You''re just not going to get a better price anywhere. My partner and I needed to print out all of our estate planning documents to finalize, notarize, and put away. Obviously, for these types of documents, you want paper that is intended for wills, powers of attorney, etc: paper that will withhold the test of time. This high quality paper fit the bill, and at a price with which the big box office supply stores just could not even compete. We have quite a bit left over, but it was much cheaper than buying several of the smaller size boxes, and I''m sure we''ll need more of this paper in the future, so the excess stash is handy.

  • Bonus 4-Inch x 6-Inch Photo Paper Included!

Got this printer couple of weeks ago and it has been performing up to my expectation. I still cannot believe the price of this AIO printer. Even at the MSRP of $99 from Canon, it is still very well below a comparable unit from other brands. I like a good bargain, so originally I had 2nd thought on getting this because it was only $10 cheaper at Amazon than list price. However, after comparing other AIO printers with similar features like wireless, fax, auto-document feeder, this became a no-brainer.

Pros:

AIO with fax.

Mac friendly software

Price point

Sleek symmetric design vs. other brands (i.e. all trays are closable to create a neat look)

Self opening output tray if tray is closed. I had other printers where if I forgot to open the output tray, the paper would just cumple up.

Easy Wi-Fi setup

reasonable replacement OEM ink cartridge prices.

iPhone/iPod touch app for printing photos from your iPhone or iPod touch.

USB cable included, useful and a must for initial setup

Cons:

so far I have not been able to fax from my MacBook wirelessly, though faxing from PC wirelessly works.

slow start-up like most other users have experienced

I have owned AIO printers from HP, Lexmark, and Epson before. This model by far has been the best price performance for me.

This is a good printer for the price. I had a little problem setting up the wireless because the manual is not very clear in the instructions but I was able to set it up. I work as an IT so I dont know if this is going to be a problem for others. Also, when I tried scanning to the PC wirelessly, I got an error message from the computer about the MP Navigator. I went to the product website and found out that you need to install a separate software to get the scan to PC to work. Now, everything works except for a couple of things that this printer/software leaves to be desired -

1. OCR only scans text into notepad. Scan to Word does not work.

2. When the color ink runs out, you can not even print B/W copies.

The print quality is good and it print fast but Canon needs to fix the above 2 issues. It just doesnt make sense. My older printer which is a Brother MFC 210C can scan to word and I can still print B/W even when one of the color inks run out.

My ancient HP G5 All-In-One finally croaked, so I ordered one of these. I didn''t really expect it would be any good considering how cheap it is, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The construction is really excellent, and it looks a lot better than most of the flimsy competition I looked at from HP and the rest. There aren''t any floppy pieces dangling off it waiting to get broken. I am using it with an iMac 30" running OS X 10.6.3.

Setup was fairly straightforward using the wireless connection. The manual takes about 50 pages to get round to telling you that all you need to do is hit the menu button on the printer and find the LAN sub-menu, then choose the network and enter the password. The software for the iMac pretty much installs itself.

The included software is good. This is usually a problem with Macs and printers/scanners, but not this time. The scanner will scan straight into Mail, or into your Pictures folder, in jpg, tiff, or pdf. The scans are excellent, much better than the stand-alone HP Scanjet I paid $300 for not so long ago. Print quality is quite good, and reasonably fast, but I really got this for scanning and faxing, with just light duty printing when I don''t want to walk over to the laser printer.

I am still laughing to myself over the insane value this represents. I honestly can''t remember ever getting such a great piece of gear so cheap. It cost more to buy the Airport Express that hooks it to the LAN. I have never posted a review on Amazon before, but this machine is just so great that I had to.

The Agony:

I''ve been setting up equipment all my life (and liking it!) and I''ve got to say this has some of the worst documentation I''ve ever come across. The printed manual is a joke, leaving out huge blocks of information.

I tried following the manual as long as possible, but after reaching a dead end, my best option was to tinker and hope for a friendly user interface. Fat chance.

Another reviewer had mentioned disregarding the first 50 pages of the manual and setting up the wireless via the LCD display. That was the best advice I''d had all day. Even so, entering the router password was hardly intuitive, especially with caps, lower case, and special characters involved. Hint: cycle through the character types via the * key.

It turns out that the documentation on the installation CD is more complete, though it has more twists and turns than a plate of spaghetti. In Canon''s defense, the machine does have a lot of features--but that''s still no excuse.

Some of the CD contents seems unnecessary, especially for Mac users. At least Canon allows a custom installation and a pretty good explanation of what you are (or aren''t) installing.

