What can you say about labels? Well, to begin with, I have an ink jet printer, and these were laser labels. oops. I tried them anyway. They were actually better than the ink jet labels because they didn''t smear. I could run my thumb across them right after they exited the printer and not worry about it. And, well, they were sticky. I think that''s pretty much all to be said for them. Good labels from a reliable company.

These labels are compatible with Avery 5160, so when formatting a document in Word, WP or Works, the Avery template can be used. You can also download 3M''s own template via their website. I used the Avery template, and the labels prined out slightly off center. They were placed center in my printer, and looked fine onscreen, but there seems to be more left margin space, so a few characters on the right were cut off.

There are perforations on either side of the center labels which make the sheet of labels more flexible, and therefore easier to remove. These labels appear to be slightly more opaque than the shipping labels I also reviewed, but if you are applying these labels to something other than white envelopes, the underside envelope design shows through. I mention this because I make my own holiday cards and envelopes using very colorful scrapbooking paper. With the white labels over red envelopes, for example, the red shows through. May or may not matter to you; they still look fine to me.

These are a permanent adhesive, so stick carefully cos you''ll only get one chance!

Nice labels! Compatible with Avery 5160 labels, if you use the Avery or other programs that use Avery template #s.

These labels are sturdy, yet are more flexible, and can reposition on paper and other surfaces.

They are marked "laser", yet they work very well with inkjet printers as well.

The flexibility of these labels leads to less jamming than other labels! When you print a LOT of address or other labels, this is incredibly important especially with mailing lists for organizations where a jam could mean a lot of time in finding where the jam occurred, which labels didn''t get printed and then finding this in your program and restarting it from where it left off.

I had no problem running them through my printer and they do have a very strong adhesive. I also used them to label my candle jars and they worked great on glass as well.

Note: You need to be careful when you stick the label on something as it will really want to stay stuck, so it is not easy to reposition the label. The material you stick the label on will likely be damaged when you remove the label unless the surface is more substantial than paper.
