I highly recommend this all-in-one product for home and small office use.

We had the HP 6210 for about a year. I decided to get a second printer in the house and after reading reviews on Amazon bought the HP 7210. I am SO happy with this printer. The installation went smoothly ( I followed all the directions exactly ) and I found the installation to be more streamlined than previous years. These are the reasons this printer is much better than the HP6210:
1) It''s visibly faster.
2) You can stack more paper in the printer so it doesn''t run out as often.
3) It''s quieter.
With the HP6210, after about a year, it wasn''t grabbing the paper properly for faxes. That was another reason I decided to purchase a different model this time.
I was so happy with this printer and the price ($249.00) that I bought two more for my high school aged children. For that price, they can have their own printer now and have a printer to take to college.

This printer is fast and convenient. I can fax, copy, scan, and print on the same machine. I like the fact that I don''t need to turn on my PC to fax or copy. I can even send double-sided documents through the paper feeder. Printing double-sided documents is also a breeze.Although, I still don''t know how much the ink will cost.

I''ve been using the 7210 for the last 3 months. Scanner, FAX, Copier and printer functions have been reliable and of good quality. I use XP and the software interface is not the top of the line package..I often use a third party graphic program to scan images..the default is slower and not as intuitive.Overall, the 7210 is a good workhorse that quietly supports general office needs.
Why it''s not a ''5''.
Expensive ink replacement
Software for scans only rates a ''3''
OkikidzThis is my third HP Inkjet in about 15 years. They all printed and lasted very nicely and the 7210 is a great replacement for the 8 yr old G55xi I had. But like every one of these printers, the install software was poor. The one on the HP 7210 install disk is the worst yet. On XP Pro it hung up 6 times (add Additional Features) was the last prompt I saw never got a clean install.
MY RECOMMENDATION: GO TO THE HP SUPPORT WEBSITE AND DOWNLOAD THE LASTEST DRIVER. ONLY INSTALL THE BASIC DRIVER AND LET XP DO THE REST. THIS WORKED FLAWLESSLY AND WORKED THE FIRST TIME!!!!
Still a great printer. Would be a 5 and maybe will be if HP ever figures out how to write desktop software.

Excellent Trimmer/Cutter for those who have a disability that won''t allow them to "Push down" very hard.I''ve had many trimmers some really cheap and even a more expensive Carl''s rotary cutter and they were a huge disappointment! Many had the alignment marks wear off after 3 months and none of them cut straight.
If you''re a paper crafter who needs to cut heavy duty chipboard then this is the trimmer for you! The Rotatrim cuts heavy chipboard like butter. I''ve had seven back operations and I just couldn''t push down hard using my regular trimmers or an exacto knife, and with this I can cut all day long without it hurting me. I checked to see if it cut straight and it does. It cuts several sheets of cardstock as well, which is very helpful if you''re mass producing items.
I would highly recommend using the paper hold down if you will be cutting on both the up and down stroke. I tried cutting on the down stroke without the holder and my paper shifted. However, that is such a minor thing as you can always just cut on the upstroke so the paper won''t shift.
I bought this item on May 26, 2012 and received it on June the 2nd. So, I''ve only had it for a few days but, I''ve already cut close to 1,000 sheets of chipboard and about 300 sheets of cardstock. this is NOT a small trimmer it''s heavy and its bulky so room may be of concern.
This has been the Best investment I''ve ever made.