I''m used to scanning from within Photoshop and believe it or not, that is possible. I found a plugin and manually installed it in the appropriate Photoshop folder. It worked.

Obviously, Canon won''t make any money on this until you go through a few ink cartridges. And judging from the small size of them, finding a reasonable price is a must. If you''re considering this machine, remember it locks down functions when the ink is gone AND it uses color ink even when printing / copying in b/w.

The Ecstasy:

Print quality is simply outstanding, and that''s coming from a longtime graphic designer who''s very particular about output. My first page was for a final logo design and everything was flawless (on Konica glossy stock). No jaggies at all, even under magnification.

The scanner quality was passable and extremely quick (150 dpi color scan 6x4) taking 10-15 seconds. I expect better results once I have a chance to tinker with the software.

My wireless network was automatically recognized and integrated once the password entry glitch was overcome.

For me, the bottom line of quality and value far outweighs the gruesome setup and ongoing costs.

July 12 edit:

After recently installing Adobe CS5, I learned that the Canon scanner plugin (and all scanner plugins, for that matter) will not work with Photoshop CS5''s Import menu. It has to do with the switch to 64-bit. So now I can either open Photoshop CS3 to scan within PS or use Canon''s funky included scanning software. This isn''t Canon''s fault, but it is something you should know.

this seems to be a great all in one for the price, however im upset about the fax end of it. im replacing an older brother that has always worked well for faxing but didn''t do too well on printing.the reason for the 2 star rating is that this machine really needs a dedicated fax line, even though it will work without it by hooking up a phone to the fax machine. then, and only, if you recieve a fax you must pick up the phone attached to the printer to receive the fax. if you pick up a different phone from somewhere else in the house you will not receive the fax. if you set the fax settings as fax only and someone picks up the phone when a fax is coming, you will not receive the fax.basically, you must know when a fax is coming and be ready to answer the dedicated phone attached to the printer in order to receive it. i called canon and they confirmed the operation and apologized, but thats the way it works. if you have a dedicated fax line, youre good. otherwise, great fast printing.

Kodak 8974313 Premium Inkjet Linen Greeting Cards

Kodak 8974313 Premium Inkjet Linen Greeting Cards
  • Linen-textured paper for homemade greeting cards
  • Works with all major inkjet printers
  • 12 bi-fold cards and envelopes
  • Prints on both sides
  • 190-grams-per-square-meter weight paper

I make my own cards for Christmas, Easter, birthdays, etc., and I was tired of using feathered edge, white/ivory matte or glossy card stock. It appears that the big-box office stores don''t carry much in the way of greeting card stock and envelopes anymore.

When I searched for the linen cards and found them I was ecstatic. I ordered two packages (and hope to order more) and just loved how the cards turned out. The ink colors were just beautiful and nothing ran. The envelopes are also linen and add a touch of class to the sender.

If you''re looking for something different for card stock and can find this product, I highly recommend it.

P.S. If you''re looking for something really snazzy, try Avery #3382 Ink Jet Metallic Print Half-fold Cards. The effect is a foil which gives a shiny look to all ink colors and provides the colors gold, silver and copper as close as possible to the actual colors Good luck trying to find them, however, as they''ve been discontinued for several years. I found some on Amazon and have been very careful when I use them.

HP Iron-On Transfers (12 Pack)

HP Iron-On Transfers, 8.5 x 11 Inch, 12 Pack
  • Original HP supplies.
  • The science behind brilliant print.
  • HP papers are matched with HP printers and print cartridges to bring exceptional quality to all your printing creations
  • Pack of 12 sheets
  • Dimension: 8.5 x 11-inch

Well, I have used this product with more than 100 t-shirt and I have no complains. After my 3 first big trials... a really mess... It is easy to transfer (once you get used with the process), it is a fast process, and the image stay for a long time on the fabric. Of course, the transfer will not last forever, but after 100+ washing cycles, all of my t-shirt still are in PERFECT condition. I use soft soap, and a soft washing machine cycle. The most important words here, are: VERY high temp iron (mine is one with 1400 watts), very VERY high pressure when ironing (I sweat a lot in this process) and the fabric must be as flat and firm as possible (porous fabrics are not the best, as well as stretching ones like cotton-lycra are not a good option because when stretching, the image breaks).

One last note: it is for white fabric. If you try it over other color, the image''s colors will be different from intended. If the fabic is dark colored, you will not see anything after trasferring. This is because the WHITE color of the image after ironing comes from the fabric, so if within the image are white and shiny teeth, and the fabric is dark, the teeth will be black, as well as all the other light colors of the images.

