I have been a Cannon Inkjet printer user for the last 10 years. For my light duty needs they performed fine until the last two purchases. The last two printers failed a couple of months after the warranty expired. That was the last straw with Cannon.

I have not looked into the line of HP DeskJet printers for more than a decade. I was very pleasantly surprised by the selection and prices. After reading as many reviews from every online source I could fine, it appeared that the recently discontinued HP DeskJet 3050 had good reviews and the new HP DeskJet 3050A model was starting to get good reviews also. After using my new printer for a while, I love it.

I was a little worried about setting up the wireless access part but the process could not have been any easier. In fact, the directions to set everything up was so short and simple, I thought HP forgot to include the full directions. But I followed the steps and Bingo; the printer was online and was working.

The printer has a small footprint, is quiet and it prints fast and with very good quality. The scanner works well but is a little slow scanning at higher DPI.

I do have one instillation note I wish to pass on...

My system is a HP notebook, Windows 7 64-bit, AMD processor, ATI discreet graphics, 4 GB RAM and it is wirelessly connected to my DSL modem. Even though the printer will start to work after you follow the steps to set it up, I had to restart my notebook after all of the drivers and software was installed to get full functionality. The restart step was not covered in the directions and not suggested during the installation of the software. However, since completing the installation, the printer has always connected to the network and has never dropped the connection.

Bought it at Walmart because I needed it today (sorry, Amazon). Setup on a MacBook Pro is brain-dead simple. Insert the CD, start the install and plug in the enclosed USB cable, all according to the instructions. Went through the setup routine, which included wireless. Disconnected the USB cable and voila, I''m printing wirelessly. Changed the IP configuration from DHCP to static to prevent later problems, simple using the web management app. Scans JPG or PDF, also through a web app. Text isn''t as black as I would like, but it''s a $50.00 printer (at Walmart...) and I can live with that. The perfect printer for any student. Print, scan or copy. Since it''s new, I have no experience with the ink cartridge life, which other reviewers have complained about. I was apprehensive on buying it based on what I read in other reviews, but I thought that HP makes tens of thousands of this printer and my experience has been that HP is alalogous with printers. I still use a HP 990C that I have had for years and have no complaints about it. While your experience may vary, I do not think you will go wrong with this printer.

I was looking for a reasonably priced printer that could also scan & copy but one that was NOT a L*xmark because I had given up on that brand. I''ve always been a fan of HP so I decided to give this one a shot.

Right out of the box, it looked great. Not too big/bulky but big enough to handle a standard sized sheet of paper for both printing and scanning.

The set up: Simple. I gave the box to my 13 year old and said "Ok, take this, install it on our network and make sure everyone in the house can print to it" It took him about 15 minutes to install the printer to our home network through our router and then fix it so seven of us with varying types of computers (Dell, HP, Toshiba, Acer, Asus) were connected and able to send and complete a print job from our various machines. In the past, we''ve not had a lot of luck getting wireless printers to work in our house so this was a huge bonus.

I was also able to download an app to my android phone and print documents from my phone wirelessly, which is a neat feature as well.

The lid works the same as any home copier/scanner so it was no problem to scan in a magazine, page from a book or a photo. The entire process was very simple which is a nice change from my previous experience with scanning. The images came out exactly as I had hope and look great online and I was able to save them in several different formats and it comes with a software that has basic editing features which is simple to use as well.

The cartridges are about the same price as competitors refills, maybe a little cheaper but seem to last longer (this is from my previous experience with an HP printer). I have been able to successfully refill my own ink cartridges at home with my previous HP printer, it''s a little tricky, but it can be done and I plan to give it a try with this one and will come back to edit this review to report if I was successful or not. I wish manufacturers would just make it simple and easy for customers to refill their own ink cartridges instead of the game they are playing now....they would find themselves with very loyal customers if they did.

All in all, I''d definitely recommend this printer if you''re looking for a good-priced, basic home printer/scanner/copier that is wireless and easy to connect and use that prints good quality documents and is fairly quiet and fast enough for home use.

The early version of this printer was not AirPrint enabled. To print from your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, IPod Touch) you needed an app like Print n Share. I suppose the "A" in 3050 means AirPrint because it makes all the difference.

With AirPrint you do not need to load something into iTunes. If your printer is on the same network, you just press the "print" button and out comes your document. We have put it in our office which lets two iPad using attorneys produced documents edited on iPads with ease.

