I bought this paper hoping it would work as described in a previous review "Chem teachers delight"

It did not! I put on ammonia and nothing happened. It is nice paper though. But now I have 500 sheets of galaxy gold to use up somehow.

The Astrobrights Galaxy Gold uses a dye that is also an acid base indicator. The bright yellow is the acidic form. In contact with a base this paper turns an intense blood red.

Chem teachers use this for the bloody hand demo. Spray your hand with dilute ammonia or Windex and slap it on the paper. A bloody hand immage will instantly appear. Write messages. Have fun.
