HP PhotoSmart 7760 Photo Printer

HP PhotoSmart 7760 Photo Printer
  • Print directly from your digital camera memory card
  • Preview, edit, and enhance photos with 1.8-inch LCD
  • Up to 13 ppm black, 12 ppm color with standard cartridge
  • Print a 4-by-6-inch photo in as little as 36 seconds
  • 2 USB ports, 4 memory card slots; PC and Mac compatible

I''m no expert with computers so if I''m able to get started easily anyone can. The easy start instructions got me up and running in no time without any assistance from my more computer literate sons. The HP7760 accepts a variety of memory cards which is helpful in a family that boasts three digital cameras with three different memory cards. The small screen that is on the printer allows the user to view the images without a computer. The printer can view, crop, rotate, enlarge, and select the size and quantity of prints without computer assistance. The printing time was a tad slow but the quality was as good as any professional digital prints I''ve purchased. It''s ''almost'' as good as 35mm.

The paper tray has a slot for 4x6 paper making it easy to print copies of photos without wasting expensive larger size photo paper. One minor annoyance is the requirement for changing print cartridges to print black and white, photos or typed material, so if this is your only printer you''ll be changing cartridges frequently. A convenient little device for protecting and storing removed cartridges mitigates this problem slightly but one extra cartridge slot would have been far superior.

If you want to go beyond the basic editing available through the printer itself it is simple to install the software that is included and to attach to your computer using an usb cable that is not included.

All in all I''m very happy with this new printer.

My husband and I went to Aruba on our honeymoon with our new digital camera. After shopping around for approximately a month, we decided to buy the HP7760 mainly because of the 1.8" LCD screen no computer necessary.

The guy at Best Buy told me I needed a USB cable, which is true, but it is not necessary unless you are printing from your computer. He tried to sell me a $30 one; I went to Walmart the next day and got one on clearance for $12.

The printing is absolutely wonderful! The colors and hues are so rich, it looks like you are there in person. The blue sky is as blue on the picture as it was in person! Same with all the other colors! I have not run into any problems with little stars or black lines appearing on my pictures, and since I installed it about two hours ago, I have printed more than 50 4x6 prints using the HP Premium Photo Plus glossy paper. The prints are instantly smudge-proof, but take longer time to dry if you want to put them in an album (especially the ones with the dark colors). I feel the quality is equal to that os lab processed prints. I took a picture of the sunset one day and the oranges and reds just jump off the picture at you.

I also haven''t had any problems with any paper jams or "ink failed error" as some other reviewers have complained. The tray can only hold 20 4x6 cards at a time, so don''t overload it and you''ll be fine.

I also liked that it came with two ink cartridges, one color and one photo. After 50-something pictures, the cartridges are still going strong. I also bought a black cartridge and color cartridge (a combo pack at Best Buy for its sale price of $39.74, regularly $53) and a gray photo ink cartridge along with a second photo cartridge. In addition I bought the HP plus glossy and matte paper (haven''t used the matte yet)

One word of advice (and it tells you this in the manual): When you place the paper in the 4x6 tray, make sure the side you''re printing on is down and the perforated edge is toward you. I made the mistake of putting the paper in backward and had a couple prints come out with a white stripe on the end where the perforated edge should have been.

This printer is great for the price and ease of use! No complaints whatsoever!

I just received the 7760 in the mail today.

I had to run to Walmart because I forgot to order the USB printer cable. After I hooked the printer up to the computer which took about 10 minutes ( includes the unpacking of the printer ). I took out all the pictures that I had and WOW the quality is unheard off. I mean the pictures are just so clear and pure quality. The printer pretty much started on it''s own.

Just plug everything and put the disk that came with it and It does everything on it''s own. Ohhh and then I tried photo paper.

Ohhh man it just got better from there.

THIS IS THE PRINTER TO GET.!!!!!!!

This is an outstanding printer. Aside from doing an excellent job with photos, it also functions extremely well as an all-purpose printer, running the gamut from high-quality photo printing to everyday correspondence and web page printing.

Right after I bought this, my 5-year old laser died, so I started using the 7760 as a temporary all-purpose printer. I was so impressed, I decided against buying another laser printer. The "fast draft mode" provides nice quality for everyday document and web page printing; very sharp for black & white, but just a bit lighter than normal mode, and is far better than draft mode on Epsons. There is also a "Fast Normal" mode that looks near perfect, yet provides some ink savings. Both modes print text and graphics far more quickly than earlier models, narrowing the gap against laser printers dramatically. Like all good-quality photo printers, it runs through ink quickly at the highest photo settings. But for everyday use in "Fast Draft" and "Fast Normal" modes, I''m satisfied with the ink economy.

