This book is a good INTRODUCTION to visual basic programming. If you have never used VB at all, this is a good book to expose you to what VB has to offer. But once you finish reading it, you will definitely feel the need to buy a REFERENCE book for VB.

This book was exactly what I needed: a good introduction to Visual Basic and how to use it in Excel 97. It assumes no prior VB experience, but it helps to have some programming experience to understand the vocabulary and concepts used. You will never be able to use Excel 97 to its full potential without knowledge of VB, trust me. I am continously amazed at the flexibility and power of Microsoft Office. This book allows Excel users to unlock this power. It should be noted that this book is not made as a reference, but as something to read from front to back.

This book can teach anyone to program in visual basic!

To get the most from this book you have to work through it methodically, doing all the exercises. If you have SOME experience of Excel macros, then you will be very tempted to skip the early chapters. Dont!! There are lots of very useful tips hidden in the text.

The book goes to a fairly advanced level, but does tend to rush through the advanced topics.

As a reference book its not very good, as it is near impossible to find what you are looking for. Many times I have half remembered something and not been able to find it again.

But as a teaching aid it is second to none. I am regularly asked to write simple macros for other people. These days I just give them this book and tell them to spend a couple of afternoons working through it!

If you are an expirenced user of VB or VBA this book probably won''t help you much as I found out, but my wife whom doesn''t have as much expirence found it to be really helpful. There are good lessons and the information seems to be all correct unlike some books I have had that have code that is wrong. If you are an expirenced user then I''d have to reccomend that you look for a better book.

This is a hand-holding book that teaches by example without explaining sufficiently the nuts and bolts of the VBA language. I was not able to make much use of it. In addition, it does not comprehensively cover VBA for Excel. I can appreciate that some readers might prefer the approach taken by this book however.

The printer doesn''t press hard enough for use with duplicate paper rolls and there is no way to program it to print another copy of the receipt. Too bad, this simple feature would make it perfect. It does print a very basic summary report of each department''s sales totals with total cash/credit/check sales when prompted. But just the totals.

So head''s up if you need a copy receipt or duplicate printing function, this model won''t do.

The ink for this register is contained in a tiny foam roller about 1/2 inch long and 3/8 inch in diameter. Consequently, the ink gets depleted very quickly. The customer service rep for the company which makes replacement ink rollers for this machine told me that this tiny ink roller is intended for a calculator and not suitable for a cash register which would be used frequently in a retail environment.

I returned this unit and, for a few dollars more, bought a Casio PCR-T265, which has a thermal printer.

This works well once you take about 30 mins to program it. Overall I would reccommend this to anybody.

It''s a good cash register for the money. I own a season Christmas Tree farm. I have an outdoor lot. It is often cold and sometimes wet. I need a cash register that will work well in less than favorable conditions, but I don''t want to spend a lot on once because I know even the best ones will eventually die in the nasty conditions.

So far this season the register is working well. On days often only in the upper 20s the register worked well. Other registers I''ve had stopped working because of the cold, but this one kept working.

Programming is simple It comes programmed with basic tax and tax-free departments. All you have to do is program the date and time and tax rate, and all is ready! Other registers I''ve had recently you have to program the tax rate for each and every department which can take forever!

The only complaints I have is that the printing is a bit slow and you can''t make receipt copies. Other than that this is a good little register for the money.

This fuser kit is the original manufacturer''s part, and comes sealed in its original box. It includes the fuser kit and three rollers for the main paper tray, which are supposed to be replaced when you replace the fuser kit. The kit itself is easy to install--just open up the compartment, push the slides up to unlock the old kit, pull the old kit out, drop the new one in, push the slides back down to lock it in place, and close the compartment back up.

While most people will probably need to replace the fuser kit when the old one reaches its life expectancy, I had to replace mine because the old one was causing paper jams. The new kit has completely solved that problem. If your Konica Minolta Magicolor 3300 printer needs a new fuser kit, this will certainly do the trick.

I bought the whole set before needing them all, so initially when I used yellow and black, things were printing fine. This paper proves that anything that is for "photo" and "video" is way overpriced. Its sturdy and big enough for 3/4 or head shots. Full body is kind of pushing it. You would need at least an 85mm.

I now use Zinc paper all the time. It is not only reliable in terms of reproducing my images, but the paper is durable and indestructible. I tried ripping a photo up and could not do it.

I wasted $50 on new cartridges for my HP travel printer and still was not working properly.

So I bought this little printer to replace it. It of course uses these Zink, papers and I like the idea of them. There is not ink to dry up, and as long as you kept the packages sealed up from outside air, they last well so far. The printer itself is not high def. by any means, but not bad either. The paper seems a bit expensive, but when I factored in the the length of time between using a travel printer and not have to worry about ink cartridges drying up and so forth. I think they are an OK cost. The printer itself, is actually smaller and flatter in shape, making it easier to travel with. So I am not sorry so far for buying this new system.

I would recommend to a friend or family member as long as they understand that these do not produce higher quality pictures. Good concept as we carry a travel printer to give people we met a photo or print a photo for them to give someone they have met on a trip. Yes I understand that pics can be emailed. But, we still like to go old school so times. I quess people could think of many other uses for pictures on the go method such as this. Cheers
