HP 38 Cyan Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (C9415A) Save 17% off

HP 38 Cyan Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging
  • Print brilliant, true-to-life photos and fine-art prints with HP''s new pigment-based Vivera inks
  • Get precision color consistency and vivid, true-to-life hues
  • Produce affordable studio-quality photos
  • Cherish long-lasting color photos that resist fading for more than 200 years
  • Replace only the cartridges that runs out among eight individual colors

Five Stars because the HP 38 Cyan Pigment Ink Cartridge was shipped immediately and arrived promptly in good condition. If you use HP 38 ink in your printer, you must have all eight colors in the HP 38 series for your printer to operate properly, so price is a big consideration. Buying blind can cost you more for a complete set of inks, including more than one cartridge for the light gray and a couple of other colors that are used up faster than the others, than a new printer, and in fact I have heard of people that simply buy a new printer (of a different make) because it''s cheaper than the inks. Amazon has a selection of vendors, but be wary I recently picked the lowest price for each color, mostly from one vendor, and when I went to check out I found that this particular vendor charged $9 per cartridge for shipping and handling, making them the most expensive vendor on Amazon.

I stock up on inks only occasionally. The trigger event is when the warning light on the printer for a particular color comes on, and I don''t have that color ready to change. When that happens, I check out what I do have, flesh out what I need to have a complete set including two of light gray, light cyan, and light magenta, and order them all, usually on Amazon. I like genuine HP inks on Amazon because that''s where the price, Amazon Prime free shipping, vendor reliability, and prompt delivery all come together. I need genuine HP inks because I have this printer for studio-quality color prints and I depend on it for my most-invested hobby, and I don''t have the time or patience to deal with cartridges that require color re-calibration or don''t provide the color fidelity that I expect of an 8-ink printer, or that don''t last as long as HP 38 ink cartridges. One of the reasons that I selected this printer was the combination of quality prints, low cost per print, and long life of the ink cartridges, a rare combination.

I recommend genuine HP 38 inks to anyone with a printer that calls for these inks, and recommend Amazon.com as the first place to check for best price. You can depend on Amazon and their associated vendors to deliver the right product promptly every time.

Beware-just opened this cartridge to install (was not needed until now) and discovered that it arrived more than two years past its expiration date. HP excludes all warranties and service if installed out of date. I have written back to the vendor, but past my return window (let''s see what their response will be). Suggest opening package on arrival to confirm expiration dates, then resealing in plastic bag. This product was mis-represented by the vendor and deserves no stars.

HP 38 Cyan Pigment Ink Cartridge (C9415A) Purchased this ink for My B9180 Photosmart Pro Printer. It works beautifully, and installation is a snap. However, the price you pay for HP Ink is very high. I have recently switched to Kodak, and the cost is considerably less.

Pricey ink, but the cartridges produce vivid colors that LAST.

And I have to admit, the cartridges to last a while compared to other brands I''ve used.

All in all, I am please with it.

Gowrite Dry Erase Sheets (AS8511)

Gowrite Dry Erase Sheets, 8.5 X 11 Inches, White, 5 Sheets
  • Full adhesive back
  • Create dry erase board anywhere
  • Erases cleanly
  • Recyclable

My son used this sheet in his dorm room. He likes using a white board for math problems. This one worked since he couldn''t hang a traditional board on his dorm wall.

It came off the wall very easily at the end of the school year. Only problem is it may not be re-usable.

Would purchase again for the same purpose.

These sheets are genius. I''ve placed it on the back of a notebook to provide an easily accessible dry erase surface when I''m in a meeting and trying to brainstorm. I''ve made lightweight dry erase boards to put in my briefcase by placing these on mounting boards and trimming to a custom size.

If you''ve read The Back of the Napkin (Expanded Edition): Solving Problems and Selling Ideas with Pictures, these sheets provide a great tool for meetings and presentations.

The actual surface is just as good as any regular dry erase board and can be placed on numerous surfaces. Seriously, I really love this product.