I have tried both the HP paper and the Office Depot paper, and the HP paper sure has better quality.

Both of them were done with the same steps, and it ends up that Office Depot one started to come off after 1st or 2nd wash, while the HP one is still on there without a scratch.

Also, HP paper fits more to the fabric, which it will be harder to see it was an "iron-on", but the Office Depot one was very obvious.

I will give two thumbs up for the HP paper!

They''re easy to use & they look great right up until you wash them the first time. Light t-shirt transfers crack & peel something awful, I''ve never known one to last more than one wearing.

If you''re going to make a t-shirt, get the kind that says DARK t-shirt transfers. I''ve got a closet full of Office Depot & Avery brand Dark t-shirt transfers (many transfered onto white shirts) that look great and I wear them every weekend. It costs a little more, but they actually work, making it well worth the money.

I did a little more than the directions outline. I took longer with the ironing. I took 5 minutes to iron the items on. I pushed down hard when I did the ironing. My black and white iron on washed well. I washed the item inside out in the cold water. Dried it on gentle cycle and it came out fine. I just don''t know how it will turn out after several washings. Let the printing completely dry before ironing it on. Take your time on ironing them. Take your time letting the iron on cool before peeling the paper off. It should work.

These transfers are superb. All you need is an inkjet printer, a bit of time, a T-shirt, a hot iron and a hard surface to iron on (not your ironing board) and you are set.

There are a few things to watch out for, but the results are fantastic. I used white T-shirts to print a photo transfer onto. It may seem obvious in hindsight, but the quality of the print is more down to what you print and the quality of the printer you use. The transfer will transfer anything you print onto it.

The documentation says to print whatever you want in reverse, which makes sense as ironing it onto the T-shirt will reverse whatever is printed. Having dutifully reversed the print and tested the print on blank paper I was ready for my first Transfer be warned though I used a Canon Pixma printer which has a very clever Paper Type option of "Iron on Transfers" and which reverses the print for you, so my image was changed back so I wasted a T-shirt! If your printer has a paper type of Iron on Transfer, you might want to do a test print on this setting using plain paper to see if it reverses it for you.

When you iron, you need the iron really hot and to press hard to fuse the transfer onto the T-shirt. If the iron isn''t hot or you don''t press hard enough, the transfer will not fuse properly and just peel off.

Unless your ironing board is solid, don''t use it. Most boards use a mesh to allow steam to blow through and if you use an ironing board the transfer will only fuse where the pattern is solid. I used a block of wood with a cloth over it, then with some paper over the top of the Transfer so that the T-shirt wouldn''t scorch as I ironed it. You''ll need to iron it for a few minutes for the transfer to fuse properly. I started in the middle, pressing hard and working out to the edges. You can see when it has worked as you can see what looks like small bead of clear melted plastic oozing out from under the transfer paper.

The results are great. Enjoy.

I''ve worked in technology for over 36 years. I''m picky as hell. I''ve been looking for a new all-in-one (AIO) printer for a while. I''ve tried Epson, Canon, Lexmark. I never tried Brother. I saw this printer in OfficeMax where it was on sale before Amazon for $99 and picked it up. The quality and the price of the inks looked great, the features were killer, and I needed the scanner because I often scan documents and photos, as well as use DocsVault to have a paperless office. I figured I would return it if I didn''t like it. No harm, no foul.

Man, was I surprised. The quality of the construction is terrific. It has a small footprint and low noise. The paper tray combines holding the paper and providing the output tray. It also will store a stack of 4x6 photo paper ready to go. All you have to do is push a lever to move the photo paper into position. The tray will extend as well for legal size paper. The paper stops on the output tray and the fax tray are a little flimsy, but I can live with it.

The document feeder is smooth as silk. The touch screen removes the need for endless buttons by transforming itself based on the selected functions. The driver and software is excellent.

The printer functions both wired and wireless and has the usual fax functions.

Now for the gravy! There is an iPad and iPhone app that allows you to scan DIRECTLY TO YOUR iOS DEVICE! It works flawlessly. The quality of the scans are beautiful. In addition, there will be a FIRMWARE UPDATE in JANUARY 2012 that will enable the printer for AIRPRINT! SCORE!

All of that in a brand new released model for $99! What is Brother thinking? I don''t care. I love this device and I highly recommend it. The output is excellent. It prints very quickly in draft mode and does a great job of saving me paper with duplex. It is serving all of our devices in the house. Best I''ve seen yet!

