Monitor Riser 2-Inch Adjustable Stackable 17x15x2-Inches - Black (VUR7255)

Monitor Riser 2-Inch Adjustable Stackable 17x15x2-Inches - BlackYou''d have a hard time beating these if all you want is a no-nonsense monitor riser. Sturdy and strong, with none of the wobbles you might find in an adjustable riser. They are stackable with themselves and with the 1" tall version, so it''s easy to raise your monitor to the perfect height.

Whoever invented this monitor stand had a good idea but I use it for a printer stand. It is sturdily built. I bought two and stacked one on the other -perfectly and firmly nest together. The two storage areas conveniently hold a over a ream of paper with room for about a hundred envelopes. There are also compartments for pens and pencils. Very satisfied.

This paper is amazing! I use nothing but high-quality products from Hahnemuhle, Ilford, Moab, etc. for my customers and projects. This paper was made by Hahnemuhle for HP. It can be used in most ANY pigment or dye-based printer; I use it in my Canon Pro9000 Mark II. The specs for this HP-branded paper are exactly the same as the Hahnemuhle Albrech Duerer paper. I was a little hesitant about using a "watercolor" paper, but my fears quickly subsided after the very first print, which was a color landscape shot of my daughters'' wedding with trees foreground and a lake background with the couple facing away. I have since printed many color and B&W 13X19 prints with amazing clarity and saturation...this is my "go to" paper for projects needing that xtra-special touch. Your friends, family, and customers will be amazed with your work, just remember to download and install the Albrech Duerer ICC color profile for your particular printer (it''s easy and free). This particular paper from HP is no longer being made, but you can still get Albrech Duerer (considerably higher in cost) so grab this product up if you see it....you won''t be sorry

My goal is to use HP products because I believe they are the quality product that I require. My only problem is that sometimes it is difficult to find products that can be shipped in a timely manner. In order to recieve this product as needed I had to cancel one order and place another from a different Amazon source. They met my needs in a very timely and professional manner.

Ok.. I have an Epson RX680 printer that I use for text, and to print on CD & DVD''s This ink manages to be accepted by the printer so I don''t

have to shell out TONS of $$ for genuine epson rip off cartridges. I don''t do photos because its still just cheaper to go to WalMart or tons

of other places to print pics. Pictures use WAY too much ink at home. BUT, if you want to save on ink, use this system. Get the refill bottles

and if you''re CAREFUL and use surgical gloves... you won''t get ink everyplace. It can be done. I just wish I could find a wi-fi version of

this thing that would do what this does. ah well..

I had a very positive experience with this Product and the Ink it came with. So: I decided to "Give back," and provide Feedback for the same.

I wanted to save money on Ink. I wanted to buy with confidence and affordability from a trusted Seller.

Hmmm what a Dilemma this can be, with warnings from the manufacturer to "Scam-mie," Sellers with false promises to include cheap and crappie products. Who do you trust?

The quality, of print-outs one can obtain, from the ink provided with these Cartridges, to Include Pictures, is well beyond my expectations. You get Beautiful color prints with no running ( Fast dry) and professional; clear colors with appropriate results.

The cartridges provide for an easy Install and work Flawlessly (With My Ep'' Art 50).

A Fantastic product at a Price your wallet wont miss.

Ordered theses refillable ink cartridges along with my new Epson Artisan 50 photo printer and the cartridges were shipped professionally and worked well right of the box. Was an easy install and came with instructions on how to use the refilling option (which I have yet to try out but I''m ordering extra refill bottles soon). The cartridges came fully filled and provided common quality photo prints as the name brand Epson cartridges. Excellent money saver also.

This product didn''t come from ColorInk. It was sold by a company from Florida called GENER INK. They sent the wrong cartridges, wouldn''t correct their mistake, wouldn''t refund my money and then offered me a discount against any future purchase I made with them as consolation for their mistake. I''ve been doing business with Amazon for more than a decade and never has this kind of a problem until now. They shouldn''t be allowed to sell on Amazon, period.. Don''t do business with them, you never know what you''ll get.

