Very good quality business cards, online templates available on Avery website, but wished I could print one card at a time, so I can make changes to each one before printing.

I''ve printed cards from home for a while and these are really cool and easy to do on a Mac. I used a template for Word and had no issues. I like that they aren''t the ordinary square edged cards and I love the fact that they are two sided as I think you can always put more info. on your card! I haven''t had any issues with ripping or any problems with removing them, just bend them inward and they work like a charm.

The Avery 5371 snap out cards are much better than these:

1. With these cards you only get 8 cards per sheet instead of 10 cards. That''s 20% less for a higher price.

2. Make sure you realize that these cards have rounded corners rather than square. I don''t think they look as professional but the real issue is that they do not snap out as cleanly as the square corners.

3. Because these only have 8 cards per sheet you''ll have to download a special template. If you happen to be a Mac user this will be a serious problem because the standard template in Pages, which works great with Avery 5371, will not work with these sheets. Avery does not provide any Mac iWorks templates for any of their business cards and downloading and converting a Word template is next to impossible.

Stick with the Avery 5371 snap outs.

These cards do not come out easilyfollowing the directions, I still had an average of 1 per page end up getting a rip. The templates are terriblethe pre-made ones don''t work well, at least not on my Mac, and I used a blank one and spent forever on the design, only to have it print a solid inch off the card, when my design was only on the card. I re-did the design, and continually had problemsI tried 2 different printers, and the cards continually print crooked, as the pages get stuck in the printer. Not recommended.

I checked all the prices on Amazon and elsewhere, and this was the best price I could find for on this particular kind of product. It was sold in the quantity I needed. We have used this paper for 2 months and it performed perfectly in our Ingenico terminal, and we had no problem with this paper at all. Will buy here again when we run out.

Um, well this is paper. Great quality.. dont know much to say about the product. It works great with my machine so....

The only thing i disliked was when they told me a estimated arrival date and it was off by a whole week. That i was very unhappy about since i needed it right away.

After spending so much money on 9rolls at Office Depot, we needed to look for another source for rolls. This is an amazing deal for these rolls of thermal paper...have no idea how they make money but great for us!

Buying for a thrift shop that supports an animal shelter, I was always shopping for the best price for the best product. I wouldn''t take a chance buying inferior products, but searched several sites regularly watching for the best prices on our supplies. If possible, I would also try to order when I could get free shipping. I ordered this product from this compsany twice; both times they were prompt and the rolls were perfect. My only issue with them is if you don''t want the product and need to return it, Gorilla Paper does not return messages other than to say there is no one there to talk to you. So be aware that if you buy something from them, it''s yours. I don''t know about exchanges. Maybe they''ll talk to you for exchanges. The extra boxes of register tapes I ordered I donated to another store supporting homeless animals.

Victor Wood Midnight Black Collection (5500-5) Save 3% off

Victor Wood Midnight Black Collection, Tidy Tower Desktop Organizer, Black,
  • Store all needed office supplies in one convenient place
  • 1 large drawer and 2 small drawers
  • Large top tray for active items
  • Slot for reference material
  • 13" L x 11" W x 11" H

This really is a good-looking desktop storage unit. This is great for people like me who work in offices or at desks with few drawers and don''t keep a lot of paper on their desk. 98% of my work is done on the computer and I rarely print anything that must be kept in a file... The little drawers glide smoothly and are great for holding all of those small things that tend to clutter up the desk. It''s well-constructed and the black paint is smooth, doesn''t seem like it will chip and has more of a matte to satin finish. The unit does appear to be constructed from solid wood. Very attractive and functional though I think the price is a little high. They charge nearly 100$ for the unit on their website... No way I''d pay that, didn''t want to pay 75 but this was the only option out there that looked like it would meet my needs design-wise in addition to being a fair-quality item.

I was hesitant to spend this much on a desktop organizer for our home but so happy I did! I love this! Very sturdy and simple yet elegant looking. Holds a lot of stuff. One of the small drawers has a divider, which is nice. I keep our bills to be paid on top and files/papers that I need to hang on to for a bit in the second slot. Everything I was looking for to clean up our desk area! Classic piece that we will use for a long time I am sure. Very happy customer!

