It withstood shipping perfectly, and the box was a little worse for the wear, so it had seen some unnecessary roughness along the way. That notwithstanding, setup was cake. It took a while to install the drivers on my windows machine, but on the mac it was fast.

I can use the entire device as a network device now, which means I don''t need to leave a computer running and connected to it to print from anywhere in the house. Prints fast, faxes fine, copies fine, scans fine. It does all I expected it to do easily. so far. ;-)

I expect to be stung a bit when I replace the toner cartridges, but I came into this with my eyes open. Toner per page will cost loads less than ink per page.

I have had the same problems as the other negative reviewer, with even more problems for a printer that is only about a year old. In addition, when I try to print legal sheets, it invariably jams up after 1 sheer. Talked to HP several times and it was always "you must be doing something wrong." I do know how to put paper in a printer. So I bought another printer to just print legal and continued to use the printer for letter sized printing and a lot of scanning. Then I installed Windows 7, and voila, no drivers for the printer. Printing regular b & w text moves along at about 1 page per minute, with a lot of delay in between pages. Also, the scanner does not work no Windows 7 driver. Due to a prior software problem where a "fix" was promised for three years and never came, I have little faith in getting the drivers anytime soon. If you like big useless paper weights, you might like it.

After not more than a year and very low print volume, spent $300 in new cartridges. The 1st color print was full of color shadows. Calibrated many times and they did not go away. HP web site was no help. Contacted HP live chat, and they wanted to charge for giving me any answers. The local authorized repair they suggested only provides help to businesses. Avoid this product. Not worth the paper it prints on.

First off I did not buy this printer thourgh Amazon. I have bought many, many products from Amazon and because of all the reviews on the products I have been able to buy wisely and have been very happy with all my purchases.

I have owned this HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP printer since Nov. 08 and for the first few months it was good. (Although I don''t like the fact that you have to take out the paper and put in an envelope everytime you want to print an envelope).

After about 5 months I started having problems.....and I have spent hours and hours trying to correct them.

Every word document I try to print, say''s that the paper size is different than what I have in the printer (it isn''t) and do I want to proceed. So you have to click yes.

Then, I can only print ONE copy and it stops, goes through a cleaning cycle or calabrating cycle and then I have to press OK to continue. So if I want 5 copies of one document it would take about 3 minutes to get them and you can''t walk away from the machine. Instead I print one and just make copies to get the other 4.

I have read where the driver or something goes bad in this printer and I don''t have the computer skills to correct whatever is wrong with it.

I have always had a Hewlett-Packard printer for home and business and they are top notch, great products.

But this time I wish I had bought a different model.

This printer/fax/scanner/copier started off great, providing great service, while the original color & B&W toner carts were installed in the machine. After running the color toner carts "dry", I chose not to continue to use the color functions, doing all work in B&W only. This worked OK for three or four B&W toner cartridge replacements, and then the printer started delivering trash for scans and faxes, and anything that was printed on the machine. When the "cleaning" cycle is run, the machine will print clearly for several pages then its back to the garbage prints. Way too much wasted toner and paper.
