This is very high-quality paper with pleasant hand-feel, but it''s also a little too light and there''s a glaring watermark 6" wide on every sheet. It''s so apparent that it''s distracting, even if you aren''t holding the paper to light. Don''t take my word for it, this is the standard (and only) linen paper at Office Max and Office Depot, check it out for yourself. If my document is so important to merit linen paper, a prominent advertising mark is the last thing I want on it. ''Neenah Paper 05221'' is functionally identical at a lower price and with a smaller, more subtle watermark.

I have used this fine paper for lots of important documents. Resumes, business proposals, thesis paper, final reports, and even for more important work reports. 24lb is perfect almost all applications that I have come across. The only downside that I can find to this paper is the fact that the "Southworth" trademark watermark is not in the same spot on every page. Most were centered very nicely but a few sheets were positioned towards the bottom and some even having the last bit cut off on the bottom. It''s nitpicking but to some people this may be a problem. The watermark is also very noticeable on some pages and on others not so much. Hold the paper to the light and you can see the mark but put the paper on a darker surface and it stands out like a sore thumb.

The tape is actually in two parts; a clear "background" on which the white letters are imprinted. The problem with this cassette is that the clear portion does not always line up correctly with the opening and either the white lettering is not centered or the tape jams inside the cassette. I have had many rolls of tape go through this printer and this is the first problem I have encountered with this type of tape.

There were no reviews when I ordered this, so I was apprehensive. I didn''t want to waste my money on unofficial ink or ruin my time clock. So far, so good. The Lexmark e321 is fast and cheap, but those are the only good things about this diabolically mediocre piece of engineering. It''s unsuitable for high-volume printing because it lacks a large paper capacity, so you''re constantly feeding this thing paper. Worse, if you don''t put the paper in exactly right it grabs three or four sheets at a time and jams up fairly regularly. The text is poor to passable but figures are murky. Personally I don''t think the few bucks you might save are worth all the hassle and inconvenience that come with such a sub-par product. Undying, everlasting hatred does not sum up the extent to which I loathe the Lexmark E321.

I purchased this all-in-one printer for use in my home office. I also own the Epson R3000 photo printer and have found that particular printer extremely reliable. I purchased the 435 for the purpose of printing simple documents, mostly in black ink. I have only owned the printer for a few days and have already decided it will go back to Amazon. First: while easy to set up, once set up the printer seems incapable of maintaining consistent communication with the computer. I completely abandoned the idea of wireless printing and set up direct communication using a shielded USB cable. Even then, communication remains an issue. The printer will read "online", accept a printing job, print one page and then state that the printer is off line and that communication cannot be established. This has continued despite much troubleshooting and the replacement of the original USB cable with a second cable.

The most frustrating part of this printer is trying to deal with Epson. On their technical support request page you are prompted to enter the model number of the unit. Once you do this, the system takes you to the enter information and reason for needing support. At this point, the system enters your model number automatically. However, for unclear reasons, this model number field cannot be edited and once you enter the rest of your service request information and hit the "submit" button, the system rejects your submission stating that you have not entered the model number. However, the same system will not permit you to alter the model number that the system itself entered into that field. In short there is no way of bypassing what appears to be a broken or poorly designed help needed submission page.

Although this is an inexpensive printer, I would suggest considering another brand printer/all-in-one. Sometimes manufactures such as Epson producing high end and low-end products fail to use consistent quality throughout their product lines. I suspect Epson may be trying to reduce productions costs by cutting the quality and support for their lower end products.

THIS IS THE WORST PRINTER I''VE EVER USED!!

Now that I''ve owned the printer for a month or so, I have to say that this is positively the WORST printer ever sold!! Epson used to make very good quality printers, but if this is an example of how they now make their products, trust me RUN AWAY! I have managed to print exactly 5 pages of documents and now the black ink tank is empty! Of-course, in order to get those five pages printed, it took me hours because the printer never prints anything the first time and then, if and when it finally prints, the documents are extremely poor quality. The printer no longer even prints without dragging the document through the printer, thus smearing all the ink and presenting a document that is messy and unreadable.

