I ordered one cartridge, the quality was very poor. I posted a review here, within 24 hours the company contacted me, apologized and shipped free replacements which work perfectly. It was really the best most thorough customer service I''ve seen in a long time. I''m satisfied and would buy from them again.

This product sounds like a great deal, but I was very disappointed in its quality. It does not work well with the printer and has caused several malfunctions. I''m switching back to the original HP cartridges despite their steep price tag--at least I know they work.

The product details very clearly list this as remanufactured/compatible, so it was my fault I ordered these, but with "genuine" and "brand name" in the title and the original packaging for the picture, you can see how I might have been confused. Hopefully, they work better than the last remanufactured ones I bought.

I was very disappointed when I received my ink cartridge since it was defective. I wanted to return it but it would cost me nearly as much to ship it back as it cost=$ 8.88. I decided to contact a cusotmer service rep and they were able to ok a refund once I complained. But if I hadnt complained and contacted a service rep, which 90% of people would not have done, then I would have just had to accept it and be out $ 8.88. I dont like their refund policy which states if you have a defective cartridge then you have to pay for shipping which is ridiculous when they are the ones responsible.The company knows that if you have to pay the shipping cost that will eliminate 90% of the complaints and return costs that they would have to pay. I will never use this cartridge replacement company again despite them refunding my money.

The product works perfectly with my HP printer. I carefully noted my printer''s model number and the model of the cartridge I had previously to make sure it would work. I double checked that with Amazon''s tool to be absolutely sure this was the right cartridge. The cartridge is the exact size and shape of my current HP 56 cartridge, but of course has a different label. It is in every way indistinguishable from the original other than the label. This is a great product for the price. I just started using it. Not sure how long it will last, but since it only costs 1/5 as much as a new HP cartridge, if it only lasts 1/5 as long as the last one I will still be satisfied.

I work for a general contracting company and we just replaced a 10 year old hp plotter with this with the intention to speed up the plan printing process for subcontractors. Sure, this plotter prints a bit faster and has nearly no down time between drawings but the fabric paper catcher is completely useless. It makes the prints pile together in tight rolls. Let me restate our purpose for purchasing a new plotter: To save time. It takes more time to sort out the small rolls of plan sheets and stack them together than the printer saved from just printing faster than our old one. Seriously, I don''t understand how this stood up in the testing phase of this product''s development. Now we have to rig something together to stack the sheets as they print. Such a tacky thing to add to an otherwise nice looking new machine. It''s very unfortunate and I am extremely displeased with this plotter.

I also bought this printer as part of a bundle (came with a scanner) at a pretty decent price, but not quite this low. I''ve been a geek for over 10 years now, so I''m pretty good ad judging cost vs. value when eyeing new peripherals. This printer is exactly what I expected it would be. Decent printing at a very reasonable price. The setup (including reboot) took about 3 minutes (USB) on my WinME system. All of the other computers on the network picked up the driver and were instantly able to print without having to install any additional drivers (except the Win2K machine, which I did have to download and install separately). I haven''t had any bleedthrough with my paper, but I also have the printer set to print using "less ink" (printer properties). Anyone who purchases this printer will be using it for casual home use, so there''s no reason not to. It saves a lot of ink! Don''t expect photo quality from this printer (or any printer for this amount of money). If that''s what you''re buying it for, go look at the 900 series.

Buy Hewlett Packard DeskJet 648c Printer Now

This printer is pretty much the same quality as the rest of the 600 series, which means that the B&W printing is fine but the Color printing is mediocre and grainy, but it does get the job done. I will note that when we first tried to hook this up to a brand new out of the Box Win98 PC via the USB port it refused to work and only finally cooperated when we hooked it up through an old fashioned Printer Cable. I don''t know what benefits, if any, would have been had through a USB connection but HP shipped the wrong drivers in the box aparently so we never found out, and the HP Website Patches didn''t help either. In any case I''m MUCH happer with the 900 series.