I have had this printer for 10 months, use nearly everyday, and have never experienced any of the problems noted by other reviewers. I use only with a Dell desktop PC and IBM Thinkpad, so cannot speak to its viability as a standalone photo printer. I love having only one printer, as I never thought that a single printer could run the gamut from high quality photos to economical everyday use---let alone at this price. I''ve recommended this printer to others time and again, and I''d buy it again in a minute.

UPDATE: Regarding some of the other more recent negative comments: I''ve had this printer for nearly 2 years now, and my photos have not faded at all. To get these results, its important to use genuine HP ink (and switching out the black #56 cartridge for the Photo #58 cartridge when printing photos) and PREMIUM photo papers. I have used HP Premium, HP Premium Plus, and the premium Kodak photo paper available at Costco; the HP Premium Plus gives slightly better results). Generic ink + cheap paper = bad results. Also, when printing photos, one needs to adjust the print quality settings to "best". Common sense info straight out of the user guide!

12/4/2007 update this printer is still going strong after almost 4 years! Came here looking for one for a friend. Photo quality is comparable to the Canon MP530 I use at the office. And older model means less expensive ink in larger cartridges that don''t run out every month.

10/26/2010 UPDATE still working flawlessly, came here again looking for a refurb to have as backup whenever this one dies. Never thought it would last this long. Absolutely phenomenal printer, all my printed photos still look good as new with the Premium Plus paper. And this ink cartridge is so large compared to newer ones, a terrific deal. Have it on a print server now and works great with that too. Windows 7 even has updated drivers for it, nice touch by hp in continuing to support a printer introduced in 2003!

I just bought this printer & LOVE it! I am very pleased with the quality of pictures it produces. I printed out some family pictures & framed them my family was in awe that I printed them from my home printer! I love the LCD display & the simplicity of the operation. Highly recommended by me!

If you''re looking for a very basic copier to make the occasional black and white copy this unit is fine. It makes very clean looking black and white copies. If you can think of a question in the form of "Does this copier have _____" chances are the answer is no. It can do double-sided copies, but only manually. There is no multiple-original feed. No shrink/enlarge options. It does have auto-exposure with a manual override if it''s needed. Knowing all of this I think it''s a steal at the $25 AR I paid. Otherwise you''re probably better off with a scanner and printer for most uses.

This is a cleverly designed compact copier, but don''t buy it if you think you would ever need to copy a page from a book. In order to copy a page from a book one must push down on the book to flatten out the part of the page closest to the spine, and this copier would probably break under that kind of pressure. In addition, the surface (platen, I think they call it) where one places the book to be copied moves back and forth during the copying process, and even if one doesn''t push down on the book, a considerable amount of patience and manual dexterity is needed to hold the book perfectly on the surface while it moves. We immediately saw that we would not be able to use this copier, since we occasionally need to copy pages from books, and Amazon was very nice about taking it back even though we had already begun to use the toner cartridge. Amazon even paid the shipping charges to return it.

I use this instead of my scanner and ink jet and am very impressed with it. I wasn''t expecting much for the price ($24 after rebates) but it surprised me with how well it works. It starts up within seconds and shuts down automatically. This is not something you would use for a business, it copies slow and does not feed multiple documents. It is nice and portable and is perfect for coping a few pages every week.

This copier replaces a personal Canon copier I had for at least 14 years. Over the years I have found it very handy to have a copier at home and have used it quite often. The Canon PC 170 takes up very little space and performs very well. It makes excellent copies quickly with no warm-up waiting time. An additional feature which I did not have on my older copier, is that the PC 170 has a paper feed which allows one to make multiple copies. You can also set the number of copies to be made. On my old copier, each paper had to be hand fed. Another nice feature is that one can adjust the paper feed to make copies as small as an index card. I have used this feature many times over the years on my old copier and was happy to see this same feature on the newer model. This copier is an excellent value for the price.