What have you got to lose? Try it! If you hate it, return it. No harm, no foul. :D

Generally speaking, this printer so far is VERY GOOD for the price. It does what it says, and it is very USER-FRIENDLY.

My two complaints are the following:

(1) My previous printer (a 2005 HP) printed with the same resolution in "normal" and "fast print/draft", the only difference being the quality of the ink''s hue or depth (and, of course, the speed). That is, the 2005 HP Printer printed a lighter-colored draft document, but very quickly. THIS PRINTER in fast/draft mode also prints quickly in a lighter shade (which is fine). HOWEVER, in doing so, the resolution/form of the characters is compromised. Remember the old printers from the 90''s where a curved letter visibly showed the small blocks that formed it? How they looked like letters shaped out of Lego(TM) blocks? Well, unfortunately, in 2012, that''s what Brother delivers in its fast/draft mode. The only way to save ink is to use the "ink save" function within a particular mode, in which case it prints just as slow as that mode normally would. So, you can save ink, but you can''t save time, unless you are ok with "block" character forms.

(2) Scanning a 8.5 x 11 piece of paper cannot happen in its entirety. The instruction booklet tells you this .12 inches are subtracted vertically and horizontally from the page (see Basic User''s Guide, p. 25). Maybe this is normal for all scanners, I do not know. But, you should know that if you wish to scan a page in its entirety, a certain dimension will be subtracted from it. Since there is no zoom out function, you cannot correct this by zooming out.

The two complaints/warnings listed above may not bother you. If they don''t, this is a fine printer for the price.

I did some research for a couple days and ended up purchasing this printer. I''ve never owned a Brother printer since i guess the name is kinda silly. Don''t let the name fool you this is an excellent printer. For $100 you simply cannot beat it. The setup is easy and the unit seems to be well built. It has scan, copy, fax, dial pad, etc. as rubber buttons on the front face. All the menu options are on a touchscreen LCD. The touchscreen can be touchy during the initial setup phase but you get used to it. It even has a feature which allows you to copy and reprint CD artwork onto burnable CDs...now thats cool!

The unit prints fast and has good picture quality. The scanner was way beyond my expectations and reproduces photos extremely well. Its almost like you took the picture directly off your camera. It also is able to print duplex prints and does so very fast. If you need anything more out of a printer then this then you''d be running a large business of some sort. It would even be well suited for a small business or office.

If i could recommend anything is use the quick setup guide and use the CD to install all the software and drivers. It took me a minute to get the wireless working since you have to setup your printer on your computer as a "wireless printer" and set it up as a shared printer on your network. If your having problems there is an excellent source of troubleshooting information on the Brother website. Once everything is installed i HIGHLY recommend going onto the Brother website and updating the firmware for the printer. The firmware tells the printer how to operate its various functions. My printer out of the box needed a firmware update. If your running into issues with your printer it may be because your firmware is out of date so do this first because it may make things much easier for you.

Other then that setup was pretty straight forward. I was able to instantly connect the printer to my wireless internet and set everything up with no real hassle. The printer wakes quickly with little delay when sending documents wirelessly.

All i can say is i am thoroughly impressed with this product. I dont think i''ll ever buy another printer without the Brother brand name. For home use you dont need anything more elaborate then this it has everything you need in a printer and then some. You can get a 12 pack of ink for $20 so ink is not expensive at all (which was also one of my purchasing points).

I got the printer, 3 reams of paper and the ink all for $130 shipped...what a deal! Gotta love Amazon.

Update as of 5/6/12:

Well we''ve been using the printer for quite sometime now and its been flawless. We recently got a home phone line and hooked up the fax machine. There are multiple faxing options but you have to choose the "External TAD" if you have an external answering machine. If you dont the printer will actually record voicemails and record received calls and such...actually pretty neat but not needed. Overall its a great printer i''m very happy with this purchase.

Want Brother Printer MFCJ825DW Wireless Color Photo Printer Discount?

A little more than a year ago my Epson died. I was using compatible cartridges with my Epson so my ink cost was very reasonable. Then, I bought a Lexmark Pro205. I assumed I could find similar compatible ink cartridges. No success. I searched Amazon for compatible cartridges for my Lexmark but all the reviews complained of issues. "Won''t recognize the cartridge", "Leaked", etc. Basically without compatible cartridge options, I had to buy genuine Lexmark Ink. Good ink but expensive at about $20 for an XL cartridge. After watching my bank account drain away to pay for ink over the course of one year for my Lexmark Pro205, I thought there has to be a better way. So, I went on a mad hunt for a new printer that would accept compatible cartridges.

