Update 3/6/13: Had a problem where my printer would no longer print black. Sent an e-mail to their technical support and got a quick reply and call. Was told that the manufacture change the design slightly and you now need to keep the cartridges more than half full or you can run into this problem. So don''t let your cartridges run low.
Their sending me out a kit to fix the problem, free of charge. Still very happy with this product and their support has been great.

I got tired of paying for expensive ink cartridges, so I started buying the refilled ones. The issue with the refilled ones is that you never know when you''re going to run out of ink. The advantage of the InkOwl is that you can literally "see" the amount of ink remaining so you never have to worry about running out.The pro''s: Once installed, there is absolutely no difference between the printing as that of the "normal" HP cartridges. As I mentioned, you can see how much ink is left so you won''t run out. Also, even though the initial outlay is over $100, in the long run, this is a money saving move.
The con''s: The instructions are not that great, which caused me a little bit of a mess to get started. You have to mess with the chips that are provided in order to align them properly so that the printer will recognize them. Don''t get ink on any of the filters that are provided because they don''t provide any extra, and even though they only cost 5 cents a piece to order more, shipping is $3.95 for a nickel component that weighs less than 1 ounce!!! It was a little difficult to install these to begin with, but nothing a little patience can''t overcome.
Overall, after getting them installed and working, I''ve been very happy with them. I''ve even printed several photos and the quality is great. I would recommend using InkOwl to replace your usual cartridges, just plan on spending a little time getting them installed.