This user-friendly machine does exactly what it''s supposed to do; turns out decent copies at a reasonable rate. I use it for copying in my home---may be adequate for small business owners who only need a few pages at a time, too. Was tired of the inconvenience of running around looking for a public copier, maybe leaving an important paper under the lid of the printer, etc.---and the latest threat---that the public printer may be retaining info from items being printed. This was a good purchase for me & I''d recommend it to others, too.

We''ve purchased various brands of shipping thermal labels in the past and have never had ones that were so poor in quality as these. They look very grainy and are hard for the bar code scanner to scan for USPS shipping, basically this makes them unusable. I would be willing to consider it possibly being the machine but since it started once we used these labels its quite clear its not the machine (especially since its thermal and not ink based)

We''ve sent a return request to the company and we''ll see how well they do customer service, I hope its better than the product but I''m not holding my breath.

Epson B351A PictureMate Deluxe Printer/Viewer

Epson B351A PictureMate Deluxe Printer/Viewer
  • Epson B351A PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition General Features: Personal photo lab
  • Easily view and print, no computer required USB interface Front memory card reader
  • Works with all popular memory cards Adjustable 2.4-inch photo viewer screen
  • Prints a brilliant 4 x 6-inch photo in as fast as 75 seconds
  • Superior 6-color pigment ink system and up to 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi for lab quality photos

PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition takes the personal photo lab one step further, making it even easier to view, edit and print glossy 4" x 6" photos. It measure 6 by 10 by 6 inches (HWD), weighs 5.5 pounds, and has a handle. The Deluxe Viewer Edition also has a battery option. Setup is just as easy as with the original. Simply slide the single six-color ink cartridge--with cyan, yellow, magenta, black, red, and blue inks--into the slot in the back, load the photo paper, connect the power cord, and you''re ready to print from a camera, external CD or ZIP drive, a USB memory key, or any type of memory card, although you''ll need an adapter for miniSD cards and some Memory Stick formats. To print from your computer, the only additional steps are to connect by USB cable and run the automated install program. You can also add Epson''s optional Bluetooth adapter for wireless printing.

It takes about 1 minute 19 seconds to 1:45 for each photo, whether printed from a computer, memory card, or camera.

It uses ink and paper, which means the photos for the Deluxe Viewer Edition are also waterproof and smear-proof even immediately after printing, and they cost only 29 cents per print. Now this is the kicker, it is cheaper to print them at Sam''s Club for 12 cents per print, so I only purchased this because I can take it to scrap meets and print what I need when I need it. My other photos I send to Sam''s Club or even Wal-Mart for nearly the same price of 12 cents. This is more of a convince thing for me. I purchased this mode for only 24.99 at Target where it normally retailed for 199.00 but it was on super clearance. This is what you have to weigh in on, convince for the price or what your pocket book can handle. It has come in handy for me at times and the prints come out nicely so it is a tossup for people on a budget!

This has got to be Epsons most wonderful product ever produced. I have owned this printer for over 3 years and the photos are absolutely perfect. The ink doesn''t run, doesn''t fade and the quality is perfect. I have never owned a product that is this perfect. Thank you Epson for the technology. P.S. I even have ink that is a year old and I didn''t expect it to work anymore... but it does.

I THINK THIS IS THE BEST LITTLE PRINTER EVER MADE BY EPSON. THIS PRINTER HAS ITS PRINTING HEAD SEPERATELY FROM THE INK, UNLIKE OTHER PRINTERS WITH THEIR PRINTING HEADS ON THE INK CARTRIDGES. SO USING THIS PRINTER BY SOME ONE WHO HARDLY DOES PRINTING WILL FIND THAT THE HEADS WILL CLOG. IF THIS PRINTER IS USED AT LEAST TWO TIMES PER WEEK, THE HEADS WILL NOT CLOG. I USE IT EVERY DAY. CAREFULL, DO NOT USE INKS MADE BY ANYONE ELSE. THAT WILL MESS THE PRINTER.

Want Epson B351A PictureMate Deluxe Printer/Viewer Discount?

The only negative with the Epson PictureMate Deluxe Printer/Viewer is the quality of the viewer image which is not of the same quality as the one I had previously owned. The images are not very clear and it is difficult to get a good perspective on the image, especially when bringing a desired imaage to close-up mode. Printed picture quality is very good. My reason for replacing my old PictureMate is that I could not get the heads to clean-up and therefore had predominately blue pictures. Also, I had just purchased two Epson color packs which I didn''t want to throw away. I had printed several hundred pictures with my old printer and was very satisfied with the Epson product.