I bought this because I have a huge amount of ink for my CISS on my previous printer. Since that printer is no longer working, I bought an epson photo RX680.

This unit worked very nice. The ink is not as vibrant as the epson ink, but it is very very good none the less. Kind of like buying the best TV, or a lesser brand. Once you watch the lesser brand for a minute, you forget about the colors and notice everythign else is nice.

Same with this unit. It just works well.

I inserted the cartridges, turned on the unit and started printing. All features work. The Epson driver and printer both accepted the cartridges, and said they were full. I did not reset anything, I didn''t even fill up the cartridges. I have not tried the reset feature yet, but I am quite sure it will work, and the printer did not complain about non-epson cartridges. It just worked.

This is way nicer than my CISS unit because that had to have plastic hoses run to the outside of the unit. I had to constantly fiddle with them every time I turned it on. This unit? just works like factory. The minor inconvienence of manually adding ink is less hassle than the box of ink cartridges sitting beside the unit waiting to fall over and stain your floor, and the damage to the printer when the hoses would hang up and the printer would slip with grinding plastic gears. This unit does not have any of those issues, so I much approve this method. of course, I have not filled up the ink yet... but I "think" that won''t be that bad.

Avery To and From Mailing Labels (05280)

Avery To and From Mailing Labels, 3 x 4-Inch, Light Blue, Pack of 60
  • Mark your envelope or package clearly with both recipient address and return address
  • Permanent adhesive keeps the label securely in place
  • Light blue -Inch From-Inch field makes the label stand out
  • 3-Inch x 4-Inch size provides plenty of space for handwritten addresses

... however, company that sold them to me tried to charge me triple the postage because I ordered three of them. Their claim was that, that Amazon said they have charge that way. They tried to charge me $14.97 for $4.00 worth of labels. The items weighed 11 ounces and they spent under $4.00 for postage. After a lot of communication with amazon I was refunded $9.97.

Be careful with secondary sellers, on Amazon. When I received the email from Amazon confirming the purchase I noticed the postage charge and I immediately went to my account to cancel the order. The seller had already closed out that option by saying my order was being packaged and ready for shipment. This within 5 minutes of placing the order, and on a Sunday.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LABELS. THEY ARE GREAT 5*. BUT, THE SELLER GETS ONLY ONE* FOR THE WAY THEY TRIED TO SQUEEZE OUT MORE MONEY OUT OF ME ON THIS SALE.

  • 3 interchangeable face plates for personalizing
  • Easy view, 12-character LCD display
  • Handheld design with Typewriter style keyboard
  • Uses non-laminated M series tapes in 3/8-Inch and 1/2-Inch widths

I got this shipment within it''s estimated delivery date, and it is very easy to use and very convenient! I used this to label some of our bottles on the spice rack the letters are very clearly printed out (with the small font, you can actually print out two lines of text), and the entire process was very simple, I didn''t even need a manual to figure out how to do basic printing of labels (I don''t even remember if it has a small booklet for the manual). The label itself holds well.

The device is very compact, lightweight (like a kid''s toy), yet doesn''t look like it''s easy to break. It has a custom frame that you can change anytime you want, although I don''t really care about these colorful plates as much. Vendor should''ve included a refill label cartridge instead. :)

I recommend this product for those who just want a basic labeling tool with preprogrammed patterns for small art projects and such. This item doesn''t have too much to offer, but it works for a simple person with simple needs. I''m pretty pleased with it!

----Update 1/20/12 --------

I''ve owned this for about a year, and I actually just purchased an extra one for my office. So far, this label maker has done a fantastic job.

Update on battery life:

I''m actually on just my second set of batteries in the year I''ve had it, so overall, I am quite pleased. Per my original review, I use Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable NiMH batteries. After my first few weeks of label making, I would say I''ve been using it to print a few labels once every 2-3 weeks or so. Sometimes, it''s a little more frequent than that, but not often. The label maker STILL flashes the Low Battery! warning after every single label, but I always ignore it, press some button, and keep printing. Hasn''t failed me yet.

