I''ve had the 5670EN for about 4 months now and bought it to support my wife''s wedding invitation business. She typically prints 100-600 sheets per month on a variety of paper thicknesses up to 80lb cover stock. The ink jets were just killing us on cost, going through several hundred dollars a month in ink. But the Canon MX420 handled thick paper with no issues and had good quality prints. So I ordered the Konica Minolta to help save some money on printing. It arrived and was very big and heavy which was expected. I assembled everything and used the side loader to try a thicker stock. The fuser will not produce enough heat to work on thick stock such as 80lb cover (216gsm). In fact, it won''t even print well on the stated max thickness (210gsm I think), my guess is because it is not as smooth. So the manual feeder is basically worthless to us.

The reason I still am giving this printer 4 stars is it work very well and is very inexpensive for regular thickness paper. I have it on my network and all computers in the house can print to it. It cranks out 100 prints in minutes with no fading, striping or page to page variance. So we now use this printer exclusively for some types of prints on regular thickness paper, but I bought another excellent inkjet that is very cheap to operate and can do any thickness practically up to plywood. We have to do some color matching in Photoshop if a client''s job uses both printers, but it''s worth the time for the money it saves.

One other note is the replacement toner is about $570 for CMYK. This comes with starter toners which haven''t even shown their levels budge yet after a thousand prints or so. That''s the reason I didn''t return the printer when I figured out it wouldn''t do the thick paper. The starter toner is worth about what the printer sells for less return shipping.

original of 5 stars. updated to 2. ----I run a custom printing business and it took me a while to get used to this. This has so many options it took a lot of trial and error to get all of my colors just right. It also printed too bright (looked washed out), luckily you can even adjust the brightness and contrast by 15% each, so I set bright to -15%.

This prints true to color and the best color I''ve seen from a printer.

~update, starter toner lasted 3500 pages, found the sheet that said it was estimated at 6k, so seeing as i use 30% coverage (according to stats page) that''s pretty good.

update 10-29-12: this printer isn''t worth it. one problem after another. tech support is pretty good, but don''t follow up on problems. so when the problem persists you have to wait on hold again, or if the tech person never shows up after a week you have to call again.

my first major problem was 1.5 months after having it, it started jamming. they sent a new fuser, and tech installed it. still got random jams. tech guy came out and he said it was curling the paper the wrong way, causing the jam. but to flip the paper so the natural curl of it was the other way. it doesn''t matter which way the paper is i still get random jams.

ad that to the fact the new image drums (need to be replaced after 15-30k pages depending on use) cost 2x as much as the new printer. who would do that when you can buy a new printer? i''m sticking to xerox and so far my oki printer is ok

Great output, the toner is a bit expensive, but I have been using the Konica type instead of the cheaper "compatible" type. Very fast printing and pretty much perfect color output. The toner and processing units are extremely easy to replace and I haven''t had any issues. The waste container seems to get full pretty fast, but they can be emptied out and a new one is pretty cheap (I rotate between three of them). So if you want some professional looking printouts, this is a good printer, I have had it for about 7 months and we have several people that use it all day long and it still seems to be a pretty solid printer.