There were no reviews when I ordered this, so I was apprehensive. I didn''t want to waste my money on unofficial ink or ruin my time clock. So far, so good. The ink works just fine for my Amano PIX-200. It prints clearly and doesn''t smudge. It remains to be seen if it will last as long as the official ribbons, but for 3 ribbons for less than the price of one, this ink has done what it was supposed to do.

  • LaserJet Printer. 110v
  • First Page Out in as Little Time as 8.5 Seconds

Just like the first reviewer said, this thing is VERY fast. After about 8 seconds pages pop out about one per second. The printer is solid and I expect years of service. It comes with a 64A cartridge with a 10,000 page capacity.

I run a small business and send envelopes to physicians and patients. I wanted to print to envelopes. I wore out a Canon Canoscan feeder tray over several years. I picked this printer because it was the cheapest that accepted the HP CB524A HP Envelope feeder envelope feeder. Yes, I was willing to pay about $1000 for the printer and envelope feeder just for the envelopes. We do a lot of envelopes. Even though that was all I was planning to print, I was just amazed at the speed of this unit for regular printing, and it has become my preferred printer in the office. The envelope feeder snaps onto the front of the unit and envelopes feed flawlessly. As a bonus, the envelope feeder does not prevent the use of the manual tray. This is important for a multi user printer. I had thought that the envelope feeder would block the manual feed. Instead, the manual feed tray is accessible. I can print regularly from the large capacity 600 sheet bottom tray, print envelopes, and when I do payroll send the job to the printer, walk over to the printer, slip the checks in and they print out when the paper is sensed in the upper tray.

Image quality is great. The screen for images is fine (fine as in distinction to coarse) for good image resolution.

Setup is easy. As a USB printer it works fine. As a network printer it looks for a DHCP sever on the network or it sets up on the 198.x.x.x subnet. I have a Macintosh based network. The printer also can be found with Bonjour. TCP/IP and Appletalk are supported as well as all the Microsoft defined networks. Besides using the front panel menu you can log into the printer with a web browser when the printer is on a network. Besides looking at supplies you can configure all the settings with the web browser. Just find the printer''s IP address by going through the front panel menu, then type in the printer''s IP address in your browser (like http://10.0.1.101). In my case, since I have a DHCP server the printer set up automatically. I then found the IP address, used a web browser to connect to the printer, went to the network control and set up the printer for manual IP assignment. Depending which subnet I am on in network I connect via Appletalk or IP. This is a very flexible setup.

The printer is very solidly built. It is commercial quality. It is also built be be serviced. The cartridge includes the image transfer drum, which is the the part the wears out first on a laser printer. Getting a new one with each toner cartrige change means long term great images. The toner cartridge, 64A, has a 10,000 page capacity. There is a higher capacity cartridge with a 24,000 page capacity. (At less than 2 cents per copy I''d rather get the new drum with each cartridge and feel comfortable with a lower cycle count on the transfer drum.) HP also sells a maintenance kit, which allows you to change the fuser and rollers in the printer. The fuser is the heated roller that melts toner onto the paper. That is the second piece that wears out on a laser printer. I read, somewhere, that has either a 100,000 copy or 250,000 copy life. The repair kit also has additional replacement parts for the rollers in the paper path. Having maintenance kits means this is a serious printer for commercial work which is to be serviced rather than discarded. Compared to the price I am paying to commercial support for the Canon this is a bargain. (The Canon is also my scanner and FAX receiver, so it still has a place in my office.)

Given the speed, capacity, durability, and available accessories, this printer is priced at a very attractive price. The C64A cartridge is worth about $180 and is included. Given how much more productive I and my staff are with this printer it was a very good purchase.

WARNING!! This printer can not use the 24,000 page high capacity CC364X toner cartridge. That cartridge simply will not fit. The only usable cartridge is the 10,000 page CC364A. Our computer club learned that lesson the hard way. If you plan to print in high volume you should consider the HP4015 as you will easily save the price difference in toner. Other than this problem, this appears to be a great printer and I have been happy with it in every other respect.

Honestly it''s a dream printer. Fast, clean looking, loud, but not too distracting, and the fact that it doesn''t jam and print all black pages like my last HP is a welcome change. But setting it up with the help of HP, a nightmare.

