This paper is well finished and prints and feeds well in my large format printer. Single weight does not feed or print consistently well, this Double Weight does. Prints hold up well too with this.

Love this doubleweight-matte paper by Epson. I use it with my Epson 9900 and have never had a problem with it. The color quality is great, both for delicate lines and full-bleed matte photos. Ink dries instantly on this media and never smudges. The Epson paper stays flatter post-print then other generic papers I''ve used of the same paper-weight.

I bought these for my small business so that we could to use them when sending our products to children. Normally we use brown, recycled envelopes but sometimes you just have to have some fun. They are bright and cheery and strong enough to protect our product.

The product I produce is for sleep apnea patients so the little ones are already having significant breathing problems if their parents are buying our product. I''ve found that receiving our product in such happy envelopes gives our little customers a welcomed "gift" rather than just another business purchase.

HP 60XL CC641WN#140 Ink Cartridge-Black Save 23% off

HP 60XL CC641WN#140 Ink Cartridge-Black
  • This high capacity inkjet cartridge produces up to 3 times more pages than the standard yield HP 60 cartridge
  • Our compatible HP 60XL high capacity black ink cartridge replaces the HP CC641WN inkjet cartridges
  • It is used by the HP Deskjet D2500 and F4200 series inkjet printers

While HP will gladly sell you a multipurpose printer scanner copier cheap they forget to tell you that the ink is the most expensive Item on the list, the standard # 60 cartridges (tricolor or Black) has so little print time that its worthless unless, you use your printer about once a month. If you print as often as I do with many large titles and much in bold print for booklets I make as hand outs in teaching firearms concealed carry safety classes then the only way to go is with the 60XL cartridges both tricolor and Black. Local stores don''t carry the XL series in this area so I order mine here. I''m going to try some refurbished Cartridges very soon. I have had great success with them in another HP printer, I would suggest trying them and see if you get the same good results as I have. The HP cart work perfect but so do Inksmile refurbished in my experience at about 30% or more off HP prices.

This cartridge does its job. Too bad they disallow refills (special cartridge design) and don''t allow generic versions. Too bad... think twice before buying a printer with this type of cartridge.

I have an HP multifunction printer which has worked relatively error free. I''ve used HP toner cartridges in the past but hated being tied to HP''s price gouging.

So, I decided to go out on a limb and try a non-HP cartridge.

On installation of the printer cartridge the HP application that controls the printer refused to see a new cartridge and insisted that it was close to being empty. However, I was still able to print, and the print quality of the cartridge was just as good as the HP "branded" cartridge. After about a week, the HP application tells me that the cartridge is empty and it then refuses to print... anything.

After doing some online reading there is apparently a chip that HP adds to the cartridges so that it recognizes whether or not you''re using one of their cartridges. I tried some of the suggested online fixes but nothing worked. The HP application refuses to acknowledge anything but an HP branded cartridge.

While I hate that HP can extort users through the use of technology I''m also not thrilled that this non-HP cartridge wasn''t manufactured to work on an HP printer in the same way an HP cartridge would have. The cartridge is at least 80% full and I''m going to have to throw it away. However, as side note, after this experience, I''m also throwing away the HP printer and will look for a competitive product from any vendor who does not build in disabling functionality in order to protect their revenue.

4 not 5 stars b/c WE ALL HATE HP for sucking us into their printers and screwing us with their overpriced ink cartridges. We all know bargain and refill cartridges are a dice-roll. I currently have a DESKJET F4280. I used my first black ink 60xl and am WOWED by how much capacity it has, COMPARITIVELY, to the regular 60 which SUCKS. I''m a grad student/adjunct teacher. I print constantly. This semester, for the first time, I wasn''t running out of ink for lectures the morning of and having to rush to school in order to print in the labs. I teach 2 courses, printing roughly 8-15 pages (usually 1.5 spacing TNR 12pt) 2-3 times/weekly minimum; and have printed many articles, maybe a couple dozen, all at "Fast draft black & white" the lowest ink-usage setting. That setting does the job and the cartridge lasted through the semester, just dying the day I turned in my grades! With the regular capacity cartridges with this printer and my old super-cheap HP printer I was running out of ink every two weeks unless I structured my life around printing at school.