I scoured the compatible cartridges for some that had good ratings. I finally found the Brother compatible cartridges on Amazon and they had decent ratings. It looked like it might work out. Rather than paying $20 for a genuine Lexmark cartridge, I found I could pay less than $4 for a compatible cartridge.

I wanted a Brother printer that had a document feeder, could duplex, could do both wireless and wired printing, could scan and could use the compatible cartridges. So, I opted for this Brother. My family has been using it almost everyday for about 3 months and it has been awesome. The only issue I had was when I unpacked and set it up the first time, I tried to install the compatible cartridges right off the bat. However, Brother wanted me to install the starter cartridges first. So I did and then when they ran out I switched to the compatibles. I''ve got all 4 inks running on compatible ink cartridges from Sophia Global.

My 12 yr. old daughter just created a family calendar for me for Christmas pasting pictures in it for every month. She printed it on 110 lb card stock, and it came out beautifully.

Thank you Brother for giving me this printer with all the options I wanted including being able to use genuine ink or compatible ink.

A note to those setting up the first time, it will consume about half of the ink in the smaller starter cartridges as it primes itself. At the conclusion of the priming, the printer said the black cartridge was out or may result in degraded print quality. I took it out and put it back in. The printer asks you if you replaced it or not. I said I did (even though I didn''t replace it with a new one) and it continued printing a long time afterward. You can replace the cartridges when you want and when you see that your print fades. With my Lexmark, when it said the cartridge was out, that''s the end of it. It could have had more ink, but it would not in any way let you put it back in to try to get more ink out. It remembered which cartridges were installed and could tell when you tried to put them back.

I was searching for a replacement of my HP C309g-n which was a worthless printer if you want to print wirelessly (don''t buy the HP C309g-n!)

Oh! About the Brother... I just purchased it today and had it installed and working without a glitch.

The HP (did I mention it consider it worthless for wireless printing!) would take 10 minutes to print a single page, but this printer handled it with ease! What a relief!

I tested duplex (two-sided) printing and it worked flawlessly. That piece of crap HP would pause for 30 seconds to "dry" the ink before printing on the back of the printed front. The Brother doesn''t skip a beat. BAM! Both sides printed!

This printer has the equipment to print on CD/DVDs (that accept inkjet!) So I''ll have to give that a try. I don''t have any reservations about that functionality considering how well it worked on the others.

About build quality, it''s a $90 dollar All-In-One... it''s made of plastic! What do you expect! Get a grip and buy this printer, you will be suprised about the total package!

Word of advice... please, please, please, don''t buy the HP C309g-n to use as a wireless printer, I''d rather you send me the money... I''ll put it to better use!

So far... So Good! No buyer''s remorse.

UPDATE: 2012-11-20 Still loving this printer! It''s the best "inexpensive" printer I''ve ever purchased! It hasn''t failed me yet! Ink is easy to find in multiple "office" stores and relatively-moderately expensive, but it doesn''t go through it quickly... that''s a plus!

I did try the CD printer function and as I expected... it worked flawlessly!

Would I purchase another one... in a heartbeat!

Oh! And my grey hairs from dealing the the HP C309g-n... they''ve all grown back to normal thanks to the Brother!

It''s good to have labels like this around. I have found three uses for them:

1) Mass-mailings such as when I am getting ready to mail out my Christmas Cards.

2) Regular mailing, when I need a big label such as sending a package to my favorite soldier, I simply change the settings on the Word file I use, and print an address that takes up two labels, and simply put them on together. (Don''t underestimate this, I really like it!)

3) Just need a sticker when I want to use a box to send goodies to my favorite soldier, I use a marker to go over any barcodes on the box and then put a sticker over that, to make sure that the Post Office''s scanners won''t try to read them.

So far, I have not had a single problem with putting these labels in my printer, which did worry me at first. Now, I use them with confidence. They are very handy to have around the house, and I am quite pleased with them!

I have owned this printer for several months. It is fast, the print quality is excellent, and I am especially pleased by how accurately it prints fine lines in line art.

However, the facilities for printing envelopes (the "smart" tray) are inferior. It only holds about 15 envelopes without jamming. If you want to print several hundred for a mass mailing, you have to sit and constantly feed the smart tray, and unjam it frequently.