Quality of labels:

Still the same, typical label quality. Yes, there''s quite a bit of excess unused label that gets printed, but I suppose this is just a fact of label making. Not very efficient, and somewhat wasteful, but what can you do? I use the labels often for items in the refrigerator and freezer, and for this purpose, the print and the labels themselves have held up well, especially considering the cold temperatures. They''re easy to peel off when I''m finished, and leave no sticky residue.

Overall, it has been a reliable and useful purchase.

----Original review -------

I bought this labeler a few weeks ago. I wouldn''t exactly call it the most compact thing I''ve ever held, but it functions well and has plenty of label options. Instructions were easy to understand, and I was printing my first labels within 5 minutes of unboxing it, even without really going through the instructions. I won''t go into too much more detail on the functions, since they are pretty standard.

About the infamous battery warning:

Some previous reviews have commented about this machine (and other similar P-touch models) being a total battery black hole. Here''s my experience:

Just ignore the Low Battery! warning and keep on printing.

I''m not even using traditional alkalines --I have 4 AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries in there. (Sanyo Eneloop brand -check them out! They are fantastic.) So far, I have printed at least 3 dozen labels, on and off, over the past few weeks. This includes printing 10 or so labels at a time, without turning the machine off in between and leaving it on for a few minutes between actual printing. I have to admit that it flashed Low Battery! at me after the VERY FIRST label. I just pressed a button and kept on going. It hasn''t shut off on its own or refused to print a label yet. Long story short, do not be discouraged by the warning. I can''t comment on performance with alkalines since I haven''t tried them, but at least with NiMH, it''s fine. The first set of batteries for me is still going strong. If you''re truly worried about battery life, consider investing in some rechargeable batteries. Newer "precharged" NiMH type batteries are not the old rechargeables of 20-30 years ago, work well, and are ready to go even after sitting in a box, unused, for a year.

So, that''s the scoop so far on the battery situation. Hope that''s helpful for anyone looking to take the plunge on one of these.

Pros: inexpensive gadget, works great, clean lines, not too big, takes 4 AAA batteries, has cool styles like shadows and bold, has cute symbos

Cons: expensive labeling refills, writing is very small, uses too much extra tape at the ends. labels very hard to unpeel unless you have long talons (nails)

I am a very organized person so I got this at Staples for $15 at staples (on sale) and so far it works great. I have been labeling like a madwoman since I got it. I have labeled all my electronics chargers, my pet food/misc. items, my tv/dvd cords, my plastic drawers, and my electronics so far and I haven''t even had this labeler for a day! My biggest complaint is that the writing is a big small unless you supersize it. It was pretty easy to figure out, but I did have to skim the manual first. I wouldn''t use this one for my business, but it''s great around the house.

As I said in the header, I''ll keep this small and simple, just like the product itself. It''s VERY affordable, and the instructions are super easy to follow and learn, including pictures showing the right way the cartridges go in, etc... Once it''s on, there are further instruction in the VAST variations that can be done on this, and they are also simple to learn and use. The cartridges last awhile, and the replacement cartridges are cheap and come in a huge variety of selections and colors. There are all sorts of different designs and styles that can be done to change up the labels, and there are even cases and faceplates that you can buy to customize your labeler, should you feel inclined. Personally, I was a little overwhelmed when I started shopping for label makers. There were sooo many, and a lot of them were expensive. I took a chance on this one because of price and great customer reviews, and I do not regret it. I use it regularly, and I love mine. I don''t think you''ll be disappointed.

Thanks so much for your time folks.

