You don''t really have much of a choice when it comes this, since as far as I know nobody makes compatible, cheaper "generic" labelmaker tape. The price might be a bit steep, but that''s probably my only complaint--and not a very strong one at that since Amazon has it at least a little cheaper than most other stores.

It holds up as claimed (I''ve had one label on my mailbox outside for a few months now with no yellowing, peeling, or other problems), and is compatible with my labelmaker. I can''t ask for much more.

By the way, don''t be confused by the product''s name: the "e" in "TZe" indicates "environmental friendliness" compared to an older package that used more plastic. It doesn''t indicate a different product line from the "TZ" tapes which they are identical to in all other respects. In other words, they''re basically the same and are interchangeable since it''s only the box itself that''s affected, so don''t be confused if your labelmaker calls for one or the other. (Just don''t get an incompatible size!)

The label maker is designed to waste a whole lot of tape. I''ve found that if you print multiple copies and change the margin setting to "narrow" that you will save a whole lot of tape.

The tape is good though; holds up under multiple washings with dish soap.

compared to the white background, clear works much better. Best part is you can still peel it off without leaving a residue.
