Wausau Exact 110 (49591)

Wausau Exact 110 , Index Cardstock, 250 Count, Pastel Gray, 8.5 X 11 Inches

  • Inkjet and laser guaranteed
  • Perfect for brochures, covers, tabs, file folders and business forms
  • Has a uniform, smooth surface that enhances ink holdout and printability

The cardstock is a VERY light gray, and is a medium thickness between a heavy cardstock and paper. Probably a little thin for invitations but that is what I am going to use mine for anyway because it is so inexpensive and great quality. SUPER fast shipping, I received it only a day or two after ordering. I couldn''t be more thrilled with the service and packaging along with the product. Well done.

Epson 820S Photo Inkjet Printer (Silver)

Epson 820S Photo Inkjet Printer
  • Up to 2,880 x 720 dpi resolution
  • Uses 6-color quick-drying inks for smudge-free results
  • Supports border-free printing on letter-size paper
  • Prints up to 12 pages per minute in black, or a 4 x 6 inch photo in 48 seconds
  • Parallel and USB interfaces; PC and Mac compatible

I haven''t done alot of printing even tho I bought this back at the beginning of the year. Recently bought an Olympus 3020 and printed some "1st day of school" pictures. I use Epson photo quality inkjet paper to do a first print test (720 dpi), then print final on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper (1440 dpi). If I put the "test" pics in a frame, no one would know that they were not printed at a lab. The glossy''s (8x10s and 5x7s) fool everyone I show if I didn''t tell them it was on my printer, they''d never know (of course the camera helps too). Haven''t seen a need to use the 2880 dpt yet.

Mine came with software Film Factory which is semi-easy to learn but easy to use after that. Even tho a full sheet of paper could hold 2 5x7s or 4 4x6s, the s/w won''t let me lay the print out that way. I get 2 5x7s by printing one at very top, then turn paper upside down and print again (after 1st print is dry).

If it''s not used often, the heads can become clogged. Does go through ink, so I always have replacement ready (color mostly have yet to replace the BW). I only use for photo printing. Have another for text so cannot say how it does there.

Using the USB port and can''t really say I''ve ever timed a print. I usually go and do something else while I wait I had a print freeze after 2/3 done when I went to do something else on the PC at the same time, so now I just leave it alone (system is W2k, AMD XP 1800, 512 DDR memory so the system is not anemic).

Had a few problems trying to get the USB driver set up and recognizing the printer, but after a few attempts at loading the drivers it all came together. Even w/these few problems, it deserves a 5.

I have always been partial to Canon and Lexmark printers, but the Epson Stylus 820s blew my mind away. Never had i had the ease of setting up a printer in seconds (i am not kidding...i really mean less than a minute). It has both parallel and USB connectivity, fantastic color print even on normal paper. And get this, the contents of the package include some photo glossy paper. Aside from the fact that it looks cool, it is not noisy like other printers i have used. It also spits out text documents in little or no time. The printer boasts of a feature called Print Imaging Matching (P.I.M), which greatly enhances printouts of digital pictures in outstanding quality..up tp 2800 x 720 dpi. But enough said, i could go on and on and bore people....if you are scouting around for an affordable color ink jet printer but desire just as much quality, look no further than the Epson Stylus 820s. For [the price] it is definitely the deal of the millenium.

This printer is good but slow. Good things come to those who wait though. You can hardly see the dots compared to HP, I won''t even dare compare lexmark''s ... output. HPs I''ve used also has banding which is very noticeable. I always get a "WOW" from people on glossy paper from non Epson photo users. 6 color inks do make a difference because even Epson users with 4 color printers notice the difference. ... The epson 820 prints only last for 1 year at best if displayed and not laminated. If I hang them on a door that is exposed to florescent light 24x7 it fades fast. When I keep them in one of those folders for pictures in good tempurature and conditions they look just as good, even 3 years from now.

Having a Epson Stylus Color, Photo 780 and now the Photo 820, I can tell you that this is the slowest of them all. (using the same G4 Titanium Powerbook. Printing out photo quality may make you wonder if it is even on...don''t cancel the job thinking it crashed the first time you use it like I did. That said, the print quality is respectable and the price is great (free if you buy a system). See Consumer Reports latest issue...up to 12 minutes for a photo quality sheet!