After going through 3 cutters with my card making, scrapbooking and wedding invitation projects I decided to spend a little more money and get something that cut accurately and hopefully would last more than a year. My cutter arrived in record time and from the moment I made the first cut I knew I was not going to be disappointed. The blade is ultra sharp, it cuts through many papers at once, and is super accurate. I would highly recommend this cutter for precision cutting on all projects.Want Rotatrim RC RCM18 18-Inch Cut Rotatrim Professional-18 Cutter Discount?
This cutter / trimmer is well worth every penny. Yes it is a little pricey, but if your work is worth doing it is worth doing right. This trimmer will do exactly that. It is a very professional trimmer. You will not be disappointed, and I am picky. It cuts effortlessly and makes all cuts look absolutely professional. No bludgeoned, burred, ripped, torn nor frayed edges. You can literally cut a 1000th of an inch off if need be without the sheet shifting, creasing or caving under. I have cut almost two thousand 10 mil. sheets already in just a month or so and it works terrific. I am sure this trimmer could cut twice that thickness without effort.Make sure you evaluate what size trimmer you need. At first, I thought I needed a 24" trimmer to do the size photos I was trimming but after reading some of the reviews saying that you do not need as big a platform as you think you do, I decided to take that advice. And I am glad I really analyzed those comments. The 18" trimmer works great even for my 13" x 17" sheets. The overall length of the 18" trimmer is 24 1/2" with a cutting edge platform of 18 1/2". The short direction is only 12 1/2" wide but that''s plenty even with larger sheets. Even at that it does take up some desk space. But regardless of what size you need, you will not go wrong with this trimmer. An invaluable tool for crafts that require cutting paper. It allows precision cutting, and the 18 inch model is perfect for cutting small pieces of paper, as well as 12 x 12" sheets of paper. This is the only paper cutter I use for creating my own greeting cards and gift tags.

Concerns: I would be a little concerned in using card or label stock in this printer as the heavy paper has to do a 180 in order to print.
Just follow the "Start Here" brochure EXACTLY and the setup should go perfectly. It takes a little time to complete the setup so be very patient. I used my old HP power cord and USB cable. During the setup procedure you can make a test print. My test print came out perfectly. I then made a copy of the test print on the scanner and it made a perfect color match. After that was completed I set up my WiFi connection using the printer panel. Then I sent a photo from my iPhone 5 to the XP-600 which resulted in an ugly print on one of the two 4x6 sample sheets that came with the printer. Now what? Based on a guess I turned the remaining photo paper over with the good side down and did another iPhone to XP-600 print. This time the printer made a perfect photo print. You can also make perfect and fast 4x6 photo copies on photo paper of 4x6 original photos.
If you forget to pull the printed paper catcher tray out when you print the printer will stop and complain. When loading the regular paper tray please pay attention to the white triangle alignment mark on the front of the paper tray.
Summary: This is a whole lot of printer for not that much money and the price has been dropping lately. The software doesn''t talk at you like Lexmark but I don''t expect it to spill black inkjet ink all over my carpet like my late not so great HP printer. The big difference between the XP-400 and the XP-600 is the XP-600 is a faster printer with more resolution and has a bigger black ink cartridge. It also has an extra black cartridge for photos.

