All of our PC''s are very new and run Windows 7 with MS Office 2010. I had the worst time getting the editing software to load and when it finally loaded it crashed. The Brother tech support kept referring me back to their web site for answers. They were absolutley no help at all. In the end I had to uninstall Office 2010 and load it after the Brother software. It was a shot in the dark but thank God that worked. If I could have sent it back I would have! The machine works fine but the software is what makes it work and it has issues.

Works well. I have it hooked in to our network and everyone can print to it through Terminal Services, as advertised. The software that comes with it is hoaky at best. Labels print, but in the ''snap mode'' where you can just copy and paste an address to get a quick label, I can''t figure out how to change the font/typeset on the labels. I wish it worked with some other choices for postage too. But for an address label printer, it''s just fine.

I bought the Canon imageCLASS MF3240 about a month ago, and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I''d definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a multifunction device without the need to print in color. If you prefer getting your digital photos printed by an online or in-store photo processor, a laser multifunction is usually the way to go -since it''s a lower cost per page, it''s faster, and the output is better quality than an inkjet.

APPEARANCE/CONSTRUCTION:

You can tell that it''s a sub-$200 machine by the construction. Don''t expect the same kind of solid feel that you''ll get from a much more expensive piece of equipment. A few of the plastic parts feel a little flimsy, like the paper tray. But they all seem to work fine, and I don''t have any concerns about durability. Unless you''re really tough on your office equipment, you should be ok.

The MF3240 isn''t the sexiest looking multifunction out there (if you''re looking for a great looking device, try the Canon PIXMA MP830, which uses inkjet technology so you can print in color too). In fact, it kind of looks like a cooler sitting on the desk. But the buttons are laid out logically on the keypad, and from the investigating I''ve done into a lot of different multifunction devices, the footprint on this one seems to be a reasonable size.

PERFORMANCE:

So far, so good. If you''re really a stickler for the highest output possible -if you need the most crisp, darkest text and flawless images -this probably isn''t the machine for you. Don''t get me wrong...the output is very good, borderline excellent. But you can tell that it wasn''t printed on a $1,000 heavy-duty laser printer.

This baby is fast! Total time for the first page to arrive in my hand after clicking the Print button (including warmup time) was 13 seconds. It''s considerably faster warming up than my old HP laser printer.

It''s not the quietest machine I''ve ever heard, but I wouldn''t call it too loud either.

It has a toner saver mode, but I''d call this an annoyance. You''re supposed to be able to set the toner saver either directly on the printer control panel or through the printer driver. I''ve tried a number of times to set up two profiles: one that uses toner saver and another that doesn''t. It works sometimes, but other times it''ll end up in the wrong mode. Even when I get it to work, I don''t notice much of a difference in output between toner saver mode and the regular mode.

I''ve also been having a minor problem with the fax. I have the MF3240 hooked up to my phone line, and a phone extension hooked into the fax machine. The fax machine is set in Manual mode, so it shouldn''t do anything unless I take action on my own. But I''ve had one or two phone calls on the extension that''s hooked up to the fax where the machine hangs up on the person I''m talking to after about 10 minutes! If I can''t get this problem to stop, I may end up getting a splitter for the phone line and hooking the phone extension into the line separately.

SOFTWARE:

It comes bundled with a light version of OCR software. I tried it once, and it seemed to recognize every single word on the page I scanned. I was quite impressed -much better than older versions of OCR I''ve tried (although I must admit this is the first OCR software I''ve tried in at least 6-7 years, so I''m sure the technology is much better now).

It also installs a piece of software called Canon Multifunction Toolbox 4.9. This is the most pleasant surprise I''ve experienced with this printer so far. It allows you to click one button, go through a couple simple settings, and then get a scan and go straight to an e-mail, or straight to a PDF, etc. The smartest feature is that it allows you to pick a target file size, and it''ll adjust the resolution to achieve that file size. So it eliminates trying to scan something and then finding out the resulting file is 20MB, then needing to go back and re-scan it at a lower resolution before you e-mail it. You simply pick your target file size (let''s say 1MB) and the software will scan your document at the proper resolution to achieve that file size. Very smart!

OVERALL:

Amazon has even knocked ten dollars off the price since I bought it...now it''s going for about one hundred fifty bucks...so it''s an even better value today. This is a very good multifunction device for light/moderate home or home office use. Given the chance to do it all over, I''d definitely buy the MF3240 again.