Bottom line: costs more, but its worth every penny if you print b&w non-quality docs regularly.

When my workhorse HP laser jet died on me, I went with an HP desk jet. This was a big mistake. I seem to go through either the black or color cartridge every other month even though I do very light printing. My laser cartridges used to last over a year. I guess the only thing to do is buy another laser for every day use and save the color printing when needed.

Two weeks after deployment the printer ran out of toner (understandable). Bought a new Xerox brand toner cartridge ($249) and the printer says the cartridge is not a valid Xerox cartridge. So, we assume it''s a bad cartridge. Order a replacement cartridge only to get the same error again. Call Xerox and they say we have to take the printer to a repair depot 30 miles away. I ask about upgrading the warranty to an onsite warranty and they say that is possible but I have to print out a configuration page from the printer to be able to do that. I explain that I can''t print a configuration page because the printer won''t print and the guy tells me there is no other option than to take it to the repair depot. I explained to the guy that there has to be a way to upgrade the warranty without printing that page and he says there''s not. When I told him it''s just crazy that Xerox would setup a system that would require their customers to drive 30 miles away to a depot when they were willing to pay for the onsite service the "customer support" guy tells me "Well, you had the opportunity to buy the onsite warranty when you bought the printer." So I tell him "Yeah, I have the same opportunity with the HP printers I''ve been buying. But I have never needed those warranties. This is the first time I''ve tried a Xerox printer and, thanks to your helpfulness, it will be the last."

HP C3833A Premium Ink Jet Paper (Glossy)

HP C3833A Premium Ink Jet Paper
  • Glossy inkjet paper
  • 8.5 by 11 inches
  • 10 sheets per box
  • For all HP DeskJet and DeskWriter printers
  • Genuine HP quality product

While I don''t particularly find much use for most of HP''s premium paper line, their glossy papers offer a sufficiently distinct printing experience that one can easily find a use for them. They make excellent paper for final copies of work you intend to display, or even for stuff you merely intend to archive.

This glossy, however, is not particularly recommendable because of its low value-for-money. Only ten sheets are available here. For virtually the same price you can get their professional brochure & flyer paper, which is double-sided and comes in a 50-pack. I therefore can''t see an economic rationale to buying this otherwise excellent paper. Look for HP product number C6817A instead.

What fun are your digital pictures if you can''t print some of them and take them along?

Thats exactly what I do sometimes and this paper gives me exactly what I need. This glossy paper gives my printed pictures quality as sharp as my computer displays them. Combined with a quality printer ( i use an HP 842C ), colors come out vivid and the clarity is very nice.

Sure its expensive, but if you want to print your digital pictures then this is the paper for you. Hope this helps.

Caveat: I own an R1800 Epson printer, not the 2200, 2400 or anything bigger. My R1800 makes the best prints I''ve ever seen--no joke--even when compared to commercial lab quality. The Epson supplied premium paper profiles are excellent--no need to anything beyond profiling your monitor to get dead-on color. These sheets are so much larger than 8x10 or even 11x14 that it''s hard to imagine withought seeing it. The prints themselves are very sharp, saturated, with excellent contrast and durability. Prints made with the R1800 and this paper will reportedly last 105 years!

This is really nice paper that takes ink well and dries fast. I mostly use it for posters and the glossy finish gives them a really professional look in my classroom.

For photo-work the dot resolution is good, as is the color balance. I guess it could be better with the premium papers but not significantly unless you really picky. I like the black/white balance and have done a number of monochrome shots with this paper for display.

The papers don''t stick to each other either which can be a problem with some glossy papers and whilst the paper is touch dry out of printer it is fully dry after about one hour.

I was hoping all the negative reviews about the current Epson printers were exaggerated because Epson has the print quality I need plus the waterproof ink. Unfortunately the reports are mostly true. The paper handling on this printer is very squirrelly. Everything else works beautifully. Epson badly needs to improve their paper feed system. I think that the printer does fine with standard print paper and OK with premium paper if you are not printed double-sided. Even printing on a rainy day may be problematical. I have an idea that these printers may be closely calibrated for Epson brand papers only, and print unreliably on other brands. I am going to test this idea and update this review later.

