Epson Stylus NX215 Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (C11CA47231)

Epson Stylus NX215 Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer
  • The Epson Stylus NX215 makes it simple to print stacks of borderless photos
  • Faster print speeds, without compromising quality - maximum print speeds of 32 ppm black
  • Superior image enhancement tools - restore color to old, faded photos; better than the competition
  • Save time - make multiple copies (1 ¿ 99) with one touch
  • Replace only the color you need - individual ink cartridges, available in different sizes

This printer does everything it states and for the low price I am extremely happy! The scanning software is greatly improved and is easy to use.

THe only negative is that the ink jet heads have to be "cleaned" every few weeks.

Recommend this printer, you''ll be satisfied.

The last time I bought an Epson printer, perhaps 10 years ago, I vowed to never buy one againthis as I was desperately trying to print out a text document for a class, but couldn''t do it because one of the color cartridges was empty; the inability to even get it to print using only the black cartridge, or "force" the printer to print if its computer says one of the four cartridges is empty since often the sensor says it''s empty before it is (I know Consumer Reports nailed them on not having as much usable ink in the cartridge as advertised), is just stupidI pitched it and bought another brand, and let both the store and Epson know why I was switching brands. Despite this, I decided to give them another shot and bought this model when I wanted the convenienc of an all-in-one unitbig mistake, should have stuck with HP! Though the features are very nice, and the price was great, twice now I''ve found myself stuck, unable to printthough now because after replacing the black cartridge, the printer says it can''t "recognize" one of the half-full color cartridges. The first time it made me replace (waste) all 3 color cartridges before I could again print, as one after another it didn''t "recognize" them; what good is having 4 separate cartridges if I have to replace all 4 at the same time? I had to actually fight with the computer to even let me replace the black cartridgeit showed it as low but not empty, but it''s so stupidly programmed that unless the computer says it needs to be replaced, it won''t park the cartridge carrier where they''re accessible. If it does let me replace just the one (I now have to waste an hour making a special trip out) I''ll be left with differing color ink levels and the inability to just hit "print" on a large document and walk away with any confidence that there won''t be a problem with one of the other cartridges. As an added bonusthe individual cartridges are narrow, difficult to grasp individually when in the carrier side by side, fit tightly (finger is sore from scraping plastic ridges trying to pull them out)anyone with normal-sized fingers and grasping issues would need someone to do it for them.

First off, this isn''t the greatest combo printer you''ll find, but it''s not designed to be. It''s a very functional combo scanner/copier/printer aimed at the entry level buyer. I found this at Target for $49 bucks and decided to give it a shot, especially considering my printer was just about of ink anyways. I also wanted a combo printer so I could throw away my 10 year old dinosaur scanner. This unit is a jack of all trades, master of none. It does everything well enough, but won''t blow you away at any one thing it does. Nice design, although a bit noisy and not exactly a speed demon at turning out what you are printing. Still, for under 50 bucks it''s a great buy. Nice little LCD window and a multi-card option for your memory card printing. $80-90 dollars...probably not what you should be buying in that price range. 50-60 bucks it''s a nice combo unit to pick up.

I just unpacked and set up this printer. Software and printer set up nicely and quickly on the computer. When I printed out a photo from my sd card the results were not impressive so after installing the software on my computer I printed the same photo. Printing from the computer was much faster and the coloring was brighter but I am still not impressed with the final results. I purchased this printer to replace a Lexmark all-in-one that simply wouldn''t work with my Vista. I also own a Pixma IP6700d printer and the photos are great. I will most likely be taking this printer back.

Having tried all printing options at my disposal on the printer, prints are faded with a slightly red color bias to lighter shades of all colors except greens, which are the most faded, having been neutralized by the troublesome red bias. The very first prints from our old RX 500, were absolutely magnificent--rich and true colors exactly matching the images from files and/or CD''s. My disappointment with this printer cannot really be described.

