Panasonic KX-FLM671 Multi-Function Fax Machine

Panasonic KX-FLM671 Multi-Function Fax Machine
  • High speed laser printing/copying(14ppm/14cpm)
  • 33.6kbps Super G3 Fax
  • 300 Station Address Book
  • Scan to Email
  • Network Ready (10Base-T/100Base-TX)

This multi-function machine has a super high speed fax, fast laser printing, network scanning and also has a corded phone built-in

We bought this for our small business and have found it to be a time saver. Another nice thing about this machine is that it has built-in call ID so you can see who''s calling

The ease of use and set-up, everything that was needed to use came in the box(software, cords, manuals, etc.) We did have one question about the scanning to PDF so we called the 1-800 number and within 10 minutes we were familiar with the feature. We like the fact that there was additional help from Panasonic if needed.

For the price, a great machine.

We bought this machine as a stand alone fax. First set of ink ran out after three months of minimal use(1-2 pages per day). Replaced with Panasonic toner only to find out we have a bad drum. I talked to Panasonic "customer support" several times and each time they deny speaking to me about this problem the previous time. They will not support their products. We have since purchased a Brother Intellifax 2820 and love it. We had years of service from our HP and great customer service. Stay away from this machine.

Epson 820S Photo Inkjet Printer (Silver)

Epson 820S Photo Inkjet Printer
  • Up to 2,880 x 720 dpi resolution
  • Uses 6-color quick-drying inks for smudge-free results
  • Supports border-free printing on letter-size paper
  • Prints up to 12 pages per minute in black, or a 4 x 6 inch photo in 48 seconds
  • Parallel and USB interfaces; PC and Mac compatible

I haven''t done alot of printing even tho I bought this back at the beginning of the year. Recently bought an Olympus 3020 and printed some "1st day of school" pictures. I use Epson photo quality inkjet paper to do a first print test (720 dpi), then print final on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper (1440 dpi). If I put the "test" pics in a frame, no one would know that they were not printed at a lab. The glossy''s (8x10s and 5x7s) fool everyone I show if I didn''t tell them it was on my printer, they''d never know (of course the camera helps too). Haven''t seen a need to use the 2880 dpt yet.

Mine came with software Film Factory which is semi-easy to learn but easy to use after that. Even tho a full sheet of paper could hold 2 5x7s or 4 4x6s, the s/w won''t let me lay the print out that way. I get 2 5x7s by printing one at very top, then turn paper upside down and print again (after 1st print is dry).

If it''s not used often, the heads can become clogged. Does go through ink, so I always have replacement ready (color mostly have yet to replace the BW). I only use for photo printing. Have another for text so cannot say how it does there.

Using the USB port and can''t really say I''ve ever timed a print. I usually go and do something else while I wait I had a print freeze after 2/3 done when I went to do something else on the PC at the same time, so now I just leave it alone (system is W2k, AMD XP 1800, 512 DDR memory so the system is not anemic).

Had a few problems trying to get the USB driver set up and recognizing the printer, but after a few attempts at loading the drivers it all came together. Even w/these few problems, it deserves a 5.

I have always been partial to Canon and Lexmark printers, but the Epson Stylus 820s blew my mind away. Never had i had the ease of setting up a printer in seconds (i am not kidding...i really mean less than a minute). It has both parallel and USB connectivity, fantastic color print even on normal paper. And get this, the contents of the package include some photo glossy paper. Aside from the fact that it looks cool, it is not noisy like other printers i have used. It also spits out text documents in little or no time. The printer boasts of a feature called Print Imaging Matching (P.I.M), which greatly enhances printouts of digital pictures in outstanding quality..up tp 2800 x 720 dpi. But enough said, i could go on and on and bore people....if you are scouting around for an affordable color ink jet printer but desire just as much quality, look no further than the Epson Stylus 820s. For [the price] it is definitely the deal of the millenium.