The other problem is the sensor for replacing the toner cartridge. You are told your cartridge is low for weeks before it actually is, even if you run a home business where you use the printer heavily. And, you are not permitted to decide when to replace the cartridge. While the copies are still perfect, and there are no streaks or faint spots anywhere, the "replace cartridge" red light comes on and the printer will not print one single more page till you put in a new cartridge. Forget about running the printer a little faint for awhile, or shaking up the cartridge to get another hundred decent pages before you put in a new one. As cartridges are expensive, and there is no indication how much toner is really left in the cartridge you are forced to throw away, this is an expensive "feature."

I purchased several of the predecessor model, the 4350d, for use in my office. Those machines have been rock solid, and when they began to get harder to find, I decided to go with the "newer" version. Sadly, "new" is NOT improved. The newer version cannot hold a candle to the prior version it is flimsier, has a less intuitive interface, shoddy build quality, and requires a more expensive toner cartridge that is not compatible with the older models. Moreover, the "new" toner cartridge runs out of toner much sooner than the older ones probably by design. After less than 2 months of very light use, the ADF (automatic document feeder) ceased to work. There is a reason this machine is so inexpensive the 4350d was inexpensive and a great value this one is just cheap. Canon should think twice about testing their customers'' loyalty by putting out such a substandard product.

The Canon MF4450 is a good, fast, easy to set up multifunction. I would also consider the Canon MF4350d. I mentioned in my blog that using the Canon 104 cartridge will probably be cheaper per page than the Canon 128 cartridge. As of July 2011 you can still get the Canon MF4350 at Amazon.Canon ImageCLASS MF4350d Laser All-in-One Printer

I love this printer...simple, fast copies, quiet. It really delivers. Must be careful when feeding docs so that they won''t come out crooked...almost deducted a star for that...but this is an amazingly low price for the quality of this printer. It is changing my life in my small office workplace.

Excellant print copy compared to ink jet. Toner cartridge is somewhat expensive but probably will support print of roughly the same number of pages as the many ink tanks required to print the same amount of material with an ink jet printer.

This particular model only prints in black and white which is a problem for some users.

This is a multi-function machine. I have had only very limited use of the fax, copy and scan functions to date but all have performed well and were easy to set up.

I have had several laser printers over the past 15 or so years. Always bought HP brand. After getting burned with the last three HP printers (one issue or another occurring way too soon in the printer''s life) I decided it was time to try another brand. I have had this Canon printer up and running three days now and am very pleased with my purchase. Now, I may change my review in 6 months or a year, but right now I feel my purchase was a very good decision. The quality of the print is sharp. The speed is quite acceptable. A slight tad noisy, but I have it on my desk right at ear level.

Grafix Ink Jet Adhesive Film Save 29% off

Grafix Ink Jet Adhesive Film, 8-1/2-Inch by 11-Inch, 6-Pack, ClearIt''s the best I''ve found so far, but I''ll switch in an instant if I can find some that allows the ink to dry quickly. After running this through my inkjet printer (Epson Artison with Epson ink), the ink is so wet that the slightest thing will smear it..don''t touch it, don''t let anything else touch it, if a piece of hair or dust gets in it, leave it till it''s dry or you''ll be sorry. I discovered (only after smearing and then throwing away 2 of the six sheets) that if it does smear, you can wipe it clean and print again. I have left it sitting for an hour and can still wipe it clean. I have to leave it overnight to dry completely to the point that I''m not scared of touching it.

This was not transparent, it had lots of streaks and spots running down the pages. The adhesive is patchy and clearly visible :(

Transparent adhesive labels are meant to be used on transparent objects, like glass, etc. Right?

But with this media, you''ll have very hard work getting it look neat on the glass. The reason is that since backing of these labels is plain paper, the glue base inherited paper structure, so it is not evenly distributed. You''ll need consistent rubbing of the attached label, to flatten out all these unevennesses, but some will remain anyways. Check my "customer image" to see how it looks in the real life.

Otherwise, I liked these sheets my Canon Pixma had no problems with them, dries in seconds, does not smears with hand or finger and colors look accurate, there''s no smudging to be discovered.

So, from my point of view, there are two main problems with this labels:

1. Uneven glue distribution

2. Price

Enjoy!

