Laser Transparency Computer Graphics Film

Laser Transparency Computer Graphics Film, Clear, 8 1/2 x 11, 50/Box
  • Sale Unit: BOX

I bought these transparencies to print out art grids, and the toner, both from a cheap Samsung laser printer and a high-end HP, bound to the film well. And, perhaps most importantly, the transparency didn''t melt in the printer, so it is indeed fit for laser.

These do just what you think they would.

Put them in the laser printer and print out transparencies.

I bought them because of the price and I would buy them again.

I use a lot of this product and have for many years. Highlaand laser film is a great buy and has always done exactly as advertised. It gives crisp clear images every time.

Very inexpensive product, but totally fine.

I have already used 3 or 4 boxes since November, all ordered from this seller.

Each time I ordered it, it arrived promptly and in ready-to-use condition.

I definitely recommend.

I looked at all of the laser printers and inkjet. Every article says there is nothing like an inkjet. I can tell you for a fact that they are wrong!! There is no comparison at all when printed on plain paper; this HP LaserJet 3550 is the best!! When printed on gloss paper a great inkjet is better but not by much at all. Meaning you will not need an inkjet unless you already have one. I read all the articles on all brands (OKI, Samsung, HP, Lexmark, Brother, Ricoh, Minolta, Panasonic, etc...) (trust me I spent 2+ weeks reading) of laser printers. I sent (and paid) for samples only to find out that the HP LaserJet printers (3500, 3550, 3700) produce the best output (B&W, color, and photo) and they only have 600*600 res., which goes to show you resolution means nothing (at least with HP)!!

This HP 3550 printer is fast and produced the best photos I have seen on any laser printer (no banding also!). Power consumption is low, it is Quiet for a laser, and of course it is bigger than an inkjet or a cheap (slow) color laser (that is why it is FAST) (they do sell cheaper, smaller, slower models). Trust me it is not that big in size (at least for what it does). HP does not put in half toner cartridges like others (Minolta, etc...). The only thing it could have is a duplex option, but it does a great job a manual duplex. I just can not say anything bad, I was very hesitant about buying a color laser but am very happy with this and am glad I did not go with any of the other brands (especially after getting in my samples of other printers) you will not regret this purchase!!!!! I have the LaserJet 3550n.

I have the HP Color Laserjet 3550. Straight off the bat let me state that this printer is big. When I say big, I mean big. When it was delivered I was astonished at the size of the box and after unpacking it I spend a few minutes taking in its size. I then realized that it was taller than I anticipated, even though the dimensions quoted in my prepurchase research were accurate. Seeing is believing. Despite the size, it is well designed and infact, beautifully made.

Setup of the printer and toners was extremely easy, and the installation of drivers was okay. After following the instructions given in the setup guide, the installation process stopped on my PC for no apparent reason. I eventually restarted the pc with the setup cd in the machine AND the printer connected to the pc and everything sorted itself out perfectly.

When I did my first print (the printer''s demo page) and saw the quality on plain copy paper, I knew that I had made the right decision on purchasing the HP LaserJet 3550. So far, I am extremely pleased with this printer. I run a home-based desktop publishing business, and this printer has handled everything I have thrown at it without problems business cards, labels, flyers, invoices, etc. As DonF said in his review, you will not regret this purchase!!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised with this color laserjet. I previously had the HP 4550, which was (is) the most disappointing color laser printers (at 4ppm and outrageously expensive ink drum). I was a little skeptical about the capabilities of the 3550, but with a little research online and testing at local computer stores, I decided to go with the 3500 (actually, I got the 3550n with networking). It did not come with a network card (like the 4550), but it did come with a USB network print server (which I like better anyway).

It boasts 16ppm for color (which is faster than my old one), but only 16ppm for b&w text (which is slow compared to my HPLJ 2420 at 25ppm). Others boast a fast 25ppm color and b&w text (Lexmark C762) but for twice the price. The comparable Lexmark unit is the C510, which prints 30ppm text, but a slow 8ppm color. This is why I went for the HP.

I will have to say that my inkjet printers (HP and Epson) can print better photo-quality than this printer, but that is a given. The 3550 was not designed to print on photo paper.

I purchased the 3550 about 6 months ago for over $1K, but I think you can get it for about $800 nowadays.

Summary: Text printing is fine (but slow), and color printer is fast (but crummy). I''ve had some people either like or hate the printer for its capabilities, but everyone unanimously agreed it is a monster size. So, if you have the space, I highly recommend this color laserjet printer.