As to the printer itself, it is called an "All In One" but it has no fax capability. Anyway that is not a major concern of mine since we use an Internet fax server, and if one wanted to fax, the flatbed scanner produces PDFs which can be used to send to the fax server.

For a low priced printer scanner copier there is a lot to like. It sets up easily. Print quality is excellent. It is quiet. AirPrint seals the deal however.

I''ve had a lot of printers over the years, and I''ll be honest-I was skeptical at first. The plastic seemed a little thin, the pop up display is super low quality, and I was prepared to be disappointed. I wasn''t. Clearly HP put their money in the printing and not the shell or the pop up screen.

Install was easy for me on my Windows 7 64 bit computer. To set up the wireless though, wasn''t what I''d expected and was different from previous HP''s-you have to plug the printer in to a PC with a USB cable to program the wireless settings. This worked fine, but if you are in a tablet-only household, this could be a problem.

Setup was easy.

Printing is quite high quality for a printer in this price range (see attached photo and text prints that I''ve scanned), and at that they were all done on low quality plain paper. The printer seems to be good at optimizing for plain paper.

It doesn''t have an SD card reader, but does have wireless, so if you have an entry level printer today, this is probably going to be the one feature that you''re looking for, and it works well.

The printer is fast, does a clean job on plain paper, and while it''s missing an SD card reader, the scanner also does work well, as does the copy feature in both color & B&W. It also has several pre-programmed print jobs in there including some games, graph paper, and other things that could be helpful depending on your household needs.

I can see this printer being a perfect printer for a household or college dorm that will be doing low volume printing, some light scanning & copying, or maybe some light photo printing. It''s definitely not a PhotoSmart printer, but overall, it could meet the needs of many users and at quite an affordable price.

I felt like I was taking a gamble buying this printer, considering that when I purchased it 3 days ago, I couldn''t find any customer reviews on it and even Amazon wasn''t listing the item yet. But given its competitively lower price than the Epson''s and HP''s comparable models, I decided to go with the Lexmark.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with it. I''ve printed about 30 photos with it using the High Yield Lexmark Color Cartridge (#35) and recommended Fujifilm Plus Photopaper, both available together as part of Lexmark''s P315 value pack. The printer interface is extremely user-friendly, and I''ve had lots of compliments on the photo quality. The average time to print from a Canon S50 with most photos set at a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels (Medium 1 setting) is roughly about 1 minute 40 seconds according to the printer''s timer when printing in photo quality mode, which is fine by me. The cropping tool is handy, though I wish it would give options to crop photos in smaller increments or the length/width of the cropping box could be manipulated. I''ve read that the Epson Picturemate tends to lop off the top of photos and people have learned to adjust for it; the Lexmark doesn''t have this problem and even allows for previewing of the picture before printing, which is a very nice feature. Another convenient tool is being able to scroll through your images on the printer screen and select which photos to print photos can either be printed individually or multiple images can be selected for printing all at once. The prints do come out dry with no fear of fingerprint smudges and also borderless, save for the one edge that is perforated and can be torn off. I also like its small footprint, light weight, and the carrying handle.

However, you do get what you pay for, and though I don''t have any experience with the HP or Epson 4x6 photo printers, after reading other Amazon customers'' feedback, I have a good sense of what these competitors offered in their models that Lexmark doesn''t have in the P315. As compared to the HP and/or Epson equivalents, major drawbacks of the P315 are as follows. The colors of photos are a bit bland; though the photos come out with fairly good quality, they lack that vivid punch. I''ve only used the High Yield color Cartridge #35 and have not yet tried the basic color cartridge #33. Even without the side by side comparison in the store of the Lexmark against the Epson using the same image, I could tell the colors were a bit washed out. This leads to my other observation that the default brightness setting for the P315 tends to be too bright; this can be adjusted on the printer''s setting, so I wouldn''t consider it a major flaw.

The second major drawback to the P315 is tied in with the design of this being exclusively a stand alone printer to correct any photos for red eye involves transferring images between the compact flash card to the pc, edit the red eye on the pc, and transfer back to the compact flash card so that the P315 can read it.

I am happy with my purchase and it has been a good bargain. Yes, the color is a bit lackluster, but if it is an important photo, I figure I''ll just take it to get professionally developed. Also, I was worried about being limited by the P315''s paper option sizes, but again, if I want a larger photo I''ll have to turn to the professional developers. But given that 4x6''s fulfill most of my printing needs, the P315 is a great convenience and fits nicely in my budget.