The worst part of this printer is the lack of support or even response to support request to Epson. I have sent numerous e-mails, placed numerous telephone calls and even sent two postal mail letters requesting help and have never received as much as a "go to hell" response from Epson. As stated above (in the initial review) I also own the Epson R3000 photo printer. I am in the process of purchasing a second photo printer and have decided that this printer will NOT be an Epson. They are known for making exceptional quality photo printers, but after this incredible experience, I do not choose to do business with the Company again.

If you use this with a mac be sure to download the driver from the website and not the one on the disc that it comes with it. This printer works decently. It prints quickly and scans fairly quickly. The top loaded automatic scanner/copier sometimes get''s james if you only load one piece of paper in it at a time. It works better with a small stack of papers. For mac users you will have to use the scanning software that came with your mac like Image Capture or Preview. All-in-all it''s a decent printer. I would defiantly buy it if I had a windows computer. I might shop around some more if I get another one for a mac computer.

setup is super easy but the paper handling is awful. both the paper feeder and the automatic document feeder jam not infrequently.

I never leave reviews I just would hate to see someone in the same situation I am right now. I have somewhere to be, need to print something to take with me, but now if I want the print out I need to run to the store first.

I am totally displeased with one aspect of this printer. When the printer feels that the ink is too low it will refuse to print anything!!!!!! I just replaced my black ink, I am trying to print in grey scale and it refuses to print until I replace two of the colors. I have looked for ways to over ride this, but have found nothing so far.

Also the draft printing is not even legible.

Got this printer today. It was very easy to set up. Good printing speed. Overall a great printer would recommend to a friend.

Would buy again.

We have our own BUSY medical practice, and own 5 of these. Didn''t know for the price how these would work initially--but what a steal! Bought this All-in-one printer to replace an older HP in our office; paid $500 new plus toner. Printer is noisy with every print, but print quality is fair. After less than 1000 prints the 2727 will no longer work. Spoke with HP and they gave option of 1)pay to ship it to/from a shop an hour away 2)pay to ship it to HP for a turnaround of 4-5 weeks 3)pay $70 for another printer to be mailed to me. After expressing frustration with such poor quality and even poorer options for support, they agreed to ship a refurbished model to me @ no cost. If I had the option, I would return it (or throw it in the trash.) As it is, they are holding my credit card hostage until I return the defective machine. Would not buy again. For that matter, I will be much more hesitant to buy HP in the future.

It does not state for BJC-85 but it is the correct battery pack or ask Dell for reassurance, I did! I have been very pleased with the print quality of such a small printer, even the graphics are great. For Word Processing that requires mostly black ink, use the large BCI-10 Ink Cartridge it is better than the small black tank you use with color printing. I have not been able to locate the Infrared Driver for it does anyone know where that can be acquired? I am more than pleased with this quality and size of this printer.

I have had this printer for almost four years now, and while it has saved my bacon on the road a number of times, it has also really let me down at some crucial moments. First, like a lot of older Canon printers, it is noisy and slow. It takes forever to get started on a page. But also like a lot of canons, when it is working right the output is beautiful.

But you cannot count on finding ink cartridges for this printer on the road. It also has a weird and unpleasant ink cartridge system which includes two very different little trays, and three different kinds of tank.

But what made me finally leave the thing in a hotel room was its tendency to get halfway through a print job and jam or inexplicably give an error signal. I have spent hours trying to get a clean copy of a single transparency. Very frustrating.

I traveled to India on business, where just plugging something in was quite the adventure, so when I pulled this little gizmo out of my suitcase (where it took up almost no room), attached it to my laptop, and heard the whir of it going into action ... well, I almost wept. Another piece of junk disguised as a portable printer! (Read my review of the HP 350 portable.) On this unit, the paper feed mechanism failed after 3 months -repaired under warranty. Last week it stopped putting ink down at my client''s facility (really embarrassing). It spite of "5 deep cleanings," a new catridge, and 5 more deep cleanings the printer would only print blank pages.