I''ve tried other so called adhesive films and sticker paper ... this one is by far the best. YOU MUST give the ink a least 5 10 mins to dry or you will mess up your image. It is transparent ... the edges don''t disappear but most products don''t. This is by far the most transparent product. Some products say they are but are not. Everything this product say it is ... is. Love it!

this adhesive film works great for what I use it for. I bought this because I make my own decals for RC aircraft. I have no problems using this with my canon inkjet printer the ink drys fairly quick 5 min or so not a big deal for me and does not smear. I might have to see if I can set printer to put down less ink just to see how that works. the only problems is that its hard to remove the backing the easiest way is to take two pieces of tape and put on both sides on the corners of paper and pull apart. works like a charm I will buy this again.

It is always a gamble to buy printer ink that does not come from a printer maker, such as Epson. However, the price paid for this ink makes the gamble worth it. This ink needs to have the print tips cleaned more often to print well. The ink does not last as long as Epson brand ink, but I am patient because the ink is so much cheaper. :-)

Kodak 8107120 Premium Picture Paper

Kodak 8107120 Premium Picture Paper, Satin, 8.5inx11in, 15 Sheets
  • The satin finish offers a low-gloss surface for smooth color representation and strong details
  • Package includes fifteen 8.5 x 11 one-sided prints
  • Works with any Brand InkJet Printer

I have an Epson 890 printer which I bought for printing digital photos at home. It has a roll attachment and an excellent reputation. I did reviews twice on this printer. It was this printer I used to print with this paper.

EARLIER EXPERIENCES WITH KODAK PAPER WERE NOT GOOD.

I had tried Kodak paper early on with this printer and the results were horrible. So I opted to go with only Epson paper and am quite pleased with the results. However, it needs to be noted, that the Epson printer is optimized for Epson paper and this is not too surprising. Most printer manufacturers make their money on the "consumables" versus the printers themselves, so this is their primary focus. Consumables being ink and paper. Only their paper and ink will give you the best results, if it is up to them.

EPSON PAPER IS NOT ON EVERY SHELF THOUGH: KODAK IS:

However, if you want to buy paper locally, all you find here (in Rochester NY) is Kodak paper and HP at the grocery stores. I felt it was a pity, I could not opt for an easier to buy paper.

KODAK GIVES YOU THE SOFTWARE YOU NEED TO OPTIMIZE ALL THE PRINTERS OUT THERE:

The Kodak paper advertized on the package that it works on all injet printers and mentioned some software I could download to optimize my printer to do this. So I said: Why not give it a shot? I can return it if I''m not satified with the results.

FREE SOFTWARE ON THEIR WEBSITE:

I went to their website and downloaded their software: There were 3 pieces. The Kodak picture transfer software, to use with the latest Kodak cameras and docks, the Kodak picture software for picture manipulation and then the specialized printer optimizing software: "One touch printing software". This one touch printing software is done by printer type, so it is customized for what you need. It actually had a selection for the Epson 890. I would imagine you can pair the Kodak picture software and the printing software with any other camera''s transfer software.

PRINTED BOTH ON EPSON PAPER AND ON KODAK PAPER EXAMPLE OF SAME PRINT (3MP CLOSE UP OF AN AFRICAN VIOLET):

I ran an 8 X 10 picture on first the Epson paper with the Epson drivers and then the same picture minutes later, on the Kodak paper with the One touch printing selection on, in the Kodak picture software. What can I say but Wow! My previous complaint about Kodak paper in my printer was more than resolved. The photo it printed was crisp, clear and had more "true-to-life" colors than the Espon picture did. I really thought the Epson paper was top notch until I saw this.

LONGER LIFE:

One thing I did hear, and this may be advertizing claims only, is that the Kodak paper has a longer shelf life than the Epson paper. I know one of the concerns with ink jet paper in general is a fading problem and a shorter shelf life than conventional photographs. What better than to go to the company that has done this for years with regular pictures.

So now, I have to eat my words from earlier Epson printer reviews. I have added a P.S. to them. You can not only use Epson paper with an Epson printer, but you can use Kodak too and possibly with better results. Try it yourself like I did. Now I can buy some of the the cool options I see out there locally too.

high quality genuine cartridge, that''s all I can say. At this price, it''s a great deal. Just want to share some tips how to save money on ink. Brother printer is pretty easy to setup and replace cartridge. I don''t know if you noticed that the cartridge edge that is facing inside, there is a transparent "windows" so that you can see how much ink left in the cartridge. YOu can use duct tape to block the window. The printer will keep printing untill all ink are used up. I choose brother printer is because the genuine ink is cheaper and long term cost is lower. I didn''t know you can trick printer to save ink even more.

This individual yellow cartridge has proven useful. For every 3 or 4 sets of the other colours I use, I need an extra yellow for some strange reason. But that is the great thing about these individual cartridges, you replace what you use, not all of the colours at once.

