Brother DR-620 Drum Unit - Retail Packaging
  • Drum unit has Approx. Page Yield Based on 5% Coverage8.5" x 11" Paper of 25,000 pages

I''ve been buying Brother drum units from Amazon for 2 3 years now (run a home based accounting business so go through 2 3 drum units per year). They all work great and as advertised. Based on my experience 1) the warning message about low drum unit can last a long time so no need to replace until you get the "drum life end" message and it stops printing (but that''s why you need to have one on hand) and 2) when you do replace the drum unit you need to tell the MFC that you have installed a new drum unit (read the instructions) that resets all the messages, etc.

I used to buy from Office Max locally but the Amazon price is 2/3rds of Office Max and usually I get free shipping so no contest. I still buy case paper from Office Max(wait for sales) no Amazon advantage there.

My last Brother MFC I got 94,000 copies/prints before it started making "klacking" noises and giving lots of false paper jam messages. But that more than paid for itself over and over again. So I just purchased the MFC 8890DW (my third Brother MFC now), installed without a hitch and is my new "workhorse".

We received a "Low Drum Unit" warning, leading me to purchase a replacement unit. I decided to wait until the print-quality degraded before replacing the unit. It''s been 6 months of heavy use now, I just replaced the toner cartridge, and the print quality continues to be excellent.

I''m sure I will need this unit eventually, but I''m glad I didn''t put it in 6 months ago.

I can''t speak for the other comments, but the one I just order and received IS a Brother product. So, don''t be frightened off!

I held off buying this for months because the description was ambiguous about whether it was Brother or brand-X. I even wrote Amazon support to ask (they were no help).

Now that the description is clearer (and in spite of the "not Brother" review), I ordered one 2/11. It is a (presumably) genuine Brother unit, in a sealed Brother box.

Nothing flowery to say, its a printer drum. It arrived in the specified timeframe and it works! I''d order again.

Ilford Premium Pearl 8 1/2 x 11 Inch Photo Paper 20 Sheets
  • Heavyweight Look and Feel of Professional Photos
  • Beautiful Pearl Finish
  • Instant Dry
  • Water Resistant
  • Compatible with all desktop inkjet printers

For the past six years or so, I''ve been using Ilford Classic Pearl paper exclusively. I love the satin finish and the beautiful prints I get from my Canon S9000 and iP4600 printers. However, it''s not cheap. So when I saw this on Amazon, I was tempted to give it a try.

The paper is not as heavy as the Classic Pearl, and the finish doesn''t quite feel as satin-y as the Classic Pearl, but it nevertheless produces outstanding prints. Gorgeous colors, excellent detail. I love this paper, and will start using it for most of my everyday photo printing. Great value, too.

The quality of this photo paper almost matches that of my professional print lab and is great for when I need a print or two now. It is closest to a lab''s lustre finish paper. It''s a little lighter in weight than a professional paper, but the prints look just as good.

I have used several brand of photo paper for my Epson 1800r. Again and again I am most impressed with Ilford paper. I particularly like their pearl finish. It is the best paper I have found for printing portraits and wedding photos.

Olympus A4 Standard Gloss Photo Paper for P-400 (25-Sheets) Save 20% off

Olympus A4 Standard Gloss Photo Paper for P-400
  • Standard dye-sublimated paper
  • Compatible with the Olympus P-400 printer
  • Heavy, bright white paper
  • Dries instantly, smearproof, and water resistant
  • Includes 25 pages of 8.5 x 11-inch paper

I just recently purchased the Camedia P-400 printer a few weeks ago and have used it quite a bit. I would have to say it is the best photo printer on the market today. While it doesn''t give perfect results (and this depends a lot on your photo image that you print) it comes close. From about 2-3 feet away you can''t tell the image came from a printer. Prints beautiful 8x11 photos. I haven''t used it with a digital camera yet, but have used it for files off my computer. Timed, it takes about 10-11 minutes to print a photo (color or b&w) and does make some noise (just as a laser jet).

PROS: Great quality photos, nice design, sturdy, easy to set up and use, works with smartmedia cards/pc cards/computer image files (.jpg,.gif etc.), photos instantly dry/no smudges or smears, photo paper quality is excellent

CONS: Only came with 5 sheets of paper and a photo ribbon for 5 prints, no cables provided for hook-up (not a problem if you already own a printer cable), expensive paper and ribbon (costs $1.60 per print)

If you are looking for a great photo printer and want professional looking prints buy this printer (if you can afford it).