The printer comes with a very straight forward installation disk. I uploaded the necessary software, making sure to follow directions exactly. Each time an error about an incorrect file path would pop up. After attempting to go around this error I finally gave in and called HP. After nearly 4 hours they still had NO IDEA why I was getting an error, or how to get around it. Multiple downloads, multiple uninstalls, conferences, questions, nothing was working.

In the end, without the help of HP we moved the printer to another computer and TA-DA it worked. Connected the remaining company computers via the network and things are now working perfectly. But why in those 4 hours couldn''t HP figure out my issue? Why did no one know what this fatal error was?

Had I not been using this printer at a company with a working network I would have eventually had to return the printer because of faulty installation on the main machine.

Good printer, but don''t count on HP to help you out if you find yourself in a jam.

The DVD that came with the product would not load the drivers. Same error several times with varied settings.

However, they were still very easy to install on a Win7 network.

1. Plug it into the network using a regular LAN cable.

2. DO NOT allow windows to autoinstall a driver or use the CD''s driver. It will be very slow. Instead download the PCL 6 driver package from HP''s website.

3. If one network computer is always on, then you did not need to install the PCL software on other computers, only on that one, and enable sharing of that printer. Other computers can then automatically print to it using the generic windows print driver. Otherwise, install the PCL software on each workgroup computer.

After 7 months of heavy use I am impressed by its speed and quality. It is clearly well made and packaged.

The LCD screen and menu is small but hi-res and well-organized.

Made in Japan! Having purchased 5 laser printers or all-in-ones in the past 3 years, __you get what you pay for.__ There are NO real printer deals, and buying used is a huge risk.

One thing about HP Laserjet quality: My old office had multiple 10-year-old HPs that survived daily use and used mainly off-brand ink replacements.

So far I have only had jamming issues when using a sheet of labels. Doing this also ruined the nearly new $40 off brand toner cartridge in the product. I suggest using another product for printing sheets of labels.

In retrospect, I should have purchased the duplex version of this product for an extra $200. But I am still very satisfied at the very fast and high quality printing.

One or two random issues have come up with this, and while I had to wait a while on hold, I was able to get free and knowledgeable telephone service.

I am completely satisfied with this printer. It is fast, reliable, and easy to set up. Highly recommend it!

This is a much better solution for my home office than the old color all-in-one it replaced.

Overall, I am satisfied.

The pros:

The paper feeder works very well, it is fast and no jamming so far.

No more manual feeding or missing pages.

Fast scanning. Very impressive when large document has to be scanned.

Fast printing

Double-sided printing saves paper

Takes USB dongles, instead of memory cards. I love it.

This is B/W only. For color printing, I have a color laser printer.

The Cons:

The printer will only allow an exchange server and not a web based email

to scan to email. I use gmail and am disappointed. For security,

gmail supports TLS, this printer only supports SSL. Would give a FIVE if

Dell fixes this problem.

I did not expect the memory and hard drive arrive separately.

Even with short cuts, I have to press 4 keys to send a fax instead of

2 or 3 keys with the old one.

It can be used in most ANY pigment or dye-based printer; I use it in my Canon Pro9000 Mark II. The specs for this HP-branded paper are exactly the same as the Hahnemuhle Albrech Duerer paper. I was a little hesitant about using a "watercolor" paper, but my fears quickly subsided after the very first print, which was a color landscape shot of my daughters'' wedding with trees foreground and a lake background with the couple facing away. I have since printed many color and B&W 13X19 prints with amazing clarity and saturation...this is my "go to" paper for projects needing that xtra-special touch. We have used this particular printer for several years. The print quality is pretty good and the speed is very good. Purchased this laser printer (with network card) for our home, not business, in 2003. A networked laser printer makes printer sharing much easier than using Windows Print Sharing.

We''ve used it on a nearly daily basis, a couple of pages/day, and we''re still on the first toner. Printing speed is great, and we have experienced no problems with the printer. We haven''t found a need for upgrading the memory or paper tray capacity.

If you don''t need a multifunction device (fax/printer/scanner/etc), and just need good-and-fast black and white printing, a laser printer is the way to go. Inkjets are cheaper initially, but we would wear out our inkjets after only 6 months or less. This laser printer is going after 2 years, with the original toner cartridge!