I purchased the P315 laboring under the assumption that Lexmark would come out swinging in this competitive market category of personal photo printers. I learned, sadly, that they are only competing based on price and not a combination of price and quality. I printed several test photos which were shot at 5 megapixels with a Kodak DX7630 and was very disappointed with the results. The P315 has trouble with skin tones and dark colors. My family''s photos rendered most everyone a reddish skin tone and our dark hair had absolutely no detail and looked, well, fuzzy. The photos were a little grainy and every area where the colors were not the primary shades but deeper greens, browns, blues were lacking detail in the extreme. I printed the exact same photos on the HP 375B with excellent results. The sales associates at Circuit City were so astonished, they asked if I could leave the two sets to demonstrate the differences in the two printers. The scroll through the SD card on the first go round is very slow and requires patience. After you scroll through all of them once, it does go faster. For those who are wondering, I did verify the settings of the printer was at the Photo level and not a lower quality. If you are only concerned about price and not the photo, this may be a choice to consider. Although, I still advise saving up for a better printer. You will probably be more satisfied in the long run.

I''ve had this printer for over a year now and I LOVE it. You can''t beat the price, and the quality of prints is great for my purposes. I use it to print lots of photos of my kids to put in calendars to give to family and friends, and the last print I made is as good as the first. If you want something more professional quality, I''m sure there are products out there with more bells and whistles. The only real drawback I''ve experienced is that it seems to go through ink like water, but I suspect that''s not unusual for this sort of product. I highly recommend this printer.

I bought this printer with the thought that it would be an easy way to print photos directly from my camara. I''ve owned the printer for about 1 year and now it won''t read either my 256 MB or 2G memory cards, also the PictBridge isn''t working with my camara either, it just freezes. Since you can''t connect this printer directly to your computer, I am out of options I guess. I have a very expensive paper weight.

When I was able to get it to work, the pictures were of disappointing quality. I even went back and bought the Lemark paper specifically, thinking maybe that was the issue.

So all and all I would not recommend this product. I would suggest finding a printer that prints directly from the camara as well as from the computer.

I saw a lot of Q&A sections online where someone said that these labels cannot be used with an inkjet printer. Well, this is the only label I could find to fit my purpose so I decided to order it anyway and give it a shot even though I had an inkjet printer. First of all, on the top of the paper it says "Jam and smudge free paper" which is certainly true!! Straight out of my HP Officejet 4500 Wireless printer, they were completely dry and didn''t smudge!

The only complaint that I had was that it didn''t line up well on the paper. The first 2 rows of labels were perfect but then the labels started veering off to the side so they weren''t centered. I was using the 5294 template in Print Shop 23.1... So it was designed specifically for this label. I make only infrequent use of my Canon Multipass printer, sometimes letting it stand idle for several weeks. For whatever reason, the black ink tanks clog the printhead after prolonged disuse whereas the color ones keep functioning. Although more likely to happen with a clone, the same has occurred with Canon originals. Before throwing out the printer (and I''ve come close), run it through the cleaning cycle at least 5 successive times and try printing again. If it''s still not working right, do another 5 cleaning cycles. So far, that''s done the trick for me, but if 10 times doesn''t produce the desired result, you''ll need to do some invasive surgery on the printhead itself.

As for using cartridges from clone manufacturers, my experience has been that they often require far more "priming" than the original manufacturer''s product. As a result, you''re wasting ink and saving less money than you may have thought.

Also, when ordering Canon ink supplies, beware the manufacturer''s confusing and inconsistent use of the terms "ink cartridge" and "ink tank." It''s led to my receiving the wrong item on more than one occasion.

I bought this printer from a wholesale dealer. I''ve been using it for 3 months now.

This is M551DN model. It supports duplex print (printing on both sides)

The box in which it came is huge. A grown adult can easily fit there and play jokes or scare people. Kids will love it. lol.

Any hoo, the printer is a little heavy. If you have a bad back or are not very strong I recommend you move it with the help of some one. Make sure you put this printer in a very sturdy table or desk.

Out of the box the printer has all of it''s toners (both black and color) pre-installed and ready to go. All you have to do is remove the security tapes and you''re done preparing the hardware. Installing paper is also very easy. Everything feels robust and looks like it will last very long.

When you first turn it on, the printer goes trough a series of tests and boot sequences. It takes a couple of minutes for this. Actually, the boot up is pretty slow even after. Takes about 1.5 minutes to boot each time. Shutting down is fast though.