I also should add you get 25 glossy photos per pack ($19.99) and the photo ribbon can print 50 photos ($39.99)

I just got my P-400 printer. Using XP operating system I found that they have not got a good print driver as yet but will sometime this spring. The print is beautiful. I still have much to learn about lightening the print. It seems to print on the dark side. Big drawback is the 7.64 x10 print rather than 8x10. It just barely covers under a frame and much harder to trim. I would like to know where the viewer from Olympia, WA gets their paper for 19.95 and ribbon for 39.95. Please write and let me know. Does anyone have a good price on these items? I want to keep costs down as I do a lot of printing. I am having trouble getting the USB port to print. It must be something I just don''t know. I would not be worried about showing these prints to any customer. creativeimages2@earthlink.net.

I''ve used this paper with my A2 printer and the results are amazing. The printer is as close to true dye sublimation as you can get at home. If your looking to make full use of this type of printer you need the best paper for the job. The Olympus photo quality paper is that medium. The color was vibrant and the end result was amazing. It is worth the extra few dollars when you compare this paper to its competitors.

SiPix PS00057 Thermal Paper

SiPix PS00057 Thermal Paper
  • Printer paper for the SiPix Pocket Printer A6
  • High-quality paper
  • Retains deep black color
  • 4 1/8-by-5 3/4-inch sheets
  • 100 sheets

I carry the Sipix A6 printer -and a box of Sipix A6 paper (sheets) -with me in my briefcase.

Having to feed the sheets one-at-a-time into the printer is a little inconvenient. But the documents, once printed and stapled together (with the mini-stapler I carry with me), are much easier to read and file than with the A6 roll paper.

The Sipix A6 thermal paper isn''t cheap. But thermal printing eliminates the need for ink jet cartridges -which keeps the printer smaller, less expensive (to operate) and much more portable -which is not a bad trade-off.

I bought this a couple times for my SiPix A6 Printer before find the same paper elsewhere, specifically a website that sells paper of various specialist types: Micro Format, Inc. From AceDepot through Amazon.com the paper is $13.99 per 100 plus shipping, from Micro Format the same paper is $25 per 500 plus shipping. You do the math for per sheet costs but Micro Format is significantly cheaper and you get larger quantities at a time.(I.E, it is $36 for a single carton with shipping and $62.24 for two with shipping, though they want a Credit Card) ACEDEPOT does not sell in carton (500 Sheet) and they want more per sheet than Micro Format,Inc. Simply put It''s cheaper to buy this product elseware.

I have a network with both Windows (XP and 7) and Mac (10.5.8) machines on it, and was in need of a new printer. I was looking to replace a trusty IBM InfoPrint 12 which had been in use on the network (via a router with print server) for over 10 years (and only two toner cartridges). I even debated about fixing the InfoPrint, but I was not sure what it would take, and I needed a solution now. At first I was only thinking about a stand-alone laser printer, both in terms of cost and function, but then decided to look into multi-function machines as I also have an ink jet multi-function (usable only by my work machine) that I did not mind removing.

These are the criteria that I had in mind while selecting a product:

* laser print: for crispness and consumables (my ink jet seemed to drink ink, or it dried up)

* duplex: one of the items I did not like about the InfoPrint 12 is the lack of duplex

* compatibility across several OS platforms

* ability to scan via the LAN and not requiring direct USB

I was not concerned about the size of the unit, as it was going to have its own table (though it is quite compact). I was also not concerned about the fax functionality of the machine. While it is nice to have if needed, I had only used my old multi-function to fax once.

Taking these into account, I could not find anything that met them as well as the Brother MFC-7860DW. There are some higher caliber machines, but these were designed for more active use and their price reflected that. Some may think the MFC-7860DW is pricey, but there are others which are much more so. Since the MFC-7860DW are very new, I had some questions and wanted to see one in action, but I was not able to find any in stores. My main question was the software compatibility across OS platforms. A sister product from Brother (the HL-2270DW) had excellent reviews in terms of platform support, but I''ve been burned before on assumption, so I e-mailed Brother''s pre-sales support. They confirmed that full functionality was supported for both Mac and Windows. It was time to purchase! I checked a few prices on-line and chose Amazon. Sure they were a few dollars more than the lowest but I like their delivery speed, customer support, and return policy (if needed). I also did not want to create (yet) another account for a single purchase.