I bought this product to use in my classroom. THe sheets hang on the wall outside my classroom and I use them to let the kids know what is happening that day before they come in. The paper erases well and doesnt leave marks behind. I also like how it had adhesive on the back so they just stick right up. I will plan to buy new ones next year.

Want Gowrite Dry Erase Sheets (AS8511) Discount?

These Gowrite Dry Erase Sheets offer numerous benefits that I really appreciate and enjoy. They are a perfect size, 8.5 x 11, the perfect weight, and they are pliable yet sturdy. If that wasn''t enough--they also have an adhesive backing!

The dry erase board was invented for sharing information in an on-going and changing environment. Whenever I owned a business, and I have owned several, I would have a board in almost every room. Once I even had a massive wall-sized dry erase board mounted in the conference room. For many years, my home office and kitchen have always had dry erase boards mounted on walls, refrigerators and filing cabinets. I cannot seem to get enough of dry erase surfaces.

I am now retired, but my need for erasable writing surfaces has not decreased. In addition to the ever present To Do Lists and Shopping Lists, I still like to play with ideas and concepts. Mental gymnastics, if you will. All this leads to making notes and drawings, which invariably are changed. What begins as one page in a notebook becomes many marked up and scratched out, hard to read pages.

At home, no problem, I could just use my medium and large dry erase boards. But, on a trip or even out-and-about in town, I end up making notes on napkins, take out bags, backs of business cards, you name it. I have sometimes wondered why someone doesn''t come up with a dry erase board that is small and portable. These 8.5 X 11" sheets are The Answer! They are the perfect size and thickness to put in a 3-ring binder (I use a 3-hole punch or put them in plastic sheet protectors.) They are also sturdy enough to put into my computer bag for road trips.

My refrigerator is now filled with these useful and practical sheets. I have learned to keep the magnetic calendars businesses give out so I can cut my dry erase sheets to fit, enabling me to make them magnetic. The sticky backs are quite sticky and always stay attached without any fuss, wrinkles or other potential problems. I move these dry erase sheets around to mix n'' match and organize my thoughts and projects. Now that I have these, I no longer use my larger, more rigid dry erase boards....I am even thinking of giving them to the local Goodwill.

I hope that at some point these small dry erase sheets will come with a magnetic backing. You can buy magnetic dry erase rolls, but they only come in massive amounts.

I give this product 5 stars for its quality, functionality, and convenience. If I could, I would Gowrite an extra star for their ingenuity.

I bought these for my boyfriend in college but since there are 5 in the pack I kept a couple.

They stick well to walls, fridges etc and they leave absolutely no residue.

The actual sheets act like any other dry erase board, and can be written on using any dry erase pen. They are easy to wipe off so long as you are careful to wipe inwards so you wont stain the wall.

They can also be printed to make calendars, for instance.

All in all these sheets are a great solution if you need a dry erase board but you cant/dont want to hang it on the wall. They can be stuck side by side to make a bigger surface to suit your needs.

Lexmark PhotoJet Z705 Printer

Lexmark PhotoJet Z705 Printer
  • Vivid 4,800 x 1,200 dpi resolution on photo paper, 2,400 x 1,200 on other media
  • Fast 17 ppm black, 10 ppm color document printing
  • Prints a 4-by-6 inch photo prints in about 60 seconds
  • USB interface, cable included; PC and Mac compatible
  • Optional 6-color printing; optional Ethernet

This is a compact and fast little printer. I use Windows XP Pro, and the setup was practically instantaneous; I''ve never seen setup instructions with no words, just diagrams, before, but it worked flawlessly first time.

The construction is reasonably robust -not too plasticky. The footprint is about 18" by 9" with the feed racks pulled in, but realistically you need about 18" wide by at least 10-12" deep -the front rack, which gathers the paper, can stick off the table OK. The footprint is 18" by 18" with both racks pulled out. The cartridges snapped in perfectly; everything worked fine immediately. The paper feed is not finicky at all and aligned the paper perfectly.

The only criticism I have is simply that this is an inkjet and so without special paper (and even with) it''s just not as precise as a laser. I printed out a couple of text pages: the text looked solid and black until I got up fairly close. There was just a tiny hint of fuzz on the diagonals, when I squinted, and a magnifying glass confirmed what I thought I saw -the line is a little blurry.