Beware when the rollers melt in this printer, get prepared to buy a new one because it can''t be fixed unless by Hewlett Packard. The problem with these printers as I said before is that this product has a defect. My 540 HP printer still works after 11 years. In that printer, I have used paper that is 20 years old, stapled, and used before without any problem. If it jams, I can always pull it out without permanently damaging this printer. Unlike the 1300n, I have seen melted rollers and it is very difficult to repair without spending more money on it than I have too. But my workplace has only these printers and they are the biggest waste of money unless your employers want you not to use less paper and print less. So think about and a laser jet cartridge costs about $150.00 too. I''ll stick with the inkjet like my 540.

I bought this printer to serve a workgroup. It worked fine until I added the optional 500 page paper tray. When using the optional paper tray it misfeeds all of the time so, I finally discarded the optional paper tray, placed the printer in a lower duty area, and bought an HP printer where I needed multiple paper trays. The OKI works fine for limited use.

This printer is probably the most economical to print, rated at ~1.2 cent/ page when using their high capacity 10k cartridge. I felt that it also prints very fast, and I assume that''s because it uses LED arrays rather than laser. The resolution, although claimed to be 1200x1200, is probably not as good as regular laser printer with similar specs. This is most apparent if the documents involve any kind of graphic and/or if the electronic version of your document has any color other than black and white. On the other hand, if you only want to print documents that are black and white text, this printer is perfect.

I order this roll paper for an HP 110 printer with a roll feed. I cut it to size (24" wide max) on a chop saw. The roll of paper acts like a log in regards to the saw (because paper rolls are essentially logs anyway). This way I get really good paper cheap.

I''ve bought a lot of rolls from this seller. Free shipping seals the deal for me. The paper very inexpensive (in cost, not quality) and the free shipping brings the cost to a very low level.

Shipping is always on time, the product is always in excellent shape. Very happy with Essex for this HP roll paper. Will continue to buy from Essex and highly recommend others needing high quality roll paper at an excellent price point to shop Essex.

Canon MP620 Wireless All-in-One Photo Printer

Canon MP620 Wireless All-in-One Photo Printer
  • ChromaLife100 system delivers vibrant photos that last up to 300 years
  • Maximum 9600 x 2400 dpi with microscopic droplets as small as 1 picoliter using FINE technology
  • Operate your printer within seconds after power-on with Quick Start
  • Enhanced "Auto Photo Fix" easily removes red-eye
  • Self-operating paper output tray automatically opens when printing or copying

The Cannon MP620 all in one is a great product. It was easy to set up. It has wireless capabilities, but you will need other equipement to do so depending on your home system. ie. blue tooth or router etc. It prints quietly and the quality of print is great. It does print slower than other printers, but that isn''t a concern for my needs. I love the on board screen that you can easily navigate to print, fax, copy, scan, send to documents etc. It looks good especially for a home office. The paper is loaded in the bottom tray, so it isn''t exposed giving in a clean-lines appearance. It also has a small footprint which is amazing thinking of all it does. You can close the output tray when not in use. If you forget to open it for printing, it opens itself. It has 5 inkwells, so the ink is more cost effective. I will say since it is a newer product, so you may not find the ink just anywhere yet. It is also confusing which ink goes with it. It takes Cannon CLI 221 magenta, black, yellow, cyan and a larger PGI 220 black ink cartriges. The 221 are about $12 each and the 220 is about $15. You can get multi packs to save some too. All in all I am very happy with the product.

This printer is meant to be a general-purpose printer for us. While I do not have the experience to compare this with other recently made photo printers, I will say that the photo I did print with it looked much better then any other home printed photo I have done with the "photo printers'' we have had. The reason for this review is to praise it for connecting to my home network with ease. Wireless setup was truly amazingly easy with this printer!

When the wife wanted to take our printing wireless we had shopped the local electronics stores. Unfortunately, the MP620 or any other wireless printers from Canon were not available at any of them so we decided on an HP product. Forty-five minutes on the phone with tech support, an exchange of that printer for another, and 1 1/2 more hours on the phone with tech support and it was still not working wirelessly! In came this MP620 from Amazon and 10 minutes later it was working perfectly on our home network!!