Installing the software was not hard. It did not detect the printer at first try.

By default, the printer was not using DHCP and had a static IP.

After a couple of minutes of messing with the LCD menu I was able to find the option and change the network settings. Not big of a deal. I was quickly able to assign a relevant IP address to it. Some one with out any networking experience might fumble a bit with this. After changing the IP, i could ping the printer and the software finally detected the printer. The remaining installation of the software was very easy. A test page was printed successfully at first try.

After it''s first print I noticed a buzzing noise coming out of my PC speakers. After doing some investigating, the culprit was the printer itself. Whenever it''s in active mode, the printer makes a buzzing noise that you can hear if you get close to the printer. This noise is introduced to your electrical grid somehow and you can hear it very noticeably in your computer speakers. Two computers in different rooms experienced this issue. Maybe a voltage regulator might help. I have to try that out.

I then printed a color photo image about half a letter page in size with various colors. The printout was good but it did not wow me. I raised the resolution and it didn''t make much difference. The color accuracy was not spot on. But this may be due to paper quality, image quality, monitor calibration or simply user printer configuration. I have only printed about a dozen pages in color so take this info with a grain of salt.

As for the real heavy usage, after three months of black/white printing, we have not a had single page get stuck or damaged when printing. No paper jams at all. Everything has been perfect in that regard. No problems and no complaints can be made by me.

Only issue was an error appeared on screen. The printer was left on and the next day it had en error message. It made no sense and I couldn''t see what it meant on the manual. I just reseted the printer and all was good again.

The printer also has a web portal you can easily access by simply typing in the printer''s IP address. Here you can change the printer''s configuration in a very user friendly web page. It''s very easy to restrict color printing here.

This model also supports HP eprint which allows you to print emails or attachments directly through your cell phone. Just send an email to the printer''s email address (you can assign it through HP eprint sign up webpage) and the information is printed.

In general, this printer is great for high capacity black/color printing. It''s fast and reliable.

I''m pretty confident it will last us very long.

The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the on/off buzzing noise it makes and introduces this to the electrical grid. Also, the slow boot is a bit annoying.

I purchased the M551dn after a lot of comparison with the HP 451dn. In the end there was no comparison. Based on OEM toner prices the difference in price between these two printers is close to the difference in toner supplied (1500 p vs 6000 p cartridges) so that by the time you have printed 6000 pages the cost of the printers+toner is nearly equal. Further, based on OEM toner prices and 25,000 pages, the 551 is $1500 less expensive to operate than the 451 about $0.06 per page cheaper. As added pluses: the 551 has 1 GB of memory vs 256 Mb, 1200x1200 resolution vs 600x600, is significantly faster, holds more paper, etc., etc. It took less than 5 minutes to have it running on my three macs. Print quality is excellent, even if you are on the default 600x600 output, n.b. you have to change the default to get 1200x1200. Quality was significantly better than the HP CP3505 I was using previously. If you are looking for a high quality color laser printer with low operating costs per page, look no further. This is a great printer for the money.

I ordered this for my Vector Image making and printing class. I had no idea what the end result difference was between matte, luster, or glossy paper would be like so I went with matte assuming it would give me a sharper print out. Turns out its not as sharp of an image as I would like it to be, looks a little dull in colors if you ask me, should''ve figured since its the cheaper one. I would recommend using luster if you want that nice quality but not high on gloss as glossy paper might be.

Good paper for creating posters that I sell. Excellent color and takes lamination well.

My only problem is that Epson stopped using bubble wrap to ship their paper. Now they just place the paper boxes inside the shipping box with some poly bags on top. The boxes get bounced around and the corners get bent. Such a pain to try and flatten out these bends. If you do not, the bends hit the printer heads and smear the ink. Wish Epson would take more care in shipping their supplies.

I''ve had the HP L7680 for slightly over three months. I''ve been a pretty heavy user, having printed (according to the self-test page) almost 4000 pages during that time. Unlike some of the others mentioned here, my unit has been completely reliable.

Print Quality Printing is very sharp and closely approaches laser quality...it''s certainly above the threshold for business correspondence and presentations. The color output is solid, with almost no visible banding. I have not used it to print many photos, but those that I have have been also acceptable, given the constraints of a four color ink system. If photography printing is your primary usage, you should buy a printer with more ink colors.

