I bought this material so that I could apply printed images to the facades of bird houses I designed. I started with two images of wildflowers, printing them on my Epson 2200 and my HP4300 printers. The Epson pigment inks smeared during the printing but the Hewlett Packard dye-based inks gave me satisfactory prints. This may be due to how these printers feed the printed sheet and not the inks. Since many more people have the simpler and less expensive ink jet printers, this is good news. I followed the instructions to apply 3 spray coats of transparent spray lacquer over the printed image. I immersed the finished sheet in warm water in a photographic tray and the image with the overspray released as expected, allowing me to slide it onto the surface of the façade. The façade was a piece of wood that had several coats of polyurethane applied and then sanded smooth. The smoother the surface, the better the finished product will look. I''m quite satisfied with this product and will continue using it. If in doubt, buy it and try it; it''s not that expensive. One of the wildflower images had to be severely distorted with Photoshop to fit the façade and I hope this won''t make the birds suffer vertigo as they investigate the bird house for livability; next Spring will tell.

I ordered this product on the advice of a friend who had used it to put logos on ink pens, (I am doing the same thing). I have not yet used the product but I know it works because I have seen the results my friend had.