I bought a new HP computer and along with it came this printer. I have used HP printers and I find them very reliable. They are very sturdy, easy to assemble, their ink cartridges are easy, and they have good tech support. You need to realize, however, that this is not a top of the line printer by all means. This is not for someone who does more than 4 print jobs a week. It is a very basic and simple printer. It prints out semi-slowly. I would say one page typed in 20 seconds and one page of color and type in 1 to 2 minutes. So it''s not very fast. It is pretty reliable with a few problems here and there that can be fixed if you are computer literate at all, or you can call tech support. The price is very cheap which is nice, but don''t forget that the cartridges are $40+.... that''s what fools many. Overall I recommend this for simple and non-frequent users. If you use a printer on a more regular basis, look into the 810 series or 900 series....

I got this printer as part of an hp package, and must admit that I had my doubts about it''s performance. I am pleased to report that it has proved me wrong, and hasn''t failed me yet. It''s remarkably quiet, and plenty fast enough for my needs. Black and color text are both crisp, and images are clear.

I found the printer satisfactory. I paid [money] for it, with a rebate. So the price was great. I bought it in September 2001. In February 2002 it began to print everything at an angle. Now I can''t get the paper to move through at all. The 90 day warranty has expired. I had little more than 5 months of use.

HP D5460 Photosmart Printer

HP D5460 Photosmart Printer
  • 9600DPI 64MB USB PRINTER

I purchased the Photosmart D5460 as a replacement for my five year-old DeskJet 5650, mainly for CD/DVD printing capability. Here are my notes:

Setup/Installation:

Large footprint at 18" wide x 15" deep, plus 6" more required in the rear when using the CD/DVD tray.

Basic driver from HP''s web site has all necessary functionality, just without pop-up ink level displays. I use Nero Cover Designer for CD/DVD labels, so I didn''t bother with the bundled software and its limited functionality.

Driver has "Printing Shortcuts" to create presets for different paper and quality combinations. Nice concept, but see below about the ink volume setting.

Ink usage:

Performs very frequent and lengthy "preparation" routines that consume ink. If the printer has been idle for a while, it goes through a 95 second routine before printing. The printer then runs another 30 second routine after finishing the printout.

Default driver settings use too much ink enough to bleed through my paper.

"Printing Shortcuts" feature doesn''t save the ink volume setting. I created a few shortcuts with reduced ink volume, but any time I selected them, the driver returned the ink volume slider back to the default.

Print quality:

Good results in Normal and Best modes as good as my old printer, but no major improvement.

Below average results in Draft mode worse than my old printer. Vertical lines on the page are very jagged.

Inks are not water-resistant at all. Any moisture will cause colors to lift off the page and smear/run. Black is better but still problematic. You must use HP Advanced Photo Paper for water resistance, but obviously that isn''t reasonable or practical for non-photo use. Epson and Canon use water-resistant inks, why not HP?

One final thought:

The print head (part# CB326-30001) is removable, but it is NOT available for purchase from HP or any retailer. The only way to obtain it is via HP Warranty Repair. In other words, when the print head clogs or wears out after warranty, the printer is going in the trash because HP doesn''t sell the print head separately. So much for HP being "green".

Buy HP D5460 Photosmart Printer Now

This Photosmart Printer is the best. It makes pictures so good you won''t believe they came from an inkjet printer! It also prints in color on CDs/DVDs a real plus. Another plus is the replaceable printhead. Instead of trowing away the printer, you can replace the head if it becomes clogged.

The only complaint is the the ink gauge it doesn''t work. The software said I was out of colored ink but I am still printing! I have printed 20 photos and some labels and still going strong. There seems to be no way to tell the actual ink levels even a reasonable close estimate!

Based on manufacturers'' specifications, this printer has incredibly low per-page printing costs, provided you use the 564XL ink cartridges. They''re hard to find, but well worth it.

The print quality looks great for photos, text, or printing on CD, but then again I''ve only had this printer for a month. Every printer generates great output when it''s new. The second black ink cartridge theoretically produces crisper text, and indeed the text output is crisp, but again: it''s a new printer. Ask me again in a year or two.