Earlier this year I bought the HP C8180 Photosmart All In One, which prints some great pictures, but is so slow on spooling the first page of a print and makes so much noise it was driving me crazy. It took nearly 30 seconds to start printing, using the wireless connection. Before you say I''m being picky, imagine being in a rush to get out the door and needing to print off an important document. You hit the print button and the printer just sits there silent, starring back at you with that vacant look in its eyes. At this point for me I start pulling out the few hairs left on my head and then suddenly it starts making all of the annoying little sounds it makes and checking the picture tray for paper adding so much more wasted time until it finally hits the main paper tray and starts shooting out papers. Finally I gave up on it and bought this printer last week because Canons previous model (Canon Pixma MP610) had such great reviews and the few this one (Canon MP620) had were very positive. After setup, which I''ll touch on later, I printed some test documents using the wireless connection and the Canon printer spooled in less than 2 seconds after hitting the print button and thank Canon it makes very little noise through the whole process. The documents print great and the pictures are remarkable. I seriously love this printer, maybe some of it had to do with my loathe for my previous printer, but I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a new printer. Anyone looking for a used printer give me a hollar at... lol j/k.I gave the HP to my parents they don''t really care about the speed and noise issues.

So for the setup.

I work with electronics a lot and knew I wouldn''t have a problem setting up this printer even after reading the reviews that said it was "too complex to setup" or skip the directions that come with it. So I followed the directions exactly and with the help of my three year old daughter I got this thing setup and printing with in a half hour or so. I swear I didn''t stray from the directions at all. It really isn''t difficult to setup so if that worries you just make sure you read through the instructions once or twice before you start messing with things.

The MP620 Cannon wireless printer works great and was pretty easy to set up wireless. Pictures look much better than my prior Cannon 2000. Watch out for Amazon''s "Frequently Bought Together" items with this printer. The ink cartriges sugested are WRONG! I had to send some back. The correct ones are the CLI-221 set of four color tanks and the separate PGI-220BK black tank.

Just received this printer. Had an HP all in one before which was ok except that the software was not ok. i set up this printer and was printing in just a few minutes. so far it is working very well. Beautiful color photos. Does make a bit of noise now and again when starting or warming up but they say that its normal. One thing is that it is quite large. I like the idea that it has a separate closed print tray for regular paper in front and a photo paper tray at back top. so everything can be kept closed for dust not to enter. The door you collect your printed paper from automatically opens if you forget to open it...

How can you get excited about a paper tray? Although there''s nothing to get excited about, this paper tray is easy to install and works just as designed. Simply set the printer on it and configure 1 button in the printer setup and you''re done. I would highly recommend the 550-sheet tray over the 250-sheet tray. I originally purchased the smaller one and found myself refilling it frequently. Get the larger one. It''s worth a little extra money and doesn''t take up much more space at all.

This drawer was purchased to be used with a Lexmark E260dn network laser printer. It has performed well, was easy to install, and we have had no issues with it. It has allowed us to reduce the number of times we need to fill with paper vs number of print jobs. It holds a full ream of paper (500 sheets) plus approx 50 more. I would say that the cost of it is worth it even though it is nearly as expensive as the printer itself.

I have used HP laser printers for many years. However, I have heard comments (even from techs) about the newer HP printers not being the same quality, and I was really upset when I had to retire a perfectly good HP laser printer because HP does not choose to provide updated Windows 7 drivers for printers just over 5 years old. I ended up choosing the Lexmark E460dn printer. It is very cost effective, and seems to work very well in my small office environment. I did have to upgrade the firmware to deal with some weird issues, but the Lexmark support was very responsive and helpful -even walking me through the install on the phone. The biggest drawback is that the printer''s standard paper bin holds less than a ream of paper. I ended up ordering this expansion drawer for the printer that does hold one ream. While the cost of the extra tray is in the same range as the printer itself at discount, the total cost was still reasonable compared to other choices I reviewed.

The tray installed very easily (just set the printer on it), and it has worked fine for me since. The printer recognized it without any action on my part. I occasionally have a little trouble seating the new ream of paper in the tray because the edge of the stack of paper is tapered in the tray and somewhat hard to reach. However, that is not a big drawback, and probably would not be an issue at all if I changed the paper more often. The tray expands out the back of the printer so that it can hold legal size paper when I need that.

This tray makes the E460dn printer much more convenient.