Alignment and cleaning directions have been applied without success for acceptable prints.

Prints are, however, crisp and sharply focused.

Printing texts, i.e., letters, documents, records, etc., are completely satisfactory. Faulty coloring is the only concern here.

For years I have made my own greeting cards with Epson(2) printers until age and heavy use indicated replacement. Recipents have marveled at their quality, some even thinking they were done commercially. If necessary, I can package this one and return it if so indicated. I will gladly apply any directions from an Epson tech. in an attempt to rectify the problem.

I have had this printer for only about 30 days.

Please advise.

Sincerely,

Ron Newton

Product came in the same packaging as the ones we had purchased through our normal channel and worked fine. We''re still using it, so I have not been able to monitor the actual yield, but I plan to order this item from Databazaar again.

FineArt Pearl 285 Inkjet Paper

FineArt Pearl 285 Inkjet Paper, 8.5 x 11 , 20 SheetsIf you are looking for that one paper that simulates the look of traditional black and white darkroom doubleweight bromide paper this is it. Just a gorgeous look to the print, be it black and white or color. I use it with the Epson R2400 and am excited every time a print is printed using this paper. A great beautiful paper with a rich not too glossy fibre like look to it. Only drawback is that you can not sign it with pencil on the front but can sign it with pencil on the back. Gel pens can sign on the front . I am going to try out the Zebra Sarasa pens which are Acid Free and have Archival qualities to see how they work when signing on the front. Try this paper you will be very pleased with its qualities.I tried the Zebra Sarasa pens on this paper and they work flawlessly. The ink dries instantly and does not smudge and the ink is Acid free and of Archival quality! Beautiful combination.

I must admit to begin that I did not completely read the fine print of the description. It did state that the printer came with NOTHING in the way of cables, instructions, drivers or toner. On the good side: the machine DOES work as a copier not connected to any computer. However, I have never been able to get it to work as a printer nor have I found any driver from HP available on the internet. Next time, I will read the fine print more carefully.

I don''t write reviews but for the first week of using this printer I hated it. Constantly had to clean the head and waste ink. Lo and Behold I sat down and read the manual for this printer. For years I have used printers that I simply turned off with a master computer switch. Epson is different. You must turn the printer off with it''s own power switch. Otherwise the heads do not charge properly. This took care of all the complaints I had with this printer. The C42UX is the best inexpensive printer I have ever used. Just remember, from day one that you use the printer, turn the thing off with it''s own power switch. All Epson Ink Jet printers sound loud and clunkey. Thats the way they are made. You find me a better printer for the money and I will buy it.

Look, this is a cheap printer and you get what you pay for. Personally, I''ve used it to print resumes, sheet music and papers for school. It''s been fine for all of the above. I''ve never tried to print a photo on it but I wouldn''t waste my time doing that anyway. Since you hopefully didn''t pay more than $40 for this thing, you shouldn''t expect photo quality. It has lasted me 2 years now, and it prints almost as well today as it did when I got it. It''s certainly nothing special, but based on all the "one star" reviews below, you would think this thing didn''t even work.

So yes, it''s slow, uses ink too quickly and doesn''t print in high resolution. But if you want to save money-and aren''t printing photos or running a home business-this thing will work fine.

I bought this printer with my laptop.

Big mistake. Yes, like everyone else has already said, it''s slow (12 ppm... sure I seriously doubt it. It takes 20-30 seconds to print a full page of text with this piece of junk), noisy and the ink is a serious problem. Not many stores carry the ink in the first place and in the second place, the ink runs out so fast you will find yourself constantly having to buy new ink. AND if you you run out of one type of ink you cannot print at all. At times when I''ve simply wanted to print in color, because I had no black ink everytime I started a print job this really obnoxious prompt would keep popping up asking me to visit the epson homepage to order ink. This is great for epson because you are forced to buy more ink but very bad for the user. It is a problem you too will become well familiar with if you waste a cent on this printer. You may think you''re getting a good deal but most of your money will go down the drain because of the ink cost. Another thing, the cartridges must be very leaky because the inside of the printer is stained with a nice thick film of black ink that stains all my your documents whenever I print. What''s more, I must costantly clean and align the printer head otherwise anything and everything I print out in will be riddled with lines of faded text.