I bought this to replace an Epson Stylus R300 for printing directly on disks. Since this printer was designed after that California class action lawsuit, hopefully it won''t start screaming for cartridge replacement when there''s still 25% left.

Unlike the Epson Rxxx series, this printer comes with a slot for storing the disk printing tray, which is a great feature. My old Epson printing tray got warped from bad storage over time.

There''s a separate paper tray for your 3x5 photo paper, so you don''t have to remove your 8.5x11 paper any time you want to print a photo.

The LCD panel is backlit, so you can see error messages even in a poorly lit room.

Printing seems to be faster than on my old Epson, but I didn''t exactly time it to be sure.

The print to disk software that comes with this printer is -like most HP applications and drivers -bloated and useless. HP must be hiring programmers from Creative Labs or something. It may actually be useful for novice users, but the rest of us aren''t happy about being forced to use a small number of templates with no ability to customize the layout. While the printer itself is great, I would suggest looking for a 3rd party application for designing and printing disk labels. The free utility that comes with both the OEM and retail versions of Nero works quite nicely. In terms of disk printing software, the Epson Rxxx series beats this printer hands down.

The web printing software was cumbersome, didn''t do much, and only works in Internet Explorer.

As with most HP products, install the drivers only.

Replaced a 4 year old Epson R300 Printer with The HP D5460.

First, if you ever used an Epson Printer for printing CD or DVD are you ever going to be disappointed with the HP. You don''t have the flex ability in sizing. With max setting I get a hairline area that the printer won''t print on up the right side of the disc. Email HP tech support over 2 months ago and there problem solving was worthless. Just very little adjustments. Epson Software you could do just about everything to include move it all around for alignment.

Second, HP Home Essential Software just sucks. I don''t know how else to describe it. Very limited software for editing just about everything. You have to use a different program to edit a cd/DVD picture the way you want it then go to HP software to print. You can not even scan cd/DVD''s into the HP CD/DVD print software.

Print quality is good if you use high quality printing but you will use ink.

I have used this printer for 2 months before writing a review and I am glad I did. Try to print off size envelopes. A breeze with Epson, not HP. I am going to sell this printer as soon as my new epson arrives. I will never buy HP printer again!

I bought this printer because it was highly rated in Consumers Report. Big mistake. The print quality is great, but you will have to take out a 2nd mortgage on your house to pay for the ink. It goes through ink cartridges ridiculouly fast I loaded all new cartridges and printed a Xmas letter with pictures it was out of ink before 20 pages were printed. I think of HP as an ink company that sells their printers for cost just to get you to buy their over-priced ink (kind of like your local heroin dealer). If you buy this model, you will be sorry. I also have a model D 7160 and it is much better.

Casio used to be a trustworthy quality brand name for small electronics. This product does meet the basic published specifications. However, the "details" should cause the potential buyer to look at some other product. To date, the key functions have been found to be counter-intuitive by five different people. The User Manual is worse than terrible. The support telephone number leads you into a maize that ends with a request for a chargeable credit card. No on-line support for this model could be found at the Casio web site. And the crowning detail is that the printer output lines cannot be read until about five "lines" after each line is printed. The only good feature of this calculator is the ease of paper loading. This is a good feature because you will be probably be using about 4 times as much paper than with any other printing calculator.

I highly recommend a Thermal printer over any other kind-

I ordered this machine because I wanted a large, bright display. My eyesight isn''t what it used to be. And the display is great.

The manual, however, is awful. It is in many languages. The print is small and what it says is not very informative. It does show samples. If you are used to this type of machine, it is probably adequate, but I''m not.

I have been able to use it, but I haven''t had the patience to learn all the things it can do.

Also they only include a tiny roll of paper.

I have owned various printing calculators (3 from Sharp and two from other makers). Every one is broken now and I needed new one and bought this, because it doesn''t need ink ribbon and the paper stays protected.

This calculator is better than expected. It works very quietly and has many interesting functions like ability to change its font and store results. And this is much faster than those which use ink ribbon. I''m very satisfied with this calculator.

