- The Epson Stylus NX215 makes it simple to print stacks of borderless photos
- Faster print speeds, without compromising quality - maximum print speeds of 32 ppm black
- Superior image enhancement tools - restore color to old, faded photos; better than the competition
- Save time - make multiple copies (1 ¿ 99) with one touch
- Replace only the color you need - individual ink cartridges, available in different sizes
THe only negative is that the ink jet heads have to be "cleaned" every few weeks.

The last time I bought an Epson printer, perhaps 10 years ago, I vowed to never buy one againthis as I was desperately trying to print out a text document for a class, but couldn''t do it because one of the color cartridges was empty; the inability to even get it to print using only the black cartridge, or "force" the printer to print if its computer says one of the four cartridges is empty since often the sensor says it''s empty before it is (I know Consumer Reports nailed them on not having as much usable ink in the cartridge as advertised), is just stupidI pitched it and bought another brand, and let both the store and Epson know why I was switching brands. Despite this, I decided to give them another shot and bought this model when I wanted the convenienc of an all-in-one unitbig mistake, should have stuck with HP! Though the features are very nice, and the price was great, twice now I''ve found myself stuck, unable to printthough now because after replacing the black cartridge, the printer says it can''t "recognize" one of the half-full color cartridges. The first time it made me replace (waste) all 3 color cartridges before I could again print, as one after another it didn''t "recognize" them; what good is having 4 separate cartridges if I have to replace all 4 at the same time? I had to actually fight with the computer to even let me replace the black cartridgeit showed it as low but not empty, but it''s so stupidly programmed that unless the computer says it needs to be replaced, it won''t park the cartridge carrier where they''re accessible. If it does let me replace just the one (I now have to waste an hour making a special trip out) I''ll be left with differing color ink levels and the inability to just hit "print" on a large document and walk away with any confidence that there won''t be a problem with one of the other cartridges. As an added bonusthe individual cartridges are narrow, difficult to grasp individually when in the carrier side by side, fit tightly (finger is sore from scraping plastic ridges trying to pull them out)anyone with normal-sized fingers and grasping issues would need someone to do it for them.Read Best Reviews of Epson Stylus NX215 Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (C11CA47231) Here
First off, this isn''t the greatest combo printer you''ll find, but it''s not designed to be. It''s a very functional combo scanner/copier/printer aimed at the entry level buyer. I found this at Target for $49 bucks and decided to give it a shot, especially considering my printer was just about of ink anyways. I also wanted a combo printer so I could throw away my 10 year old dinosaur scanner. This unit is a jack of all trades, master of none. It does everything well enough, but won''t blow you away at any one thing it does. Nice design, although a bit noisy and not exactly a speed demon at turning out what you are printing. Still, for under 50 bucks it''s a great buy. Nice little LCD window and a multi-card option for your memory card printing. $80-90 dollars...probably not what you should be buying in that price range. 50-60 bucks it''s a nice combo unit to pick up.Want Epson Stylus NX215 Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (C11CA47231) Discount?
I just unpacked and set up this printer. Software and printer set up nicely and quickly on the computer. When I printed out a photo from my sd card the results were not impressive so after installing the software on my computer I printed the same photo. Printing from the computer was much faster and the coloring was brighter but I am still not impressed with the final results. I purchased this printer to replace a Lexmark all-in-one that simply wouldn''t work with my Vista. I also own a Pixma IP6700d printer and the photos are great. I will most likely be taking this printer back.Having tried all printing options at my disposal on the printer, prints are faded with a slightly red color bias to lighter shades of all colors except greens, which are the most faded, having been neutralized by the troublesome red bias. The very first prints from our old RX 500, were absolutely magnificent--rich and true colors exactly matching the images from files and/or CD''s. My disappointment with this printer cannot really be described.Alignment and cleaning directions have been applied without success for acceptable prints.
Prints are, however, crisp and sharply focused.
Printing texts, i.e., letters, documents, records, etc., are completely satisfactory. Faulty coloring is the only concern here.
For years I have made my own greeting cards with Epson(2) printers until age and heavy use indicated replacement. Recipents have marveled at their quality, some even thinking they were done commercially. If necessary, I can package this one and return it if so indicated. I will gladly apply any directions from an Epson tech. in an attempt to rectify the problem.
I have had this printer for only about 30 days.
Please advise.
Sincerely,
Ron Newton
