I bought this to replace an older Canon L170 fax. This one holds more paper and the fax receiving keeps it from spilling papers onto the floor. It is a nice little copier too. A USB cable lets you connect it as a printer to a computer also.it will copy or fax in duplex as well. The paper feed of multiple documents I think is slower than the older L170. But for the cost at now under $175 it is a very functional machine for the price.

Canon make higher end machines for busy offices but you will spend upwards of $1500 for one of these.

The need for fax machines in offices continues. Email cannot do it all.

It is a very quiet machine also. I have always been pleased with Canon business fax and copiers. They work well and last for years. Laser toner last much longer than ink jet cartridges.
