Excellent product all around. The standard Black cartridge prints about 5,000 pages. You can easily keep printing with them even after the printer status alert says "toner Low" until you see the ink fading. You can get about another 500 pages after the low toner alert shows up.

When you receive a Toner Low message (or faded print), you should immediately order a new cartridge to have in stock. In addition, perform the following steps:

1 Remove the toner cartridge from the printer.

2 Firmly and carefully shake the toner cartridge from side to side and from front to back several times. This will redistribute the toner.

3 Reinsert the toner cartridge and continue printing.

4 If the Toner Low message remains, or if the print in that color continues to fade, replace the cartridge as soon as practically possible.