This Canon printer is super wonderful! I also own the Canon PIXMA IP100 Mobile Photo Printer since Feb 2009. I love that printer because it was mobile, small and printed beautiful photos as well as documents. But lately is started to have a few problems (going to have it repaired) that I had to put it on the shelf for this new Canon MX452. I really wanted something that was 100% wireless without sending it a cloud. This printer does everything that is says it will do and more. Printing, scanning, and faxing is a breeze! And it really is 100% wireless! I installed the software (CD) that came with the printer on my Windows 8 PC with no problems at all. There are a few programs that are helpful that work well with your printer. The Canon website also has the software on line, but then you have to install each program individually.

I had to use the printer USB cable that came with the printer in order for me to connect wireless. But you may or may not need to use the cable like I had to in order to set it up. The software and cable came in handy and connected me right away. After 1 minute the printer recognized my network. I put in my network password and connected and then the installation CD asked you to remove the printer cable to then go wireless. The only cord that is used is the power cord and the telephone cord for the faxing. Best part is I can print now from anywhere in the house from my laptop or tablet and even my Android cell. Goggle play has a Canon app, but it''s really not needed since mostly every program or web page has a print button to click on. Just make sure you don''t turn off the printer power button. When the printer is not in use the printer will just go to sleep to reduce the power. But as soon as you click print or any other feature the printer will wake up immediately.

Printing documents is sharp and clear. This printer uses 2 ink tanks (color & black). Most printer brands these days use 5 or more inks cartridges. So it really depends on how much color printing you use to notice any cost savings in using 5 tanks verses 2 tanks. So far the ink that came in the box is still going strong and has not run out. We use the printer for personal use everyday. The only thing I wish Canon would of spent more time in perfecting this printer is adding more tools to the scanning features of the printer. Needs work, but will get the scanning job done. This printer even has an area just for scanning photo negatives. Photo printing is really nice, but I didn''t really purchase this for my photos even though they do print beautiful. But overall for the low price and for everything that this printer does it is a purchase that I would truly recommend with flying colors!

Buy Canon Office Products MX452 Wireless Color Photo Printer Now

Although I have only had this for less than 24 hours, I want to say this is a great printer, copier, scanner. Set up was so simple compared to others I have dealt with. The wireless connection so very easy and set up right away. So far no complaints and I highly recommend this product. The only thing I would change is the panel does not light up so it is hard to see if you do not have adequate lighting but most things, ie scanning can be done right from your computer. I will not be using the fax option so I cannot comment on this. I had previously owned a Dell All In One Printer and it was very complicated and just did not do the job.

Rolodex ROL82431 Wood Tones Printer Stand Save 44% off

Rolodex 82431 Wood Tones Printer Stand, 21W X 18D, BlackI bought this stand with the hope that I could place my scanner in the lower compartment. My scanner at it''s tallest point is just under 2.75". Before buying the stand, I read the reviews here and elsewhere and could not find the dimensions of the compartmentsnot even on the Rolodex website. Figuring it had to be closeor I could just use it without the bottom shelf, I bought it anyway.

Well, the stand comes fully assembled and the bottom compartment is 1/4" too short for my scanner. For the record, the dimensions are: 18.25" wide, 2.5" high, and 11" deep (depth is limited by an internal partition for the cable management). For completeness, the upper two compartments are 9" wide, 2.5" high, and 14" deep. Each of the upper compartments have ~1.5 circular hole on the shelf for cables to pass through, and the holes are about 4" on center from the front lip of the shelves. The bottom shelf (and the rest of the pieces) appears to be glued in place.

Even though I cannot use it as I planned, I''ll keep it. The price was right, especially with the Prime shipping. And it gives me a tad more desk space, since its footprint is narrower than my wide-format printer, which now sits on top. 4 Stars because *I Like It*, but don''t *Love* it.

Item arrived quickly and well packed. I have a black PB corner unit desk and this piece matches perfectly without taking up too much space. The top of the stand is 21x18 ,but the bottom footprint is 19x14.5. It is 6.5 inches tall. It is very classy and sturdy enough for a 3-in-1 printer. There is an plugged up access hole in the back that you can unplug and run wires through for chargeable items that you may want to store on the bottom shelf,such as phones and cameras.

