Avery® Matte White High-Visibility Labels for Inkjet Printers (8293) Save 30% off

Avery® Matte White High-Visibility Labels for Inkjet Printers, 1-1/2 Inch Diameter, Pack of 400
  • Matte white addressing labels for inkjet printer.
  • Special coating provides vivid color and sharp text for brilliant, high-resolution color images from your inkjet printer to your labels.
  • Ideal for mailings, messages, invitations and announcements.
  • Guaranteed printer performance in HP®, Canon®, Epson® and other popular printers.

It wasn''t easy finding these round labels, but fortunately Avery still makes them and Amazon.com sells them. They''re perfect for spice jars, reward stickers, whatever. Some software programs (Printmaster) are designed to use these labels with the space between them/20 per page, so no other labels will work. Other programs use the labels that are closer together/24 per page. If you don''t get the right labels you can waste a lot of time and ink and never get them lined up. The programs I have allow you to design only one label at a time, while the Printmaster program using these labels lets you design a whole page of different labels and save and print them in one step.

Labels either work in your printer, or they don''t. These work and hold the ink just fine. I needed to order labels quickly and found these at the top of the list. However, there are other venders that make these labels for a fair price. Searching for "Avery compatible" will reveal the more competitive alternatives, although shipping cost may also be a consideration.

The labels were as described and easy to align due to the practice sheet Avery included. They went through the printer smoothly, peeled off easily, and adhered nicely.

I''ve never tried making my own round envelope seals before but I must say these 1 1/2"diameter white label/seals (with a template available at Avery.com) work beautifully and allow for wonderful creativity. I''ve already printed several pages using the template, and whatever image you choose aligns perfectly on the seal so that the finished seal looks quite professional. I printed out a couple pages of different images already, then used my Sakura Gelly Roll sparkly pens to add a bit more liveliness and color to the finished sticker. They''re gorgeous and I''m all set for any letter I might write in the future. The holiday images will make wonderful Christmas envelope embellishments or labels on gift bags, etc. A terrific product at a terrific price and I won''t hesitate to keep a supply of these on hand.

We use these to make stickers for our preschool. We have a letter of the day and sometimes it is hard to find stickers to go along with each letter. So we just make our own. They are also easier for the children to remove than some traditional stickers.

Dell 966 All in One Color Printer Scanner Fax Copier

Since my first purchase of the initial IBM PC in 1981 I have owned dozens of personal computers and peripherals. In all that time I have never been more dissatisfied with a product than I have been with the Dell Photo 966. When it''s working properly (which is seldom) it''s main purpose in life seems to be marketing Dell ink cartridges. It is essentially impossible to print anything without at least two annoying popups providing the reminder to purchase ink from Dell. However, the true issue lies in basic product quality. The thing often simply refuses to work. It displays a variety of error messages sending the user on no end of wild goose chases to clear imaginary jams and "carriage stalls". In an average day I unplug and reboot the printer an average of five or six times. Tomorrow I''m going out to buy a new printer, and you can be sure it won''t be a Dell.

Nothing but problems. I have been on the phone to Dell several times for lengthy tech support issues. Sometimes hours. Sometimes days, because the guy couldn''t figure it out and I had to get another guy.

Do not waste your money on this cheap piece of s...

Due to the slick plastic bottom it does not even function well as a door stop. I am going to try boat-anchor next week.

I bought a 966 with the wireless network adapter through Dell last November. Once I got it all setup it was a dream come true to have the printer on the network. The black and white print quality wasn''t very good and it seamed a lot slower than I expected, but it was on the network! I printed a photo and after a few minutes a dull, lined, faded and wet paper fell out of the printer that looked like the photo I wanted. I thought, "Ok, it''s not a photo printer. I can accept that." After all, any computer in the house can print to it. Then, after about a week, I tried to print something and the progress bar went up to 5% and stopped. I tried again and again. Then re-installed the drivers, which worked! For another week. I did it again. Same results. Then I called support. They sent a replacement. Same thing. As it turns out there are a lot of people with the same problem. The support staff don''t seem to have any answers and there doesn''t appear to be any resolution online. So, no more network. That''s Ok, I hooked it up with a USB cable, but the thing is massive and doesn''t fit on my desk, which is why I got the network adapter.