The package arrived with some dents and tears in it (thanks UPS) but the printer was within a styrofoam shell and was unharmed. Unpack was a breeze, and the first function to test was copying -looked great! Next I hooked it to an open port on my router and started software install. My Windows XP machine had some trouble with the PaperPort software. I did not have need to scan from that machine, so I just installed the printer driver and moved on. Full install on the Windows 7 machine went well. The full install on my Mac was even easier. The newness of the product insured I had the most recent versions of the software too.

Now that I have it installed, functional, and run bunch of paper through it I am glad I chose this one. Not only did it meet my main criteria as previously listed, I''ve come to appreciate these items too:

* a 250 page paper drawer (I do not like how other printers leave the paper exposed to collect dust)

* toner saver mode

* wired, or wireless, network capability (I chose wired due to the next item)

* super sleep mode (only available if on wired network)

* the separate toner and drum design (I think that it is good as they have different service lengths)

So, no negatives you think? If I had to choose one it would be the noise level. It is noisier than the InfoPrint 12 was, but I can live with it given the other benefits of the machine.

Buy Brother Printer MFC7860DW Wireless Monochrome Printer Now

I purchased this from OfficeMax not on Amazon.com. In doing so, I spent months doing research trying to replace a really old Brother MFC-420CN which I loved. I wanted a Brother machine as they are durable, reliable and don''t wear as much as other machines (Always owned a Brother fax) Having said that, this machine was a dream come true, it''s inexpensive, small footprint and decent workhorse. Unfortunately the CONS outweigh the PROS.

PROS:

Fast printing

Attractive design

Small footprint for duplexer

Fast faxing

CONS:

Very noisy while printing

Flimsy ADF feels as though it will come off

Duplexer sounds like it''s in pain (noisy and very slow)

Starter toner cartridge gives you 200 pages @ 5% coverage

Here is a quirk:

If you have this in WIRELESS mode, that is the unit is NOT connected to the router via Ethernet cable, the machine *always* runs, even in sleep mode. The fan will stay on and its noisy. The lights (deep blue) will always be on.

If you have this in WIRED mode, that is the unit IS connected to the router or USB, the machine will enter "Deep Sleep" and looks like its actually off. No noise, nothing. (Lights are off)

This quirk is hard to find in the manual but there it is. Consider the noise level which I ignored when buying this and now regret.

Having never written a review for Amazon, I feel compelled to pen one.

I just installed my Brother MFC-7860DW printer this morning and couldn''t be happier. I''m replacing a Dell 1600N Multi Function Printer. While I generally liked the Dell printer over the years, it didn''t play well with Mac.

To give you an idea how this was set up, let me describe it briefly. The Brother was installed in my home network via an Ethernet cable to my Apple Time Machine. My iMac is hard wired to the Time Machine and I also have a MacBook that lives a wireless life. The installation instructions that came with the printer were quite clear and I followed directions for a "Wired Network for Macintosh". The installation and setup to my iMac took less than 2 minutes and worked right away. I then installed the software in my MacBook and also selected Wired Network. It also went quickly and worked right away. I use Ooma VOIP for phone service and the registration FAX was sent successfully however I have not yet received a FAX. I should mention that I''m just a regular guy and not a computer guru in any way shape or form. I just read the manual and followed directions.

I should mention that I''ve only had this printer powered up for a couple hours and my first impressions are very positive. I''ve printed one sided and duplex jobs with zero complaints. I''ve scanned to my iMac, perfect. I made a single test copy and it was about 90% on the quality scale (I haven''t messed with any sort of copy settings yet). I printed one envelope. It came out slightly wrinkled but not enough to not use it.

A few words about printer noise. I don''t think it is objectionable at all. My old Dell printer would run/hum for 30 minutes after a print job and was quite annoying. This printer powers up with an incoming job, prints it with minimal noise and then puts itself to sleep. Yes, you can hear it run but I don''t find it overly loud and certainly quieter than my old printer.

Time will tell but so far, I''m very happy with my purchase.

Alright, so I did a whole bunch of research before finally selecting this printer, and can honestly say that I am extremely happy with it.