The colour is strong and clear, and as precise as the black.

A couple of other points to note: the installation process will make this your default printer. That may well be what you want (it wasn''t, for me), but if not then don''t forget to go back and reset the system default via Start -> Printers. And secondly, note that Amazon also sells this without the USB cable for one less dollar; this model has the cable, so get the other one if you have a cable to hand. Search for Z705 if you can''t find the other one.

This is a great inkjet printer; for the price, this is as good as you''re going to get.

I got this printer free with a really cheap computer package. I already had a pretty nice HP printer but since that was almost out of ink I figured I would just use this one for awhile. The prints this produces are almost as good as the HP (930 series by the way) but not quite there. The biggest drawback to the print process is the speed. Printing an 8.5x11 at "best" quality takes about 25 minutes.. far cry from the 10 ppm its description states(ppm = pages per minute?!... no way... I seriously doubt it could even print 10 pages containing one wallet size photo per page in draft mode in 3 or 4 minutes). But its much faster in draft mode or when using black/white obviously.

Another disappointment is the life span of the color ink cartridges. Printing most stuff like web pages and other misc. documents doesn''t deplete the ink too much but those large "best" quality prints spray some serious ink. The driver for this printer comes with a little virtual ink gauge that keeps track of your ink levels. I printed 4 8.5x11 high quality prints tonight and the gauge dropped from 3/4 to about 1/3. That was disheartening. I suppose I have printed about 20 high quality 8.5x11 prints on these cartridges so far. Ink prices for this printer seem about average which means that a replacement set is going to cost about $55 bucks or so. Seeing as how most stores selling printers always have one for about $50 bucks I don''t see why people buy new ink when its cheaper to buy the printer.

Anyway, it''s a nice little printer that''s easy to setup with nice driver software but compared to my previous HPs its way slower, uses more ink, and doesn''t have as good of prints. If it was cheaper to feed I might give it a 3 star rating but it just doesn''t deserve it.

This printer comes with the easiest-to-use photo organizing and printing software we''ve ever seen. This is the first setup that my wife is actually willing to use. That''s no small statement since we bought our digital camera three years ago -which takes excellent photos -but it''s always been too complicated before installing the Lexmark software, which is a snap.

We printed about 100 borderless 4x6 photos before the ink ran out. Definitely we''ll buy the high-capacity ink next time. With the high capacity ink I think it will come to something between 20-30 cents per photo.

At high resolution, the printer is super-slow. That''s okay for us. Overall, it''s a great purchase, but time will tell if the cost of ownership is too high due to the ink consumption.

Update 12/23/2006 (after 2 years): This thing is way too expensive to maintain; the ink costs more than double the competition -even the "generic" ink is more expensive. Time to get a new printer.

Want Lexmark PhotoJet Z705 Printer Discount?

I''ve owned two Lexmark printers, and both of them did not last two years. One had problems after 3 months of usage--would not print in black ink. The other one lasted two years, and it also stopped printing in black ink. I''ve tried installing new cartridges, and I''ve tried their ink nozzle cleaning program on numerous occasions--it doesn''t help to fix the problem. I will never voluntarily buy a Lexmark product, ever again.

Don''t buy this yes, it''s cheap, but unless you like babysitting your printer by feeding each sheet in by hand, you''re better off spending a few more bucks and getting something that works.

This is a printer sized freezer paper that I recently began using for my needleturn applique projects. It is NOT as heavy as CJ Jenkins Freezer Paper and adheres better to fabric and stays put better. It also works great with Easy Tear by Graphic Impressions which is a totally stable transparent (non-fusible) interfacing I am now using as my overlay for placing applique pieces. Simply iron it to the freezer paper then run it through your printer, then peel off! NOTE: I used this in an HP Injet Printer/Copier so not sure this will work in a regular copier with higher heating elements......

I use this product to cut felt shapes from a template. It''s the best way to get clean sharp edges without having to mark on the actual fabric. It also helps me use every bit of the felt. I can trace my pattern and arrange extra pieces to use the unused space. In the end I can now get twice as many pattern pieces as I would normally by having the pattern pieces arranged on the sheet first.

