for a glossy true clean edge business card, so I was happy to find this one. The cost is a bit on the high side, but I gave it a try anyway. The glossy paper quality is quite good, although just a bit on the lightweight side. The cards separate nicely from the backing paper, but there''s a trick to doing that without bending the cards: place the sheet upside down on the desk and slowly peel the backing paper away from the cards, holding down the cards with one hand. That will fairly quickly separate the cards. Doing it the other way (peeling cards away from the sheet) will cause slightly bent cards, and is slower to boot. I print right to the edges on these cards with no problems, getting 25% more cards per sheet than I can with Avery''s inferior 8-up "print to the edge" glossy cards.