I''ve got a very plain desk without a lot of storage space, so having the cubby holes in this stand is a great feature. It saves space and clears desk space since I don''t have to have papers scattered all over my desk. I love it and would highly recommend it whether you want it for its intended purpose of a printer stand or as a monitor stand.

I have a large corner desk and use this as a computer monitor stand. I love it. It gets my computer screen up and away from my face and also gives me lots of storage for the files and notes I''m working on. Also, because it''s not built as a corner unit there''s a gap between the stand and the corner where I can hide a surge protector. In addition, I can place my keyboard, when I''m not using it, on top of the stand just in front of the monitor and this clears up more desk space. Very functional!

I had first purchased (locally) a very style specific, black with wire mesh, printer stand made by the same company as this one. I am sure it would have been fine, BUT, I like simple, clean, uncluttered, minimally detailed lines and cutouts, because I like ease of cleaning. Might sound silly, but we have a dog, we don''t live in a hermetically sealed unit, and my hubby and I are "the maid." The fine metal mesh of that stand screamed WORK to me...think cleaning the holes in a very fine sieve...and it went back to the store.

This stand, OTOH, with a satin or matte black finish (closer to satin), is a breeze to swipe clean and since it isn''t high gloss, doesn''t show prints.

It is strong, the style is clean and simple, it should be able to fit into just about any scheme if for no other reason than that it is so unobtrusive. Ours sits atop part of two filing cabinets, has a large Canon multipurpose printer on top (with room to spare side to side), and we have over two reams of regular paper, various grades and sizes of photo paper, and several other specialty papers & films all neatly stashed underneath and close to hand. Viva vertical storage!

A final note, this stand has been designed to help control cord clutter and to use a (sold separately) USB hub, I can''t speak to any of that yet because I will worry about cords and (maybe) more hubs later, but I appreciate the forethought that went into the design.

Great multifunction machine! Let me break up this review in the positives and negatives:

Positives:

1) Excellent compatibility with OS X. I''m currently using 10.6.5 and right out of the box the OS recognizes the printer. But I installed the driver from the CD anyway because it comes with the scanning software.

2) The scanning software is awesome! No-frills... it just works! You can scan into tiff, jpg, pdf, etc., and customize the settings in a very brainless way. I imagine that the scanning software will be great for anyone who isn''t entirely computer-savvy. You can queue up pages to scan via software, as opposed to pressing buttons on the machine itself, in hopes that your computer understands what you''re trying to do. This may seem like a silly "positive"; I put it here because other machines (like some Canon''s) require you to do exactly that, consequently suffering from network communication inconsistencies/incompatibilities.

3) The print speed is very fast. The box quotes something like 27 ppm... I don''t know if it gets up that fast, but from startup to the first page out I think it only took about 45 seconds. Subsequent pages came out probably every 2 or 3 seconds.

4) The design is rather compact for a multifunction machine. The buttons do not feel cheap (like some of the cheapo inkjet printers). Not too bulky; not too heavy.

Negatives:

1) When doing 2-sided printing, the duplexer is LOUD. Lots of mechanical things happening that sound like this machine may be subject to wear and tear rather quickly.

2) I first hooked this machine up to my Airport Extreme via USB and tried scanning. The scanning software wouldn''t recognize the machine. So I reconnected it to the Airport Extreme via ethernet-that worked. It''s too bad because the Airport Extreme has a USB port that''s dedicated to a printer, and now I have to use up one of my 4 ethernet sockets.

3) While the design is pretty slick, I wish they built it so that the paper doesn''t stick out. I''m not a huge fan of the plastic "dust cover" over the paper tray... it looks like it can break easily if you accidentally open it up wrong. Also, there''s another tray, or fin, that you install to the front that props up the printed pages that come out-this piece REALLY looks like it will break if you put some weight on it (e.g. your cat decides to stand on it).