I write this only having used the printer for 2 days, but it''s so different from the other printers I''ve purchased, I''m compelled to share my experience. Connected set-up was a cinch. Haven''t set up wi-fi yet but it would appear to be fairly straight-forward. First I need to share that I''m partial to Epson after having used HP, Lexmark, and Canon printers; largely because of Epson ink, which I still think has no equal. Then 3 years ago, my slow but wonderful Epson Stylus 3 in 1 stopping working (though after replacing it I discovered I just had a bad cable; it still works very well, but is very large and unwieldy). It''s replacement was a lightweight Stylus 4 in 1 with extremely inconsistent performance. Because I print a great deal of text in my work, out of frustration last year, I bought an Epson Workforce-60 with the idea that if I just had a good solid printer designed only for printing that was fast, reliable and with quality output, I could still use the 4 in 1 for scanning and copying. What a joke. Seriously, the Workforce-60 has never printed a decent page, can be picked up with one hand and is cheap from one end to the other, like a toy. So again I started my search for the perfect ink jet printer, looking at reviews for about 6 months, but reluctant to buy more of the same!! However, last week, after the toy prevented me from a deadline, enough was enough. Amazingly, after all the reviews and comments, I again settled on Epson this Expression XP-600 which normally listed for $149. Again Amazon''s price rocked and was too good to pass up. I bit the bullet and went for it, though already owning 3 working printers, none of which I could recommend, I allowed myself no preconceived hope. When the delivery man said he would bring it up to the house for me as it was heavy, I thought he was implying I had no strength (I''m an older woman but not weak). But when he handed it over, the weight really surprised me. I thought, hmm, could this actually be a solid printer even with the small footprint? Yes, it absolutely is. After setting it up, I found it takes up less space than any of my other printers, though it copies and scans, has two paper trays and a CD-Rom tray. Yes, the ink for it is more expensive. But it''s the first printer I''ve had that has a special photo ink cartridge that fits alongside the other individual cartridges. Also, it uses a large capacity black ink cartridge only, which is great for me. So I decide my first printed document would be a complex multi-color containing a lot of tiny drawings within and extra small fonts. I absolutely couldn''t believe the output utterly fantastic, the crispest print I''ve ever had. I have to say Epson must have really been listening to unsatisfied customers when they designed this solid, compact, user-friendly, modestly priced peripheral. I particularly enjoyed recycling all 3 of my other printers yesterday. It''s not fair to offer a review of a product I have had for only two days since a reader''s biggest concern, reliability, cannot be determined yet. I was having more frequent lockups with my Kodak ESP-7 all-in-one so time for a new printer. Here are my brief observations:
1. Using test photos, I was initially disappointed with fleshtones and other colors using gloss photo paper. I tried the variables and different profiles with no improvement. Ultimately, the problem was solved by setting the printer to any of the matte paper settings (presumably provides more ink to the paper). As bad as my original photos were, that''s how good they became. In fact, using the printer''s own settings (No outside profiles in Adobe Lightroom) the match to the iMac screen was closer than I could ever get with the Kodak.
2. I saw no adverse effects by using the matte setting for gloss paper as the page dried just as fast with the gloss setting. Just deeper and more accurate colors, something I wanted to share with any reader as it might help solve a problem.
3. I was hesitant to switch from pigment based inks (Kodak) to dye based (Epson). My reward though, with direct side to side comparisons, showed the dye based Claria photos to yield an enormous improvement in saturation, contrast and depth of color in general. Stunning!
4. I thought the Claria colors were great on my 5 star Kodak premium 4x6 paper but then I compared the same photos to those that were subsequently printed on the two sheets of the Epson highest grade paper that were included as samples with the printer. Mind blowing, and a new appreciation for dye inks. The photos will probably not be able to compete with pigment inks in direct sunlight over time (who does that anyhow?) but the gains far outweigh the losses. The photos are amazingly beautiful and I ordered two boxes of the Epson paper and will never look back.
Why the gloss setting didn''t quite offer the ink saturation required for accurate photos I may never know. I will try it again just for fun when the Epson paper arrives. Maybe it offers less holdout. Also, after printing up a storm with all of my testing, I have a surprisingly large amount of ink left (with the standard capacitiy cartridges). I''m looking forward to other reviewers'' comments to compare printer settings. BTW, the printer does print from my iPad and iPhone. Really neat technology.