Ink consumption Over the span of 4000 pages, I went through the initial set of ink cartridges and am now on the third black cartridge...the second cartridge was a standard capacity one, while the third is the XL version. It''s still 2/3 full. A second set of color cartridges were also the standard capacity versions. They''re still 3/4 full. When they go empty, they''ll also be replaced with the XL versions. Most of my printing is obviously black with a minor amount of spot color.

Faxing It works. Faxes seem to get there.

Copying The internal memory is inadequate to allow more than 5-6 pages of a document to be scanned and stored for collated printing. This flaw was obviously anticipated by the printer''s firmware designers...the page

that causes the memory to overflow is returned to the scanning input tray so it can be scanned in the next five page batch. Unfortunately this flaw requires manual intervention...you have to remove the five printed pages from the output tray, set them aside and then place them on top of the next batch out. This is an absolute pain...The leader of the copier design team should be required to make fifteen copies of Tolstoy''s War and Peace as atonement.

Scanning The HP software works, but is awkward. I have yet to discover where the defaults are set...and the preset ones aren''t optimal for my office. I''d like to be able to set it to scan an 8x11.5 letter size by default, rather than have the software guess the paper size based upon the image. It''s NEVER guessed correctly. And, after scanning something into Adobe Acrobat, I need to click on "cancel" three more times before the image is finally transferred...it''s like a Japanese monster movie...The Software That Wouldn''t Die. There''s other annoyances. The bottom line, though, is that it works. It''s just doesn''t work nicely.

So...the copying and scanning issues dropped this printer from a strong five stars down to three. It prints great and if there was a socket where I could add in more memory, the copying problem would go away. But there isn''t. And while the scanning stuff is just annoying, the copying problem is a real time-waster.

Update: Since I''ve had the printer for a year and a half, I thought I''d add in a quick update and note that it''s still going strong. I''ve gone through 500cc of black ink, 50-60cc of cyan and yellow, and 36cc of magenta. There has been some drift in the alignment, resulting in some slight banding while printing, but I suspect that that could be calibrated out. The only major problem has been wear in the automatic page feed mechanism in the document feeder, which causes misfeeds while faxing or copying. Cleaning the rollers and pads helped, but they should be replaced. The purchase of a high speed scanner (Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 Sheet-fed Scanner) has pretty much eliminated my use of the automatic document feeder, otherwise this problem would be a serious hassle.

Update 6/20/11 The price of ink cartridges for this printer has climbed to insane heights. While it used to be fairly economical to use, it''s now too expensive to keep. Although it bothers me to scrap something that''s still printing beautifully, out it goes...

We set up the printer carefully and it seemed fine at first. A few days later, we tried printing, and the pages came out stained with ink. Opening up the printer revealed large black ink puddles in the area underneath where the print heads move. There was obviously an internal ink leak.

I''ve used many HP printers in the past, both at home and at work, so I was optimistic that HP would be helpful and efficient in fixing the problem. Little did I know, the frustrations were only beginning.

The HP representative spoke minimal English and insisted on having me do all kinds of silly things to try to "fix the problem". Nothing he suggested could possibly have cleaned up the ink leak, but I humored him. For more than two hours. By now, the moderate ink leak had turned into a giant horrible mess, with black ink spilling over the desk under the printer. The printer was now reporting that the black ink cartridge was empty -i.e., the entire contents of the cartridge had leaked out.

To be clear, this was not a case of a bad support agent. The guy was obviously working from a series of scripts whose sole objective was to prevent them from fixing an obvoiusly defective product. From a "bean-counter" perspective, this probably saves HP a few dollars, but it''s an incredible waste of time for customers. And it resulted in ink spilling everywhere. (Shouldn''t HP know that, if a customer calls with an ink leak, you don''t tell them to do things that will cause more ink to leak out?)

Meanwhile, the agent was still refusing to fix the printer and was insisting that I needed to get a new ink cartridge. Of course, adding more ink would just have caused more ink to leak out. (Also, the ink leak was on the right side of the printer and the cartridges on the left, so this could not conceivably have fixed the problem.) He was steadfastly refusing to replace the printer.

Finally, I told the agent that I was going to post a description of what happened to Amazon, and he should tell this to his manager. A long time elapsed. Finally, he came back and said they would replace the printer after all.

Another hour elapsed of trying to get the agent to enter the credit card information correctly. (HP neededs "collateral" before they''ll honor their warranty obligations, and the combination of a balky credit card approval system and an agent with awful typing and English skills meant the process took forever.)