All of this is not to say that epson creates bad printers. In fact all of my past epson printers were excellent.

It gets the job done. but the picture is not great.

This one came free with Powerbook purchase, guess thats the only way Epson get to sell their very expensive ink!!

Too many problems to list...

Just got rid of my other Epson (820) and got a Canon, same fate awaits this one.

If it were free I would refuse it, leave it on the shelf for someone else to dispose of.....

I purchased this printer to replaced my aging 694c. Installation of the 6122 went flawlessly under XP pro and has performed beautifully on everything from text documents to glossy photos. I have an older Photosmart printer and the prints from the 6122 look just as good. The printer comes with a two sided printing accessory (duplexer) which I absolutely love, Printing two sided documents is now a breeze and saves paper too. I also like the fact that this printer uses larger ink cartridges than the 5550 which was the other printer I was considering. If you buy this printer, you will not be disappointed.

I have been an avid Epson user up until now. I''m very noise sensitive because I work at night and don''t want to wake up the family while printing out documents. Epson is very loud so I decided to try this HP 6122. I''ve read that it prints very quietly, and I have to agree. HOWEVER, is everyone ignoring the fact that it makes a dreadful clunking noise BEFORE and AFTER it prints? It sounds as if it''s falling off the table!

One other thing after you press print, there is a (longer than I''m used to) delay before it actually prints. This can be annoying if you need to print a bunch of different documents in a hurry.

I do think the picture quality is right up there with the Epson Photo printers. If only HP would make their inks last as long as Epson! Overall, nice printer except for the clunking.

This is a quality piece of equipment. This is the mid-level HP on the market right now. I did a demo of this and the economy HP 3820, I liked this printer a bit better. This uses the larger, number 45, black ink cartridge that is generally about 2 dollars cheaper than the number 15 that the 3820 uses. The 45 has 42 ml of ink and the 15 only has 25 ml. They both use the number 78 tri-color cartridge. The nicest feature on this piece is the quick print speed; 20 ppm black and 12 ppm color.

The 6122 has the 4800x1200 resolution that puts it right up there with most photo printers. The only problem is that doesn''t use the longer-lasting photo ink. But, overall this is a good printer for a good price. It uses big ink tanks and they are reasonably priced. It is more solid than the 3820, but unfortunatly, my company went with the 3820 for price and size reasons. But, if you have the space, and the money, buy the 6122.

Our current office environment is a hodgepodge of desktop and network printers all of which need toner or inkjet cartridges replacements on a continual basis. Even over a short period of time this can add up to a tidy chunk of change, not to mention the storage space needed to store the disparate collection of dissimilar boxes and packages. Add to that the need to call a variable rainbow of manufactures and one could see that something needed to change. We needed a standard for desktop inkjet printing, which would combine outstanding output, low cost, easy maintenance, duplex printing, and a small footprint. Enter the HP Desktop 6122 business class printer.

According to a Hewlett Packard media releases, the HP Desktop 6122 inkjet printer offers the ability to print: "laser-quality black text plus professional color photos at up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi color printing on premium photo papers and 1200 x 1200-input dpi. With quick print speeds up to 20 pages per minute in black and up to 13 pages per minute (ppm) in color your high-volume printing will be incredibly efficient!"

The latest crop of HP desktop printers is now indistinguishable from their LaserJet counterparts in print quality when the proper weight paper is utilized; for inkjets that weight should start at 22lbs. Adding color to this functionality makes the HP Desktop 6122 a bargain at $180.00.

