HP CE322A Laserjet 128A Cartridge - Retail Packaging - Yellow
  • Print stunning color and black text documents.
  • Stay productive-get consistent, reliable printing.
  • Easily replace, reorder and recycle supplies.

HP original toner cartridges contain not only toner but also the drum and corona wire (e.g., the key parts of the duplication system.) I have used laser printers that had these parts separate, and they also work fine, but the replacement process is a bit of a maintenance challenge for the non-technical. Plus, you must be aware of the way these affect the printing and know when to change them. (Of course, if the average user never uses his printer very much, this might not even come up.)

Still the genius of the HP system is that it always works, and always works well--at least many more hours and copies than historically we have ever had the right to expect from a printer. and TOTALLY in a different class than ink jet technology.

So if you want that reliability and error-free reproduction, you guarantee it by buying original HP toner cartridges from HP.

However, the technology is not rocket science. So a good refurbished cartridge can be every bit as reliable as an original, fit exactly the same, and the corona wire and drum can be replaced. However, this adds quite a bit to the cost, and they don''t need to be replaced as often as the toner wears out--anywhere from 2x to 10x less frequently, probably only the people who refurbish cartridges could tell us for sure and it may depend on the smoothness of the paper you use, etc. Consequently, often a refurbished cartridge is going to have had the drum and corona wire inspected, but not replaced. In fact, if used cartridges are available enough and cheap enough they might never reuse cartridges where the drum or corona wire are damaged. Some companies might even have a lower standard than HP--imagine that! They are after all charging less.

So what I do, is a) try to buy refurbished cartridges from as reliable companies as possible, b) always have an original on hand as a back up in case anything goes wrong, and c) only buy refurbished if the price difference is considerable, say less than half.

Also, this particular cartridge is for a very high resolution color laser printer. I''m getting printing-quality copies that are better than what print shops provided some time ago. 3600 dpi in color boggles my mind. I have printing-quality paper (thicker, glossier, whiter stock) for my PR pieces. It looks awesome, and I can print on demand for less than I can order copies (of lower quality actually) from a print shop. I''m not going to compromise the registration of the four toner cartridges and the pristine quality of original toner powder and new drums and wires for a few pennies per copy.

Hence here you see me buying original toner cartridges from HP! (But I don''t always for every printing application. I do buy laser printers from HP whenever possible, because I know how they will last.)

  • Easy-to-setup wireless (802.11b/g/n) or wired Ethernet networking

It bought this machine because it has two paper trays and the ink usage was supposed to be reasonable. This machine is beautiful to look at-not so great when it comes to work. I bought this to replace my Canon Pixma that finally died after several years. This is for home use and I bought it primarily to print both photos and plain paper at the same time: from Tray 2 plain paper documents, homework, and articles from the internet and with Tray 1 loaded with photo paper to print 4 x 6 photos wirelessly from my phone or Ipad. These photos previously rarely ever ended up getting printed so it was my hope that I would be printing out a lot of family photos finally.

The machine seems like it was cheaply made. Right out of the box some handle to hold the top open came off and I never could get it put back in. It set up wirelessly with the network but I did need some help for printing from my phone-printing from the Ipad was a easy. The photo quality was very poor-so much so that even though I was thrilled to print these photos-I would not hang them on the bulletin board. The paperwork states that the best photos will be with Brother paper although it isn''t sold at the Staples store near me -so that is an extra hassle and I can''t believe the photos would be THAT much better-they were bad. With regard to plain paper printing I kept having random printer failure-one minute I could print-the next minute the same document would fail. As it goes in life-these unexplained printer failures were always at the worst time and I need to be able to print with the printer. I did not have it longer enough to comment on the ink usage. I am sending it back to Brother.

AlsoI want to quickly comment on the customer service which is life of the machine-which is great. However,I think that customer service is only as good as the people answering the phone or doing the online "Chat" for Brother and I have to sayI had two that didn''t know the product and gave me completely different answers than the other two. Ugh!

Arrived as advertised from Amazon. After setup the paper would jam every time I tried to print. Called Brother support and after some trouble shooting steps they decided to replace it. I got the replacement in 1 day and returned the the defective unit at no cost to me. The replacement was everything I expected, wireless setup was a breeze, scan and printing works very well and takes up half the space of the Canon it replaced. Brother service and support was outstanding. Would have given it 5 stars, except for the bad experience at the beginning.