Conclusion. I''m left with a printer that doesn''t print well. It copy''s and scans and faxes with equal quality. Even with the network adapter it doesn''t work as a network printer. All in all, this is the worst printer I have ever heard of.

I agree with the other reviewers, this printer has caused nothing but problems. It does not even work half the time and when it does, it drains ink like there is no tomorrow. Even with that, the picture quality is bad. Don''t even think of buying this printer!

The Dell 966 with network card dosen''t work! It wastes huge amounts of time, ink, paper, telephone calls, it frays nerves and makes me very angry that such rubbuish is put on the market for sale to unsuspecting customers. I bought one for my wife with a new Dell laptop. Anyone would think they would work together but no. The support system is designed to put you off, ring you back at an inconvenient time so you eventually give up unless you have nothing better to do. That''s exactly what happend me. Put it back in the box for a year or so. Took it out again. Ink jet cartridges dried up. Bought new ones for 56.00 and off we go provided you have the USB cable attached. Took it to a computer clinic your WLAN card is defective. Eventually rang Dell sorry out of warranty but I reported the fault within warranty period and you rang me at work sorry we don''t make that network card any more. This is totally unlawful and they should not be allowed sell product to the public without basic backup. I''m going to sue!

  • Monochrome - Up to 19 ppm print speed

I got this printer a couple weeks ago from HP''s online store, and I''m quite pleased overall.

FYI, I''m using this with two Win7 64bit PCs and an Actiontec router which is supplied by Verizon FiOS.

PROS

I won''t mention the obvious features, as they''re easy enough to spot reading the main description of the printer and looking at the pictures.

It''s very well packed! I doubt the standard "fling it up there on the porch" approach that some delivery guys take would hurt this thing.

Comes with a (short) USB cable where most printers these days do not. Since I hoped to use it wirelessly, it was nice to have a cable included for initial setup rather than buying one separate. See the cons below for more info on the USB cable.

Setup in Win7 64bit was a breeze! I just followed the directions. That got the wireless part setup. From there, my other Win7 64bit PC easily found it on the network. Now they can both print to it.

It works with WPA2! I didn''t have to downgrade my wifi network to use the less-secure WEP. (It does work with WEP for sure, and it seems to work with WPS, too.)

Upon changing my wireless settings, I just plug the printer USB back into the PC and run the HP wireless config. The software gives me the option to enter info manually or have the printer auto-detect network settings from my PC. Both ways seem to work.

The document feeder on top works fine for copies. I''ve used it a few times now without any jams or failed copies.

The ID copy feature is awesome! It lets you fill up a single page with incremental scans of smaller images without printing more than one sheet ... and all from the printer, no PC software-based editing required.

The control panel is adjustable, so you can tilt it up. It makes it so much easier to see if you have the printer set below eye level.

While shopping, I read some reviews/reports that other wifi printers wouldn''t wake up from standby mode to print. I''ve had no such problems with this M1217nfw if the power button is on, it will wake up and print when told.

CONS: To me, these are negatives, but they''re nowhere near bad enough to make me regret buying this printer. I can''t say if they''d be deal-breakers for other folks or not.

The included USB cable is very short, something like 2 feet. If you plan to use this via a USB cable, be prepared for the back of the printer to be within 2 feet of the USB port on your PC. That could be tricky for some folks'' computer desks. (You could buy a longer cable, I suppose, but that makes the total cost higher.)

There isn''t really a "paper tray" at all. There''s a fold down door at the bottom of the front. You lay it down and put the blank paper in there. It sits there, exposed to light and air and dust and dog hair. I will have to take the paper out and close the door if I don''t plan to print for a while. The lack of a drawer-type tray that slides completely under the printer means it''s not quite as easy to be "on demand printer" at this house.

The normal toner cartridge (not the intro one it ships with) has something like a 1600 page yield and seems to be $50-$60. That seems on the expensive side of cost-per-page for laser printers. If you do a lot of printing be sure to consider that.

I decided to go with a laserjet after my HP inkjet wouldn''t print black/white documents because a color cartridge was empty.