Sincerely, R.A. McDowell

Printers are the new writing tool for humanity. As a result we all want good ones, some cheap and some not so cheap. As you are reading this you must be thinking why am i writing such an ambiant message. The lexmark x 75 printrio is not as good as everyone tells you. First of all it prints nowhere newar the highest speed the company tells you, even at the fastest settings. That is the main fault. Another fault is that the scanning takes forever. You''d rather buy a 10 dollar scanner, because thats what its worth. Also the copying is extremely slow, it usually takes about 2 minutes to compy a one page document. It looks good, but its so had to put in the paper, you would think with such a famous printer it would be easy but its not. Theres a special piece of plastic which you have to pull, and if i don''t my paper gets wrinkled. If you want a good printer for a good price don''t go for this one. And don''t listen to others messages, because they probably want'' to make money, because they work for the company. In conclusion i believe this is a bad buy, don''t believe everything you read, but believe me "Look at how low their stock is doing, then see if you wan''t to buy the lousy printer."

This is My second lexmark product.

As usual this thing prints NOWHERE near the speeds it says it can.

The scaning feature is also Slow not just to slow for the Office, Its just Plain SLOW.

Of course you gotta love the Lexmark ink cartridges, if you dont print anything for say a Month, then one day decide to print something you must go down to your local Walmart (or wherever) and buy a new Ink Cartridge.

Why you ask? because the ink drys up ALL the TIME. this is my second lexmark and my first one had the same Ink problem..

where as my Hp has never had that problem.

Save yourself a Headache pay a little more and buy a Hp,cannon or epson.

Lexmarks are JUNK.

The key words here are "for the price". If you look real hard, you can find this as a refurbished unit for a little more than half of a C note, with cartridges, which is what I did. This unit is great for low demand work, as a second (backup) printer or if you need a scanner / copier but don''t have one.

Ok, this is not going to break any speed records, But the quality of printouts is pretty good. If you are looking for perfection, go spend a lot more money for 3-in-1 on something else. But this does a more than adequate job. The software seems to work well with my Win98SE, don''t know how it would be with XP, but XP drivers are available. Don''t forget once you install this go to Lexmark''s website for the updated drivers & I think you''ll be pretty happy with this!

This 3 in 1 is the very best. It is so easy to use that this old lady didn''t have to be a computer whiz to get it up and running in a matter of minutes. In my first hour of using it I made copies, sent photos and text copies to many people. They have all responded that the copies were wonderful. I am so impressed I would recommend this product to anyone. This price was great too. I feel I really got my moneys worth.

I have a Canon MH series printing calculator and after I got to the end of the ribbon I just ignored the fact that I could barely read the print for about a year. Last summer I wanted to copy the print over to another document, and to do that it has to be fresh new black cartridge.

I lost my opperating instructions for the calculator and to make a long story short called Canon. They did not have the part but sent me to Nukote, who specialize in all sorts of ribbons. I ordered one of the c wind BR80 spools to test if it was the correct thing. I really wish I could have gotten it through Amazon Prime, because the shipping is too much on one little spool. Thats where a lot of these 3rd party companies make a profit.

It has been working well for about two weeks now. I will keep an eye on it to see how often it needs changing. We will all be broke just from ink cartridges and ribbons for all our calculators and printers.

HP Artist Matte Canvas (24 Inches x 20 Feet Roll) Save 26% off

HP Artist Matte Canvas
  • HP® Fine Art Printing Material.
  • Produces prints with bold, dynamic colors.

I bought this directly from HP when it was on sale (1 free if you buy 2). At first I was hesitant about buying 60 feet of canvas for a hundred and twenty bucks but if you are into fine art printing with 12 megapixel and up cameras, this will make a 20x24" print that looks like an oil painting using heavy pigment ink on my HP designjet 3200ps HP DesignJet Z3200ps 44" large-format printer color ink-jet Roll (44 in) 2400 dpi x 1200 dpi up to 2 min/page (color) USB, 10/100Base-TX

I didn''t know if I should waste 8" to do a color calibration so I did anyways and it turned out for the better. The yellow was under represented in the pigment inks and the color calibration on the canvas boosted the yellow output.

Because the canvas is primed it only required 3.4 ml of ink to print with vivid colors (HP vivera inks #70). I have not had a chance to try it yet on my DJ 130NR printer which uses dye based inks instead of the pigment, however a side by side comparison will need to be done.