UPDATE: Here''s the thing; unless you are printing on plain paper, you have to feed the sheets one by one or it just won''t pick them up in fewer than 5 tries. And it DOES seem to work better with Epson paper.

Buy EPSON Stylus NX330 Small-in-One - All-in-One Printer - Refurbished Now

Bought the NX330 to replace my Epson NX400 whose cyan print head permanently clogged or should I say I refused to pay the $60 in ink to use to clean the heads 4 TIMES to get it to unclog. Tossed it and bought the NX330 for $50 plus tax (its replacement ink costing more than that) at Walmart which actually was a big improvement over the year old NX400 I paid at OfficeMax for $70.

At least with NX330 I didn''t get the needle thin white trail markings across photos caused by pizza wheel paper guides as I did with the NX400 which I had to loosen the screws on its pizza wheel roller bar in order to raise them up off the paper. Unfortunately, doing this shortened the print area length on letter sized paper preventing borderless printing. I was ready to get rid of it anyway.

I really like the NX330 for its fast and sharp B&W photo copying. I never got any paper jams as others report. I even put 20 sheets of plain paper with one thick Ultra Premium Glossy Photo paper on top in the feeder and printed a photo and the printer only grabbed the photo paper and left the others behind without any jams.

I actually buy these cheap Epson "All In Ones" mostly for occasional 8x10 photos which are excellent enough for framing. As usual color matching is very close with a slight adjust to the blue channel in Photoshop''s Levels tool and I get pretty much spot on results to my calibrated Dell 2209WA LCD I bought on Amazon. See the image sample I included to show print match and quality.

My only slight gripe is the micro banding in the dark portions of my photos, but it''s so fine you can only see it with a magnifying glass. At least It''s a lot better than my NX400.

At these prices and ink cost these models can now be considered disposable devices if they ever break down or their heads clog requiring dumping a ton of ink to clear them. What a waste. You''ld think they''ld come up with another method of print head maintenance cleaning that didn''t involve such an expense.

I sell on Amazon, ebay, and also run a home based Business, So I rely on MY PRinter and need something Reliable and cannot afford problems with my main printer, I have owned 5 Printers/All in ones in the last 2-3 years! 3 of the the 5 being HP a Brother and a CAnon, I do use them alot, SCanning and printing mainly... But I would say out of the 5 previous to This EPSON all above $75.00 retail, NONE OF THEM PERFORMED AS EASY TROUBLE FREE AS THIS EPSON that was 1/2 1/3 of the price of the others... The others I kept getting HORRIBLE Support from HP. With the HP Products I was Experiencing about 70% Up time 30% of the time they were down, They were a Hassle. The Brother was Good for quite a while and did very good, especially since I did buy the Brother Used.

My First Ever Printer Was an Epson and it Ran for years of Beautiful printing, good priced ink, and reliability, For some time Epsons have been hard to find But recently saw this one on sale, and I rememberd How well my first EPSON Worked, And TOTALLY FED UP With all other Brands.. I bought it at a Great price of $49.00 and even used a coupon. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS EPSON:

1. VERY EASY TO SETUP! The Whole Setup took an Easy 10 minutes VERY SMOOTH! The WI-FI Setup Soooo EASY!

2. It is Very Quiet and smooth cradle/printhead movement opposed to any other brand. (MY HP''s moved and made Noises for 2-3 minutes for a mini 1/4 page print. This Epson gets to the point and Prints pretty fast without the noise and Extra movements of the other printers.

3. The PRINT QUALITY This color and print quality and sharpness of the prints Color and Black/White a EXCELLENT!

4. SO EASY TO USE on My First day using it I was backed up due to the dreaded HP Errors, I got done w/ Multiple Prints and scans, and Copies in a matter of minutes, Using it for the first time. A CHILD can Work This!