Setup with the printer was very easy and no CD is required. It comes with a 3'' USB cable and you just connect it to the PC and a dialog box asks which type of install you would like to perform (wired network, direct USB connection, or wireless). I did the wireless connectionso I had to enter in the password for the printer to get on which is all configured through the PC. Overall, the total install and setup took about 10 minutes.

I did change the amount of time for the printer to enter the sleep mode. The default was 15 minutes and I changed it to 5 since I don''t print as often. You change this by right clicking on the printer and going to the properties menu on your PC.

For printing, the text is very clear. Images are pretty good as well. I printed directions and maps and from google and everything looked clear. I love how fast the printer is. Even when the printer is in sleep mode, it starts printing in less than 10 seconds.

I scanned one file so far to test it out. I performed the scan wirelessly which is a nice feature. I didn''t play around with the resolution but the image didn''t seem as clear as my photosmart all-in-one. But, for what I plan to use it for I think it works great.

The document feeder also works well so far (I only tested once) and I haven''t tried the fax yet.

The only complaint I have, is that I wish it had auto-duplexing. Overall I am happy with the purchase. I also bought it directly from HP since they had $ 30 off plus an additional $ 50.

I do tons of printing for work and really needed to buy a laser printer that had a really low cost per page. I researched monochrome laser printers for a couple of weeks before buying this one and I really like this one, it is my first laser printer and much cheaper per page than any inkjet. I actually based my decision on the cost of the toner cartridges. HP''s toner cartridges are expensive, but the 85A has been out for a while and there are some really inexpensive and good quality generic cartridges 2 Pack: Compatible HP CE285A Laser Toner Cartridges. I purchased a pack of 2 for about $25 and when I installed it the printer recognized it as genuine hp. The printer is a bit loud but I can live with that. It prints bout three to three and a half reams of paper with the starter cartridge. In my opinion you can''t go wrong with this printer. It has a document feeder which can scan to pdf, one of the functions that I use a lot and the wireless printing is seamless I haven''t had to reset the printer or my computer because of a freeze-up. I have it connected to three computers and an iPad and they all work great with it. If you don''t mind it being kind of loud then this is your best bang for your buck.

The document feeder for this product does not work. Never worked even once. HP support instructions

This is a hardware issue. The paper goes quarter of the way and display shows the error "Doc feeder mispick". The same set of paper scans in other scanners without any problem.

ive noticed alot of other reviewers had problems with using all the features of this printer. Ive managed to get everything working. i have the printer wirelessly connected to my network and i can scan print & fax from my macbook pro running lion.

Heres what i had to do:

1. download the updated printer firmware from hp site and install via usb cable.

2. download the driver installer from hp site(do not use the included cd) install via usb.

3. go to system prefs>print&scan> select your printer then go to options and supplies.go to the utility tab and open printer utility. You should now be in the onboard browser. go to the networking tab and configure the settings to connect to you wireless network. when the printer is connected, close the browser.

4. remove the usb cable and uninstall the printer from system prefs.

5. re-install from the installer you downloaded in step 2. choose network when it asks. when it finishes you should have everything working fine.

Hope this helps anyone whos been having a hard time.

Brother MFC-8500 Laser Multifunction Center

Brother MFC-8500 Laser Multifunction Center
  • All-in-one fax, laser printer, copier, scanner
  • Prints and copies up to 15 ppm
  • 30-page auto document feeder for fax
  • Scans up to 9,600 dpi, prints 600 dpi
  • Parallel and USB interfaces, PC and Mac compatible

The truth is that a "really good fax" will separate you from about a thousand of your beloved George Washingtons; they don''t sell them at places where most of us shop. For the average SOHO buyer the options in Laser multi functions are limited at best. This is my fifth printer and second multi function through the years, my first Brother product. I am a retired Network Engineer and I have personally laid hands on some of HPs biggest and badest printers, lets just say I have been around the block.