Features & Specifications:

One of the biggest selling points of the HP Desktop 6122 is the standard duplex module (the ability to print on both sides of the paper) which ships with the printer, and must be installed during the initial printer setup and configuration. This option is then selectable via the printer software. The duplex printing option has worked perfectly for our user base thus far.

Another feature business-class clients will find useful is the standard 150 sheet paper tray that is standard on the HP Desktop 6122, instead of the 100 sheet tray found on most Inkjet printers at this price point. In addition, an optional 250 sheet paper tray can be added to the printer, which attaches to the bottom of the unit. Also, a number of Ethernet based Jet Direct network cards can be attached to the printer including:

* HP Jetdirect 175x External USB Ethernet Print Server J6035A

* HP Jetdirect wp380 server J6061A

* HP Jetdirect 170x External Parallel Ethernet Print Server J3258BHP

* Wireless Print Server wp110 (802.11b) J6062A

For built-in Ethernet connectivity, HP offers the HP Desktop 6127. Standard connectivity is provided via IEEE 1284-Centronics parallel compatible, and version 2.0 Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports. It is worth noting that HP does not include either printer cables in the box with the printer. Specifications include:

Duty Cycle: 5,000 pages per month

The HP Desktop 6122 printer can be attached to a Mac or PC.

Installation:

Installation of hardware and software components for the HP Desktop 6122 is easy and straight forward, with a typical installation taking less then ten minutes. HP has provided an easy to read (large print) step-by-step installation sheet for both Mac and PC users. The most difficult portion of the installation is the duplex unit which ships unattached; however the procedure for installing it is clearly outlined on the installation sheet.

The HP Desktop 6122 ships with two print cartridges, one black, one tri-color. Installation of these is easy and is again well spelled out on the installation sheet. Unlike some previous models which called for the installation of the software driver before connecting the printer to the USB port, the HP Desktop 6122 installation instructions call for the reverse; i.e. the printer should connected to the USB port first, powered on, at which time the software and drivers can be installed.

First Impressions:

I like the printer. It has a small footprint, and while not the most attractive inkjet on the market it is thus far very reliable, which is a quality I have come to expect from HP products. The black print is outstanding even on standard 20lbs laser paper, though I advise all of my clients to purchase 22-24lbs inkjet paper for the best results. Color output is nothing short of spectacular, and again with dedicated 22-24 pound inkjet paper, or even glossy photo paper, the results will speak for themselves. The colors on the page are sharp, bright, vibrant and true to life, with no streaking or running evident. And while the HP Desktop 6122 may be on the noisy side, the decibels levels are certainly acceptable and not at all distracting.

Conclusions:

Price, fast draft printing (which by the way saves a considerable amount of ink), duplex printing, and options such as a second 250 sheet paper tray, as well as the ability to add an external Jet Direct Ethernet NIC, combine to make the HP Desktop 6122 a very attractive alternative to even the most basic laser printer.

I used an inexpensive HP PhotoSmart printer for 2 years. The print quality was good, but the feed mechanism drove me crazy with frequent paper misfeeds (using HP paper!!!). The support software also contantly gave warnings about a lost connection to the printer (actually to the built-in memory stick reader). There were so many buttons on the housing that I had to study them carefully with a flashlight whenever the printer needed service. It turns out that I had purchased the wrong printer for my needs. The Photosmart was a fancy toy for digital photo enthusiasts. What I needed was a small business-grade printer.

During that period, I built up an investiment in 45/78 cartridges. There is a local service here in North Seattle which refills the cartridges for about $15. They do a good job.

I finally decided to purchase a new printer. The HP 6122 offers three things that I really, really needed:

1. Reliability.

2. Simplicity.

3. Uses the same 45/78 cartridges.

The 6122 cost a lot more than the Photosmart, and it has fewer "cool features." The trick is that the 6122 has everything I actually need---and it works reliably.