Epson Expression Home XP-400 Wireless All-in-One Color Inkjet Printer (C11CC07201) Save 20% off

Epson Expression Home XP-400 Wireless All-in-One Color Inkjet Printer, Copier, Scanner. Prints from Tablet/Smartphone. AirPrint Compatible
  • Small-in-One design
  • Easy wireless printing
  • Card slots, 2.5-Inch LCD and touch panel
  • Mobile device printing
  • Quiet Operation

This is one of Epson''s budget home printers, but I am surprised at how many great features it has! The list includes wireless printing, scanning, copying, as well as an SD/memory card slot and a pop-up, LCD, touch screen front control panel.

Upon unboxing, you will see that this is a small printer. The dimensions closed are 15.25" wide x 5.50" tall x 12" deep. With paper loaded in the back and the paper tray extended in the front, the dimensions are 15.25" wide x 12" tall x 17.50" deep.

Be sure and take all of the packing tape and foam off and out of the printer before using. Epson suggests having a USB printer cable (NOT included) available for printer setup, even if you will be using this printer wirelessly. I have set up several Epson wireless printers and have never needed a USB cable. Here are the steps I use for an easy, trouble-free installation.

On your computer, go to Epson dot com and under support and drivers, enter XP-400 and download the combo software driver package. Even though a CD with the drivers comes included, they are invariably outdated so get the latest ones from Epson. While you are at it, bookmark (and later print) the full User''s Guide at Epson. It contains much more information than the printed Quick Guide that is included in the box.

While it is downloading, power on your printer. It will direct you to install the ink cartridges (included). Then, on the LCD touchscreen, select wifi setup. You will need to know the name of your wireless network (SSID) and the password, if any. Once this setup is complete, it will offer to print a wifi confirmation test page, so load some paper if you wish to do this.

Now go to your computer and install the software and drivers you just downloaded. When it asks, select "this printer is already connected to my wireless network" and continue with the installation. When it finishes, including any firmware upgrades, you''re ready to print! By the way, if there are several computers in your home, you must install the combo software drivers package on EVERY computer that wishes to print to this printer.

Note: if you print the initial test pages during installation, you will notice it is excruciatingly slow. Don''t worry after installation is complete, printing, scanning and copying is much speedier.

Text is crisp and clear and color printing is vibrant. You will get the best results using premium inkjet paper or premium photo paper, but text documents are quite acceptable on plain, old copy paper. Photos on photo paper are pretty darn good! Not photo lab quality, but you could certainly frame a print for your desk and not be unhappy with the quality.

Scanning in professional mode produces excellent scans! The Epson scanning software offers many options to suit your needs and is relatively easy to figure out even without reading the user''s manual.

The SD/memory card slot on the front of the printer lets you print without even turning on your computer! You can even print a preview sheet of all the photos on the SD card from your digital camera.

A nice surprise is that this printer features Air Print, Epson Connect and Google cloud printing! Air Print means that for me, I can print from my iPhone, iPad or iPod without any additional setup! Epson connect lets you print remotely from anywhere you are. Google cloud printing lets android users print wirelessly from their phones and other devices and even lets you share your printer with others.

I''m very surprised at how many features this printer has. Because it''s a budget printer, there is no paper tray and it doesn''t have fax capabilities and it''s not as speedy as the Epson WorkForce line. But I can definitely recommend it for home use at a very affordable price.

***EPSON CONNECT OUTAGE NOTICE***

I received an email last evening stating Epson Connect will be down the evening of Aug 28, 2012 through the morning of Aug 29, 2012 for upgrades. The exact time is dependent on time zone, obviously. I include this here for anyone trying to setup their new printer and not realizing why the Epson Connect (remote printing) isn''t working. I will remove this notice after the outage has transpired.

This printer is a very basic, no frills printer, easy to setup, cheap to maintain. It''s cost is comparable to similar models, the big plus are the very inexpensive individual ink refillslow cost for continued use.

This printer is ideal for someone who needs a basic inkjet color printer, low-cost ink, does not need a photo printer nor faxing capability and scans single pages at a time (such as scanning photos).

For what the printer is and what it is marketed as, it is a 5-star printer and I have rated it as such.

This printer does NOT have a document feed tray scans are a single page at a time.

This printer is NOT an all-in-one as it does NOT include a fax.

This printer is NOT a photo-quality printer.