Pros:

-excellent text quality

-very fast color printer (though not the fastest, but can hold its own against lexmark)

-easy to use; html toolbox user interface

Cons:

-HUGE footprint; I had to get a separate printer table for it because it would have taken up my work desk

-relatively slow all-text printing

-manual duplexing (similar to my HP Laserjet 2420)

-some issues with the color graphics; though good enough for home printing, I would not use it for business printing

I absolutely love this printer! Yes, it is big, but it is a work horse. As a business teacher, I print a lot of documents from a variety of applications. I have been using the printer heavily for the past month since the start of school and it has not jammed once!! I''ve printed labels, card stock, and used the manual duplex feature as well. I also love the HP software that activates as I attempt to use various features. It took me about one hour to have everything up and running smoothly when it arrived. I''ve read some reviews that indicate that printing is slow. Compared to the inkjet Lexmark that I had before, this printer is a dream. I highly recommend it for home use.

Well, maybe buy if all you are doing is printing from Office. This printer uses a host based driver that doesn''t work well with non-Office products. I am trying to print from a financial program and it won''t work. I contacted HP and was told politely "too bad". With host based drives, if it doesn''t work, you''re just stuck.

If you need it to be HP make sure it doesn''t have a host based driver. The HP tech recommended a refurbed 2550 otherwise you''ll have to go with the large printers starting with the 4700 series. One last time stay away from anything with host based drivers.

I''ve purchased the product several times and in the past I would have given it 5 stars.

However, this latest shipment was a bit different from past ones. The card don''t separate well in the latest shipment; the perforations don''t seem deep enough. Also, one side is glossy/plastic and it peels where the perforations aren''t complete.

So, the last shipment is almost unacceptable. The prior were excellent. My rating of 2 stars is a compromise.

I could buy a brand new color laser printer for the price of replacing all the toner cartridges, even at Amazon "discount" prices, this is absurd. I have a Drum replacement warning light now as well. Once the Drum is expired I will buy a new printer instead of a new Drum. Not very green of me, a shame, the printer still works fine, but HP really sticks it to you on the price of expendables.

I don''t know who is packing this stuff, but EVERY ream has arrived with the outer wrapping completely destroyed! Even the box that had 4 reams in it with the manufacturer''s logo all over the box; each ream was trashed on the inside. The paper is all still usable, but how hard is it to either package this stuff better or improve the quality of the wrapper? It makes it very difficult to store the reams when they are falling out of their wrapper.

I wouldn''t say this is great paper, but very good paper. It is bright white, fairly heavy and sturdy and has a medium smooth surface. I was hoping after looking at the online information at the Domtar site that the surface would be very smooth as they list it as having a smoothness of 60, which is a very low number. The main problem was the paper cover containing the ream was torn very badly and wasn''t even protecting the paper. There were pieces of tape on tears in the paper cover, which held up, so it seems the ream had been damaged but was sold as new. I reported the problem and asked for a $5 partial refund. The $5 was refunded and most of the paper is usable. I also asked that information regarding selling damaged goods on Amazon was passed along so that this wouldn''t happen again. About 10 sheets on one side of the ream had a knife cut in the center and many have damaged corners.

I''ve have this cartridge for over 2 years now and have changed the ink tanks about 4 or 5 times. Then, all of a sudden, tha damn thing doesn''t print any blue. I tried everything I could think of to try to save it, and nothing works. Now I''m forced to spend almost another $... to buy a new cartridge just for the ink head. That .... Canon better get their stuff together and start making products that last. Or else they''re gonna lose even more customers.

Want Canon BC-21e 4-Color Ink Cartridge 0899A003 Discount?

Canon makes things that look good in the store, seem reasonable on the price, but when you take them home, they fall apart. Such is the case with the BC-21e cartridge. This thing cost as much as the printer itself, and mine FAILED after only 3 replacements. I don''t abuse my equipment. I use it for normal tasks. Canon''s product was just not ready for regular use.

It would be nice if most people are as fortunate as the last reviewer, who has been able to use this past 5 ink-cartridge changes. Unfortunately, from my experience, I think that''s more the exception to the rule.

Stay away from Canon. It''s a roll of the dice that you are probably going to end up losing.

I''ve had a Canon BJC 5000 for several years and have been very pleased with both it''s performance and it''s printing capabilities. This wide format printer (Canon replaced it in their product line with the BCJ 5100) prints awesome photos, from large (11 x 14) to small (4 x 6). The printer''s only drawback is the cost of the ink cartridges and the fact that they are not individually replaceable. I recently had a failure of the BJC 21e cartridge but ended up buying another printer before I discovered that the printer was fine and that it was only the print head that had failed. A new BJC 21e is all that was necessary to get the printer up and running again. I am please as punch with the printer and, since this should be a review of the BJC 21e cartrige, I find Canon Ink cartridge products second to none!! ps. Another reviewer mentioned loud noises and rumbling when she turned her printer on ... if the printer is plugged into an "always live" outlet, these noises should not occur, and never have with my BCJ 5000. pps. I''ve replaced the BJC 21 and BCJ 21c in excess of 15 times and have only now (several years later) found the need to replace the whole BJC 21e.