I really do love this printer; I initially gave it 4 stars because it lacked a document feeder and has a nagging output tray habit. However, I have upgraded it to 5 stars simply because the photo printing on this printer has so far outperformed any other printer I''ve tried in side-by-side comparison, including a commercial processor. This new type of ink is really something! Okay, here''s the whole scoop:EASY SETUP: Setup was super simple, as it has been with each of the Epson printers I have. Again, I chose not to even unfold the directions that came with the machine. Instead, I removed all the tape and packaging and plugged the machine in, trusting it to tell me what to do next for setup -and it did. (Kudos to Epson on packaging, by the way -one big bag, two styro pieces and a lot of blue tape, plus some protective film... not a landfill full of "packaging," for once!)
Again, I chose NOT to connect a computer to the printer for wireless network setup, simply because it doesn''t come with a USB cable and I was too lazy to go look for one. This means you need to "type in" your wireless network key on the printer display, using a multi-page alphabet/number/symbols set and directional keys to highlight each character of your key, then press OK, then go on to the next. Maybe I should have gone for the USB cable, but it lets you see what you are typing so you can fix mistakes. The printer initialized on our network without problem. I downloaded the drivers to the CD-less devices and used the installation CD for those with CD drives and setup on the computers couldn''t have been easier: Toshiba Netbook on Windows 7, an HP laptop on Windows 8, and a Dell desktop running Windows XP. The printer is AirPrint enabled, I see, but I haven''t gotten there, yet.
AMAZING PHOTO PRINTING: The printer comes with a few pieces of 4x6 Epson Premium Photo Paper but I was so impressed with the photo printing quality that I went out and bought more. These prints look better than the ones from our local photo printing shop! Really -did I mention the photo printing was amazing??? I was afraid that the ink supply after printing 3 photos, one which was very dark, would show noticeable attrition, but they are holding up well so far. And the photo print quality is AMAZING!
PRINTABLE CD/DVD: In a neat solution, this printer comes with a little tray that you can insert into the output tray and use to print directly on printable DVDs and CDs. I love this type of "labeling" and only regret that it can be hard to find the writeable media, especially at a decent price. However, I had some white DVDs and so ran one through. It is a little complicated to load the DVD -you have to remove a flat "tray" from where it is stored, tell the printer what you''re going to do and let it set itself up, THEN insert the flat tray into the printer and line it up correctly, but, thankfully, the display talked me through the whole process and the results were very nice. DO be sure to use the DVD/CD software that comes with the printer to design your label -it aligns everything to allow printing on jewelbox inserts and sleeves as well as printable media.
DUPLEXED DOCUMENT PRINTING: I expect a printer to be able to print, and this one does a fine job with crisp black and good color on regular white typing paper. Best part, as far as I''m concerned, is the duplexer, though. It''s a little noisy but why did we ever print things only one-sided for so many years? I''m afraid I''m not the person to ask about speed -the printer speed seems quite adequate to me. It takes longer to print photos than draft-quality text, as you might expect.
TWO PAPER TRAYS: There are two paper trays, one for "regular" paper and one for specially-sized items like envelopes and photo paper. The special tray has good guides etched into it so you know where to set the "sides" for each type of media. It also has a nice picture to remind you that printable side goes in face down! All trays are just a bit flimsy; they appear to be resilient but it is possible to, for example, get the edge of the top tray "latched" under the paper guide of the bottom tray if you are pulling a bit too hard.
BRIGHT "TOUCH-CONTROL" DISPLAY: The display is adjustable, from flat against the side of the printer to parallel to the top. The display is touch sensitive, very bright and easy to see and easy to navigate.
COPIER COPIES AND SCANNER... SCANS: The scanner table is practically the same size as the footprint of the machine and the scanning guides show max scan/copy size as 8.75" x 12"... however, you can only print up to 8.5" x 14". The scanner does a nice job of scanning various types of text, but there is no optical character recognition built into the Epson Scan software to make the scanned documents editable. The maximum scanning resolution is 9600 x 9600 dpi, but there is some depth of color loss during scanning even at the highest resolution. I scanned the pictures I printed and whether I displayed the scanned images on the computer or re-printed them, there was just less vivid color in the reproduction.
PUTS ITSELF AWAY: It can take this printer a little while to "wake up" if you haven''t printed to it for a bit. Then, if you pause in printing for several minutes, you will hear it go through a series of internal maneuvers before quieting. I''m not sure exactly what is going on, but I choose to believe that the printer is setting the ink cartridges up to be less likely to evaporate/dry out/leak, thus conserving ink over the longer term. If so, I think that''s great news. If not, please don''t disabuse me of this notion!
LITTLE QUIBBLES: I have gotten used to having document feed trays for scanning and copying and am sorry this printer doesn''t have one simply because it is such a TOP NOTCH little printer that I would probably move it into a spot of prominence around here, rather than relegate it to its original destination in the "hobby office" in the barn. The other argument I''m having with it is over the paper output tray. In both our other Epson printers, if you want to leave the output tray folded up and have your output fall onto the floor so you can roll over it with your chair, your printer will let you do so. This one won''t... it detects whether the output tray is extended and won''t print until it is, even though it is unable to extend it, itself. It''s a little annoying, although I can see their point... I do regularly wheel over prints that have fallen to the floor while trying to get to them, and that would be a CRIME with these gorgeous photo prints!
NEXT DAY UPDATE: I printed a few "challenging" 4x6 prints on my Epson WF-2540. There was no comparison to the XP-600; particularly with regard to the black, the depth of color from the XP-600 was simply magnificent! I then sent the same prints through Kodak grocery-store processing... again, the XP-600 print is SO much glossier and more crisp. I am going to keep this machine in the main office, document feeder notwithstanding!I don''t often right these, but we''ve had such bad luck with our printers, I thought this might help. We''d gone through three HP printers, all from Costco, in the past two years. The reliability just wasn''t there, and then when we bought Costco''s replacement ink-cartridges for the HP, apparently we voided the warranty for the HP printer? I was like, "what? are u kidding me?" Why would Costco sell me ink cartidges that would void the warranty of the printer?? Crazy, I tell ya.
Anyway, I had two friends suggest the Epson "small in one" printers, so I gave the HP back to Costco (thank you very little), and paid cash for the Epson.
Gotta say: Nice minimal packaging, Nice looking printer, Nice small footprint, AND very nice print quality (wow)!! It''s kinda hard to believe that the Epson was about the same price as the HP, cuz the print was much finer.
Anyway, I''m really happy with the Epson purchase, and highly encourage you to give them a try.