Epson thought their unique print head design would set their products apart, allowing superior quality prints. Instead, it''s their printers'' Achilles heel: because the print heads are not part of the ink cartridge, you can''t just switch cartridges to fix a messed-up print head, and there''s no way to get at the heads to clean them manually. With Epson printers, when your heads are badly clogged, there''s not much you can do except bring it to a repair shop. Maybe not even that.

This printer has had chronic problems with clogging, constantly showing stripes of missing color. The heads have needed to be cleaned almost every time I''ve printed anything, and I''ve spent at least 1/3 of each (expensive) ink cartridge just cleaning the heads, that process uses amazing amounts of ink. This week, the heads seem to be permanently gunked shut. I hadn''t printed anything in color in about 5 weeks, and each of the five colors is now either stripey or completely blocked, no matter how many times I run the "clean" routine.

Another stupid design choice: when just one of the 5 colors of ink runs out, you have to replace ALL FIVE. That''s ridiculous. Unless you''re Epson and want to make a killing on ink sales, that is.

Save yourself a lot of trouble, and avoid poorly designed printers -like this one.

Canon Laser imageCLASS MF4890dw Wireless Monochrome Printer Save 66% off

Canon Laser imageCLASS MF4890dw Wireless Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax
  • Print and Copy at the same speed up to 26ppm
  • Duplex Versatility - print, copy, scan, and fax two-sided documents
  • Wireless Connectivity - print form almost anywhere in your home or office
  • Single touch Quiet Mode reduces operational noise

I have had this printer for about a month and really really like it. I bought it to replace a Brother (click on my name to read my review on that one). Although my previous multi-function device worked well, this Canon has the following improvements: Scans in duplex, has an ID-card photocopy function that I love, and MOST OF ALL IT IS QUIET. I do not use the fax feature. I have a PC with windows 7 and I was able to install it easily. It connected to the wireless network very very easily, which was a big plus. My previous printer was also wireless BUT it required a hard-wire connection to the router with an ethernet cable as part of the initial installation process. With this canon, I was able to connect to the network wirelessly, type in the Wi-Fi password directly on the printer, and didn''t have to use any cables. Marvelous! I did compare the printing side-by-side with my brother, and unfortunately I think this Canon is a little bit worse. However, for my purposes it is fine. The Brother was so loud and the fan would run for 10 minutes after every print job. This Canon is super quiet, and even has a quiet feature which I haven''t even had to use yet. I anticipate being very happy with this printer for a long time. Five stars!

A very high quality full featured laser printer (Canon), now at a bargain price. Very impressed with this printer. It is full featured enough for a small business, yet compact enough for home use. It arrived well packaged with good shipping protection, and set up very easy. It runs quietly, and remains in "stand-by" very low power mode when "off". It receives wireless signals well, and prints with good speed. Software included is user friendly, and it scans very well. Documentation included is also high quality. Very high quality laser printing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I got this printer at local store, Setup was easy, took 15 minutes to unwrap the packaging and it was up and running, I use Macs in my setup, printer is hard wired to my apple time capsule router( I am not planning to use its wireless capability as this printer is located next to my router but if I need an open Ethernet port on my router I might use it), there are three drivers for Mac OS X Mountain Lion Fax/scan/print downloaded from Canon web site they were installed on all Macs (5 minutes to install). I can confirm that this unit is mac compatible, I have not used all the functions fully yet, nor can say how the windows version of software works; I can access printer and scan functionalities via my software in Mac.

I like automatic duplex printing feature, no paper jams, it will save lot money on paper also, print quality is very good both copies and in printing from pc, scanning was no problem either, I am not sure how the scan to PC buttons (1,2 on machine) works since there is not software for Mac. Overall very smooth operation. Setting up fax was very easy entering Fax number information and what kind of mode the machine will be used, I will try to do some fax testing in few days. Overall the fit and finish of machine looks good, does not feel cheap plastic. Machine is very quiet goes into sleep mode when not in use. For $230 it is very good machine to do all functions.