This printer does NOT come with a USB cable as it is not needed on most wireless networks.

If you need the above capabilities (document feed tray, faxing, etc) consider the Epson Workforce line of printersthey are also easy to setup, very reliable, and use reasonably priced consumables (ink).

Just bought this from Staples for $69.99. I was going for the Canon MX410 or MG4120; however, we bought it over these even though it was $10 more mainly because of the size (much smaller and space saving) and the multi-ink cartridges (4 Black, Yellow, Blue, and Red). The cartridges will only cost $8.99 each for the colored ones and $12.99 for the black ink. One reason I chose this printer is to minimize the cost on the ink. I will have to do some more research on buying ink at a greater discount (i.e., Office Depot store brand). The test quality of the copy of the Staples weekly advertisement done at the store was excellent.

We are going to use this printer for general document printouts at the house (i.e., will not use to print 4 x 6 pictures) and to make copies. The set-up took me about 25 mins. since I had to clean the area where the old HP printer was and took my time reading the instructions. You could probably do it in 10 mins. It took no time to set-up the printer on my wife''s MacBook Pro. I was looking forward to printing from my phone (Motorola Droid RARZ using MOTOPRINT) and it took less than 30 secs. to add the printer and print a PDF document I had previously viewed. It printed within a minute. Please note that I did not have to download any other apps to do this. I will try printing a test page away from the house (i.e., when I am at the store or work to see if it can be done). I then printed a page from Yahoo! on my wife''s iPhone and it started printing in less than 10 secs. and both pages were done printing in 15 secs. or so. I then set-up the WiFi on the printer itself by adding the password and it was really quick.

In conclusion, and although I have had the printer for less than 1 hour, I am very satisfied with my purchase and don''t regret it. I''ve always owned multiple Canon printers and my wife owned an HP. I will update my review in a month or so after more usage.

My husband would be the first to tell you I''m not a techie. But I found this printer to be painless to install and a real joy to use.

1) Before we discuss the actual device, I first want to praise the packaging of all things. Frankly, I was shocked at how small the box was when the printer came in the mail. This is a model of how printers ought to be packaged.

2) The quick installation sheet that came with the printer was easy to understand and follow. Like I said, painless. The one caveat here is that I just updated to OSX Mountain Lion, and the installer that came on the enclosed CD said it was incompatible with my operating system. I knew that the next thing to do was to go to Epson''s web site and download an updated, Mountain Lion-friendly driver, and sure enough, Epson''s website almost intuited that this was what I was looking for. I only wish, for the sake of others perhaps less experienced in this sort of thing, that Epson had taken the time to add "Please visit our website for appropriate installation software" or something to that effect to the "incompatible with your system" dialog on the original install program.

3) The LED control panel is incredible. It''s easy to read and very easy to use, even with just four arrows and an "OK" key. Really that''s all you need. The fact that I could actually key in my lower-case wireless router password is a big plus over the last wireless printer I installed and I mean BIG PLUS.

4) Oh and this printer also has an SD slot for printing photos straight off memory media, again unlike the last wireless printer I installed.

5) The printer works really well with OSX''s built-in Image Capture program, which is smart on Epson''s part as other printer manufacturers would just have tried to craft their own substitute which would not have been nearly as good. Why reinvent wheels unnecessarily?

6) My only real gripe with this device (other than the fact that I had to figure out on my own to download my installation software directly from Epson and which I don''t think is really a gripe given how recently Mountain Lion was released) is that it doesn''t have a document feeder for the copier / scanner as far as I can tell. This has the potential to be a real nuisance for anyone who needs to copy or scan more than three pages at a time. In my case, however, I can just use my other wireless printer which does have a document feeder for its copier / scanner, but I''m under no real illusions that most people have spare copiers lying around at home.

But, as I said, this is a great buy for its price point, and recommended.

Please let me know if this review was helpful.

I''ve been using the cheaper Canon PIXMA MG3120 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One (5289B019) which I bought at Walmart on sale. This one compared to the Canon, although they have the same features seemed to be the better buy from my using experience so far.