I purchased this item because I needed a good fax machine and got a great bonus with it being a laser black & white printer also! Inkjet fax machines cost a fortune in replacement cartridges and the Canon has a very good laser replacement cartridge at a good price as it gets 2,700 to 3,000 prints per cartridge. The quality is beautiful since it is a laser. Set up was very simple and the prints from my computer are professional. I also utilized the distinctive ring features so I know a fax is coming in versus a regular phone call and don''t pick it up. I highly recommend purchasing it.Read Best Reviews of Canon FAXPHONE L80 Laser Fax/Printer Here
I purchased this model around 6 months ago, and the problems continue every day. This machine won''t fax multiple pages...instead it likes to pull the whole 5 or 6 page set through at once, thus jamming and causing headache. Secondly, the machine likes to jam up while receiving. I am not the only one I know with these problems.I wasted good money on this product and I would suggest you not do the same. Now I''m off to buy a new one of a different model; the old Canon got a swipe of the sledgehammer. If you like a machine pulling multiple pages through at one time and being forced to feed each page before it shuts off, then this is the machine for you.I think the most frustrating thing about a fax machine, is when you put your four or five page fax into the feeder, and the machine sucks two or three sheets at once ruining your whole fax! I especially got this machine because I thought it was a quality machine, and wouldn''t do that, but I was wrong. Sometimes this machine sucks more than one sheet at a time which is very frustrating. I would stay away. It prints nicely, but it doesn''t help if it ruins your faxes. I see other reviewers have the same problem.

Printer From the printer''s sleep mode to the time first page is printed is only around 4 seconds, which is just simply amazing. One small thing to complain about the printing aspect is the print driver. I have a couple other computers on my network that I want to set up to be able to print to this printer, but won''t need the scanning feature. Well, the software that came with the printer is 250mb! The "minimum" installation is still 150mb. I figured there had to be a "driver only" option. After talking to HP, they showed me a 10mb executable that installs a wizard onto your computer to help you set up the network printer. After it is done setting it up, I can safely uninstall the wizard. They really should have included this wizard along with the installation disk, so minus 1/2 a star for that.
Copier This copier has all the features of an office copier, like auto document feed, priority paper feed tray, enlargement/reduction, dark/light, and of course number of pages. The ADF feature is awesome and fast, as it can quickly scan all your pages into memory before printing. One down side (same "problem" as the scanner feature) is that it takes a few seconds for the bulb to warm up (about 20 seconds). Once the bulb is warmed up, it can continue without any delay. I wish this part is faster, but it''s understandable, so no star deduction here.
Scanner Works great. You can set it up so that by pressing the "Scan to" button on the scanner, it will automatically scan and optionally bring up the scanner program on your computer, which will allow you to do many things, such as cropping, adjusting color/saturation, resolution, and many others. The bad part about this is that it takes a bit of playing around before I can find the option of bringing up this program. By default, the scanner will only scan and allow you to save the results to a file or send in an email. However, I discovered you can add a new target, and that can give you the option to bring up the scanner program.
Of course this printer has no fax. However, aside from that, it is the identical printer as the one with fax (3055). That printer is highly praised as well.
One more thing I like about this printer... actually, this is so for all HP and Canon printers. The printer cartridge contains both the toner as well as the drum. When you replace the one cartridge, you are replacing both units. If you buy non-OEM cartridges, the price is only around thirty-something. With other brands, you will need to change the toner when it runs out and then change the drum separately roughly around ever three toner changes. The price of this can certainly add up, as it is an additional component. Traditionally, drums are fairly expensive, so be sure to calculate that cost when trying to decide between brands. As for me, I think I have found a winner. Very happy.
Buy HP Laser Jet 3052 All in One Printer/Copy/Scanner (White) Now
I bought this printer after my HP 2100TN started needing us to press the button on the printer every time we queued a print job. At first the 3052 seemed the answer to our needs. It was very easy to set up for our home office and kids machines. It printed and copied fast and sharp. That lasted for about 100 pages and then it started producing a huge white area down the middle of the page. Removing and shaking the cartridge would fix this for a a few pages and then that stopped working. Faced with a long and frustrating time on the phone with support I decided to just get a new cartridge. This did the trick for about 200 pages and then it started missing the whole center section of the page again. Shaking the cartridge fixes it temporarily. Of course, it always does it when we are in a panic with a customer proposal or homework due that day. I am using genuine HP cartridges which are $55 each. My advice is to look at the competition. Great idea but it doesn''t print!Read Best Reviews of HP Laser Jet 3052 All in One Printer/Copy/Scanner (White) Here
This HP all in one printer/copy/scanner is just great. I''ve had mine for about a month now and I haven''t had a single problem thusfar. As far as printing, the printer is much like previous models of HP laser printers. The prints come out flawless and are crisp and dark. Speed was very important in buying a laser printer and this one lives up to my expectations.
The copy/scanning property of this AIO printer is easy to use and very powerful. While I can''t copy color photos (b&w laser printer), the scanning of any image, color or not, comes out pretty well on the computer. It is easy to tell the AIO printer to scan an image from the computer and the picture is conveniently saved as a jpeg at a location of my choosing. No fuss or hassles.
I''m currently a college student and copying class notes or study guides has never been easier. I just put the stack of papers into the copying tray, tell the printer to copy them, and it''s done...quickly. Long gone are the days when I had to run to the library or copy store and find change to get copies. This thing does it all.
The ONLY reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of the printer''s size. It is big. I imagine it is quite difficult to pack a printer/copier/scanner all into one printer and maintain a small size, but I think HP may have been able to do it. This printer does take up a large amount of desk space compared to other printers I''ve seen. However, it still beats having a separate printer and scanner, so I won''t complain too much.