I actually bought it from a different store during a promotion with a lower price + free gift, but I see that Amazon has it at the same price now. Btw, you should go to the 7860DW printer''s product info page on Brother''s website and easily check the prices offered by the various vendors that sell this item online or in stores. Quite efficient.

Now to the review.

1. Wireless is great. This thing comes off from deep-sleep in a flash and prints fast. Btw, some reviews said that it doesn''t go into deep-sleep (fully quiet) when on wireless, but only in wired mode. That is wrong info. I have it on wireless and it goes into totally quiet mode after 3-4 mins idle.

2. Looks nice and sleek. Matte finish, so it wont catch fingerprints and smudges.

3. Nice, clean design. Smooth shape & form factor, unlike some other printers I looked at which had weird shapes and ledges etc sticking out and have potential to break accidentally.

4. This thing is sturdy. No cheap/flimsy parts.

5. Auto duplex is very useful, and is extremely fast.

6. The initial install (i.e. connect printer to wifi network and install to first laptop) was a few simple steps with the provided CD. No problems. Install on my second laptop was even shorter. Both my laptops are Windows 7, one is 64-bit and the other is 32-bit. And yeah, the printer was able to get the network login credentials from my laptop during install, so I didn''t have to separately enter login/password etc for it. I thought that was cool.

7. I also installed Brother''s free iPrint/Scan app on my Android tablet and my Windows Phone, and can print pics and PDFs from those devices wirelessly. Sweet! (Hope they update the app to enable printing Word docs and Powerpoints as well. That would be quite useful).

8. ''Scan to'' xyz device function works great, including to my tablet through the app. Good quality color scans.

I''ve only had it for a couple of weeks, so if I discover new good/bad things, I''ll try and update this review.

Btw, every place I''d visited to check pricing and deals (the usual popular brick n mortar stores that sell printers), the sales guy inevitably praised Brother printers, especially for durability/quality over HP and Canon. And this includes the sales guys in stores where they do not work for commission. So I hope this printer stands the test of time.

Hope this review was useful to you. If you have any questions, please use the comments section below and I will try to respond quickly.

I loved the Brother HL-5140 laser printer --no problems for 5 years plus-but now need the copy/scan functions, (have no land line for the fax). I was hoping to try another company (thinking, what am I missing?). But after thoroughly researching what is out there (in terms of my values and needs -I like economical workhorses that don''t waste my time), I kept returning to the Brother MFC 7860dw.

I like to ride the tails of the new features, well after they have been tested and improved on, bugs fixed, and the price has come down AND I''ve checked the reviews on Amazon, of course. I went out to a couple big-box stores and played with menus, lifted and opened, ...enough to see which ones felt so cheap they would drive me crazy. In terms of a physical relationship with a machine, I felt we were a solid match, so I just waited for the right price.

After all that, you might say I was invested in the product before I even bought it, which is part of the secret of technology: Have fun, learn the moves and tricks, don''t assume anything, keep your sense of wonder about what the human animal has wrought (usually the layers of history of development show around the edges)-all before you are under pressure to produce anything.

I am embarrassed to say I read everything in all the deadening documentation associated with this product except the online knowledgebase and the how-to files. Here is my honest suggestion: Do NOT read the manuals at all. Throw them in the box in the attic. There are a few gems buried in there, but most of the documentation for these products makes little effort to truly serve the user''s real needs. Just learn on your own through playing around. Do write down what you learn or you''ll forget unless you''re using something regularly.

The most useful online support is a Troubleshooting document: read that before you have any trouble and you''ve learned from fellow travelers rather than from some bureaucrats paid to put out a document.

One point upon wireless set-up (not in the documentation): All was smooth until the machine was asking me to enter the numbers on the back of the router (the key, I think it''s called). I was stuck: whenever I arrowed to the next entry space on the machine''s menu, my entry would turn into an asterisk. Just keep going. This is what''s supposed to happen. -a little note in the documentation would have helped.

I''ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I''m very happy with my choice. I have a small office at home with a Vista laptop using Verizon fios wirelessly. I have a couple of friends I quickly/easily added for wireless use of the machine also.

The wireless scanning is plenty fast for me so I have not even directly connected my laptop to the MFC 7860dw at all, and may never. I hesitate to add wired usage since I do not want any problems. Though I enjoy technology, not that much. (Let me know if adding a wired connection--AFTER having so much luck with wireless--is smooth; There were some posts on an earlier machine saying otherwise.)