This is a Brother product, not something just compatible. It goes in and out easily and is tightly wrapped in plastic to avoiding any drying out...just a great product and an added bonus of being less than at any office supply near me.

We''ve used this for about 2 months now and have been very satisfied. It was very easy to set up and we have had no problems with it. We have it set up with a "distinctive ring" feature so we can have both a voice number and a fax number on the same physical phone line. It has had no problem handling this and it has always been able to tell a fax call from a voice one. We also have an answering machine, PC Modem, cordless phone, and credit card terminal all hooked up to the same physical line as this fax machine and have no conflicts or problems. The footprint is very small which is nice if you''re running out of deskspace.

The print quality is OK. We use to have an inkjet based fax machine and it was better.

When your comparing prices on these machines, be sure to add the cost of a replacement cartridge to the purchase price of this one (...)The cartridge that comes with it is only good for about 20-30 pages. I get that much junk fax in a couple of weeks. If you decide to buy this one, get a spare cartridge also.

We use this in a home office set up and only get a few of faxes a day. If you have high volume fax needs, this may not be the machine for you. It''s slow and I''m not convinced that it would hold up very long under high-volume situations.

What an improvement over our old oily-rolled-paper machine! I hated having cut those things apart and stand on them after they came in to straighten them out! You gotta love modern technology!

I got this durable, handy-dandy, inexpensive unit about a year ago. Overall, I am very happy with it. Easy to set up and operate, it is attractive and fits very well in my small home office. Forgot to re-load paper before going out on errands and someone tried to Fax you a major order? No problem! It has up to 20 pages of memory. My only quibble is that, with lengthy out-going faxes, it must be "baby-sat" as it has only a 10 page outgoing tray. But how often do you have to send off a treatise?

I use this machine for light home office use and its worked well so far. Print quality is good but not great and the speed is OK, but its definitely not fast. Has a small footprint so it doesn''t take up much space. Set up was easy and the owners manual is relatively straightforward.

Buy a spare cartridge immediately though as it only comes with a 30 page one. It works with my answering machine, which I was concerned about although it does play the message on my answering machine before receiving the fax so some folks have hung up and tried again thinking it was the wrong number.

For the money, its about the best you can do HP has more advanced (and expensive models start at around $200) but nothing else on the market that I was able to find had these features at this price (25 page memory, large paper input, phone).

Want Brother FAX-560 Personal Plain Paper Fax, Phone, and Copier Discount?

Crisp, clear print-outs. Set up was simple, but my only hesitation is that the film that comes with the machine is only good for about 30 pages. I appreciate Brother being upfront about that in the manual (or other owner''s literature), but I wish that the "starter roll" of film lasted a bit longer.

Easy to set up and use. This fax machine does a good job of sending faxes in excellent quality. My only complaint is that when receiving faxes, the quality of faxes this machine prints out is only fair. The print outs are a little faint in spots.

I was very happy just to find this ink cartridge because I think it has been discontinued and it was not easy to find someone that actually had it. I bought extras just in case it''s hard to find in the future too, which it probably will be. At this point, it''s a race to see which happens first---my old printer dying, or me running out of the extra ink cartridges I bought. The suspense is almost overwhelming.

Buy Canon BC-02 Inkjet Cartridge Black Now

The Canon BC-02 Black ink cartridge is becoming difficult to find...for good reason..most of the printers that it fits were made between 1994 and 1998. I just "retired" my Canon BJC-210 printer after 17 years of reliable printing, with the difficulty of finding "fresh" ink a factor in its retirement...for it still is printing just as good as it did back in 1995.

If you happen to have a Canon BC-02 cartridge in its original box, you should consider keeping it as a relic of the early days of home computers. It is very unlikely that any home printer sold in 2012 will be in service 17 years from now...today''s printers don''t last much longer than the ink cartridges they are sold with.

I hope Amazon and its vendors will continue to supply the BC-02, if fresh cartridges are available. They don''t last long in storage, so after the factory stops supplying fresh ones, it is really the end of a long road.

This rating is not particularly for this product, per se, but only to warn potential buyers that the BC-02 cartridge (as suggested by the ink/toner finder feature) will NOT fit into the Canon FAX-B160. The ink/toner finder feature is flawed and should CORRECTLY suggest the BX-20 cartridge. Happy trails.

The Canon Black Inkjet Cartridge prints well, has dependable quality and is very easy to install in my Epson printer.