This printer is good but slow. Good things come to those who wait though. You can hardly see the dots compared to HP, I won''t even dare compare lexmark''s ... output. HPs I''ve used also has banding which is very noticeable. I always get a "WOW" from people on glossy paper from non Epson photo users. 6 color inks do make a difference because even Epson users with 4 color printers notice the difference. ... The epson 820 prints only last for 1 year at best if displayed and not laminated. If I hang them on a door that is exposed to florescent light 24x7 it fades fast. When I keep them in one of those folders for pictures in good tempurature and conditions they look just as good, even 3 years from now.

Having a Epson Stylus Color, Photo 780 and now the Photo 820, I can tell you that this is the slowest of them all. (using the same G4 Titanium Powerbook. Printing out photo quality may make you wonder if it is even on...don''t cancel the job thinking it crashed the first time you use it like I did. That said, the print quality is respectable and the price is great (free if you buy a system). See Consumer Reports latest issue...up to 12 minutes for a photo quality sheet!

Epson thought their unique print head design would set their products apart, allowing superior quality prints. Instead, it''s their printers'' Achilles heel: because the print heads are not part of the ink cartridge, you can''t just switch cartridges to fix a messed-up print head, and there''s no way to get at the heads to clean them manually. With Epson printers, when your heads are badly clogged, there''s not much you can do except bring it to a repair shop. Maybe not even that.

This printer has had chronic problems with clogging, constantly showing stripes of missing color. The heads have needed to be cleaned almost every time I''ve printed anything, and I''ve spent at least 1/3 of each (expensive) ink cartridge just cleaning the heads, that process uses amazing amounts of ink. This week, the heads seem to be permanently gunked shut. I hadn''t printed anything in color in about 5 weeks, and each of the five colors is now either stripey or completely blocked, no matter how many times I run the "clean" routine.

Another stupid design choice: when just one of the 5 colors of ink runs out, you have to replace ALL FIVE. That''s ridiculous. Unless you''re Epson and want to make a killing on ink sales, that is.

Save yourself a lot of trouble, and avoid poorly designed printers -like this one.

Avery Index Maker Clear Label Dividers with 5 White Tabs 25 Count (11446) Save 52% off

Avery Index Maker Clear Label Dividers with 5 White Tabs 25 Count
  • Create Index Dividers that look professionally printed
  • Index Maker® enables you to utilize yourLaser or Ink Jet Printer to create custom index dividers

I had some problems with this item. The tabs are printed on clear plastic that are held in place on a backing sheet. You then remove a row of tabs and apply them to the actual divider pages, all 5 at a time. I found that sometimes when you tied to lift-up the tabs from the backing some of the backing paper came along with it making it so you could not adhere the tabs to the dividers.

I also found that the tabs are very "printer" sensitive, they did not like my fancy laser printer preferring my far cheaper ink-jet printer. When you have an equal quantity of tab pages to divider pagers with no option to buy just the tab pages, any printing error renders both unusable, this is a real problem for such an expensive product.

Additionally Avery''s label software, DesignPro, is cumbersome and although usable on a Mac, not very Mac friendly and I feel not much better on a PC.

Working for an engineering office, we write a lot of reports and they all need tabs. It''s nice to be able to print a custom tab and have it look so professional. The Avery products are made that much better by the templates you can download for free from the Internet. With this product I like that I can label a whole side of tabs all at once very fast and simple.

This is an excellent product, if a little expensive. Be sure you know what you''re doing before you waste a label sheet it''s easy to make costly mistakes if you don''t do a few test prints first. And I wish I could buy just the labels and not the tabs (I always need more labels than tabs).

My only other complaint (beyond the pricepoint) is that getting the strip of labels off the sheet can be a lesson in patience. As the other reviewer pointed out, it is easy to pick up the backing paper. Sometimes you pull the strip and the labels are left on the page and THAT is a giant PITA.