Take note that this is a thick cloth with a white primer. It actually used less ink than a similar size photo paper and gave a much more vivid picture in 20 x 24". The next step is to buy a frame for it and tack it into the frame. You can make a frame yourself from 1x2 lumber and a air tack gun. Bevel the ends (the 20 and 24 sticks) to 45 degrees and square it all up. Use your same pneumatic tack gun to stretch the fabric in a lugnut pattern, pulling it tight in the process. You will want generous margins on all 4 sides to accomplish this. Finally you can put it under glass or just leave the fabric open as its lifespan is 200 years.

The roll of canvas arrived in the factory box/packaging which was fully in tact and not damaged in any visible way. The roll inside once opened and started to be fed into the plotter had two tears in the middle of the canvas sheet about 1" long each and about 2 feet into the roll. The only explanation I can come up with is that it was put into the box this way as the box appears to be in perfect shape, the plastic wrap on the roll was not damaged in any visible way. To lose 2+ feet off a 20 foot roll is quite a bit of lost material/money. That''s why I only gave it 4 stars. I''ve had glossy paper arrive with tape on the gloss surface which also damaged the first foot or so.

Other than that initial flaw, the canvas works perfectly for inkjet plotting of photos so far in an HP Z6100.

If Charles Barkley ever had to deal with this printer he would say it''s turrbull. Every time (and I do mean EVERY FREAKING TIME) I use this thing it wants to print the allignment page. It says there''s a paper jam about 90% of the times I try to print (of course there isn''t one) and I have to restart it multiple times to get it to work. It goes through ink like Mexican water goes through your stomach. The print quality is fair once it finally does print. I would say on a scale of 1-10 the print qulaity is about a 6 and the annoyance factor is roughly as high as America''s national debt. I''ve averaged that out and generously given it 2 stars.

Sirs;

Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX Inkjet Printer

Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX Inkjet Printer
  • Up to 2,880 x 720 dpi resolution
  • Uses 6-color quick-drying inks for smudge-free results
  • Prints directly from digital camera memory cards
  • Standard USB interface; PC and Mac compatible
  • Supports a wide variety of media including roll paper

The 785EPX was very easy to set up, I followed the simple "poster fold out" instructions. I hooked the 785EPX up as a second printer for printing photos using a USB cable (you will need to purchase one). Took less than 15min to set up. I have not used photo software in the past so the included software seemed just fine. I was able to easily manipulate pictures, create greeting cards, calenders, etc. The price of the 785EPX is very competitive! Okay last but not least the print quality is excellent! It is very difficult to tell the difference between the 785EPX prints and photo shop prints....these may be even better! A couple of side notes: I did a great deal of research before buying, the 2 most common "cons" were: 1) printer drinks lots of ink, and 2) printer is noisey. Don''t let this deter you.....printer cartridges for the 785EPX are very reasonable, and as far as noise....it''s an inkjet printer.....it should make some noise!

FYI I Ordered the printer from Amazon Sunday evening, received it Wednesday morning, great service thanks Amazon.