As a bonus, the 6122 gives me double-sided printing. When I use this feature with draft quality printing and inexpensive paper, I have a very cost-effective printer. For resumes and important correspondence, I turn up the print quality, switch to single-sided printing and use paper with rag content. The result is equal to that of a laser printer.

There are only three buttons on the housing, and they are easy to see and understand. This printer is not a toy. It prints. That is all it does, and it does that very well.

The HP Preview is included. This is an awesome utility that saves me gallons of ink and tons of paper each year. HP should win a Nobel award or something for that little utility.

THe 6122 is ideal for professionals/small offices needing a simple printer that is very reliable---without spending a forturne. It is well-built, solid and compact.

I am very pleased with the HP 6122.

HP Aquarella 13 x 19 Inch Art Paper 25 Sheets (Q8730A)

HP Aquarella 13 x 19 Inch Art Paper 25 Sheets
  • Inject interest into your images with the soft-textured, matte finish
  • Get true-to-life skin tones with the paper's natural white color
  • Resist fading for more than 200 years when using HP 38 series pigment ink cartridges
  • Get gallery-quality reproductions and photos when using with the HP PhotoSmart Pro B9180 printer and 38 series pigment ink cartridges

In contrast to the HP glossy advanced photo paper, this "art" paper

literally drinks ink. IF you choose the correct "type" of image,

the results are excellent, and the photo truly looks like a

painting. The thickness of the paper makes it particularly well

suited for framing and matting. I have to admit, that finding

an image that looks "better" on this paper vs. the photo paper

is difficult... it is a personal preference and stylistic issue.

The paper is expensive, the amount of ink it absorbs also makes

a print expensive, but for the "right" photo, it is worth the price.

  • Print and copy speeds up to 19 ppm
  • First copy and print out in under 11 seconds
  • One digit LED display for easy operation
  • The Single Cartridge System provides for virtually maintenance free operation
  • Scan documents up to 8.5 x 11 (letter) sizes and auto convert to PDF''s Up to Letter

This Canon MF3010 Laser Printer is a good choice for students and casual home printing. Here are my observations:

Misc -

* Black and White Laser Printing

* Connects to PC/MAC via USB Cable (not included), no Ethernet or Wi-Fi support

Pros -

+ Easy Setup; installs very quickly and without any issues on my 64-bit Windows 7 laptop

+ Fast Printing; very little delay starting or between pages

+ Good Color Scanning; good image quality on scans

+ Small Footprint; fits nicely on my desk

Cons -

No USB Cable Included

No Document Feeder; can only scan one page at a time

No Duplex Printing; single side printing

The quick printing and scanner functionality makes this a good choice for my son to use for his school reports, but lack of networking prevents this from being utilized by the rest of my family. This is a good choice if you don''t require color printing or more advance features such as network support or duplexing.

Recommended, with the caveats above.

First I will say that this is a GREAT LOOKING little printer/scanner, I chose it because it is compact and nicely designed, and I thought an inexpensive laser printer would best fit my needs. My printer is mostly idle so inkjets dry out on me, and when I do need to print something it''s generally text. Color is a luxury I do not really need.

The print quality on text from this Canon is very, very good; much better than similar priced inkjets.

Setup was very easy, but if you use a Mac, you are on your own.

I will give Mac users a quick rundown on what they need to do:

Just follow the instructions until you get to "Installing the Drivers Software (for Windows)". Mac users are on their own from here on. There is an "e-manual" for windows that I did not bother trying to download.

You need to go to Canon''s website and download 2 drivers, one for the printer and one for the scanner. The downloads contain folders called "guide", but they contain the Windows guide.

Install the drivers first, then connect the printer cable (which you already have or remembered to buy), then open a document to print. On the print window you will need to add a printer, the Canon will show on the list if it''s plugged in, and choose the model number for ''print using''.

For scanning, if you want a printed copy, place the item on the scanner bed, press the right (green) button on the printer, use the up/down buttons to change number of copies, then the green button again.