Regardless, if you want a super-professional look that is acceptable in any office, this is a very good product.

Pro tip: Type your tabs in order on one strip and then reverse their order on the next strip. That way you can label the front and the back of the tabs with ease.

I was sent 3 cartridges without Epson packaging. It was in Epson cartridges and vacuum sealed. However it makes me uneasy using product that is not in the cartridge packaging. I would have preferred to have this information available in the description ahead of time.

**Month later: the ink does work and so far we haven''t had any issues.

Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4050T Laser Printer

Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4050T Laser Printer
  • Prints up to 17 pages per minute at 1200 dpi resolution
  • 8 MB RAM standard, expandable to 200 MB, mass storage options
  • 3 paper trays, 65,000-sheet monthly duty cycle
  • Parallel and serial interfaces, 2 PCI-based EIO slots, Fast Infrared port
  • Option for HP JetDirect 600N (EIO) internal print servers for Ethernet, Token Ring, LocalTalk

Very fast 17 Pages per minute, great looking output at 1200 DPI, even better with the optional Ethernet 10/100 HP JetDirect 600N internal card. This printer is great as a shared network printer, or for users with large volumes of printing.

Only problem I''ve found is that if you are going to be printing large 1200 DPI graphics (like Photos), you will need to upgrade the memory from the base 8 MB of ram. As an alternative you could switch to 600 DPI instead, but the picture quality is reduced.

i purchased this printer about a year ago and the thing still works perfectly. We were able to get the thing up and running right away for our whole laboratory (12 shared users). The occasional software problem arises, but the amount of problems this printer encounters is FAR fewer than its predecessor. all in all, this is an excellent value and this printer performs the desired operation. I recommend this purchase.

I have at least one to two of this model printer in the offices I work at because they are so reliable, and need minimal maintenence. All of mine are in health care settings, where records are key. Some are one two or three trays. The toner last for many sheets of printing (never counted, but I know I probably go more than 1000 sheets at least). The printer rarely jams (except when I used really cheap thin paper), and the secretaries love the sheet feed selection if having to use overhead paper for a letter. The quality of the print (i believe up to 1200dpi) is great for black and white. Highly recommended investment, quite likely one of the last printers your office will need.

Original HP 02 Ink Cartridges Combo-Pack (5 Color Cartridges) Save 25% off

Original HP 02 Ink Cartridges Combo-Pack in Retail Packaging
  • Inkjet print cartridge color combo pack includes cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan, and light magenta ink cartridges
  • Compatible with wide range of HP Photosmart printers

  • Photos can last 100 or more years
  • 0.41 Lbs (WxLxH) 9.24" x 7.24" x 2.09"

I have confirmed through HP''s web site that the ink levels in the 02 combo pack contain the same amount of ink as if you purchased a single 02 color cartrige. Beware though, the value pack that comes with photo paper does not contain the same ink amounts and is therefore a rip-off. I believe the ink cartriges in the value pack are similar to the new ones you receive with a new printer. There are almost always partially filled cartriges supplied with new printers.

Also, the HP printer that use the 02 cartridges give the message that ink level is low and cartridge MUST be replaced". Don t be fooled. Many more pages can be printed before there is a need to replace the cartridge.

Many have been disappointed to find that HP has some packages with a smaller capacity ink cartridge and therefore not the value originally thought.

This ad does not detail the ink in a cartridge capacity; check with the HP site to determine product specifications and compare with the capacity of buying an individual color cartridge versus the group package. Caution advised. (And seller including capacity of each cartridge) Note that black cartridge (usually larger) and color cartridges vary in capacity.

Good product but be very, very careful that you buy the five cartridge combo pack that does not include black. That is the one with the most ink in each cartridge. The combo pack that is sold as a photo combo, includes the black cartridge and 150 sheets of 4x6 photo paper has a lot less ink in them. I finally even spoke with a person at HP that confirmed it. I had to get a person in sales (USA) that could confirm it. Technical support and customer service online live chat (not USA) had no clue. The five cartridge combo box shows the volume of each color like the individual cartridges. The photo combo doesn''t list the individual volumes only that it is enough to print 150 photos.