Lexmark spent too much time and money trying to force customers to buy their grossly overpriced ink and forgot to build a good printer. Their own cartridges have to be cleaned weekly or they plug. The paper feed is a piece of junk. The on line service is no help. There is a reason they GIVE these printers away with complete systems. The 1100, the 1150, and the rest of the Lexmark lineup are total junk. Stay away!!!

I picked this up at a yard sale, yes yard sale for [$]. The woman had used it a few times until buying another printer. (It came in the computer package) She didn''t have the cord so I called Lexmark and they promptly sent one free of charge. The audio is wonderful on this printer and it is cool to hear it say paper loading...etc. Although, I have HP, NEC, and Epson printers...this one is used on a daily basis for everyday printing. (I use my photo printer for photos) It rarely has a paper jam unless I load wrong or have a messed up piece of paper. For the money it is a great deal!

I totally agree with the reviewer "K. Chaudhry (USA)". I am just having a problem with it know (Feb 2010) but I think I bought a flawed, remanufactured ink cartridge. I printed so much with this machine over the years (8+), 3-4x per week (documents, photos, charts, etc.) It served me well. I do not have any regrets! It/was a very basic, no-frill machine. I just hope all I need is a new cartridge. I am awaiting my new Lexmark cartridge and hope to continue using it for a longer time. Thanks, Lexmark.

This is a nice printer for the money. (You''ll spend more in cartridges in a year than you spend on the printer.) The resolution is solid and worth the wait. It''s a perfect, low-cost home solution for your color printing needs.

i recived this printer "free" with the purchase of a computer a few years back, and have hated every moment with it. it was poor printing quality thats looks more like a dot matrix print. the ink is too expensive and the printer eats it quickly. it also has issues handling paper as well, it has to be fed in piece by piece or it will jam, and the printer is also very slow, so hope you dont have to be anywhere too soon.

I''ve been using the canvas paper for years. It''s great for covering wood sides, just get a print you like and copy it on to the canvas paper. I made so many gifts by covering wooden bird houses you can get at any craft store.

Look in the scrapbooking isle to find a pattern, I found brick, great for making a house look brick sided. I never run out of it. Wonderful product, you''ll be surprised on how many things you can use it for.

Canon PIXMA MP150 Photo All In One Printer

Canon PIXMA MP150 Photo All In One Printer
  • 1200 x 2400 dpi/48-bit scanner for over 281 trillion colors
  • ChromaLIfe100 systme for long lasting, beautiful photos
  • Borderless 4" x 6" photo in approx. 55 seconds
  • Copy photos and documents with versatile copy functions
  • PictBridge ready - just connect and print!

This printer is a question of value. Clearly, there are higher quality printers even from Canon. Likewise, there are printers that are less expensive. What I am most interested in knowing about when shopping for something is the relative value of the item. In that way, the MP150 should receive 5 stars. It is an extremely good value for what it is: a quality, at-home moderate use printer.

Printing quality is fast and of high quality. Borderless 4x6 photos are what I would call very good (I have not yet printed larger). I have seen better photos, but not at this price point. You will be very happy with the occasional or semi-frequent picture you print off for friends, family, or yourself. Pictures seem a little skewed to the beige, but I don''t notice any grain or lines. It will not quite replace a photo studio or online provider, but with the low cost of printing digital pictures at your local drug store, 90% of us should not be overly concerned with very, very high quality, at home printing. The Pict Bridge is nice and Canon claims pictures will not fade for 100 years if stored in proper albums.

Normal document printing is good too. Not quite laser, but anyone who need regular business printing should invest in at least a low cost laser. No ink based printer will do what you need if you have a business office in your home.

Scanning is very good and easy. Their software allows for all sorts of imports and scanning, while not lightning fast, is quite good. Copying is a breeze: place your document on the glass (and with an auto-adjusting top, you can easily copy books up to 1-2 inches thick), hit the black or color button, and you''re done. No need to have the computer on.

The paper tray leaves a little to be desired, but not too much. It''s a bit flimsy and doesn''t give you a great deal of confidence that it will pull paper correctly, although it has so far for me. I like the non-turning path the paper takes. Paper goes in the top and comes out straight from the front. This makes labels easier and more successful. The printer seems very good at pulling your paper media quite well without the stutter or mistakes of some HP printers.

Canon offers four ink cartridges for this printer: PG 40 (black) and PG 50 (black high capacity) as well as CL41 (color) and CL51 (color high capacity). Some have said that it won''t accept the high cap cartridges. I haven''t tried yet.