I just shipped my HP 3052 back off to where it came from. I either have to really like something or really hate something to write a review on it, and I really hate this printer. I purchased the HP 3052 after reading some reviews on the HP 3055, and deciding that I didn''t need the fax capabilities of the 3055 which didn''t seem to work well for most people anyhow. Apparently, it''s not just the fax feature that is faulty, but the scanning and copying leaves a lot to be desired as well. I purchased this to replace my aging, but still working, 10 year old NEC SuperScript 860 laser printer. I needed something to make decent copies, and to scan in documents. Well forget it with this! You WILL REGRET buying this electronic "Made in China" garbage if you are planning on using this for anything other than a printer. This has changed my opinion on HP, as it will yours if you buy it.When I first power on the unit, I tried copying the Vonage advertisement that came with it by running it through the auto document feeder. The first thing I notices was that the ADF was loud. This was fine since noise isn''t too much of a concern, just as long is it functions well, and there isn''t anyone else around to be disturbed by it. After examining the copy, I realized the Vonage letters were stretched out about 1/8" about 3/4 down from the top of the letters. To make things worse, there was a 1 1/2" oval shape on the Vonage ad, which this printer distorted one entire side of, almost as if someone had tried to trace it with a pen. I tried several copies through the ADF with the same results over and over. I thought that maybe the stretched letters were due to a problem with the auto document feeder, so I tried copying the Vonage brochure on the flat bed. I did not see a problem with the Vonage letters being stretched when copying on the flat bed, but there was still distortion on the oval shape again. Next, I tried copying other documents with similar bad results. Copying bar codes revealed that when printing lines close together, the black bleeds between them! Edges on copied fonts were a rough as well.
Next I tried connecting the 3052 to my PC with USB 2.0. I ended up with an installation failed message on my first attempt at installing the software. Looking in device manager, I found a problem with installing the driver for "Generic IEEE 1284.4 printing support." I tried uninstalling and installing the drivers several times to no avail. I then tried a 400MB full download of the latest full driver release from HP, and had the same problem. Next, I tried a smaller 40MB driver release on HP''s site. This time I kept getting prompted to locate files that the installation could not find. After performing a search on my hard drive, I located them in c:\temp, where the installer must have extracted them to. I had to keep navigating the installer to this directory numerous times during this install. Much to my amazement, this install attempt actually ended up working.
Now I wanted to test the scanning functionality. The included scanning software is very basic. It does allow you to setup custom profiles for scanning resolution, destination, and paper type. I first tested scanning with the included Vonage advertisement again. The results were to say the list, shocking and very disappointing. First, the color scans were washed out. Second, the black on white text had extreme orange and blue halos around the edges, almost like looking at a 3d movie, without the 3d glasses. Third, there were some visual artifices, scanning inaccuracies, and scanned objects appeared wavy. Fourth, I got the same results as above when using the ADF for copying as I did scanning. I wish I could include a sample image so you could see the atrociousness for yourselves. Lastly, scans are slow, and I found that when scanning in 8 1/2 x 11 documents, they would often be scanned in skewed, no matter what paper the originals were on or how I adjusted the auto document feeder guides. Furthermore, when I scanned documents with print on both sides, the print on the opposite side would bleed through. From my experience with photo technology, my hunch would be that the cheap imager in this needs an enormous amount of light to scan, so that images on the opposite side of the page bleed through.
I really don''t want to say anything good about this printer, but I will say that printing looked very good, and it gets 1 star for this. Printing was crisp and clear, even with small fonts. B/W photo printing was on the other hand was mediocre, but who uses a B/W laser printer for photos anyhow?
My advice would be to look elsewhere for your scanning and copying needs. This might do for a cheap printer/scanner/copier for your kids, but not for a professional environment. I might purchase the Dell 1815dn as it has received good reviews, purchase a separate printer and scanner, or hold out until something better comes along. I hope this review has been helpful, and can save you from the hassle and expense of a return!I needed a printer that can do fax and make copy in the office, so I picked this one in a rush thinking All-in-One should have all functions. It turned out that I was wrong. This model does not have fax capability. I eventually bought 3055 again for the office and put htis one at home. It is a pretty good printer and copier. The only problem I have is that if you want to manually print double-sides, the roller seems to get dirty easily and the outputs are not so great.