P.S.: my earlier Brother created a smell when printing and I would crack the window, this one doesn''t at all. The toner probably has been improved.

P.P.S: Software: I like the advanced mode of the Control Center 4 best -switch to that right away so you can see what changes you''ve made as you choose things either on the hardware or software. The code for Remote Setup is "access."

I find the PaperPort scanning management software (version 12) a great addition, but it has a long learning curve. You have to stay with it over time and don''t try to push it to it''s limits.

Good Luck.

This scanner is great for managing your home office paperwork and some pictures. Is not a great picture scanner but does an OK job for emailing stuff and Facebook type stuff. I would recommend a flatbed scanner for saving higher quality pictures.

The software packaged with the scanner is top notch. You can scan a document and add it to an existing document stack with no problem. The stack can be a pdf document too. The software adopts the My Documents structure (not sure if it does so automatically or if its a setting) and allows you to scan directly to particular folder.

Just scratching the surface of this product but so far I am very satisfied.

* One Star for the CEO of VISIONEER(c). "I" got the unit to work. It was blurry. Tech support was useless. I even talked to the CEO of the Visioneer and he complained that "I" took up too much of his tech support team in finding his problem. It was a fix THEY should have known about. Instead of focusing on the problem, HE considered our "team" effort of finding and resolving the problem, a problem. We have a term for people like this in the Marines, A554*1@. He should have thanked me for finding the problem and paid me for my time HIS tech support waisted.

I''ve never forgotten the disreprect this man showed toward the Corps, and will always NOT recommend his scanner, even though it would be great in the field. It doesn''t even come with a dust sleeve like the Road Warrior did.

And yes, I still use it for 1000''s of Marines a year. 1000''s. But recommend nobody get the disrespect NOT deserving of this excuse for a professional.

I bought this scanner and immediately noticed that one side scanned great while the other side scanned fuzzy. I tried to adjust the settings all day long but couldn''t focus the scanner on the one side, since I purchased a dual sided scanner it is important for me to be able to scan both sides as best as possible. So, I returned it and exchanged it for another one (same model) thinking it might have been an issue with that particular scanner. When the new one arrived it was worse. The one side still scanned fuzzy, but the "good side" now scanned with a lot of lines. I tried for hours to make the lines go away and nothing. I am now sending this one back too. I will consider other scanners since this one disappointed.

