I''ve had this unit replaced twice now.

In theory, this is an awesome product. When it''s working, it very quickly scans large documents to a network location, which is great. The problem is that, most of the time, it suffers from multiple-feeds and paper jams. The paralegals in our office have resorted to single-page feeding this unit instead of putting a stack in and letting it run.

I''m not sure who did the QA testing on this scanner. The 220p has occasional jams but seems to work pretty well once the rollers are broken in. This version, however, has never worked as expected.

In short, it cost us a whole ton on money to buy a scanner that doesn''t work as advertised. The unit creates more problems than it solves.

In addition, the setup is non-intuitive. I hold MCSA/MCSE and SEC+ certifications and it took me a good afternoon to get everything up and running properly. The Fax portion needs to be removed, it''s useless to anyone who isn''t actually running a fax server in the office. Having the button on the primary interface is confusing. The email option only works with an open-relay, which is useless to 99% of all email setups. LDAP address book integration is limited to something like 99 contacts, which is unhelpful considering the size of most contact lists in the internet age.

Avoid.

DVD Inkjet Labels,10 Sheet/2 Labels P/Sheet,Matte,White Film
  • DVD Inkjet Labels, 10 Sheet/2 Labels P/Sheet, Matte, White

This film type label prevents the possible disk warping effect of paper labels caused by a paper label absorbing moisture from the air. When paper labels are applied to single sided disks like the BD-R and DVD-R which are more sensitive to changes in disk shape, warping can result in read errors. Have used these for 2 years now and have had no problems whatever on any BD-R made for personal use or for disks made for others.

Print surface on the film label is coated and the ending print is sharp and beautiful.

Gave 4 stars only because they are expensive: over $1 a label.

After further review, I''ve changed my rating.

I got this sample pack of Kodak paper free when I purchased my Canon i850 (which also came with a sample pack of the Canon Photo Paper Pro).

The Kodak paper is not as good as the Photo Paper Pro. I''ve had the best success printing on it with the paper type set to Photo Paper Pro. The pictures printed on it are less glossy then those printed on the Photo Paper Pro and show banding. Also the paper seems to respond poorly to chnages in temperature and humidity.

The paper itself is 1/2" too long (4"x6.5") which can leave a white border on one end if you don''t adjust for it.

I wouldn''t buy this paper, but it''s worth getting the free package to try for yourself.

We just purchased a new Canon printer and it came with a sample pack of Canon 4x6 photo pro paper. We were printing the same photo with different color settings to see how vivid we could make the photo and ran out of the Canon paper. So, we opened the package of Kodak 4x6 paper we purchased and the size is not even the same. Kodak 4x6 paper is actually 4x6.5

The quality of the photo compared to the other 3 we printed on the Canon paper is absolutely horrible. I belive it is b/c the paper does not absorb the ink quickly enough and beads up on the surface of the paper.

Buy Canon paper it is much better.

This is top quality paper. Prints come out great using the Canon I850 Printer. The only problem is the paper is not 4 x 6. It is 4 x 6 1/2. This leaves some blank space on the end of the paper. If it wasn''t for this problem I would say this was the best paper available.

My Canon S750 had come with 5 sheets of Canon Photo Paper Pro, which produced excellent, borderless photos. After depleting those five, I''d purchased a 75-pack (!) of this Kodak Ultima paper -a complete mistake.

As others have indicated, the paper is not actually 4x6, which is entirely misleading. Additionally, the "gloss" on this paper is nowhere near true-photo glossiness, as Canon''s paper had been.

When these 75 are gone (ugh), I''ll stick to Canon.

I must say, I''m very frustrated with this item, to the point that I, too, am writing this review when I''m not accustomed to doing so on Amazon.com. I bought this to use with my newly purchased EPSON Stylus Photo R300 printer. This is the first printer that I bought that supports borderless printing. Excitedly, I printed out a greeting card that I had prepared yesterday to sends off to friends and relatives; much to my dismay, there was a white strip on one edge of the printout.

Determined that there was something wrong with the printer driver and/or my system (MacOSX 10.4.2 Tiger), I went on a rampant search for a fix. I tried unistalling and reinstalling the driver; tried different versions of the driver (one that came with Tiger, one that I downloaded from the Epson website, one that came with the printer); tried repairing permissions; I was this close to doing a fresh reinstall of the OS . . . at which point I had the sense to measure the paper. Lo-and-behold, the paper is NOT 4"x6" but 4"x6.5". Which explains the 0.5" white band on one edge of the printout.

Unfortunately, my printer doesn''t support this paper size, which means in order to get a true borderless printout, I need to manually trim off the 0.5in with an exacto knife -which is exactly what I could have done without buying new printer.

Kodak, listen to your customers; labeling this as a 4"x6" photo paper is deceiving. Making a 4*6.5 paper when many printers don''t support that size is just senseless.

Potential customer: do not buy this if borderless photo printing is what you want to do.

These are wonderful!!! They are perfect for my 5 year old daughter who loves art! We have also used them for school projects for my 8 year old. He had to make a book for a class assignment and these were the perfect last minute front and back items to make a book. They are very durable and would serve a multitude of purposes. Borders to pictures, cut out shapes to glue on other card stocks, scrap booking, etc.

I use this mostly in my Cricut. It doesn''t tear if used on a nice sticky cutting matt. Otherwise it might but still not too bad. It has perfect weight for other projects as well.

The colors are nice, not too bright, not too dull. Have not used for copying yet. Looks like a nice paper.

HP Color Laser Brochure Paper, Glossy (250 Sheets, 8.5 x 11 Inches)

HP Color Laser Brochure Paper, Glossy
  • 44-lb. white glossy coated brochure paper with a 97 GE brightness rating for laser printers.
  • HP''s proprietary, five-layer gloss coating enables exceptional image quality on both sides.
  • Heavyweight paper with high opacity for an impressive look and feel.
  • Ideal for short-run, full-color brochures, flyers and marketing collateral.

If you''re going to be producing and distributing a multiple page brochure or your pages will be protected in a a folder or some other type of protection, this is a good option. It prints easily in my LaserJet 2550N printer and hasn''t caused any jamming issues for me. I always use manual paper tray for thicker paper and select the proper paper type in the printer options/settings.

If you are distributing something that is 3 or fewer pages, I would recommend HP Photo paper instead (product Q6607A). The printing surface seems exactly the same, and the photo paper is a bit thicker.

In reality, this product and HP photo paper Q6607A seem to be the same product print quality and texture/appearance wise other than the photo paper is a little thicker. This paper is pretty flexible/soft, so if you need something rigid, I''d recommend going with product HP Q6607A. It is $1 more, and you do get 50 fewer sheets, but it might be more appropriate for brochures that are not going to be folded and will be presented without a binder/folder and are 3 or few pages. I say this because the photo paper is more rigid and is less likely to crinkle on the edges like I''ve seemed to have on this particular product.

On the other hand, this paper produces the same results as the HP photo paper but isn''t as thick and you get 50 more sheets for $1 less. If you need to print photos on the cheap, this would be just as good of an option in my opinion.

Great paper and great price for this brochure paper. Good that it''s notched a bit so that folding is easy. The ink didn''t smear and the colors printed out really bright. Very happy with the purchase.