UPDATE 9/2010: The Canon Multifunction Toolbox software doesn''t work with Windows 7. It''s not a huge problem, since you can still use all the main functions of the machine. But you will lose a little functionality, such as the one-touch scanning capability.

Pros:

Inexpensive (I paid $155.99/free shipping here at Amazon which is amazing considering all the functions I get from this solid machine)

Good computer printing... it does what a b/w laser printer is supposed to: great on text and ok on graphics. It does a comparable job as my previous HP LJ1100 laser printer. Internal paper tray which holds 250 pages is an improvement over my HP.

Appropriate scanning result. Good for document archiving purpose. I tried to scan an old color photo and print it in another color inkjet printer. The result is beyond my expectation.

Copier does what it is supposed to. Pretty easy to operate and configure different settings.

Cons:

FAX function in general is a dispointment. First, if I connect the printer with my phone (i.e.,in-line or serial), the printer "wakes up" from idle mode whenever I pick up the phone. I have to use a splitter to avoid this nuisance. As a result, I pretty much need to set it to Manual mode for FAX. Also, as other people mentioned, there is no auto feeder for FAX. Fortunately I only use FAX occasionally.

A little too loud for my taste. I have seen many other models that are much quieter than this.

Bottom line:

If you are like myself who does not use FAX that frequently, you will love this unbelivable bargain. It does everything I used to get done at Kinko''s at $156!

This is a good product for its price. I have not found any deficiencies so far in the features this machine offers.

There are two major features (from my point of view) that this unit lucks:

automatic document feeder;

double-sided printing;

For those of you who would like to have those features, I strongly recommend to consider another model, like Canon MF4150 for example (which btw costs only $40 more). If I could turn back time, I would definitely go for the MF4150.

The parts feet flimsy, so I was little surprised when the printer stopped due to a recurring paper jam within 4 months of purchase.

Canon asked me to take it down to their authorized service center. I did as was told, but then was called back by their service center in a few days that ''they couldn''t repair the printer, and I should take it back!"

Upon calling Canon customer service again, they are now asking me to get the printer back from their (Canon) service center, and ship it to Canon. Ridiculous! Now I am supposed to provide courier service between Canon and its service centers? The printer is in warranty and lying at their service center!

The Canon MF3240 is a decent printer for the home user and small business users. I got my Canon MF3240 at a pretty low price so initially I was quite happy with it. When I received it, the look of the printer seemed old fashioned and not good looking at all. The printer is fairly large, but it is typical for most decent multifunction printers. The print quality for this laser printer is excellent and it prints quite fast. The usability of this product is good although some tweaking is needed here and there. I found the lack of a power button to be extremely annoying. The software was much better than my old Epson multifunction printer, but it still is a bit annoying here and there. I also could not find a way to stop printing when I had numerous sheets printing, except by unplugging the printer. It seems like that stop/reset button is nearly useless under normal circumstances. The scanner works great although it can be a bit slow to start. The manual multipurpose tray works good with envelopes. Printing double sided (duplex) is extremely annoying as when the odd pages are printed, the heat curls the paper. Even the slightest curl will cause a paper jam when it is loaded back in to print the even pages. This is a huge flaw that makes double sided (duplex) printing almost impossible. I absolutely cannot give the MF3240 anything more than 3 stars due to the amount of little quirks and the constant paper jamming for double sided (duplex) printing.

Edit: I know this has been mentioned in other reviews, but I have been experiencing this quite often. I like to use sheets that are not 8.5" x 11" and this causes a an error if the correct paper size is not selected. The only correct way to clear the error is to insert the correct sized sheet and this will waste toner. The incorrect way is to "unplug" the printer which probably will cause damage in the long run. This is another flaw with this printer model.

Not much to review. If you have the printer, and the printer tells you to replace the waste toner, you have to replace the waste toner bucket. You can go a long time after the printer starts telling you to replace the waste toner. But the printer will STOP when the waste toner is full. I tried to trick it by pulling it out and looking for a reset, but it must have some sensor for when it''s full. So our printer was out of commision for a few days.

So I was getting multicolored spots periodically down on side of page. The spots were in a regular pattern. Tried everything including replacing the toner and drum (it was past due anyway). Turns out the waster toner pack was jammed!! So it wasn''t full... just jammed on one side with a ton of toner stuck against the metal roller. I tried to unjam and made such a mess, I gave up. So if you have non-horizontal line problems or vertical streaks, shine a flashlight on your belt. If its got lots of toner on it, it might be that the waste toner foam roller isn''t wiping it off fully. Lift up the belt, and see if waste toner is jammed. I only printed 18k pages before this started happening. For only $22 it''s the cheapest part on my 4070cdw.