Inkjet Station Silver Metallic Photo Paper, 11"X17"

Inkjet Station Silver Metallic Photo Paper, 11''X17''
  • Includes 20 Sheets of 11x17 Inch Paper
  • 260g/10mil.
  • Beautiful Metallic Silver Semi-Gloss Finish
  • Compatible with Epson and HP printers, Dye and Pigment Ink (Photo Black Pigment)
  • Recommended to be finished with Print Shield

For my packaging design project I''ve been looking for several months for some metallic inkjet paper that is not white paper with pearl finish but silvery, light grey metallic paper. I''ve tried printing on silvery art paper I bought from art supplies stores, but as they were not meant for printers, the end results were horrible. I''ve thought of printing on pearl or metallic photo papers from Canson or Inkpress, but I noticed they were almost always just white paper with pearl finish. As my last attempt I found this Inkjet Station paper. I had never seen this brand in any of the paper stores or art supplies stores in my area, so I was doubtful about its quality. Oh well, I was in a hurry and thought I''d just try and see, since other papers were not a good fit anyway. But when I received the paper and opened the package, I was thrilled to see the silver paper! Although t was just a tiny bit darker than the ideal silver tone I desired, this was totally going to work fine with my packaging. I printed from Epson Photo Black 4900 on this paper, and my project looked amazing because of the hint of silver tone underneath bright colors. This paper may NOT work for photographs because it is not white. But for those who''d like to print their design projects on silver paper from your inkjets, this is it. I highly recommend it and will totally buy Inkjet Station''s papers again.

Buy Inkjet Station Silver Metallic Photo Paper, 11"X17" Now

The "metallic" finish of this paper is more like a bunch of rather obvious sparkles embedded into the paper itself. It''s made very well and has a good weight and finish, but my prints look pretty stupid on it because the sparkles are so large. Other than the sparkles (when the paper is curved so that they reflect light) the paper is very dull and grey, and did not make my photos "pop" at all... I prefer the boring old Epson Luster to this for sure, and am pretty dissappointed in the overall finished product. Just for reference, I''m using an Epson Stylus Pro 7800 inkjet printer.

I have only had it a couple of days but I am impressed. I got it to replace a Canon MX870 in order to get Airprint and a speed boost. Setup was a breeze. The Airprint works perfectly. The Fax function works just fine. It is much faster printing than the MX870. The only small drawback is that the second tray only holds photo paper and not envelopes. The MX870 could hold the envelopes in the upper paper feeder. The 922 requires that you feed the envelopes through the lower paper tray. Since I print very few envelopes it is really not an issue for me. The photo output looks superb to me. Canon support (if you need it) is very fast and competent.

I always buy the all-in-ones that are able to automatically print duplex and that include a fax since I still need to fax upon occasion. In the past I''ve had HP, but haven''t had great experiences with their printers lately (the last one I had starting failing one month after the 1 year warranty expired. HP said "tough luck" essentially, even though I read that my issues were VERY common with their products. They had no sense of ownership...). So I moved on to Canon.

This model, while shorter than my past printers, has a bigger footprint. My husbands exact remark when I unpacked it was "So I see you decided to go with the small model." Yes, he''s a bit sarcastic :) .

What is great about it so far (I haven''t played with all the features yet; I''ll update as I do that):

1. Unpacking it is relatively easy. It''s bulky and a bit heavy, but Canon put it in a bag. So you can lift up the handles and it pulls the printer right out of the box. This is the first time I''ve seen this. It was so much easier than my printers in the past where I had to smash my hands down in the box, try to get a grip, and then try to coax the printer out of the box.

2. It was very easy to install. The install takes about 14 minutes, but the install program warns you of this. And since all you have to do is wait it''s very easy.