This is my second Epson printer. My last one, before purchasing the 785 EPX, was the Stylus 850. I had no problems with the print quality of that printer, but the printheads clogged on a regular basis. Just after the warranty expired, the printheads clogged for good, and the printer was rendered useless. I brought it in for repair at the computer store where I purchased it, and was told that the heads could not be unclogged. I decided to try once more myself, before throwing the 850 out, and low and behold, it worked perfectly! I used it for a few months afterwards, with no problems, then I moved, and put the printer into storage for several months. Of course, after not using the printer for a while, I experienced the same printhead clogging that I did in the past. I decided that it was time to buy a new printer. This burned me up. The thought of shelling out more money to replace a printer that went bad from NON USE! After extensive research, I chose the 785 EPX. I was amazed at how much ink it consumed, after only a couple of days of use. After I printed only 8 prints (8x10''s) the color cartridge was near empty. Epson puts a computer chip in their new cartridges, which makes them very costly (in my opinion). I did find after market cartridges for the EPX for (dollar amount) (...), but this is still way more than the (dollar amount) I paid for the 850 ink cartridges. One month after getting this printer, I went on vacation for 3 weeks. Now, the printheads in the EPX are clogged. I am livid! I performed 12 cleaning cycles with no luck. I do not like the fact that both the black and the color cartridges are cleaned together...no option to clean them separatly, using more ink than need be :( I called Epson, and the Tech person immediately offered to send me 2 free cartridges to help remedy the clogged printhead problem. I was happy about that, but still angry at the fact that I have to be a slave to this printer (all Epson printers?) for it to function. I don''t do a ton of printing, just occasionally. It''s my opinion, that this printer is not made for occasional use, however. I guess if you don''t mind starting the printer up every few days, to keep the ink flowing, all the power to you. Just hope that there is still ink left in the cartridge when you want to make a print, as just turning the printer on uses ink to prime the heads. What good is exceptional print quality, which this printer supposedly has, (I have not seen it yet) if you can''t get the printer to work? Good luck to all the Epson printer owners out there. I will look for another brand.

I recently purchased the Epson 785EPX following a positive review in "Outdoor Photography" magazine to replace my HP 952c. I''m a semi-professional photographer starting to do more work in digital, and like to use the ink jet copies as proofs to see how images will print. The quality of the images is very good. I haven''t had any problem with color matching, poor printing (vertical or horizontal lines) or jamming. If you really want photo quality you have to use photo paper. I mention this in case someone is just starting and is unsure about the difference. I''ve also done a fair amount of "regular" printing, and have been very happy. While photos print slowly (the HP was a bit faster, but the Epson''s quality is better), letters and pages from the web print very fast, and are quite clear and professional looking on regular ink jet paper.

The ability to make prints directly from the printer without using the computer is very cool. You can easily make an index print (thumbnails) of all the images on your card, or a selected folder. I did find these images to be a bit too small to be truly useful, but I''m sure there has to be a way to change the size (I hope!) It comes with a PCMCIA adapter for a Compact Flash card which plugs into the printer. If you use different media, Epson will trade you the CF card for what you need.

One minor problem with printing is that it uses ink at a much faster rate than my HP did. Plan on buying a replacement cartridge soon. Epson gives you the ability to order supplies through the printer software; clicking on the appropriate button takes you to Epson''s web site. A replacement cartidge from Epson is about ($$$).

The software that comes with the printer is excellent. There are, as always, some extra programs you may or may not find useful. The printer''s software controls are very clear, easy to access and provide many useful printing options, such as easily being able to change the type of paper being used (regular paper, matte photo, glossy photo, etc.)to maximize results.

I really have only one big complaint: This thing is noisy. All the ink jets I''ve ever used were whisper quiet. This is loud enough to interfere with conversation, and it makes noise for a while when first started, before printing and while printing.

In brief, if you''re willing to deal with the noise (I am, so far), this is an excellent machine for the price. Because it has features that I haven''t explored yet, I think that it has enough depth to please all but those who demand high end performance.

This is my third printer and my first Epson and I bought it based on the reviews on Amazon. My other two printers were HP''s and I still have my Deskjet 952C but I do considerable printing and I wanted the Epson for the increased flexibility the second printer brings. The Epson was very easy to set up but remember it only uses USB cable to connect to the PC. The printer is a little bulky compared to some of the newer printers on the market today so be sure and check your available space for the printer. Photo quality is very good and is better than the HP 952C with the colors deeper and prints photos with surprising speed. You can print from the PC or from a compact card from your digital camera. The printer comes with a PCMCIA adapter and Epson offers to exchange the adapter for a SmartMedia adapter or a Memory Stick adapter. Printing envelopes is a snap but you do have to take the paper out but I think it''s a minor inconvenience. You can print up to 52 borderless snapshots at a time on roll paper and the printer comes with a roll paper adapter. I''ve not had an opportunity to try out the roll paper yet but I think the concept of roll paper adds increased flexibility to the printer. Black and white document printing speed is acceptable and is about as fast as the HP 952C. The only downside to the printer is the noise the printer makes while loading paper and printing or, perhaps, I didn''t realize how quite the 952 is. At any rate, the noise was not such a problem that it caused me to deduct a star on the rating. I''ve not had the printer long enough to develop an opinion on ink usage. Inkjet cartridges for color and black ink are reasonably priced on the Epson website and are less expensive than HP products but I''m still unsure of overall ink usage. I''ve had no problems with the printer since sitting it up and feel it''s a very good all round printer and would recommend it for the home/office user.

