Okay, I never thought I''d be saying this, BUT I have just printed postcards with my LaserJet 5000 using the Avery 5689 and Office Depot''s 915-895 four-up postcards and the Office Depot cards were superior!

The Office Depot cards were sturdier and separated much easier than the Avery''s AND they did NOT curl like the Avery''s did.

The OD cards are listed on their site for $20.49 and the Avery''s are $19.09 with free shipping if you don''t mind waiting a week to get them. Note: if you go to Office Depot the cards are $26!!! Order them online for in-store pickup before you go and save $6! Weird, huh?

I am using them for a general mailing and I am not concerned about the small difference in the "quality" of the surface of the paper, which looks a little smoother with the Avery''s.

The quality of the paper isn''t going to matter much when the piece arrives all wrinkled from the carrier''s bag, and curled from the printer. Who knew, right?

I use these to print off cards for my RPG game and they work great. I have not experienced any problems with jamming in my HP Color LaserJet 3600.

Some cardstock can be tricky in laser printers, so make sure you buy material specifically made for laser printers. Don''t make the mistake of thinking it''s all the same, it isn''t. InkJet cardstock has a smooth finish coating to prevent bleeding; that coating isn''t necessary and makes the paper difficult to grip by some laser printers.