To scan to the computer look in your Applications folder. If you installed the scanner driver there will be a new application called "Image Capture". Drag it to your dock if you like. If you click "show details" there are settings here to adjust scan type, file type, etc.

I would have rated this 5 stars if Canon had acknowledged Mac users, it is marketed as being compatible but after that they ignore us.

I don''t understand why some reviewers complain about it lacking functions that it does not claim to have, this is a very basic, very inexpensive, very cute laser printer/scanner. Or they complain about paper jams (what kind of paper did you use, what condition was it in, how much did you put in the tray....)

I paid $90 for this printer and am very very pleased with it. Prices on Amazon change daily so keep checking for the best deal.

Update 6/12: I have used the scanner quite a bit now and the quality and ease of use are excellent! Almost worth bumping my rating to 5 stars for the crisp color images I get from scans on this little b/w printer! And I have not yet experienced a jam.

With thanks to other reviewers, I now have updated Mac drivers, and speedy laser copy/print/scan with the Canon imageCLASS MF3010, the second laser printer in my home office.

After decades of buying (and hand-filling) inkjet cartridges, I bought my first laser printer during a Cyber Monday sale, a Brother Printer HL2270DW Wireless Monochrome Printer. Over the past year I have come to realize that B&W laser is much more suited to the way I print now that my children are grown and the Canon imageCLASS is faster and more efficient than the printer I bought.

The imageCLASS MF3010 does not have a document feeder or wireless networking; I''ve had a document feeder for at least 8 years, and have had wireless networking since I added the Canon PIXMA MX340 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer (4204B019) to my home office last year (full disclosure: also Amazon Vine). Networking seems like a household standard, since we no longer use any desktop computers.

The Canon imageCLASS MF3010 handled the routine printing I sent to it, the specialized Avery forms and labels I put through it, as well as the generic shipping labels with peel-off adhesive backing.

At this price point the printer provides exceptional value, allowing for every function a student, small business, or retiree might need no more trips to Staples or the copy shop. However, there are significant compromises that are simply a matter of the price point (not Canon''s outstanding quality, easy-to-install software, or simple device setup):

Traditional USB connection (cable not included in box)

Windows only install CD (download Mac/Linux from Canon site)

Platen copy and scan (no sheet feed)

Overall, a solid choice best for a desktop computer, more printing than copying.

Great printer, fast, fairly quiet, good looking pages. My only problem is that it sometimes doesn''t want to wake up after it goes to sleep. Most of the time it will wake up and print after a warmup period, but every once in a while, it won''t and I''ll have to have a program print again. Minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.

I just killed my Epson inkjet by buying non Epson cartridges so I decided to buy a new printer. I was surprised by the low cost of this one. It is black and white only, but we have a separate HP Envy on our home network and just wanted a local printer for our home office computer.

This thing is very fast. It really prints as quickly as a copy machine which is a real plus since I am used to inkjet speed. It doesn''t have a large footprint. The controls are a little confusing at first, but I think in the era of touchscreen printers, the simplicity of the printer controls actually make them confusing. Imagine a printer from 1990 and that is what the controls are like. If you want a fast black and white printer that has a small footprint and would work as an adequate photocopier, this is it.

HP 940XL 3 Color Combo (Officejet Ink cartridges)

HP 940XL 3 Color Combo Officejet Ink cartridges
  • Items may arrive in either bulk or retail packaging. All however will be sealed in the HP manufactures plastic with HP logo.
  • Get impressive color and professional-looking text
  • Preserve your memories with photos that resist fading for generations, compared with less than a year
  • Cartridge yield: approx. 1,400 pages (tested in HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One; average based on ISO/IEC 24711 or HP testing methodology and continuous printing; actual yield varies considerably based on content of printed pages, other factors
  • HP 940 inks are optimized for use with HP Advanced Photo Papers

Got the cartridges (Not in the combo package shown, but individually wrapped) which shows the ink to be HP 940. (No "XL" on any of the wrapping, but labeled with the part numbers C4907S, C4908S and C4909S)

It also came with a card that references that the C4907S, C4908S and C4909S are XL cartridges.