This was shipped on time and works great. We didn''t lose a day at our media production company. And love this Brother printer!I gave up trying to use new aftermarket color tonor as I cannot find a good brand that works consistently.I finally gave up and went back to using overpriced OEM tonor, at least they do not make a mess out of my printer that is a nightmare to clean up, and they always print very nice.

The print quality is OK. We use to have an inkjet based fax machine and it was better.
When your comparing prices on these machines, be sure to add the cost of a replacement cartridge to the purchase price of this one (...)The cartridge that comes with it is only good for about 20-30 pages. I get that much junk fax in a couple of weeks. If you decide to buy this one, get a spare cartridge also.
We use this in a home office set up and only get a few of faxes a day. If you have high volume fax needs, this may not be the machine for you. It''s slow and I''m not convinced that it would hold up very long under high-volume situations.

What an improvement over our old oily-rolled-paper machine! I hated having cut those things apart and stand on them after they came in to straighten them out! You gotta love modern technology!I got this durable, handy-dandy, inexpensive unit about a year ago. Overall, I am very happy with it. Easy to set up and operate, it is attractive and fits very well in my small home office. Forgot to re-load paper before going out on errands and someone tried to Fax you a major order? No problem! It has up to 20 pages of memory. My only quibble is that, with lengthy out-going faxes, it must be "baby-sat" as it has only a 10 page outgoing tray. But how often do you have to send off a treatise?

I use this machine for light home office use and its worked well so far. Print quality is good but not great and the speed is OK, but its definitely not fast. Has a small footprint so it doesn''t take up much space. Set up was easy and the owners manual is relatively straightforward.Buy a spare cartridge immediately though as it only comes with a 30 page one. It works with my answering machine, which I was concerned about although it does play the message on my answering machine before receiving the fax so some folks have hung up and tried again thinking it was the wrong number.
For the money, its about the best you can do HP has more advanced (and expensive models start at around $200) but nothing else on the market that I was able to find had these features at this price (25 page memory, large paper input, phone).

Crisp, clear print-outs. Set up was simple, but my only hesitation is that the film that comes with the machine is only good for about 30 pages. I appreciate Brother being upfront about that in the manual (or other owner''s literature), but I wish that the "starter roll" of film lasted a bit longer.Easy to set up and use. This fax machine does a good job of sending faxes in excellent quality. My only complaint is that when receiving faxes, the quality of faxes this machine prints out is only fair. The print outs are a little faint in spots.