I bought the MFC 4800 and a Panasonic and returned both within three weeks because of misfeeds; so far the 8500 has not skipped a beat yet. Is it fast? Yes, very fast and the print quality is as good as it gets. Notable differences from the 4800; prints faster, scans faster, copies more clearly, has a larger capacity sheet feeder, has one touch faxing, is network capable, holds more paper, can add another 250 sheet paper tray, has a larger LCD, and ships with a full toner instead of a starter. The warranty may also be better. Also the feed mechanism is better than the 4800 thus eliminating misfeeds. The 8500 will suck up your 20-page fax faster than you can say, "I''m a nine to five slave", spit it out, and let you get back to playing solitaire while it takes care of business.

For those of us who own real office equipment the 8500 feels light and flimsy but remember it is only four hundred street price, you get what you pay for. I like the fact that it goes silent in sleep mode, that''s good. The dedicated left and right arrow keys make programming the unit such a snap that even a CEO can do it. For support ask for a supervisor when you call Brother, the front line people don''t know how to turn it on much less trouble shoot it. The manual is horribly lacking, it will do more than the manual tells you it will and Brothers web site about using the online manual is wrong, it is not any better. If you have trouble with the software and want to just install the drivers they are on the CD. Use the Distinctive Ring feature from your phone company if you don''t have a dedicated line but be sure to read the manual to set up the unit.

In my epinion this is a great unit, full of features at an entry-level price. It''s a laser and remember a few years ago these things did not even exist yet so we are lucky just to have them at all. Stay away from ink jets, they are loud, slow, messy, very expensive, and just don''t belong in a real office setting. Go for the high capacity toner, for ten more bucks you get twice the toner, it''s a no brainer and it gives you about a penny a page printing cost. Get the 8500, take it home, love it and it will love you back but watch the return date on your receipt in case you want to file for divorce but I doubt that will happen, this is one sexy, snappy little baby....

I have owned this printer about 2 months now, and could not be happier. It is silent when not in operation, warm-up is only 2-3 seconds, and a single sheet pops out in seconds. Have done print jobs as large as 300 pages or so, and the printer really does crank them at 10-12 pages/minute. Print quality is excellent. Mac OS 10.1 works great with the printer; kudos to Brother for staying up-to-date. Don''t know about long-term durability, but seems solid enough. The Fax works fine. Can''t go wrong at this price.

I really hesitated before purchasing this Multifunction, as I had a low-end Brother fax years ago and wasn''t thrilled with it. Alas I wanted a laser based multi-function, and at anywhere near the ($$$) price point, Brother''s currently the only game in town.

While the mechanics and electronics of the unit seem reasonable, the print speed fast, and the unit very quiet when not in use, the software and documentation just flat-out stinks... The installation process was buggy, and even when finally installed, the "tools" they give you to scan, print, fax, copy and manage the printer from your PC (as opposed the printers front panel) are primitive, lacking any help screens, buggy, slow, and do not play well with other PC applications. Brother, develop some real specifications for what this software needs to do as well as looking at how other vendors create a polished user interface, then hire (or outsource) a good development team to complete these tasks!

Till then... the 8500 get''s returned and I''ll buy another HP and live with the slightly higher cost, slightly slower ink-jet engine.

What a major improvement after switching from my HP OfficeJet piece of junk! I realize this is an apples to oranges comparison, but I was ready to throw that HP in the street and run it over. I''ve been using this machine for nearly 8 months. It is a true workhorse and I am very pleased with performance. Faxes, copies and prints very quickly. Scanning feature is pretty good, too. Help via email was ok, but not stellar. My only reason for giving this machine 4 stars and not 5 is that I have a hard time believing I''m really getting 6000 pages with its larger toner drum. Then again, some of the stuff I print and copy is hardly standard text. Overall--a great performing machine and I highly recommend it.

i bought this this multifunction center for my new medical practice...i''ve had it for seven months now with over 3000+ trouble-free pages thus far...i''m quite pleased with this product...well worth the money for home use or small business.

I purchased this product because I had a few cases of homemade wine that I wanted to create custom labels for. These labels are the perfect size for the bottles and worked out great! The only downside is that the formatting of the templates does not allow you to have images that go all of the way to the edge of the labels, but I made a few modifications and it worked out well. I do wish they had a glossy version, but I''m very pleased with this purchase.