I use this artist canvas on my B9180(which I am now on my fourth one, and have written reviews on). As I have said, when this printer works, it prints very nice images and the artist canvas is no exception. I enjoy printing on this canvas very much and it produces great results with wonderfully saturated colors(once you apply the glossy spray or brush on enamel finish you should on any canvas print)and striking black and white images after finishing. If you have an HP wide format printer that is able to print on canvas, give it a try. Printing on canvas is a very rewarding, higher quality endeavour that not just any pro photographer is willing to tackle, and very few ametuers will attempt.

  • Print and copy at speeds up to 27 ppm in color, 31 ppm in black & white
  • HD color printing technology for outstanding print and copy quality
  • Scan at the machine or from your desk

Pros: Good price, quality output

Cons: Somewhat noisy. Complex software.

Overall: Owned now for six weeks and so far very impressed. This is the third laser MFP I''ve owned. It replaced a Brother color laser MFP which was a poor performer and which went in the bin after two years ($1,200 wasted).

Good points: Great price. Excellent color photo output. Not as a good as a photo inkjet on photo paper but far better than anything else I''ve seen. Output has a sheen to it which I like. Speed is good and it doesn''t take long for the first print from cold (half the time of the Brother). It has a power save button which can put it into or take it out of power save mode; this is a surprisingly useful feature.

Scans fast uses a LED lamp so there''s no waiting for a cold cathode tube to heat up. Scans are good quality. Scanner is a duplex/reversing type a feature I use a lot. Original toner cartridges and parts appear to be about the same price as other brands. I do a lot of booklet printing it does this well and on 150 GSM card too.

Cons: Instruction manual is appalling so it is somewhat difficult to set up. I eventually got it going more or less how I wanted but it took an afternoon. Some odd software quirks which you get used to but remain slightly annoying For example to scan to your PC you can''t just open your PC program Adobe, Photoshop, &c. You first have to press SCAN on the printer control panel then scroll through to `Scan to remote PC''. After a few minutes this defaults back to copy so if you have further scanning you have to go back to the printer control panel. I haven''t yet worked out how to set up a default fax cover page.

It''s somewhat noisy when heating up and printing. Doesn''t worry me but some might find it too much. There is fan noise when on standby but it stops when it goes into power save mode.

Summary this is a great small office printer with a lot of advanced features and high quality output. Downside is confusing instructions and quirky software.

All features worked though not at the level expected. The colors were not as true as desired. We bought this to replace and old Dell that was working properly but the cost of replacing the toner was more than the printer was worth. Which is becoming true for almost all sub $600 printers.

The good, its compact and fast. Easy installation and pretty quiet operation. Single button to select to copy in black or color.

The bad.. its a nightmare on envelopes, wrinkles them. Also the Multipurpose Feeder Tray is finicky. The colors did not match our colors in any of our previous publications. Even after making adjustments it was not good.

Overall thought the system worked but not for our needs. If we didn''t use it for publications then it might not be an issue, but we do and also the envelope thrashing was bad. For those reasons we returned it.

Allsop 27873 Metal Desktop Printer/Monitor Stand, 19 x 12 1/2 x 6, Pewter Save 49% off

Allsop 27873 Metal Desktop Printer/Monitor Stand, 19 x 12 1/2 x 6, PewterAfter lots of searching on Amazon and at my local IKEA, I bought two of these for my desk. I have a very long, fairly wide flat desk which was always messy. Now since these look so sleek and have given me different levels to put stuff on I am inspired by the look and functionality and keep my desk nice and clear. My husband and I joke that I now have the sexiest desk in the country! :-) I use one for my printer and one for my flat screen monitor. Unlike a lot of products you have the top level, the middle raised level, then your desk underneath making the lowest level. The middle raised level has a little lip on the back of it which I like. One of the motivations for getting this is I switched to using a mac mini we bought used on ebay. The mac mini and a external extra hard drive both fit well on the middle raised level, and my monitor is on the top level, so it looks very nice. I had hoped that my basic mac keyboard could be stored on the very bottom level which is really the desk when not in use, but the keyboard is an inch or two too wide. I already have a clear hard acrylic cover for my keyboard (to keep my cats from barfing on it at night) so that''s OK. Yes the color of this item is sort of a matte silver with a faint hint of olive but I don''t really care. It will not be the exact color of the mac mini but who cares. I am not a huge fan of metal things and prefer wood, but these are strong and practical and look great so they won me over. Also all the holes in them will probably help to keep my electronics cool so that''s another winning point. For the one w/the printer on top I have a journal & a few things I need to file on the middle level, then my appointment book on the lowest level which is really just my desk but it looks put away there rather then just sitting anywhere on my desk. It never occured to me to get something to elevate my monitor to improve my posture, but it really does encourage me to hold my neck and back more straight. Oh one more thing the shipping was nice and fast, plus they come all put together so you just take it out of the box & inner bag and voila!