In summary:

-HP product quality is not what it used to be.

-HP support is the worst I''ve ever experienced ever.

-HP will refuse to honor its warranty obligations unless you threaten to post your experiences.

I''ve had this machine for about 5 days and so far so good. I had trouble installing it on one of my desktop computers and made the mistake of calling HP. Tech support answered right away, but the lady who was trying to help me didn''t understand english very well and I had touble understanding her because of a thick accent. She suggested making some changes to my startup file and if I had followed her instructions, I don''t think my computer would have re-booted.

Instead, I tried installing it on my laptop and it installed quite easily. I then installed it on another laptop and a different desktop and it is working fine on all machines. The printer is plugged into my router and I''ve had no trouble accessing it from the wired desktop, or wirelessly on the laptops through my wireless access point.

I am not a technical expert, but to me the print quality looks very good. The printer is very fast. I purposely handled one of the dried printouts with damp hands, and the ink did not smear.

I have not had a chance to set up the fax yet so I can''t comment on that. My only complaint is the amount of software that HP installs. I might uninstall it and then re-install it with the "customize" option. Right now Zone Alarm is constantly reporting attempts by the software to access the internet, even if I''m not doing anything with the printer. I don''t know why the price is showing up on Amazon at $414. I''ve seen this everywhere for $399; and Staples has a $50 off coupon too.

I used the fax wizard and set up the fax machine quickly, with no problems. The printer is faster than I expected. In draft mode, the quality is very good, and the L7680 is faster than my laser printer.

Scanning is problem free. I like the having the option of scanning directly to a portable USB device. I''m hoping it has a "preview mode" for scanning. I haven''t been able to find it yet.

Let me start by saying that I own an HP computer that I''m very happy with, and I have owned several HP printers in the past that have been reliable long term performers (the last being an Officejet G85). This printer is a piece of junk. With the first L7680 I had to jump through many hoops dealing with HP support (not very helpful and they wanted to charge me to get it to work out of the box!). Finally, I had to download an update to my BIOS so that I could turn on my HP computer with the L7680 turned on. Also, had an issue with color printing (didn''t print red) so the support told me to take out the cartridge and shake it. This worked temporarily. Fast forward a week and only blue prints for a while, and then nothing worked colorwise and they told me I needed new printheads. I took it back to the store and got another L7680. This one wouldn''t load paper to print without jamming.

Went back and got an older and cheaper model (that they are phasing out) Officejet 7310 (it feels more substantial and well put together than the newer model) and am so far happy with it (my fingers are crossed). This new Vivera print ink system (3 separate color cartridges) is getting a lot of hype, but if my experience is representative, they need to go back to the old more reliable single Tricolor cartridge setup. Save yourself stress and money and don''t buy this printer until they get their design and/or manufacturing issues sorted out.

I just purchased this printer as a replacement for a 5 year old HP ink jet that died. I use this printer in my home networked between a half a dozen computers, including a Mac notebook, a vista desktop, and a couple XP machines. Installation was a breeze in all operating systems although full Vista software support is still pending.

I originally intended to buy a laser because of the lower cost per print, and the generally higher black print quality. However after reading about these new HP ink jet printers I opted for this one. It''s as cheap per print or cheaper than laser, generally has better color printing than laser (as do most ink jets) and has acceptable black text printing (If I was printing professional documents for a business it would not do nor would any ink jet but for my home is fine)and it is as fast or faster than a laster to boot. This thing really cranks out the pages.

It is easy to set up as previously mentioned, prints dramatically faster than my previous HP ink jet, and supposedly should be cheaper to run than the older generation ink jets. So don''t write of ink jet printers just yet, for the home I could not find a comparable all-in-one laser color printer for anything near this price, and they were noisy and unreliable and generally the size of a small car.

In my opinion, office or all black text printing=laser.

Home all-in-ones=these new ink jets.

I give it 4 stars because of the lack of a fully featured Vista driver (come on HP, how long has the vista beta been in your hands, and fully released for 2 months now, and you are still shipping product without a full vista driver???? Someone should get FIRED for this gross incompetence!) Otherwise very happy.

I just started school, on Jan 7, 2013. I ordered this ink on Dec 11, and it was delivered right before Christmas, of which I left Virginia headed toward Texas (by car 26 hour drive/we did stop overnight to sleep) and returned home on December 30, 2012.