It was easy to set it up my my MacBook Pro using the wireless features. No problems at all. I am using Mac OS X Version 10.6.8 and set up was a breeze. My Canon although I''ve set it up numerous times, my computers still has issues connecting and printing to it. This one I had no problems connecting to all 3 computers, 2 Macs and 1 Windows 7. The ink is also much cheaper than the Canon. The initial ink that is sent with the computer I''m not sure how long it will last but I''ve done quite a bit of printing and it''s still going. There is 4 ink cartridges to be replaced when it''s time to replace them, but the Canon prints a lot better in my opinion when it does connect.

I still gave it 3 stars because of the stability of the product. It seems cheaply made, that if any pressure is placed on anything it will break easily so you have to be careful. The touch pad feels the same way as well. There is also no bottom tray feeder so all paper has to be top loaded. The printer quality is also not top notch but is perfect for the kids school reports etc. Picture quality isn''t that great either so you may want to continue paying to get your pictures printed somewhere else. Scanning and copying is a breeze.

Edit: I must mention that it does not have automatic duplex printing. You''ll have to do it manually.

Wish I could have given it at least 4 stars but for the price I expected something better built.

GBC HeatSeal H212 JamFree Laminator (1702900)

GBC HeatSeal H212 JamFree Laminator, 9.5 -Inch Width Capacity, 3 mm to 5 mm Pouch Thickness, Gray
  • Jam-Free technology eliminates pouch wraps and machine jams
  • Carrier-free lamination reduces laminating time
  • Adjustable hot and cold settings
  • LED power and ready light
  • Limited 1 year warranty

I had a very cheap GBC laminator that lasted for many years, but it finally gave out. I decided to try a Fellowes Saturn SL95 9.5IN Office Laminator, but after having terrible problems with it (see separate review) ended up returning it and purchasing the GBC H212 instead.

The H212 works extremely well. The variable heat adjustment allows getting the heat just right for whatever combination of paper, ink, and pouch is being used. It also has an automatic shutoff that will power the machine down after 1 hour of non-use. That''s a great feature, especially for home or small office where usage is occassional.

I have used this laminator with both 3 and 5 mil pouches (both Fellowes and GBC brands) for laminating 20lb, 24lb, and 28lb paper. It has performed well with all.

I love this laminator, it has hot and cold settings, and small enough to fit on any desk. Perfect for any project, worth every penny.

Want GBC HeatSeal H212 JamFree Laminator (1702900) Discount?

The "Jam Free" laminator broke after one week of (not heavy) use. A piece of paper got stuck, and you can''t open the laminator to get it unstuck. (There are big warning stickers on it, and the online user guide also made it clear that you can''t open it to un-jam it.) So now I have an expensive paperweight, with no way to fix it, no way to contact the company, and no way to laminate the items we need. A total waste of money.

This is the second one of these units I have ordered. The first unit one died within one year. It gradually acquired the same problem the new one came with. As the laminated page is coming out of the back on the laminator, it hits the plastic teeth on the back of the machine, which causes the page to crumple onto itself again and again. This completely destroys whatever you are trying to laminate. I would not recommend this product.

Wow! These lables are great! They arrived in a box, but not just any boxa blue box! They were rolled on two spools of 100% cardboard, perfect for my Dymo Label printer. It''s like they were made for each other! The labels themselves were just right. They were rectangular with an aspect ratio that made them well suited for addresses (my primary use for them). They were so white, like little uniform, rectangular snowflakes. As a bonus, they were covered with adhesive on one side. Because of this, I could peal them off the backing paper (free!) and actually stick them on envelopes without using messy glue or tape. For anyone who addresses envelopes, this product is a must!

I ordered 3 boxes of these labels (30252) from Amazon -NOT from a cooperating supplier. The packaging looked to be a genuine DYMO product. The DYMO logo appears on every side of the box, and you are urged to contact DYMO for postage.

The package I received looked exactly as pictured on the Amazon site.

The labels themselves, however, lack black squares on the reverse side of the label tape. My recently purchased LabelWriter 450 -and possibly other LabelWriters -refuse to print on labels that lack these black squares.

While I am not happy that DYMO locks its customers into buying their expensive labels, I am also not happy that Amazon shipped me counterfeit (?) "DYMO" labels that will not work in my LabelWriter 450. I suppose it is possible that DYMO added the black squares "feature" recently, and the labels I received were out-of date. Either way I have labels that simply do NOT work.