I''m keeping this scanner, only because it''s lightning fast and works great with Twain Multiple Acquire. However, if you''re an inexperienced and easily frustrated Windows user, you may end up throwing this against the wall before you get it working. I only thought about that, three different times. But since I''m a propeller head, I kept trying. Firstly, the quick start instructions were printed on one of those Huge 20" x 30" sheets of paper, folded so that each fold makes up a page. As you open the first fold, it says "Quick Start". I figured those two pages were the quick start part for impatient owners. So I followed it, where it ends with "Now turn on your scanner". Win7 failed to install it. Page 3 says "DON''T TURN ON YOUR SCANNER UNTIL TOLD TO"??? I then opened up the entire instructions, noticed my 2nd page was actually the 2nd step, and who ever designed it intended you to read across the top pages and carriage return to the 2nd row of pages. I thought it was like a Newspaper (top to bottom). REALLY BAD DESIGN to save money. Next when I did follow the instructions in the right order, I put in the CD and it went to install the drivers, and just ended and said "failed to install" (first thought to toss it against the wall). When I said Cancel, it said "Are you sure you want to Cancel?". YES. It went on and installed the rest of the software without the drivers (second thought to toss it against the wall). I immediately jumped to their web site figuring the CD is old. I did find lots of software and drivers for Win7. I started over with it, including a Hidden Devices EXE. They don''t explain what that is or when you need it, but I went through and manually deinstalled all software from them. Ran Hidden Devices, which looks around for some of their drivers, then takes you to Device Manager for your do delete any "hidden" versions of their drivers. I then tried their Web installs. It installed everything OK but wouldn''t feed in the calibration sheet (bad sign). I figured I''d try it anyway. Every time I inserted a document it said "Scanning". Then said "User has canceled Scan" (I didn''t). (third thought to toss it against the wall). Being wise and patient, I deinstalled everything. Visioneer has had a LONG history of poor installs and they continue to seemingly be unable to even deisntall their own software properly (same experience on a Strobe XP 100). It got so bad in the old days, you had to use RegEdit and delete keys. Well, hidden devices worked OK in this regard I think. I''m still puzzled because MANY other companies know exactly what to do to remove their old software, and install their new, right from within Installshield? Rookies. After about 8 years, they still haven''t figured it out and had to write that Hidden Devices kludge. At this point I rebooted and decided to try the CD again. Now it worked fine and went all the way through all installs and read the calibration paper (good sign). However, the One Touch from the old days was clear, set your size and auto feed scans to that size. I couldn''t get it to do a very good job and I had to press scan to start a scan. I wanted to just start feeding sheets and it takes care of scanning and writing it to a file. I can''t stop with both hands trying to feed my paper, just to click SCAN with my mouse! My old strobe would scan on insertion? This is really bad, but it WAS scanning finally. I killed their program and fired up my fav Image software and tried a Multiple Twain Acquire. You have to kill their OneTouch systray program or it will put you in a deadly embrace with the Twain driver, and you''ll be forced to kill your imaging software. (I''ll look for a setting to not start it at Start up) FINALLY........ by using Multiple Twain Acquire, I got to where I wanted: a panel that let me easily scan via auto feed, sheet after sheet after sheet. It autosized each scan, stopping at the bottom automatically, cropping accordingly. It did duplex about half the speed but was easy to switch back and forth from simplex, at the click of a button. Deskew worked good. 200 dpi was fuzzier than the my old Strobe XP 100. Higher dpi might be better. Also their duplex times are deceptive, they claim only a fraction of a second more for the reverse side. They make it sound like it''s 5 secs for simplex but 5.3 secs for duplex. But it''s really both the front and back times added together for 10.3 secs. It seems almost faster to flip the document over. But duplex DOES work. It has convenient controls for exposure and such right on the Twain control panel. If you try to feed your next doc in too soon it says "scanning page 2" but if you pull that page out, it never gives up waiting on it, and your only option is cancel, which tosses your first page. HOWEVER, it is so darn fast I could hardly keep up with it. It also does a great job orienting your image and trimming it. I did all my scans in half the time, just the first night. So I''m keeping it. But only because I had to fight this puppy to work the way I wanted to. OK for Win7 64-bit. I recommend Twain but will continue to test their mysterious, non-intuitive One Touch software. Oh yeah, you know where they say "Use A/C power *OR* USB Power"? Well you know what that REALLY is?? They give you a SECOND USB cable with a power plug on the end. So to go without A/C you have to use up TWO USB ports. Why does everyone else know how to get power out of USB, but these guys couldn''t figure it out unless they use a 2nd USB port? Caveat Emptor.

DYMO Address Labels for LabelWriters (30252) Save 44% off

DYMO Address Labels for LabelWriters, White, 1-1/8'' X 3-1/2'', 350 Labels/Roll, 2 Rolls/Box, 700 Labels
  • White address labels
  • 350 labels per roll
  • 2 rolls per box

  • Works with any Dymo LabelWriter

Wow! These lables are great! They arrived in a box, but not just any boxa blue box! They were rolled on two spools of 100% cardboard, perfect for my Dymo Label printer. It''s like they were made for each other! The labels themselves were just right. They were rectangular with an aspect ratio that made them well suited for addresses (my primary use for them). They were so white, like little uniform, rectangular snowflakes. As a bonus, they were covered with adhesive on one side. Because of this, I could peal them off the backing paper (free!) and actually stick them on envelopes without using messy glue or tape. For anyone who addresses envelopes, this product is a must!

I ordered 3 boxes of these labels (30252) from Amazon -NOT from a cooperating supplier. The packaging looked to be a genuine DYMO product. The DYMO logo appears on every side of the box, and you are urged to contact DYMO for postage.

The package I received looked exactly as pictured on the Amazon site.

The labels themselves, however, lack black squares on the reverse side of the label tape. My recently purchased LabelWriter 450 -and possibly other LabelWriters -refuse to print on labels that lack these black squares.

While I am not happy that DYMO locks its customers into buying their expensive labels, I am also not happy that Amazon shipped me counterfeit (?) "DYMO" labels that will not work in my LabelWriter 450. I suppose it is possible that DYMO added the black squares "feature" recently, and the labels I received were out-of date. Either way I have labels that simply do NOT work.