5. Very Smart or Advanced Scanner, with a Simple Button Press, Very Easy and Fast, High Quality SCans as well!

BOTTOM LINE I LOVE THIS PRINTER! IF I only had bought EPSON Product a year ago!?! This thing Rocks Out, SOOO EASY TO USE, and NO DOUBT ABOUT It the Best $40.00 I have Ever spent! This is one Epsons Cheaper Printers, and It outperforms my $95.00 HP''s and My $110 Brother, and $75 Canon Pixma, IT IS GREAT! EASY TO USE GREAT Quality Prints.

Only Downfall Not the Fanciest looking machine, But it is Very Compact for all that it does! And IT GETS THE JOB DONE FAST Without A SINGLE Problem So FAR. I am Convinced SIMPLER IS BETTER!

Now I am 100% SOLD ON ONLY EPSON PRINTERS/All in One''s etc. PRint Quality, Speed Ease of use and Reliability!

I WILL NEVER Buy Anything But an EPSON Again, + Theirs Inks are about 1/2 the PRICE OF HP Inks!

CANNOT LOSE WITH THIS PRINTER!

Not the Pretiest looking thing I give the design and Style a 7.5 out of 10 But For $40 Bucks It is truly an AMAZING MAchine, Sold for LIFE on EPSON Now!

I wish we never bought this printer. We''ve had nothing but errors, problems, and glitches ever since we took it out of the box. Some of the problems are it claims you''re out of ink when you''re not, it doesn''t recognize new ink cartridges when you do install them, it won''t even print in the color black if any of the other colors are empty, and it claims in can''t detect paper in the paper feed and refuses to print, when there IS paper in the paper feed. This is just the beginning, folks.

You''d think Epson would make a good printer by now. Oh, how I regret buying this printer. Nothing but struggling with it, and we''re busy people with better things to do than try to make sense out of a printer manufacturer''s inept, clumsy monster.

Canon PIDHV Printing Calculator

I purchased this calculator a week ago at Office Depot. I had a lot of difficulty loading the printer paper (just where exactly am I supposed to insert the paper?...) The most irritating thing for me about this calculator is that the decimal point is very tiny and tends to get lost (and hence very easy to overlook) among the otherwise large and very clear display numerals. Also the Print indicator is much too tiny for my liking.

As for the instructions they left me wondering what Canon was thinking when they designed the layout of the instructions. The instructions begin with calculation examples, then explain what the different keys are used for. Next is the list of specifications. Then follow instructions for loading and replacing the batteries. At this point, if you''re wondering how to load the paper, you''ll find them on the backside of the instructions rather than toward the beginning of the instructions where you might logically expect them to be. As for loading the paper, it took me several guesses before I finally figured out exactly where to insert the paper. Otherwise, I basically like the features of the calculator except for, in my honest opinion, the inadequately tiny decimal point.

In summary, the seemingly illogical order in which the instructions are laid out, an unsatisfactory decimal point size, and the unnecessary difficulty in loading the paper detract from an otherwise easy to use compact calculator with a very clear display and a nice printout. In conclusion, I would suggest checking out other calculators before purchasing this one to make sure you''re satisfied with all of its features.

Pantone Plus Series GPG003 ESSENTIALS ADVANCE, Eight-Guide Set

Pantone Plus Series GPG003 ESSENTIALS ADVANCE, Eight-Guide Set
  • 1,341 PLUS SERIES Solid Color choices
  • 2,058 Goe solid colors
  • Goe color selection and palette building tools
  • sRGB and HTML values provided for solid colors
  • 2,868 CMYK color choices, with screen tint percentages

I bought this set to replace my aging set from the late ''90s. The case is nice and stiff. If you keep them in the case they won''t change color as quick under florescent lights. Pantone recommends you change the books annually, but I''ve a set from the early ''80s and 95% of the colors still match the new guides. Certain pigments due fade over time. If you leave them in the sun, on a hot computer, in the car, or under the energy saving lights they''ll change color. (Even if the lights are color balanced.)