I''ve been a happy Epson customer since 1997, and when it came time to look for a photo printer I really only wanted to look at the Epson line. I did research others, though, but I kept finding excuses to favor Epson over any other brand.

And I''m not disappointed. When matched with Epson papers (especially the Premium Glossy Photo Paper), the output is better than all but the most professionally produced studio prints. And I can do it myself.... easily.

The internal card reader is a nice feature if you want to print directly without waiting for the PC to boot up, but it also transfers the photos to the PC without the need to hook up your camera.

All in all, it''s worth every penny!

Comments:

The Canon Pixma MP270 Inkjet printer is one of the best in its class. The quality of prints are superb and the cost of both the package and the ink cartridges are exceptional. I use it daily for college assignments, work projects, pictures and photocopies. I was tempted to buy the lower version (MP250) locally, but after reading the reviews online at Amazon (for the MP250) I decided to place the order for this model and I haven''t had reason to regret this decision yet. It cost me a bit more, but in the end the purchase was well worth both the cost and wait.

pros: good printer, very good price (got mine at kmart in store for $36.00 new), installs easily, and did not need to align printer heads either, printed just fine upon start. prints blk/white very fast. comes with ink (color/black). only takes 2 cartridges 1 black, 1 color. (i find this to be good cuz it''s less costly in the long run to replace 2 cartridges instead of the usual 4 others take.)

cons: DID NOT COME W/ USB CABLE to connect it to pc. You will need this in order to finish installation. So before you cash out, pick up an a to b usb cable. Any universal one should work, so long as it fits a USB 1.1 port, cuz that''s what this pixma printer has, a usb 1.1. (i was looking for a universal, but store ran out, so i had to spend some $ on a belkin 2.0. More then what i need, but it''s compatible w/ the 1.1) Does not come w/ paper. Make sure you buy a ream. (It has 5 sheets of some very small glossy like stationery, maybe for photo''s, not sure. def very small though.)

First off, I''m a college student who uses this printer for school work, and few other things (resumes, coupons, few photos). This printer is a GREAT value; it prints awesome photos (and I highly recommend the Canon photo paper, a few sheets come included with the printer), it''s very RELIABLE, the scanner is good quality, and the ink is easy to find/buy. However, like most, this printer does eat up a lot of inksomething that is to be expected with an inkjet.

If you print a lot, I''d be the first to recommend looking into a laser printer, but if you don''t use your printer on a daily basis it''s really a great printer for the money.

For the price of this thing, it delivers what you would expect. My complaint is not with the quality of the prints, they are good for documents, although falls short of great for photographs. Although at this price point few would expect stellar photo prints.

But beware of Canon''s dishonesty. I bought my printer in Europe, and bought new ink through Amazon. The ink number matches the printer model, but still doesn''t work. Turns out that Canon has divided the world into regions (if this sounds like the movie industry, you know what the motivation is). My printer will not accept ink sold in the US, only ink sold in Europe. Obviously this allows Canon to sell ink at a much higher price in Europe and eliminate parallel imports. And yet, nowhere do they provide this information. Until after you buy the ink, discover it doesn''t work, and contact support. Great way to look after your customers Canon! Good thing there are HP, Epson, Samsung, Nikon, Xerox etc to cover ones future needs.