Epson Stylus Photo R300M Inkjet Printer

Epson Stylus Photo R300M Inkjet Printer
  • Up to 5,760 x 1,440 optimized dpi resolution
  • Slots for digital-camera memory cards
  • Built-in 2.5-inch preview LCD
  • Accepts inkjet-printable CDs and DVDs
  • 2 USB ports; supports DirectPrint and PictBridge cameras

Of course, all Epson stylus photo''s produce great picture quality, are solidly built and have thoughtful easy setup directions. I''ve owned several Epson''s and each generation just gets more amazing both in easy of use and quality.

It''s a 6-ink inkjet and it''s an Epson stylus photo so I don''t really need to go on about the print quality but the R300M has some great and outstanding additional features.

#1

This printer prints with the Mac/PC on or off. You can use a USB cable to plug in your digital camera or better yet, drop in your camera''s memory card in one of the front slots and view using the COLOR LCD screen! And if you activate the feature, the memory card mounts on the desktop (well at least on a Mac) so you can save from having to buy a memory card reader also!

It reads CompactFlash, Microdrive, Memory Stick, SD, MMC, SmartMedia or xD so unless you own some weird Albanian format you are set to go.

Just plug in your memory card use the simple navigation (two minutes to learn and very clear) to set the size you want to print and what kind of paper you are using. Then just arrow up & down to view thumbnails (with a preview window of your photograph) once you select the photograph, it fills the 2" COLOR screen so you know exactly what you are getting. Then hit PRINT and there it is. If you have a nice digital camera and your photographs are at the highest resolution you get a print that indistinguishable from store processed.

It prints BORDERLESS 8.5" by 11" great quality and makes your special photographs look like art.

#2

It prints on CD-R and DVD-R''s. While you can certainly use Epson discs (probably a bit steeper), I did not have a lot of different types of printable media around (you get a Memorex branded freebie with the printer) but they all look fine. It depends on your needs some look a little darker than others so you''ll have to experiment a little but an incredibly easy to use feature. You simply insert a special tray launch the Epson CD software paste and/or type and select print. Since Epson included a Memorex CD, it''s pretty obvious you can use any brand as you might know, your choices on the CD/DVD printables are with a white background or on silver so depending on your artwork some might look better on white others on silver. DO NOT print on non-printable CD/DVD-R''s the ink will smear! (no, I did not have to try it to know that :-)

#3

Setup is amazingly easy and you get a nice assortment of software.

#4

I know some printers have special chips in the print cartridges that do not allow you to use 3rd party color cartridges not the case with Epson I''ve already seen 3rd party cartridges for the R300M so if you decide not to buy the Epson ink, you have other choices.

#5

Epson has a great selection of professional paper including some that will supposedly not yellow in 25 or 100 years (you choose) so you get a lot of professional options along the way.

The ONLY ONLY tiny downside is you do not get a USB cable so you will need a "B" to "A" cable I had an extra one but if you don''t, they''re about $6 and up.

Other than that tiny thing it''s perfect if you want high-end print results from a $250 printer if you want 4x6 to 8.5x11 borderless printing along with a COLOR preview window for printing with or without the computer being on and if you want easy CD/DVD-R printing and it''s well designed and with great step by step setup instructions this is one great printer!

Buy Epson Stylus Photo R300M Inkjet Printer Now

This is my first photo/DVD printer and will probably be the only one I will be using for a good while. The photos I''ve printed out so far, inluding several 8x10 enlargements, are outstanding and undistinguishable from lab prints. In fact, I think they''re a lot better since I can edit them and adjust them on the PC. Printing from a PICTBridge-enabled camera isn''t too shabby either, but I prefer to edit my photos first. Same thing with printing from memory cards; this is a handy feature, though since I can use the printer as a cardreader.

Two little gripes the supplied color LCD screen resolution is rather low and the B&W LCD does not illuminate, which may be a problem, as in my case, since I keep the printer in a dark corner of the desk. If you largely print photos from PC, you may want to buy the R300 instead, which doesn''t have the color LCD and is 40 to 50 USD cheaper, depending on where you order it.

I was actually debating whether to purchase the Epson R300m or the Canon Pixma IP600D or the HP 7960. The photo quality in the stores was almost the same. What tipped the scales in favor of Epson was the ability to print onto inkjet printable DVDs and the relatively cheaper ink cartridges. I guess now I''ll never know the real difference but as long as the Epson does what it''s supposed to do, and does it extremely well, who cares?