HP 5500 Color LaserJet Printer

HP 5500 Color LaserJet Printer
  • 600 x 600 dpi resolution, 400 MHz processor, 96 MB RAM
  • 21 ppm in monochrome and color, just 18 seconds to first page out
  • Optional input capacity of 1,600 sheets
  • Bidirectional parallel port, Fast Infrared (FIR) port
  • Network options with 3 open EIO slots

This printer is amazing. The color LaserJet 5500HDN model comes with (3) 500 sheet trays + a 100 Page multipurpose tray. It comes with a network card,HD,Duplexor and a stand to roll the printer around. It is capable of printing up to 11x17 paper and custom sizes. This printer was very easy to assemble ( less then 10 minutes) and was on the network in seconds. Color matching is superb. It was able to print very demanding documents in short order. It really prints at 21PPM in full color. I printed over 500, full bleed 11x17 prints in just over 3 hours. This is like printing 2000 sheets of 8x11 at a speed of 11.3 PPM. This really tested the printer''s endurance and its calibration cycle. It surprised me how easy it was to install the toner cartridges. I haven''t experienced a paper jam yet, but if I did, there is a small path to follow to locate jams, and easily remove paper. There aren''t 14 secret doors to open to remove paper. It really has done a good job handling the work load I put to it. This is a REALLY good office printer. It has done a tremndously good job on printing corporate logos. This is important because it can handle the most demanding color changes with out banding or stressing. I was surprised at how acurate the images I printed out were, that I had described previously. When I looked at my first document and then looked at the last document, the color accurace was 100% consistant through out it''s printing cycle. This printer has been the best performing color laser I have ever used. This has my highest recommendations !

The HP 5500 is a great tabloid (11x17) printer. Very good speed and color. Have had no problems. Print speed is as advertised. Toner cartridges hold plenty of toner though they are expensive. Black and white printing is also great.

Machine is rugged. Buttons and trays are well built. LCD infomation screen is readable and easy to understand.

My model has the extra tray and stand with duplexer and network card. I do not have a hard-drive in my model. Memory is ample for printing tabloid size photos, engineering drawings, and documents. Lengthy letter size documents are no problem. Have not had a single time-out. Another HP winner.

I have had an HP 5500 Color LaserJet printer for 6 years. There is very little that this printer can not do! Love the ability to print 11 x 17 and wide variety of paper types. The toners are expensive but last a long time. The print quality is superb and the speed makes quick work of any project I have. Large paper tray and easy to access bypass tray. I would keep this printer forever but space and needs are making me look for a multi function printer. This is a great printer for a graphic artist, school, or anyone that demands high quality color printing. You will not be disappointed. Be aware that it is a pretty good sized piece of equipment.HP 5500 Color LaserJet Printer

Purchased this printer over a year ago.... started printed 5-6 pages at once with jibberish on the first page only. Called Tech Support, was told the only that can be done was to buy a new printer since it was a mechanical problem. Apparently Dell is only making products that last a year. Will never buy from them again.

POS printer.. I''ve had this for a few years and I''m throwing it away. Print quality was never as good as an ink jet. Duplex printing worked the first time and then jams from now on.

Dell discontinued this almost as soon as it was produced.

When my HP printer finally croaked after three years of use, I did a great deal of research on printers as the ink costs can be prohibitive. I read a great number of reviews on Brother''s quality and very competitive ink prices, and have been very satisfied. There are definitely savings to be recognized by this brand over HP!

Safco Wave Under Desk Printer Stand Save 42% off

Safco Wave Under Desk Printer StandThis is a nice printer stand. I wanted one that could be rolled under my desk and this works perfectly. However, it seems a little overpriced and I never could figure out how to "snap" it together. So far, though, it hasn''t fallen apart so maybe that part of the instructions was unnecessary.

I am very happy with this stand. It is the right size for under my desk and for my HP all-in-one photo printer. It has wheels that work smoothly on my hardwood floor and rug. It''s got that shelf area for easy storage of my printing supplies. It only gave it 4 stars because I had a little hiccup when trying to assemble. Not that it is difficult but the parts could have been better aligned since I had to really struggle with one aspect of it and almost sent it back. It comes with the standard set of visual "greek/IKEA" instructions which one has to interpret too but that seems to be what you get for everything these days.

I should have read all the reviews more carefully. I figured I could easily put together something like this...No way. The directions are terrible. The product would not snap together. I tried for at least an hour. Talk about frustrating. Amazon should consider not carrying this product anymore, and I would return it if I did not need something now. I read a review where someone taped it together. I did that but it looks incredibly tacky and not like something I paid $42 for. I hardly ever right reviews, but I really had to write a warning of this product.