As for what I would have liked to see, the printer, while somewhat fast, can take forever to start printing. It almost always takes enough time for me to think the printer is not going to print. When I then go to remove the paper and try again, it starts up just before I get there like it was waiting for me to make the first move!

The tray is rated to hold 100 pieces of paper. No way. More like 50 if you''re lucky. Ink is high quality and the heads are part of the cartridge, but ink use is higher than average. Normal cartridges are rates for around 200 pages and, because there are not multiple color cartridges, if you run out of one color, you run out of everything.

Finally, when compared to its competitor (HP1401), it is both more expensive and bigger. However, I would take the MP150 over the HP (and since I have both, I should know).

I just purchased this printer and am VERY impressed with the print quality. Especially the borderless prints that look every bit as good as professionally printed photos.

A couple of small nits to be aware of: The setup instructions that I recieved with my printer bear absolutely no resemblance to this printer. They''re supposed to be for this and a couple of other models, but it asks you to do things that aren''t available on this model (select your language from the LCD panel when there''s no LCD panel, for instance). Having said all that, it still sets up very easily. Windows XP detected it right away and I was up and running in minutes (love that plug-and-play feature of XP, thanks Microsoft!)

It''s not the quietest printer in the regular mode, but there is a special "quiet" mode that you can engage if it bothers you.

Overall an outstanding combination of quality and price.

Just purchased this printer with a notebook bundle and ending up only paying $49.99 after rebates so for that price I''m happy. We have a very nice HP wireless all-in-one but bought the Canon for my daughter who is college bound. The HP is definitely nicer and quieter but we also paid 5 times as much!

Set up was very easy. For those who are looking to save ink do not use the Canon task bar to print. Go to the main task bar and select File, then Print, Preferences, Custom, then Set. Select the fastest print quality for draft printer and a little higher for other printing. You will save a lot of ink!

I also tried the scanner and copier and both seem to work fine.

Want Canon PIXMA MP150 Photo All In One Printer Discount?

I have bought the printer for around a month and the driver already alerts me that the black ink is running out. Grantly, I print a lot as I''m a student, but I use the "super fast" option whenever possible to save ink. Well, it turns out that doesn''t help much. So I advise any of one that print a lot think twice before you buy any Canon printer using the PG-40 and CL-41 catridges. They can run out very quickly.

Other than this problem, the printer is ok. I like the style, the price, the multifunction capability. The print quality is average. I use HP''s multipurpose paper, which isn''t bad, and sometimes feel the text are not black and bold enough. Color output isn''t bad, and the scanner is pretty good. The copying function is really convenient and the results are satisfying.

Overall, the tiny catridges prevent me from recommending this machine. If you print a lot, look elsewhere or buy a printer-only separate ink-tank model. I wish Canon had not replaced the earlier model which uses the BCI-2x ink tank.

This printer set up easily and produced perfectly good results, especially for the price. I picked it over the Epson CX3810 for scanning resolution and text-recognition software (Omnipage SE included, works fine).

A couple of software surprises:

Maximum scanning resolution was 600dpi in regular mode, unless I went via another button labelled "scan through scanner driver", when the full 1200 dpi became available.

With no LCD (need the MP170 for that), copier zoom isn''t available from the panel, just "fit to page". BUT if you go via computer, using scanner software, you have the option of using it as a copier, with zoom (25-400%) and exposure adjustment available, no need to save to file.

Very happy so far.

I''ve been using Ilford paper for some time and have always been extremely satisfied with the quality! Yes,photo paper is expensive, but the fiber paper is definitely worth investing. After working with the fiber paper, I noticed a great difference in my prints. Fiber gives your prints much more tonal range and that satisfying texture(which is a little bit thicker and denser) than the normal glossy papers.

A 25 pack of 8.5 X 11 B%W photo paper. This is Ilford Multigrade IV fiber paper, not the RC (Resin coated)that is more commonly used. If your buying for the first time for a class do double check what is required. I required it for my class as it''s an Art photography class and we will be exhibiting final work. I use the fiber for my final enlargements and RC for my contact sheets. As the description says, fiber has a look all it''s own and processing drying is not as easy as RC for the inexperienced.

As with anything you order take a few minutes to read exactly what your getting.