Just bought this printer tonight as a replacement for my Canon I950 which died on me recently. I am resigned to the fact that every couple of years you have to upgrade your printer either due to failure or new introduced features. I had compared this printer with the HP8250 and feel quite comfortable with my choice of the Canon.

Setup: Flawlessly, exactly as described in quick setup guide. The LEDs on the print cartridges are cool although of course you cannot see them unless the cover is open. Here''s hoping it will be a long time before they start blinking!

Photo Printing: I have printed a variety of photos using 4x6 paper. The quality is very good but still not up to the level of a print from photo processing at Costco. The sharpness is pretty good but the richness and saturation, "fullness" if I may call it still isn''t quite there. From various reviews I have read, it really seems you need more then six color printers to really rival processed prints. Having said that, I''m convinced that anybody in the office hallway that you hand a 6600D print to is going to say it''s very good. It is noticeably better then the HP8250 that I had done comparison tests. I printed pics using both the Canon photo plus and photo pro paper. It is very hard to tell the difference between the two but yes the Pro is just a tad sharper and also when you rub your finger across it a bit more smooth then the plus. Still does not approach the smoothness of a processed print. That is another reason why I still prefer processed prints. You can rub your finger across them and you don''t get that tacky, sticky feeling you get from doing the same with a ink jet photo. Overall I would not say the photo quality is not that much enhanced over the I950. I am really hoping the inks prove themselves in longevity though.

Text printing: Here I was pleasantly surprised. I cannot find a good example from my I950 but is the text blacker? It still isn''t a match for my $150 laser but I think would suffice fine for a person that mainly wants a photo printer but wants to occasionally print text.

Printing speed: Overall very fast. My I950 blew away any previous inkjet I had owned and this is a notch faster still.

Other things: I see there is still a quirk with the Canon driver also present on the I950. That is when selecting a photo paper and choosing custom setting rather then high, the slider notch between fast and fine is not all the way towards fine. I wonder if selection high, the notch is set the furthest towards high or is it a setting below like in custom. I have not tried the bottom loading cassette yet. If it works fine then that will be a nice option as I can load it with photo paper. I played with the LCD and direct photo printing at the store but haven''t yet at home. It seems to work ok and is bigger then a lot at 3.5"

All and all I would highly recommend this printer except to say if you wanted absolutely top notch photo printing, you''ll still have to move up the ladder. My how far things have progressed since buying my $500 HP560 back in 1993.

Buy Canon PIXMA iP6600D Photo Printer Now

I bought this printer a few months back as a replacement for my Canon i860 that has been a workhorse. I was attracted by the direct printing from memory cards, as well as the additional photo color cartridges for better prints. I had been eyeballing this printer from the time it was released to retailers.

I have rather mixed feelings about this printer, but I think the easiest way to describe it is by listing the positives and negatives.

Positive:

1. Outstanding photo printing. I thought my i860 printed great photos (it does-even with generic inks), but the iP6600D is a step better. I too have used processors to print some photos before, and when using Canon Photo Paper Pro Glossy paper, this printer is every bit as good as those processed prints. In fact, I have had people ask both if the photos were film and professionally printed.

2. Two paper loading options the back primary for standard paper, the drawer for photo paper. This can be set up in the driver to auto-select based on the type of printing job (*but...seee negatives). It is convenient to not have to manually swap paper or turn a switch to change paper.

3. Quiet this printer is somewhat quieter than my i860

4. Nice LCD screen for direct editing/printing of photos on photo memory cards.*

5. Seperate ink tanks economy of replacing only those inks that are needed not an entier combo tank.*

6. Lots of features not found in many other printers in the same price class.

7. Fast printing.

Negatives:

1. Inks are relatively expensive for individual colors (compared to my i860). For Canon inks, they run around $17 each (with 6 tanks....ouch). Thus far, there are no 3rd party ink cartridges that are compatible with this printer. My i860 printed photos very close to the same quality using cheap inks as the Canon inks.

2. The Memory Card reader the box advertises that it is xD compatible but in reality, the printer requires an adaptor for xD to function in this printer and Canon doesn''t even market or sell such an adaptor (have found elsewhere for $30+). Wording on marketing material should be clarified in this regard. Borders on false advertising.