Nonetheless, this machine is SOOO much cheaper than other ones in its class. That saidall of the negatives seem acceptable.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UPDATE: (3.20.11) I''ve used this machine for a few months now, and it''s starting to jam up more and more often. It seems that the jamming only happens when I''m printing double-sided. Some comments regarding the duplexer: If you plan on printing a long-ish document, like a 20 page essay, then the double-sided duplex is fine for the job. But if you''re planning on printing, say, 100 copies of a single-page double-sided flier, it would be a LOT LOT LOT faster to just handle the double sided printing by hand. Allowing the duplexer to handle this same print job took a MUCH LONGER time than when I just manually flipped to the back side for the second pass. We''re talking about 1-2 minutes if done by hand, versus about 8 10 minutes via duplexer (assuming it doesn''t jam).
So far, I''ve accumulated about 1500 pages of printing. Using "econo-mode" set to 3 (out of 5), I''ve managed to only use 20% of the stock cartridge. Not too bad.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

UPDATE: (10.10.12) If you have upgraded to Mountain Lion, DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!! HP had to update their scanning software, which is a complete POS!! It takes up to 3 minutes to scan one single page black and white at 100dpi. Total garbage. What worse is that HP has not fixed this problem since their last update 4 months ago, despite countless Mac Users'' complaints. Update to 2 stars.

It is caused by a defective part inside the printer which HP has supposedly fixed on the newest ones off the production line. The catch is that if you buy one of these printers and the ADF fails then you are stuck getting a refurbished printer and guess what odds are it will have the same problem within a month or two. I have documented cases where one of these printers or the refurbished replacement has lasted only 2-3 months. You would think the printer is being overused and that is simply not the case. Usage in the example that was replaced twice in the first 3 months of ownership was right at 500 ADF pages per month. So if you make say, 10 copies and fax 7 pages from the ADF every day it is highly likely that the ADF will fail within about 1 to 6 months of use. If you call in for support you will be suck on the phone for at least an hour "troubleshooting" the printer even though HP already knows it is a printer design flaw. If you buy this printer you are taking a big chance. Even if they have indeed fixed the problem on the newest printers HP has lost my company''s business thanks to all the time and trouble they''ve caused with this defective design. Maybe if HP decided to produce a quality printer product like they did 10 to 15 years ago I would consider them again. The same size offices that are still using 5+ year old HP LaserJet 3030 multifunction printers can''t get more than 6 months out of an HP M1536dnf. The duty cycle ratings on the two models are about the same so obviously the quality has slipped seriously.

We purchased and installed this printer for a client, we tested everything and it all worked fine. Unfortunately that was the last time it worked fine. After that any time we tried to use the document feeder we got a ''Mispick'' error. The HP support person said I should clean the rollers but also admitted that we would not normally have to clean a printer''s rollers the day after we got it. I exchanged it for a new one. Unfortunately and much to my embarrassment with the client, while setting up and testing the new printer I noticed that the lid''s hinges were extremely loose, and the lid would wobble with the hinge coming off and more than an inch away from the bed. HP again acknowledged that this was not normal and offered to send a replacement. So while I can''t fault their customer service, I can''t take the risk of getting a third bad printer while my client doesn''t have a fax/copier or printer. I think this is a bad, cheap plastic printer. I would not recommend it.

Went on the search for an all-in-one laser printer, scanner, fax, copier. Considered HP, Samsung & Brother. I bumped into the Samsung (SCX-4826FN) at the office of a facility I was working at a couple weeks ago they were not crazy about the reliability other than printing (auto-document feeder jams, paper jams every once and a while, software issues with scanning). Then I bumped into the Brother I was looking at (MFC-7840W) at a hotel business center it was not printing properly. I thought that was a bad sign. So I bought the HP M1536dnf and LOVE it. After 5 days of heavy printing, a bit of scanning, a sent fax and several copies made I can tell this thing is a work horse. The construction is solid, the software worked first time across a local area network (installed it on Mac OS 10.5.8 without a USB cable attached). Duplex printing works really well, scanning software is SIMPLE and easy to use. I''d highly recommend this unit! I''ll repost if I find any negative qualities worth noting...