Now the toner, it is around $80 which is very close to price Brother toner I was using, much cheaper than Samsung toner cartridge though. I am sure there will be cheaper alternative for this machine too, I was buying toner powder for my brother machine for last few years it was very cheap ($10) and it last long time. I recommend this machine.

update: 10/26/12

Scan function does not work with mac drivers, this is bummer, canon has to blame to put mac logo on their product and it does not work. print function work fine, i have other scanner on hp printer so not an issue for me but for many people it would be an issue. i have to reduce it to 3 star (from 5 stars) until canon fixes drivers for macs. I have also tested the wireless function of the printer, it works fine. scan function stil an issue on wireless network also, i am surprised canon has not addressed the mac driver issue as there are many users of macs now.

At this price point, I couldn''t ask for much more. I had some issues connecting it with CAT5e, but the wireless connection was seamless. I did not try installing with the USB, so i have no comment about that. I spent a few hours messing around with it to learn all the functionality and basic limitations, but the typical user could have this machine up and running in about half hour or less. The instructions that came with the printer were very clear, in my opinion. They double up on the toner installation instructions, which has the end user double checking themselves, but i feel that they wanted to drive the point home about the importance of installing the toner cartridge correctly and removing the packing material. I have no problem with this.

All of the functions on the printer work on all of my remote computers. Overall, I''m happy with this unit.

Pros: Unit is simple to to install wirelessly if you have a router with auto-connect capability, copies and prints good quality for home use. Drivers are easy to install and quick.

Cons: The duplex unit for copying and printing (2 sided) is on the slow side. Printer had issues with connecting a hard-line from the printer to the router. This is likely due to the nature of my setup (dynamic IP). If your set up with a static IP, you''ll likely not have any issues. Since I had the wireless router, I opted to take the path of least resistance. Fax is a little finicky. There are settings that describe an "auto" feature. The Auto feature is supposed to distinguish between a voice call and a data call. Unfortunately when I answered voice calls, the fax machine answers as well (screeching fax beeps). For me this is not a big issue as I know when faxes are coming, so I can simply unplug the fax line until i know when a fax is rolling in. Color scanning is on the grainy side, but is ok for non-professional use. If your looking to scan pictures in high quality, this may not be the right machine for you. Since I have not messed around with the scanner much, there may be higher res settings that I overlooked that will produce better image scan quality.

Again, most of my cons are not real bad. There are easy work-arounds for the issues that I encountered. I mainly wanted something that printed and copied on 2 sides, and to have a reliable printer for basic home use. This MFP appears to fit the bill for me.

My primary use for this machine will be in my home. I print less than 100 sheets per month, half dozen faxes per year, copy/scan 20-30 pg''s per month.

I rated this at 4 stars only because of the minor issues I had, but could have easily given it a 5 star as well. Overall, I''m happy with the Canon ImageClass MF4890dw. For home /small business use, this is a good machine at this price.

Terrific printer. I love that it uses Toner since this is more cost-efficient for me. We are using a brand new HP workforce in one office and this in a bedroom and it is lightening fast and super easy to use. This printer set up within 5 minutes and we had no issues connecting the wireless functions to our computers. It was literally one of the easiest setups for a printer I have ever done.

The print quality is great but I am only comparing it alongside my HP. Side by side comparisons look pretty even. I would give this the win though since it prints in a matter of seconds whereas my HP takes a tiny bit longer to spit the end result out. That''s the best part of having a laser printer! SUPER FAST PRINTING!!!

This printer is also incredibly quiet! It''s barely noticeable when printing compared to the HP. Doesn''t seem to chug or whine as much. It''s an airy, breezy noise and it doesn''t linger. Love that! It seems very energy efficient as well which is great.

Overall, well worth the money!!!

This paper is absolutely amazing. Definitely holds up in any weather conditions. Only downfall is the shipping costs as much as the paper. It will last me a while, though, which is a plus!!

Lexmark Z23 Color Printer

Lexmark Z23 Color Printer
  • Color thermal ink-jet printer
  • 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution for both black and color prints
  • Up to 8 ppm color and 5 ppm black
  • USB connectivity
  • For both PC and Mac, using a wide range of operating systems

There is a reason why this printer is an added "perk" given to those who are buying an entire computer. Issues dealt with below:

Installation Uncharacteristically clumsy this time around. Perhaps I had a semi-defective CD installation disc but all sorts of installation issues arose.