The names of the different guides has changed over the years so now they call the "Spot to Process" guides "Color Bridge." If you''re using an older application it might not be intuitive. The CMYK books with this set have the new naming convention and numbering sequence as one of the other reviewers stated, so the older DS color codes will not match them.

You''ll want to make sure the print shop you''re going to use has these guides on hand. There are a lot of new colors in the solid guides that are not included in the original solid color sets.("Plus") Your printer will need access to be able to get the ink mixtures for the new inks and for optical site matching and color density.

If you''re new to designing, you''ll need to make sure you indicate which matching system you''re referring to, whether it be Solid, CMYK, Pantone Process, or Goe color. All have different coding sequences. If you''re looking at the price tag on these, the Goe colors are newer so a lot of shops might not be using them yet... they are cool though. The other CMYK swatch books really won''t matter so much if you''re familiar with mixing CMYK colors. You might want to look into getting the Color Bridge set by itself and save a little scratch since it will show the solid spot color with the process conversion next to it if you don''t need every color in the rainbow to match.

If you use the Adobe Creative Suite line of products, you''ll need to visit Pantone''s site to download the Goe Color Palettes as well as the Pantone Plus Palettes since neither were included in CS5 at the time of this review. I would post a link, but I''m sure it would be removed. Once they''re installed they will show up under the swatches menu.

The new guides look good and will come in handy. It''s good to see the swatches on coated and uncoated stock. The addition of Bridge on uncoated stock is a necessary tool, as inks change appearance between coated and uncoated stock. The New GEO guides has a good color range, check with your ink vendor or local print shop for availability before specifying a color for print. You need to know it''s going to be available.

The digital version of the color libraries have not been added to the design software (at this time (Sept 2010)), to spec one of the GEO colors, a similar spot color would be chosen, and clear instructions need to be provided in order to make sure the wrong color is not used.

The CMYK libraries are completely new color formulas. They do not match the previous set of CMYK swatches and DO NOT invalidate the previously booked color swatches, it expands the range. So hold on to that older set of process swatches, they will come in handy.

The solid set that was included on matte paper was left out. For the most part, I have no complaints here. In reality, matte paper is not used often in the print shop I work in. It''s more expensive, subject to availability, and the ink can take longer to dry. My reason for wanting to hold on to the matte samples, is to have a printed sample to show to the customer. Most of the time when someone tells me they want a matte paper, they mean an uncoated stock. Matte paper has a dull coating, with the dull coating, comes a light shine (not high glossy shine). A true 100# matte stock feels thinner, compared to a 100# uncoated stock. So why are people getting matte and uncoated paper confused?

Features: The process swatches have CMYK color bars above the formulas, making it easier to define the color break down for the color. Three features were taken out the solid libraries. The four dots that suggest a color converts to CMYK fairly well. So that a company that has a specific PMS solid color can spec out a CMYK formula and get close to the same color. The three circles that suggest a color converts to RGB faily well, for the same reason, getting the company colors to close to the print collateral on the internet. The last feature to be taken out was the parts list. Parts have been replaced strictly by percentages. Parts, percentages, same thing, when it comes right down to it. Some people who mix ink see parts better than percentages when mixing small quantities. PMS 187: 12 parts warm red, 4 parts rub. red and 1 part black (percentages 70.6, 23.5 and 5.9) If mixing a pound, or half a pound, each part could be an ounce or half ounce. The total mix would be an ounce over a pound or half ounce over half a pound. Removing the parts breakdown, removes the parts to ounces comparison reference. Print shops are going to be holding on to the books that give a parts breakdown. You can''t just generate a list that says 5.9% is one ounce, PMS 1767 is 1 part 032 red and 15 parts transparent white, the percentage break down on the red is 6.2%.

The color swatches are a designer''s friend, don''t design without them. I think the digital versions of the color books should have been updated the same time the printed samples were released. Because there are going to be designer and print shops holding on to the older sets, I think this should have been marketed as a companion to the previous versions of the Pantone Essentials sets.

The paper stock is SO FLIMSY compared to previous years. Big disappointment. Totally not worth the price. I''m afraid to even look for a color myself, never mind handing it over to a client. This will get torn and ruined so fast.