This product arrived exactly on time and exceeded my expectations. I had previously used some cheap-o Michael''s calligraphy pens that set my interest in penmanship ablaze. This pen, however, has taken it to a whole other level. I find that I can''t go anywhere without itit is a part of my morning routine: Phone? Wallet? Headphones? Keys? Pen? Check check double check.

As far as writing goes, it''s perfect as far as I can tell. I haven''t used a $1000 pen before so I can''t exactly compare it to anything but if you''re like me and want to explore another hobby, this pen won''t break the bank.

I do have one complaint. I purchased ink and the converter with the pen. The ink came at the same time as the pen but it took almost two weeks until the converter arrived. By that time, I had already run through the ink cartridge that came with the original shipment. I would recommend buying some extra cartridges with this or perhaps Amazon might consider throwing one in there???

If you are taking a photography, double-check ALL of the photo enlarging paper specifications that the instructor provided BEFORE ordering this. I actually needed RC paper, but I didn''t realize that this was fiber paper. I tried using it once and it was awful. The developing process took a half an hour longer, it never dries completely, and it curls up on the edges. Its technically supposed to be better quality, but its really intended for photographers who are NOT beginners, and aren''t working on a deadline. Not great if you''re new to the process, or have little patience.

Pantone Plus Series GPG003 ESSENTIALS ADVANCE, Eight-Guide Set

Pantone Plus Series GPG003 ESSENTIALS ADVANCE, Eight-Guide Set
  • 1,341 PLUS SERIES Solid Color choices
  • 2,058 Goe solid colors
  • Goe color selection and palette building tools
  • sRGB and HTML values provided for solid colors
  • 2,868 CMYK color choices, with screen tint percentages

I bought this set to replace my aging set from the late ''90s. The case is nice and stiff. If you keep them in the case they won''t change color as quick under florescent lights. Pantone recommends you change the books annually, but I''ve a set from the early ''80s and 95% of the colors still match the new guides. Certain pigments due fade over time. If you leave them in the sun, on a hot computer, in the car, or under the energy saving lights they''ll change color. (Even if the lights are color balanced.)

The names of the different guides has changed over the years so now they call the "Spot to Process" guides "Color Bridge." If you''re using an older application it might not be intuitive. The CMYK books with this set have the new naming convention and numbering sequence as one of the other reviewers stated, so the older DS color codes will not match them.

You''ll want to make sure the print shop you''re going to use has these guides on hand. There are a lot of new colors in the solid guides that are not included in the original solid color sets.("Plus") Your printer will need access to be able to get the ink mixtures for the new inks and for optical site matching and color density.

If you''re new to designing, you''ll need to make sure you indicate which matching system you''re referring to, whether it be Solid, CMYK, Pantone Process, or Goe color. All have different coding sequences. If you''re looking at the price tag on these, the Goe colors are newer so a lot of shops might not be using them yet... they are cool though. The other CMYK swatch books really won''t matter so much if you''re familiar with mixing CMYK colors. You might want to look into getting the Color Bridge set by itself and save a little scratch since it will show the solid spot color with the process conversion next to it if you don''t need every color in the rainbow to match.

If you use the Adobe Creative Suite line of products, you''ll need to visit Pantone''s site to download the Goe Color Palettes as well as the Pantone Plus Palettes since neither were included in CS5 at the time of this review. I would post a link, but I''m sure it would be removed. Once they''re installed they will show up under the swatches menu.

Buy Pantone Plus Series GPG003 ESSENTIALS ADVANCE, Eight-Guide Set Now

The new guides look good and will come in handy. It''s good to see the swatches on coated and uncoated stock. The addition of Bridge on uncoated stock is a necessary tool, as inks change appearance between coated and uncoated stock. The New GEO guides has a good color range, check with your ink vendor or local print shop for availability before specifying a color for print. You need to know it''s going to be available.

The digital version of the color libraries have not been added to the design software (at this time (Sept 2010)), to spec one of the GEO colors, a similar spot color would be chosen, and clear instructions need to be provided in order to make sure the wrong color is not used.

The CMYK libraries are completely new color formulas. They do not match the previous set of CMYK swatches and DO NOT invalidate the previously booked color swatches, it expands the range. So hold on to that older set of process swatches, they will come in handy.