For more information on the "black squares" issue, See Answer #1 at the Global.DYMO website on the page ---> /enAU/Troubleshooting/LabelWriter_Duo.html

I use a Dymo LabelWriter 300, which is fabulous, and these labels are fabulous. But be careful when ordering, as these products come from Office Depot who will gouge you with exhorbitant shipping costs sometimes more than the labels themselves.

This was a great price for paper and was used for temporary outdoor banners. I was hoping for better quality but I printed these myself and could not expect professional quality (gloss, waterproof, etc). I didn''t have any paper jams, the only thing is that my paper cutter on my HP plotter could not cut through the banner so we had to cut these ourselves with an exacto razor.

We used this paper to send out about 200 invitations to our 50th wedding anniversary using MS Publisher to work up the format. Looked quite nice.

Other reviews have pretty much described the paper; the "texture" is very thin lines about 1/32" apart embossed in the paper and runs the same direction as the fold in the card. The envelop is also textured and the lines run from left to right.

The feathering is on one end of the paper and on the envelop flap. Might note that we used eleven boxes and the paper size varied in length from box to box by as much as 1/4" but within given box, the paper was pretty uniform.

Print quality with our HP Officejet Pro L7680 printer was fine. However, when you read on the Avery package that this product was intended for single copy printing, believe it. Our printer would NOT reliably feed even a few copies automatically. The same is true with the envelops; they also had to be printed one at a time. AND we had to tuck the flap inside the envelop or a good percentage of the envelops would not feed through straight.

One final printing note: the printer had difficulty properly registering the paper when the feathered edge was fed in first. Perhaps 10 15% would print slightly crooked on the page, or too close to the feathered end or both. Never found a solution to that other than to rotate the page 180 degrees in Publisher and feed the paper the other direction.

All that said, overall we were pleased with the resulting invitations and will be using more of this card stock.

I am very pleased with my purchase.

I couldn''t find this Feather Edge Greeting Card paper in the stores

or on line and I just love the look of the greeting cards made with

this card stock. This was also the first time that I got such a deal

on the price of this card stock and so I took advantage of the price

and purchased six boxes and I will do it again if they get more stock

in at the same price and the delivery was also very fast.

I live in a retirement community. I made one card and everyone liked it so much that I now have a job of making all the cards for our morning coffee group birthdays, and other important occasions.I contribute it to the beautiful paper.

Was so excited to try this product -as I really like the other textured cards I have purchased. I use them to create my personal stationery and the texture really conveys a special quality. However, the textured paper used for this product was an unfortunate choice, because it was a very thin stripe -a striated effect-which led to not only uneven printing ( using my HP7400), but also when writing on it with a rolling ball pen.

Now--if they would change the paper to the one that is used for textured cards that don''t have the feathered edge and use it for these as well, then it would be a really great product!

The Avery Feather-Edge Card Stock is a wonderful product. The stock is quite heavy and with the feathered edge of the front of the card it makes for a very professional looking product. This product is far and away better than most that can be purchased in retail stores. We are extremely happy with this product.

Thought I could use it to photograph my supplement bottles to post online, but too much glare from labels which have a sheen. Hoping it will be useful for other applications, so did not return it. I already have a flat bed scanner. And it prints beautifully, so I''m still happy.

i am beyond frustrated with this printer! the ink flakes SO BAD and I use the EXPENSIVE genuine HP ink from office depot. I use this for my business and literally it was a WASTE of $250. I am at a loss and am just very sad about it...

Bought this printer from Staples three week ago.....We never had a laser printer

in the past....So we didn''t really know how it could perform....

Well, we are very happy with : color, tone, clear prints, wirless feature and price....

It was easy to assemble and it came with a an installation CD, however as an easyer option we were able to install the printer, on our desktop PC, with the USB cable alone (following the on screen instructions)....

We then installed the printer on the laptop PC using the CD since the laptop was in another room....

With the touchscreen, Wi-Fi can be turned on and the installed PC''s will operate

the printer wirelessly....

It has other Features, such as: HP top shot scanning, 3.5" touchscreen, web-connected app, HP ePrint, HP airPrint and wireless direct printing (prints from moble devices)....

This printer seems a bit slow on color and HD printing, but we are happy with it all....
