BUT, it couldn''t print photos! Every single one came out DARK and dingy. Looking online, this seems to be a common complaint with HP printers.
I took it back and debated whether to give it another try. Since Costco has a great return policy, I decided to risk buying a second of the same model. Why? Because I know a couple of years ago tests of photos printed with different inks showed that only HP inks were archival quality--in other words, photos printed on an HP printer should still look good 100 years from now. I don''t know if that is still true or not (since then, companies have started to compete on ink prices and that may have adversely affected quality.) If it is still true, it is a big selling point for me, along with all the things that made me like the first printer.
The second one works fine. The pictures look bright and nice. So, if you''re thinking of buying one, make sure it''s from a place where it is easy to return it.
Buy HP Photosmart 7525 e-All-in-One Inkjet Printer Now
I purchased this product from costco, it was $190 but I had a 51.00 coupon, so it cost $139.00. You have to pay the Taxes and an Eviro fee($8) on top of this.-I have had this printer for about two weeks and it has been great.
-I found this to install very easly. Just take your time when installing.
-I also found that printing pictures so far, are excellent compare to my last HP 4680.
-Printing documents is very good, my old HP 4680 would skip some information when printing.
-Eprint was easy.
-I find that this printer 7525, is no more noise than any other printer, do get me wrong the noise level is low.
-I did not set up the fax as I do not need it at this time.
-I love the touch display screen, its great.
-I like all the other options you can do just from the displays screens.
-The instructions that come with this 7525 printer, it''s states 7520, the instruction are the same so ignore the 7520 title, instuctions were good.
Thank You
No Complaints.

I also purchased this item from Costco for slightly over $100 with a coupon. It was very easy to install, including the network and e-print features. As a Grad student, I have to do A LOT of scanning so the feeder was a huge selling feature for me. I have scanned large stacks of documents without any issues (double sided, too!).Some of the negative reviews state the install drivers come with a lot of junk. Yes, it''s true. But when has an HP printer NOT come with all that stuff. I wasn''t surprised since it is a form of "marketing" that all printer companies use. If you don''t want the extra stuff on your computer DELETE it!
Added feature that I actually enjoy is the "apps" you can have on the printer. Ok, maybe I don''t need to have paper airplane templates at my finger tips but It sure is nice when you are trying to entertain siblings or are bored after writing twenty pages... ;-)
I gave a 4 star rating because, as other have mentioned, it is a pain to have to delete all the extra stuff. Also, it''s a little bit loud. But it may be that I have it on top of a metal filing cabinet and it "enhances" the sound!
Want HP Photosmart 7525 e-All-in-One Inkjet Printer Discount?
First off, I purchased this printer elsewhere so my review is on the printer alone and not the sellers listed here. The printer is well worth the money spent.
I have a Mac with AirPort Extreme Base Station. I plugged in the printer to the power source (only thing plugged in, I have hooked up no other cables do not plan on using fax feature at this time).
Followed the quick guide (remove tape, plug in, install ink...) from there I followed the on-screen set up guide (install paper, install photo paper, set up account for emailing documents). Downloaded drivers via online instead of disc sent. Wala....easy peasy lemon squeezy. From there I have been playing with all the features.
Love how the paper and photo paper have their own trays that are inclosed to keep dust out. Great to be able to scan documents and email them. Nice double-sided printing. Finally able to print pictures and documents from my iPhone. Great that I can print a document from work through and email attachment.
Best printer I have owned in a long while.
Read other reviews against this printer. One mentioned loss of wireless connection, I have not had that problem. Check your router might be time to upgrade. Again, I only have power source plugged into printer. Ink cartridges supplied with printer....I for one expected it to be starter cartridges. I have printed a lot of pictures so far and double sided documents (not hundreds mind you) but my ink usage is minimal. Great onscreen feature you can press the inkdrop and it will print out a usage page showing levels. Don''t forget ink from inkjet cartridges evaporate over time (hate that about all brands of inkjet printers).
So far I have not found a negative to this printer. Will update my review if I do.(this printer is sold heavily at Costco warehouses)
1: Includes HP''s massive driver disk that installs a huge amount of unnecessary crap.
2: That driver disk, as a last step, checked online and determined it was out of date and downloaded ANOTHER 250 meg of drivers from HP
3: The wifi built-in randomly loses its connection for no known reason. I''ve returned this printer twice for replacement because I assumed I just got a defective one. Nope, they''re all crap. When it loses connectivity, you get a popup on your pc. The only workaround is to power the printer off & on and cross your fingers.
4: You MUST put the ink cartridges shipped with it into the printer or the drivers will NOT install. And these "setup" cartridges don''t have a full life of ink in them.
Online support is useless: "go through the wifi setup process again", "turn it off and on". They do make a point of actively soliciting you to provide positive feedback on their service though.
If HP would spend 1/4 the time they did on the b.s. control panel displays for downloading coupons and coloring books on making the networking reliable the world would be a better place and they would be a better company.