The solid set that was included on matte paper was left out. For the most part, I have no complaints here. In reality, matte paper is not used often in the print shop I work in. It''s more expensive, subject to availability, and the ink can take longer to dry. My reason for wanting to hold on to the matte samples, is to have a printed sample to show to the customer. Most of the time when someone tells me they want a matte paper, they mean an uncoated stock. Matte paper has a dull coating, with the dull coating, comes a light shine (not high glossy shine). A true 100# matte stock feels thinner, compared to a 100# uncoated stock. So why are people getting matte and uncoated paper confused?

Features: The process swatches have CMYK color bars above the formulas, making it easier to define the color break down for the color. Three features were taken out the solid libraries. The four dots that suggest a color converts to CMYK fairly well. So that a company that has a specific PMS solid color can spec out a CMYK formula and get close to the same color. The three circles that suggest a color converts to RGB faily well, for the same reason, getting the company colors to close to the print collateral on the internet. The last feature to be taken out was the parts list. Parts have been replaced strictly by percentages. Parts, percentages, same thing, when it comes right down to it. Some people who mix ink see parts better than percentages when mixing small quantities. PMS 187: 12 parts warm red, 4 parts rub. red and 1 part black (percentages 70.6, 23.5 and 5.9) If mixing a pound, or half a pound, each part could be an ounce or half ounce. The total mix would be an ounce over a pound or half ounce over half a pound. Removing the parts breakdown, removes the parts to ounces comparison reference. Print shops are going to be holding on to the books that give a parts breakdown. You can''t just generate a list that says 5.9% is one ounce, PMS 1767 is 1 part 032 red and 15 parts transparent white, the percentage break down on the red is 6.2%.

The color swatches are a designer''s friend, don''t design without them. I think the digital versions of the color books should have been updated the same time the printed samples were released. Because there are going to be designer and print shops holding on to the older sets, I think this should have been marketed as a companion to the previous versions of the Pantone Essentials sets.

With the 8373, you ***can*** print on both sides. The front sides are glossy photo quality, the back sides are regular ink jet paper quality. The cards are perforated, which means the edges are not perfectly clean. But you can overprint the cards, so that after you separate the cards, the printing goes right up to the edge. I had to play around with the exact placement of the cards on the page to get it right for my printer I couldn''t just use the template that Avery supplies. I think every printer must be different.

Pros

Print to the edge

Glossy color on front

Print on back

Cons

A little flimsier than professionally made cards

Must tweak page placement to get it right

Edges not perfectly clean (but close)

To avoid any confusion, as another reviewer pointed out there seems to be some sort of a mix of different types of business cards and reviews. This review is for Avery Glossy Ink Jet Print to the Edge business cards 8373 template, 200 count.

I purchased these glossy cards because I started my own automotive detailing business and I am very specific about wanting a glossy business card due to the industry I am in. I might just be crazy but I feel it''s nice to pass out a high gloss business card that could leave the impression that that''s just what we do/who we are "return the gloss to your auto finish". Anyway, let me help you to have a better understanding of these cards.

Quality: 4 stars out of 5. I feel that much like any other print at home business card i''ve used that these could be just a little bit thicker/sturdier. However, the high quality vivid images that these cards allow for to be produced does well more than compensate for the thickness. They were no thinner than the 8869 Print to the edge clean edge avery business cards that I had used prior to these so I am sure it is just the industry standard. Imagine printing a photo on plain paper, what happens? The ink "bleeds" into the paper and literally dye''s/fades into it. Now, print the same image on high quality photo paper and the end result is much more vivid, vibrant, and professional looking. These cards produce that effect.

Some tips... You CAN do double sided printing with these cards HOWEVER, only one side is glossy. So make sure you put your main business features on the glossy side, and maybe just a simple business name on the other, if you are doing double sided printing. Additionally, I HIGHLY recommend these glossy business cards if you are doing a variety of colors on your card and especially if you are doing a background color. My background color was black, they turned out literally 3 times as nice as they other cards that i used prior to this simply because as I mentioned the colors didn''t bleed into the paper and blend together. Avery was nice to provide a "practice" sheet to you to make sure you know which way to feed the paper into your printer. Finally, be sure to set your printer settings to glossy paper and high quality to obtain the best prints. I made the mistake of getting a little giddy with these when I first got them and printed them standard quality/standard paper and the ink smudged rendering one page of cards useless.

Love these and highly recommend them to add a new level of professionalism to your business. Hope this helped!

These print beautifully. They''re a little expensive, but very professional looking. If your card has color graphics, these shine! If it doesn''t, then you should rethink your design. Your business card is no place to economize, because often it''s the only impression a future customer has of you. Stand out!