The XL cartridges that I purchased in the past typically have "XL" on the package and is labeled C4907AN, etc...

No idea is this is really an "XL" cartridge or whether I will even get 1400 pages with this ink. I would have preferred the vendors not misrepresent the item by listing it as a combo with the picture shown, when it is clearly not in that packaging. At least buyers would make an informed decision about whether to take a chance on these cartridges...

Order came promptly, and was a fair price, comparable to Best Buy. But I don''t have to drive to the store and take time from my work day. Buy the XL, as you will get at least 800 more copies/yield than from the regular cartridges

Don''t buy these from Midnight Merchant, they did not send XL cartridges, they sent the introductory version that comes with a new printer.

Can''t refill due to a computer chip. HP printers might be cheap but check out the price of their refill cartridges. Can''t refill them so you''ll spend as much for cartridges as you did for the printer. Dumped this one and bought an Epson Workhorse 845 which is far superior in all ways. Prints from the comuter, iphone, ipad and ipod!

They have a sticker on the packages saying the colors are brighter and they won''t crack. I tried those first and they are beautiful. I bought some more, but they didn''t have the sticker on them. Those must be what everyone here is reviewing. The old ones are indeed waxy with okay colors. I hope they don''t peel like everyone says. But those improved ones are wonderful brilliant colors and nice feel, not waxy at all. Trust me, there is a difference. I haven''t washed the new improved ones yet, but they do look like they are durable and will withstand the wash. Wish there was a way to tell if the package we are getting from Amazon is new or old. I think the stock number is the same.

UPDATE: It has been an entire year since I''ve done some thirty or so transfers using various brands. Those new and improved Avery transfers are the best. One year later, through repeated washings, the new and improved ones still look bright and beautiful. The others are old and faded. Look carefully on the package. If they are new and improved Avery, that''s the one you want.

I pre-washed my shirt. I tested my art by printing it out on a plain sheet of paper before using the iron-on sheet. The iron-on sheet came out looking great! I followed the instructions to transfer the image, and again, everything went perfect and looked great.

The trouble came when I washed the shirt. The transfer did not survive. It came out of a gentle wash cycle looking VERY crackled and even peeling off a bit. I was crushed. I wear my crackled shirt around the house, but it''s not fit for the public. The dark shirt transfers seem to have gotten much better reviews, but I''m scared to try them because of how horrible this one came out.

I am sick. I just bought the package of the Avery transfer with that encouraging sticker, affixed it as per package directions (ironing with firm pressure for a very long time, allowing to cool before peeling, etc. )to some prewashed cotton muslin, and spent four hours and lots of money sewing the transfered picture into a luxurious fabric frame with lots of expensive trims, making a gorgeous pillow to give as a prize at an annual party I host for the volunteers and staff of the museum where I work. As I was finishing the last touch, I noticed the thing was already cracking off the fabric. It is RUINED. Where can I find a transfer paper that works? This is a disaster . Obviously, I advise all to steer absolutely clear of this product. What a dud!

I have used this product many times. T-shirts and quilts. As long as you iron the product to cure the ink, you should be fine. And when you wash your finished product you may want to air dry your garment. I never did, some of my items have lasted four years. Others have faded over time. Again, air drying your garment may save the fading of the ink. Great, great, great product.

I have used this product a few times to make inexpensive "custom" shirts. They don''t last too well through the wash, but I wasn''t being particularly careful about washing it since it was more of a one time use for me.

HP 8500A Series 250-Sheet Paper TrayThe tray functions correctly. unfortunately the printer itself has some shortcomings in the software and if this is your default tray (with the top tray for envelopes), any wireless printing will print only to the top tray (envelopes).