UPDATE: This little gem is still going strong. No paper jams or streaks as long as you maintain the printheads properly. Photo printing is still topnotch. Text printing will never equal the crispness of a laser printer but that''s not the reason I got it. I love printing my own DVDs. As for cartridges, several online stores carry cheaper versions that work just as well as originals, sometimes for 40% less.

I purchased the R300M, installed it and spent an entire day trying to figure out why I could not get it to work. Turns out, mine had a defective memory card reader. When I called Epson support they were outstanding at taking care of the problem. I had my new printer within 2 days.

The new one works like a charm. I will say that when you turn the printer on and off its slow and initially I thought something was wrong but customer service assured me this is normal.

I am also glad I anted up the extra bucks so I could view the photo through a view finder at the top of the printer this feature is worth the $.

My first few photos did not come out to well. I did a printer head alignment and that took care of the problem. Also be sure to click on the correct type of paper you are using ..ie if you are using glossy or regular you click the box in the properties section when you select paper size etc. otherwise you will not get the best results.

After playing with it awhile I printed some photographs and they were stunning! Though the initial cost may seem high, its frustrating to get prints from the store that are of poor quality due to lighting, camera angle etc. You will be able to control your results here and enjoy your photos right away when you print them.

Another nice feature is you can print directly on a CD. My daughter is a singer so we purchased this printer to have that feature available. Though we have not used it yet, I have heard that results are very good.

With the quality photos I am getting and the great customer service I received this Epson Inkjet gets high marks.

Not much to fault here, unless you have dreaded driver problems of some kind. Used with a Nikon 8800 (8MP) and Pentax Optio S5I (5MP), this printer delivers stunning 4x6 or full page borderless prints. Forget the silly little picturemate. This is the printer to buy!

HOWEVER, I used a second printer for text stuff because the 300 is pretty slow overall. The LCD monitor is of limited use since most of us will edit pics on a PC anyway. Ink cartidges seem to last a long time and you can replace them one at a time which makes sense.

My client Tim, the "dental guy" was in the process of marketing a dental plan in the Las Vegas area, when he advised me that he wanted to print CD cards to pass out to his clients. I purchased this Epson printer, but wasn''t really sure if it could produce the professional quality he desired.

I converted his logo to a vector graphic, so it could be printed on a variety of marketing items, cups, and t-shirts. At first, I was reluctant to put the actual CD into the printer. My non-trusting techie self, wondered how it was going to come back out, since the CDs had already been burned.

I cautiously put in the CD in the tray, and went to the design program, bundled with this printer. I taught my client, how to set up the design, and WOW! The actual CD went inside the printer, and out came a professional labeled CD, in full color.

Although the speed was slower than I would have liked, and you must purchase the Epson media CD or DVD, you can retire those sticky labels that jam in other printers. If you want to send out CD media to your clients, with your logo, in full color, and do it cheaply, this is the printer to buy!

Even though, I happen to be an HP printer fan, Epson has my admiration on this printer.

To my disappointment this paper is really thin. It''s probably my fault for not knowing what 67# weight is suppose to feel like. It is way too thin to print cards on. It is only slightly thicker than regular copier paper. But it did ship fast and it was sealed and with no damage. So if you know this is how thick you would like it to be, then I am sure you will have a great product. But I have no idea what I am going to do with it all....

I used this card stock to make my children''s birthday party invitations. The color printed very nicely on the card stock. The pictures and words on the pages popped because of ho wwhite the card stock is. I would recommend this product to others!

Needed this product to print out price tags for the local consignment sale. It worked perfectly and I have plenty to spare for the fall.

I purchased this to use to make valentines for my children to take to school. It arrived quickly, was sturdy, but easy to use in my printer. The valentines printed cleanly and I used my paper cutter to cut slots to insert pencils.

While the price for this product (at the time I purchased it) was good, after comparing it to other high cotton papers that I had, this one appears quite yellow/dingy. Held up to any "cheap" paper, it''s going to look old. The weight is good, and the feel is nice, but I won''t be buying this particular product again.
