I''ve used or bought practically every paper cutter on the market, and this funky, lightweight one beats them all. Like everyone says, you can see your cut line, it takes inexpensive, easy-to-find replacement blades, and it''s lightweight and narrow (easy to take with you and store). I have used it for so many different types of projects I don''t know where to begin. I''ve dragged one around for probably close to 20 years, lent it to anyone who asked, and it finally got compromised beyond repair. I panicked, thinking it was no longer available, and was delighted to find this listing. I''m ordering two! For the price, I can''t believe how many years of constant use I got out of my first one!

I''ve had this cutter for years and used it when scrapbooking. It is by far my favorite of all the cutters I''ve played with. It cuts straight, you can see exactly where you will be cutting, and refill blades are dirt cheap. The blade retracts into the cutter when you aren''t using it so it''s a little safer if you have little ones around. It also cuts 14 inches, so you can cut 12x12 paper at an angle.

You can only cut when pulling towards yourself, so it may be an adjustment if you are used to cutting both ways. It also does not have a flip out ruler like the fiskars and other brands. I never used it on my old cutter anyways, but it''s a simpe enough change and enough of my scrapping buddies complain that I rated the product down one star for it. You should also note it''s around 16 inches long, so it doesn''t fit in a standard scrapping tote. (I bungee mine to the top)

Overall it''s an excellent cutter, for a great price. I''ve hauled mine to many a crop and it''s taken the abuse without complaint. I''ve converted many of my scrapping friends, and am writing this review as I order one for another friend in need of a good, sturdy cutter.

The best feature about this cutter is that it uses regular razor blades. The drawback is that you can''t cut back and forth....you can only pull to cut in one direction hence the 4 Star review and not 5. The blades are easy to change too. Sturdy and you can get a nice grip on the handle to pull and cut. Overall very pleased with this cutter. I do alot with family pictures and that''s what I wanted it for. Doesn''t take up much space on my desk either. I am not a big craft person but did check the cutters at the big box craft stores. Didn''t find any like this one nor at the price. I seem to make out much better shopping on line for lots of things. Don''t think you will regret this purchase for a second.

I received this as a present via Adorama Camera before Xmas 2005. I''ve been using it for 6 weeks mainly for cutting DVD/CD covers. I am pleased with its visible and accurate cutting edge, and cheap-to-replace single-edge razor blades.

This product is great for what I needed. I use it to trim 1 paper at a time. It also does a great job trimming up to 5 pages at a time. It may cut more than that, but that is the maximum I have tried. The best feature is that it uses normal single edge blades that I can buy anywhere. I am sure there are better, and more expensive trimmers available, but this one does all that I need.

I would not hesitate to reccomend it to anyone that needs simple inexpensive trimming.