HP printers have always been the most convenient for me. We currently have a C6180 wireless printer and it works great, I just cannot believe how much ink we go through. Our old printer used 56 and 57 inks and we had to replace them much less frequently. These smaller color ink cartridges are a rip of in my opinion, they simply don''t last long enough for the price.

Post-it® Super Sticky Name Badge Labels (2800-M) Save 22% off

Post-it® Super Sticky Name Badge Labels, 2.3 x 3.3 Inches, White, 160 Name Badges
  • Post-it(R) Super Sticky Name Badge Labels move with your clothing and can be used on a variety of fabric surfaces
  • Recommended for use on clothing only
  • Not recommended for use on leather, suede, silk, velvet, corduroy, plastic or delicate fabrics

Summary: Seriously professional name tags with high quality feel and appearance.

Name tags tend to look rather chintzy, particularly if they don''t stick well, wrinkle, or the corners turn up.

If it''s a 1 hour meet and greet, this may not be much of an issue, but if you have an all day conference or multi-day seminar, it''s definitely noticeable.

Most of your less expensive name tags are thin paper, and the adhesive isn''t anything to write home about. These are made from a thick plastic film and have some serious adhesive. Definitely should last multiple applications on most fabrics. Normal cautions apply for leather, etc.

Downloadable template allows you to print from your computer. The plastic material also makes laser and ink jet printing look crisper kind of like the plastic coating on photo paper. Even magic marker looks nicer on this material. Sharper contrast and brighter colors.

Perforated so you can separate the name tags individually. At about 25 cents each, they cost more than other name tags but still are an inexpensive way to upgrade your next event!!!

If you''ve found this review helpful or have any questions/comments, please let me know!

Buy Post-it® Super Sticky Name Badge Labels (2800-M) Now

Lapels are generally not a good place for name tags since they are not quite big enough to stick the entire badge on (unless maybe you are wearing a 70s suit/leisure suit) and just big enough to cover it up if you put it on your jacket above the pocket.

Because these are super sticky you can just slap it on letting it overhang the lapel and not worry about it falling off. I wore one on my suit and it stayed in place, even when simulating some fancy dance moves (the robot, the hustle, eclectic slide). So, if you are going to be having a work party you can rest assured that while your guests are mingling and having a good time they won''t lose their badge.

I will say that the price of $14.99 is a little high especially because we get an off number of 160, Selling them in packs of 100 or 200 would better fit most peoples needs without the need to buy an extra pack for a few more or having alot left over when you only need a small amount.

The post-it name badges feed easily through my laser printer. I have not experienced any jamming, which is always a potential problem with label products. (I did not try them in an inkjet. Inkjet printings are prone to run when wet, so be aware of that if you intend to use these on an inkjet.)

The downloadable templates worked perfectly in Microsoft Word.

The labels are easy to pull off the back and adhere well to clothes, even tolerating about 2 or 3 changes in positions (after that they begin to curl).

So as far as name badge labels go, these Post-It Super Sticky Badges do everything well. You won''t go wrong purchasing these.

I thought these had a nice amount of stickiness (I don''t like them too sticky), but my wife said they are not sticky enough -she was concerned they would fall off.

Therefore, it really comes down to personal preference. If you like super-sticky name badges that won''t come off, then these might not be sticky enough for you (they seemed secure to me but not to my wife). If, however, you don''t like super-sticky name badges that try to pull the threads out of your clothes, then these are a good match.

I have used name badges that constantly fell off, and these seem more secure than those.

My only complaint would be the price tag, which seems a bit high.

Note that these badges are plain (no "Hello, my name is..."), so you can put whatever message you like on them.