If you are looking for a well-rounded machine that can perform very very fast, prints great, and costs not so much, then this is the best one out there at this price point. I looked at many competitors, but none could touch the speed and print quality of this printer in a multi-function configuration. Once I got the machine home (I live overseas, so got this from a retailer), I was truly shocked at how fast it works. It''s comparable to printers that cost up to 10 times as much.

Now, the not so great: The scan quality of the machine is contrary to other reviews here very good. The problem is not with the equipment; it is with the scan software that HP ships with this machine. It is very weak, has limited functionality, and generates massive files when scanning at routine DPIs of 150, 200, and 300. For example, a 10-page document, text only, scanned in grayscale at 150 DPI was over 4mb. Quality was not so hot, file was huge not at all practical, especially if you are emailing it out.

There is a fix: Do not use the HP included software. It''s that easy. Here is what I did to address the problem: I used the scan function included in Adobe Acrobat (full copy, not the reader) to grab the HP twain driver, then I can control scanning from within Adobe Acrobat. That same document I mentioned above came in at about 233kb using Adobe as my ''scanning software.'' I bumped it up to color and 600 DPI for giggles and it still came in under 2mb.

Consumers: I say go for it, this machine is the bomb, even with the weak scanning software. Besides, I have given you the fix. HP: You should seriously study Canon''s scanning software. In this instance, your equipment rocks, but your software sucks.

I have bought this printer on jan.2005, and it has always served me very well. Almost never a jam, good quality outputs. I ONLY use it in Postscript, BTW.

But when I transitioned to Windows 7, I started having nightmares: the Samsung Postscript driver does not see the duplex option for printing on both sides. Now there is instead a UNIVERSAL driver that works correctly but is a real pain in the #### because it is extremely slow in responding. Bad work, Samsung, you spoilt an excellent printer!!

  • Acid and lingin free for great quality that doesn''t deteriorate
  • Made with 30 percent recycled post-consumer fiber
  • 100 Sheets; Paper made with 30 percent recycled post-consumer fiber

I chose this card stock for it''s parchment appearance and heavy weight. It may be just as good as available stock at one of the box stores, but I prefer it already. It was used to make a card, and it was translucent enough on a light table to be able to trace and ink precisely. Fine point permanent marker absorbed quickly, with no bleeding. I''ve had no opportunity to try it as an inkjet or or laser paper.

I have an HP laser printer at home and got this paper to use with it. While the weight of this paper is excellent, the laser printing wipes right off the paper! No good. It is also more of a silver than gold parchment.

I purchased this paper for it''s parchment look and heavy weight. I used it to make the programs for my upcoming wedding and they turned out great! I used a laser jet printer, (only problem here was I had to print one at a time as the card stock is so thick any more than one page at a time would get stuck in the printer) cut out hearts (two per sheet) and glued the two sheets of paper together onto a popsicle stick to make my programs into fans for our guests, as we''re getting married outside at the beginning of September. The paper worked great, was no problem to glue together, and didn''t run or smear the ink. Great price and great quality paper. Thanks!

I used this cardstock for most of the paper products needed for our wedding (everything but the invitations and save the dates). We used it for programs, welcome letters, escort cards, table numbers, menus, and favor tags. It was easy to use in my home inkjet printer, didn''t smudge, and held both black and color inks beautifully. I tried it in my office''s laser printer, and it did smudge. I don''t know if that was the fault of the cardstock (which is smooth), or the printer. But since it''s easy enough to do at home (especially with the replacement ink I also bought on Amazon), I didn''t mind doing everything at home. It''s a nice weight that holds up just fine for uses like table numbers (they weren''t in a frame, just the card itself in a holder), and folds nicely (I used a bone folder, but probably could have just used a ruler) for the programs and welcome letters.

This is very nice, hard, paper. We used it as a certificate for a completion of a camp. The black ink printed very nicely on it as the paper was not too dark. It also is stiff enough to not make it looks cheap. The camp was western themed so this paper fit perfectly with that theme as it resembled the color of the old "wanted" signs of the wild west. I will be sure to re-use.