Alignment process Again, uncharacteristically clumsy. Your "choices" for the best "alignment of the printer cartridges" all basically looked the same (read poor quality).

Cartridge installation Easier installation than previous generations of the Lexmark printer.

Cartridge ink Ink is used up in the cartridge at an alarming rate. If one is a moderate user of the printer then the amount of replacement ink cartridges required would make this printer especially not cost effective.

Sheet feeder With a new unit I had more uneven sheet pulls than should be expected. I also had a couple of mangled pages.

My recommendation is that one should avoid this printer especially is if one expects to do moderate to high volume printing.

This is a decent low-end inkjet printer. Be warned though, Lexmark does not include the cable to connect this to your USB port. You''ll need a USB-A to USB-B cable to connect. Also, while the printer comes with a color cartridge, you''ll need to add the black cartridge to make your blacks black. Also, you''ll go through a lot less ink with the second cartridge in place. Other than that, it has proven to be worth everything I didn''t pay for it.

I bought mine for my office at the beginning of the year, in a fit of desperation to get a printer, any printer, as long as it would print something on that day. Living in a small town, my choices were fairly limited. By the time I bought my USB cable and the color printer cartridge, then drove to another store looking for the black ink cartridge, I felt like I hadn''t saved much money.

For plain old black printing, it''s not bad, and the per-page printing rate for normal or draft quality hasn''t bothered me. Eventually, I figure it will make a decent emergency backup printer. My biggest complaint is the astounding rate at which I go through cartridges--... "Reconditioned" cartridges cost less but don''t last as long. Refill kits are messy and run out even more quickly.

Complicating the cartridge situation is the difficulty of finding the black cartridges. You would think that the store where I bought the printer would carry them. Wrong! Neither office supply store that I regularly use carries them either. (Amazon has delivered quite promptly when I''ve ordered here.)

I do appreciate the ink level reminder that pops up every time that I print. Given the speed with which the ink runs out and the difficulty getting a new cartridge the same day, the advance warning is helpful. The cartridges also are quite easy to change. Having to print a new "alignment" sheet and attempt to make adjustments frequently proves a tedious interruption.

Since I wasn''t specifically shopping for a color printer, the ability to print in color was a bonus. Printing good-quality pictures takes quite a while, and the quality isn''t that great. I have noticed that despite the ink-level indicator suggesting that I have plenty of ink, if one color is low, the warning doesn''t let me know. For the most part, I''ve been satisfied with the color printing quality because it suits my purposes: a color-highlighted word or two in handouts that I give to clients and printing photographs of Victorian dresses for my living history research.

The Lexmark''s interface with a specialized software that I use for my business has been frustrating. Despite fiddling with alignment and calling tech support, the Lexmark Z23 continues to cut off the "tails" of certain letters when I print single-spaced Courier. Despite selecting the "print last page first" option, which works just fine in my Word documents, my specialized software continues to print "first page first"--which results in my having to handsort lengthy packets. This same software has never proven difficult with other printers that I have used.

If I could just save some money from the cost of cartridges, perhaps I could afford to buy a real printer!

Want Lexmark Z23 Color Printer Discount?

I''ve owned this printer for about 1 1/2 years now. The bottom line is that it is expensive junk. The replacement ink cartridges will cost you more than the printer itself, with each running over $30. Unlike other brands, all three colors are in one tank, so if one color runs out you have to spend $30. The cartridges themselves work well for the first couple of printings, then begin to look poorer and poorer, until they finally die an early death.

The software that comes with the printer is useless as well. It allegedly monitors ink levels, but it does not. Running the trouble shooter to align the print heads also does nothing.

All-in-all, I''m going back to Cannon.

The only good thing about the printer is the initial price. Don''t get too happy, cause you will open your bank account for the ink. When you open the box you will find the need for the black ink. After printing a few pages get ready to shell out more money to replce the ink, as this printer goes through it fast. For the amount of inkl it uses the print quality isn''t that great. If you let it sit for a week without use be prepared for the streaking; that doesn''t go away. This was the first Lexmark I owned and I should say it will be the last.