3. It has a user guide that comes with the printer. Now don''t get too excited it''s not printed. BUT it is added to your system upon installation and the sw that is installed on your system also has links to it online. This is the first time I''ve actually found it easy to get a user guide since they stopped providing the printed copy in the box. I may actually like it better than the printed copy since it''s just a click away. And I''m a person who uses the guide since I like to use advanced features

4. It is bluetooth capable. I find this is the easiest way to print pictures from my phone (even my 6 year old can do it) so this is a plus. Do I wish the bluetooth was built in? Yes. But since I had an extra adapter laying around this wasn''t an issue. I plugged in the adapter and it instantly was ready. So easy.

5. It is wi-fi ready and the wi-fi works. This was the first thing to go on my last printer, so working wi-fi makes me happy. We''ll see how long it lasts, but I haven''t heard of major issues with the Canons so I''m not worried.

6. It is cloud ready. I set it up to connect to Google Cloud Print. And I put that app on my tablets. So now I can easily print from my samsung tablet. The setup was easy to do I followed the steps in the user guide.

7. The tray that catches the paper can fold up to stay out of the way when you aren''t printing. I like this because I''ve got pets and I hate the thought of fur getting into my printer. And, the best part (and my favorite gee-whiz feature hands down) is that it automatically opens when you send a print job. I l-o-v-e that. It''s the little things in life, right? :)

What I''m not so crazy about: The menus and lack of touch screen. Maybe it''s because I''m changing brands, but the menus are not as intuitive as I''d like. I find myself referencing the guide more than I''d like to so I can find what I need in the menus. And since it''s not touch screen you''ve got to navigate using a keypad off to the side. I find that cumbersome. But I''m sure I''ll get used to both these things as time goes on. Oh, and I wish someone would invent a black printer that didn''t show every dust particle. Ooh, a stainless steel printer would be nice; it would then match my kitchen appliances and look quite snazzy in my office.

So far I''ve set up multiple computers, printed wirelessly, printed via cloud, printed via bluetooth, printed pictures and set up my fax preferences. I haven''t scanned or faxed yet, but all the printing has been good quality. It''s a bit quieter than my HPs which is nice. And the starter ink that was included seems to be going a long way.

When I get a chance I''ll put it through the paces (I WILL try every feature in the guide. I''m just one of those people) and I''ll update my review. In the meantime, I definitely recommend the printer for ease of setup and solid performance.

Great Printer, great price, arrived quickly. Most of the time the purchase of a replacement printer is often when a printer goes bad. This usually requires an immediate local impulse purchase. That can often result in a purchase that doen''t exactly fit the need. Amazon had many printers available for comparison and shipped the unit very quickly. Like the ADF, Airprint, networking, and duplex capabilities. Probably one of the best home office printers I''ve researched.

I received my Cannon MX922 Wireless Color Printer with Scanner and Fax yesterday. After receiving numerous complaints from my lovely wife whom I bought an i pad 3 for last year on her birthday, and she wouldn''t let up on me about how she couldn''t print to our old printer with it. In addition I just purchased three i phone 5''s, and two Google Chromebooks for our grand kids so I guess you can say I had no choice.

I absolutely love this printer! (Especially the 50% off paper supplies promo-code), that I got just for registering with Cannon.

It''s wireless capabilities are endless and you can set it up to your home network without a computer. I also just purchased a Cannon T4i Rebel Camera, so I also wanted the ability to use the Cannon PIXMA MX 922 to print my pictures for my renewed photo hobby, and the organizing/editing software that comes with this printer is also amazing!

So if you are looking for a multi-function printer with an automatic document feeder with auto duplexing that can print(Even from full HD movie stills), scan, and fax with built-in WiFi for printing(Even from wireless cameras) and scanning from your home network that also includes PIXMA Cloud Link, and Apple Air-Print, which lets you wirelessly print from your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch devices, and is also Google Cloud Print ready, this is the printer for you!

I just purchased this from Amazon. Spent the last 1.5hrs trying to set it up and it will not print. Canon has no weekend support available; no online trouble shooting help not good. I followed directions to a T; installed each cartridge correctly so each one has the red light on and cannot get it to print the head alignment. Sounds like it''s printing but paper is blank. The printer head must be missing. The box was slightly damaged banged on one side so maybe it was dropped before shipped. I dont know.... Requesting a replacement so will update when I receive it.