3. Large footprint this printer takes up a lot of room several square inches more than my i860.

4. Driver can be a bit tempermental in regards to the paper source. It is suppose to (when properly set up) automatically select the appropriate paper source photo paper in tray or standard paper in regular paper feed. The driver often does not make the right selection pulling regular 8.5X11 paper when printing 4X6 photos. Thus wasting ink and causing an inconvenience. I am hoping future releases of the driver will fix this bug.

5. Text printing the text printing of this printer is not quite as clean and sharp as my Canon i860 (or many other printers for that matter). I guess this to be because of the use of only one black cartrige for both photos and text. The i860 has two black cartridges one specifically for text, the other for photos -

Overall, thsi printer has potential to be a great printer particularly for photos. It''s text printing ability and relative high cost of inks are the traits that have encouraged me to keep my Canon i860 going. IF Canon can get the driver working correctly and inks come down a bit in price, I will use this printer a lot more.

AN UPDATE While I would say that this was one of the better printers I have owned, it died about 6 months after purchase with dead print heads. As new heads cost nearly as much as the printer itself it was replace.

First of all, these consumer reviews are the best and twice now have helped me to either rectify a bad purchase decision or make the right decision first time. So thanks to all who take the time to contribute.

This printer is EXCELLENT in almost every respect. The quality of the printed images is unbelievable even on ''standard'' output. It far exceeds the quality of the Epson RX500 we were using previously. Its FAST. We print in ''batches''; sometimes as many as sixty 8.5"x11"s at a time. This printer is an absolute dream. To have superior quality photos run off at speed is very very valuable to us as a small business. So far, ink usage appears better than the Epson, but only time will tell and we have only had the printer a week.

The reason I gave this printer 4 stars and not 5 is because we operate a small network of computers with mostly PCs, and one Mac. The printer is hooked up to one of the PCs via USB as a ''shared'' printer. Although the Mac can see it, it can''t print to it through the network (unlike all the other printers we have owned, including the Epson). My suspicion is that this is due to a driver issue since the printer model isn''t available through the Print & Fax function when the remote printer is being selected. It IS available when the Mac is hooked up directly to the printer, without going via the network.

Knowing this, would I make a different choice of printer or take this one back? Absolutely no way. The advantages of this printer are so far superior to anything else we could find on the market at a reasonable price-point, I consider it worth the inconvenience to the Mac user (who is me!). Great printer, and fingers crossed a ''fix'' will be available soon to rectify the network issue.

If you''re looking for a low-cost printer that prints REAL photo-quality prints on high-quality paper, this IS the one! I have printed photos on Epson, HP, and Lexmark, but none approach the quality of prints coming off this machine. It is remarkable. For the price -heck, even for a higher price -this printer outperforms everything I''ve seen. I don''t know how one could do better.

4X6 prints come out in about 10 seconds. Quality is indiscernible from lab prints. On heavy (9 mil or greater) glossy paper, it produces photos that are beautiful, unmarred, and perfect in every respect. No skewing, no weird lines, nothing but pure fidelity to the original image. It''s as close to perfect as I could imagine.

However, if you intend to do anything other than photo printing, be ready for third-rate text rendering. I printed documents with color and black text, and compared with an HP DeskJet, the Canon is weak at best. I was surprised that a printer that could do such a stunning job with photos did such a low-quality job printing text.

I''ll keep my HP DeskJet 1220c for text. My Canon 6600d for photos. Both are the top inkjets at what they do best.

Did not buy this printer from Amazon.com because I found a better deal at Office Depot''s post Thanksgiving Day sale for 125.00 after rebates but I will give my opinions here for the IP6600D. For this price I can live the shortcommings of the lower tray paper problem expressed by others but what''s wrong with using the upper tray because you can only load one 4x6 at a time anyway and it is much easier to load the upper than the lower it has worked fine for me and just use the lower tray for 8.5x11 sized plain paper. As for printing quality for this price I don''t think it gets any better for out of the box with minimal adjustments on settings, I am not an avid picture printer but this is just so easy to do with this printer. As for ink cost I think these tanks are larger than most and should provide longer life, I went to Canon''s web site and found some interesting facts about amounts of pages per ink color and was very impressed although these were color sample test and not real life picture prints still the numbers of pages per tank were quite impressive. As for Canon printers this is my first and I am a happy camper.
