i bought my labels directly from Amazon and i got the original replacement, not a generic. just be careful to make sure you order directly from amazon and not from an amazon seller. although im pretty sure the generic stuff is just as fine. i have a set of generic 30915 stamps from another company and they work just as well. happy shopping!

There aren''t a lot of options for people who want to print postage at home without paying a monthly fee to a website. This is one of your options, and works with many of the Turbo or newer LabelWriter series. They adhere well and never jam for me, but after having a box a year or so they do tend to yellow, though it doesn''t diminish usability of the product.

Make sure at the Dymo website that your dymo labelwriter is compatable with "postage" before purchasing. All newer models are, and anything Turbo 400 or newer should work.

The only reason this review is 4 stars instead of 5 is that the price could be better in my opinion. This is also the only home postage printing option I''ve found that doesn''t require a monthly fee to print the stamps.

I have installed these labels in my dymo printer, and they seem to be working fine. However, it is entirely unethical to show pictures of "DYMO" packaging and use the "DYMO" description and then send generic labels. I''m sure the dymo people wouldn''t be real happy about that either.

If you are selling generic product, then say it in the description. But misleading customers, regardless of the quality, is poor business.

I needed this quickly, so was willing to pay the extra for shipping. Paid 18.78 in "expedited" shipping costsfor an order of two of these. Package did arrive promptly shipping from California to Colorado. However, this package (an order of two) was shipped via USPS Priority. Exactly as it arrived in box, to ship via Priority mail (2-3 days) costs 7.10 to ship. This was a markup on shipping of 11.68.

To make matters worse, I find the product page as a whole to be misleading. The product image shows a Dymo brand box, and the description of the product uses the Dymo name. Nowhere is it indicated that this product is a generic product, and not actually the Dymo Brand. This product has no branding whatsoever on it, unlike genuine Dymo products which are packaged in a Dymo box, and have the Dymo name on the back of the labels. This came with no box, only the spool as it would come out of the box, and there is absolutely no branding on the back of the labels.

If this product stated as generic, then I would not be as displeased with this purchase. However, I find the product page extremely misleading for the reasons mentioned above, and the shipping costs (at least the "expedited ones" to be marked up well beyond a reasonable level.

As to the quality of the product, I have not used it yet. I will say that the labels are wound quite loosely around the spool, and the sides of the label roll have several indentions and imperfections which make me wonder how well it will perform with my printer. Will not be purchasing from them again. If you do, be aware that this is a generic product, and don''t waste your time on any overpriced expedited shipping.

Purchased 5 of these to use in my HP 320 photo printer. One (1) out of 5 worked. The remainder were thrown away because they failed completely. All were used or attempted to use within 2 weeks from receiveing them. I print a lot of 4/6 as proof''s and the printer uses only one cartridge a (HP 95) Junk is the one word that comes to mind.

I purchased this printer about 2 weeks ago and am very satisfied with it. It replaced a Lexmark E260DN. The Brother is noticeably quieter, slightly faster, can print from IOS devices (eg. iPad) and has much lower toner costs. A few years ago I also had a Brother HL-5250DN laser printer. It was a great printer, BUT after I upgraded to Windows 7 it would change its IP address when the computer was re-booted. To say the least that was annoying and I could not find a fix. Of course that is only a problem if you are using it as a network printer.

The new HL-5470DW has no problems what-so-ever. It is setup as a network printer in my home via Ethernet cable. I set the resolution to 600 DPI and configured for toner saver mode. Even with these settings the print quality is very good. Envelopes print perfectly with no wrinkles.

Toner costs are reasonable. Here on Amazon a Brother TN720 3,000 page toner cartridge is about $60 (2 cents/page) and a Brother 8,000 page TN750 toner cartridge costs about $100 (1.25 cents/page). To put this in perspective, the toner costs for most laser printers range from 3-5 cents per page and ink costs for inkjet printers can easily exceed 10 cents per page for text.

I would definitely buy this printer again and recommend it highly.

Bought this a month ago, so take all this as an early report. That said, got it on sale for a good price and no cause for regret yet. Bought this to replace a Canon multi-function inkjet that had a bad print head. Tired of the expense of the ink and the bulk of the device. I''ve got a small scanner on my desk now to cover scanning and most copying. Who needs a fax these days. Got the Brother home, unpacked, plugged in and less than 30 minutes later was printing from every computer in the house including my PC, a windows laptop, my wife''s Mac and my iPad. I''m reasonably tech-savvy, but no expert. I just followed the instructions and it was done. Print quality is beautiful. Starts printing around 6-8 seconds after hitting the print command. Auto-duplex works well. I don''t notice any excessive curling, though I''m not using this for business presentations. Prints envelopes, at least one at a time, just fine. Some curl, but quickly relaxes and no other issues as had been described for previous versions. The auxiliary feed is on the front, which makes my life easier at least as the printer is tucked away under my desk. Not much else to say at this point--simply that set up was easy, print quality is very good, speed is quite fast, and I anticipate using this for a long time. I wish my office printer worked as well and as fast.

Just got this printer delivered and set up today. Works very well. No problem setting up (with Ethernet connection). Printed lettering is of very high quality, fine detailing. Haven''t tried any graphics yet. Fast printer, not too noisy, silent when "asleep". Prints envelopes fine, just have to use MP Tray and open printer''s back cover for a straight through printing path. Cannot feed more than three envelopes at a time though. Various options for different paper types and fuser heats if needed. So far I''m very satisfied. Will post again if my opinion changes with use.

New comment (September 9, 2012): Having now used this printer for a few weeks, I''m persuaded it is a very good printer and would buy it again. Note that this printer seems to draw a lot of power for an instant when just starting to print. My lights dim a bit for a moment not a big problem for me but could be for someone with less robust electrical circuitry.

As other reviewers have said, this printer has a power problem when it starts up initially (and apparently every time it wakes to start printing but I can''t comment on that because I never got it booted completely) by drawing enough amps to trip a 20amp circuit breaker. I tried three (3) different outlets, on different circuits, all with the same results. When I powered it on, it would start to power up and then within 3 seconds trip the breaker. No other appliance has ever tripped one of our breakers in our 8 year old house.

I even tried plugging it into a UPS thinking that would buffer the load but it didn''t, same thing. So, unfortunately this printer is going back to Amazon and I''ll continue searching for a network laser printer (wired or wireless) that supports AirPrint.

I''ve been printing on canvas since 2003. I ran across this brand on amazon and decided to try out a roll. When I opened the box, I was surprised that the roll had a sticky feel to it. I loaded the printer and printed a few high resolution images. As stated in the description, the prints were sharp and crisp. The colors were good. I let the printed canvas dry over night. I then attempted to apply a water based UV sealant I have used for over 9 years without issue. To my surprise and dissapointment, as soon as I touched the canvas with a foam brush, the ink wiped clean away. I was forced to throw out 10 feet of canvas, because I can''t seal it. The product description should have stated this canvas is not coatable, or requires a special sealant. Had I known, I would not have purchased it. If you do not seal your canvas prints, then this as an adequate canvas. I did not try to stretch any of it, as soon as the ink ran, I tossed the lot, but I see no reason to doubt it will.

Ive been printing away alot of prints and so far i can say its a great canvas, love the prints and i was able to coat it without a problem. Great price. Im not experienced with printing on canvas so I cant compare it to other brands but as far as i can tell the prints look amazing. Im reordering another roll thats for sure!