I was having trouble with adjusting the height of my monitor so that I didn''t get neck pain. I bought this stand and it is perfect for my LCD monitor. It solved my neck pain problem. A big boost is that the treys allow for removing a bunch of clutter from my desktop.

I highly recommend it it: It''s sturdy and stable, provides lots of storage space for staplers, glasses, pens, mail etc and it looks quite attractive to my eye.

This is listed as a monitor/printer stand, but I bought it to hold my laptop.

I recently bought a high-performance laptop to replace my aging and failed desktop. I needed something that I could easily remove the laptop from and could hold the 24" monitor on my corner desk. Space is absolutely at a premium in my office setup, so this stand was a long time coming.

The upper part of the tray holds my laptop when it''s at my desk and the space left underneath my laptop provides air for circulation and a space for any paperwork I may be working with. It''s really perfect for my needs. I can continue to use my full size keyboard and mouse while the laptop is at my desk, and actually display my laptop neatly in the stand.

The stand also holds a 24" Dell LCD monitor with no problem.

If you have a set up like mine, do not hesitate to get this stand.

  • Automatic 2-sided printing; 32-bit RISC processor with video controller
  • USB 2.0, parallel, 10/100 BaseT Ethernet interfaces

I bought this machine about 1 month ago for my home office. I print contracts, send/recieve many FAXes, require legal size paper handling and needed a good copier that can handle 40-60 pages in the auto-feed tray. I also wanted two paper trays that could hold a lot of paper. I tried one of the lower end HP (7100?something) and it was .. let''s just say a bad experience.

In a nutshell, this multi feature product seems to work well for what I need. If you run a home business, put it away from you because it''s warm until it goes into energy-save mode. You can program the time-out period, so that''s cool. It''s also loud when printing, so make sure you aren''t bothering anyone when working from home at night or in the morning.

The scanning software isn''t very good. it comes with the PaperPort program as well as OmniPage both programs I haven''t used before. The scanning requires that you place the document in the auto-feeder tray and not on the glass itself. I don''t like that because it can scan "crooked" if it doesn''t feed perfectly. Also, note the following:

The output tray deposits docs to the left, but loads to the right.

The cords (USB, power, printer-cable, phone jack) are on the left side of the machine and NOT on the back more convenient from my perspective.

This machine is expensive $2,200+ when adding the optional second paper tray and a toner cartridge to replace the half-life one it comes with.

I don''t require network printing, but it does support that feature (M20i unit only). I connect via the USB port. It saw it immediately when I hooked up out of the BOX on my XP-based computer.

The Setup software seemed kind of "old" because MS XP (my OS) didn''t have drivers for this hardware. The scanning software that it comes with isn''t very good PaperPort, I believe. It''s just slow to run and not very user friendly. If you have another TWAIN program, plan on using it for the scanning function.

The USB cable is only 6 feet long, so plan on buying a 12-footer to move tha machine far enough away from your work area.

This machine is large and also heavy 50+ pounds. It''s much larger machine than the typical HP or Brother multi-function product offering (FAX/Print/Copy) that you''d buy at COMPUSA. For the record, I purchased this from an authorized dealer someone that "I KNEW" so I could get all over if I had a problem. Also, I had to buy a printer cart because this machine isn''t made to sit on your desk or even under it. If you have the two trays installed, you should know that it''s very tall when sitting on a normal size SoHo desk, so keep that in mind.

Bottom line it does what it was made for. It''s a heavy duty, small business copier that also sends/receives FAXes and scans.

Buy Xerox WorkCentre M20I Multifunction Printer Now

I have had this machine for over a year now. I agree with the previous reviewer that the scanning function should be improved. In addition to what he mentioned, if you have a small network, you cannot use the USB scan as it is not hooked directly to a computer. However, I was (eventually) able to configure the unit on my network so that I could basically e-mail documents to myself in PDF. Not the most convenient, but very doable once you get used to it. Doesn''t take me much longer than a USB scan would. I wanted this PDF capacity, in addition to larger volume, having graduated from an HP all-in-one at my small office. The machine does volume with no major problems. The only caveat is that you will have jams in the machine, like call copiers, especially if you use paper more than PDF''s or faxing. I get about 2 jams a year, which makes the maintenance contract worthwhile ($299/yr). Maintenance is VERY fast with the contract (recently less than two hours). Printer drivers installed fine at the outset, but then fell out after a system crash and were tricky to re-install. Technical support line was somewhat helpful with the printer driver issue, but it took a LOT of calls before I found someone good enough to talk me through the PDF to e-mail issue. I am pretty knowledgable, though not a hard core tecchie.