This printer is clearly designed for the office market or for a user who needs a solid color printer for business. Because of that, it is large, heavy, and the consumables are comparatively expensive when you look at a consumer-level inkjet. It includes postscript printing capability so you can print EPS files cleanly, though I believe it is interpolating and not true postscript since it seems to take longer to print postscript files. For business, especially if you need to do charts and graphs or print razor sharp text, this does a great job. I tested it out on several charts and graphs and they were all exceptionally sharp and showed fine detail in pie charts with textured wedges. The output is beautiful, crisp, bright and detailed. Photos that I printed showed fine detail on small images of faces and good color range. I printed a variety of photographs which included both close-up and distance shots of faces. Even the far away shots showed good detail on small faces. The sort of posterizing or loss of fine detail that you sometimes see in cheaper printers was not an issue. Still, this is not for creating professional prints for sale, but it does very nicely for general business and home use as well as proofing of art.

Prepping the printer is relatively easy. There are numbered picture-based instructions (no manual except one included on the CD) which walk you through how to remove the various tabs and protective bits of tape and how to prepare the toner cartridges. The toner drawer feels a little flimsy, but the printer already weighs 51 lbs. so I''m not sure added weight for a sturdier case would be worthwhile. It''s not as if one needs to be opening and closing it frequently, but caution when handling it may be warranted. If you catch it on something, it will likely chip, crack, or snap.

In regards to installation, I used this printer with two different versions of the Windows OS (XP and 7) and with Mac OS 10.5.8. On Windows XP and 7, it is a dream to install and use. You install the drivers from the included CD and it''s pretty much good to go with wireless printing right away. A print manager is also installed so that you can change preferences or track toner use/replacement. Samsung clearly did a good job prepping this for Windows.

On the Mac side, things did not go so smoothly and that''s why I knocked a star off of the rating. While I could use this with my Mac, I could only do so using a USB cable. I could not get the wireless connection to work no matter what I did. I should note that this may be my version of the Mac OS (10.5.8 is an older version) and that I have the same problem with a Canon inkjet wireless all-in-one that I sometimes use and had a similar problem with an HP all-in-one that I temporarily used. I can print, but only when hard-wired with a USB cable, and it''s also important to note that this Samsung printer does not come with said cable in the box. This is somewhat annoying since, even if you can get the wireless to work on your Mac, you are required as part of the installation to temporarily connect via USB (this is not the case on Windows). If you''ve got a Mac, you might want to make sure you have one on hand or purchase one concurrent with the printer.

The cartridges will print between 1500-2000 pages depending on the amount of color/text used for the pages. While the replacement cartridges from Samsung are expensive, you can get lower priced ones from a third party for as little as $80, though I imagine using them may violate the warranty. While even $80 per toner cartridge seems pricey, you can replace them selectively (there are separate cyan, magenta, yellow, and black cartridges). If you''re considering a laser printer like this which is expensive or an inkjet which is cheap, it''s important to consider how often you print. An inkjet''s cartridges will dry out if not used regularly and will not print nearly as many pages as a toner cartridge. My rough calculation is that this will cost you 5 cents per page and that compares well to color inkjets which will cost between 3 and 9 cents per page depending on your printer (Kodak models are about 3 cents, some Canon and HP models are 9 cents). Of course, this hardware costs 3-4 times that of an inkjet, but the quality is at least that order of magnitude better. It really depends on your priorities and how great your need for a higher quality output.

The paper feed on this is very smooth and I printed only on standard photocopy paper with excellent results. It has an adjustable feed tray, but I only tested it with letter-size prints. The manual does say that it supports a wide variety of paper sizes and weights though.

All in all, this is a very nice printer with lovely output at a price point which is competitive, but not the lowest price. It''s hard to directly compare as there are cheaper, smaller models which are all-in-one but are not designed to be such workhorses. Cheaper color laser printers tend to be slower, for instance. Depending on your needs, this may be a very good option, particularly if you are a Windows user.

I received a defective printer (print dropouts). Samsung was unable to repair and refused to replace it.

Over the course of a month, I placed numerous calls to Samsung, spoke with over a dozen different people in Customer Support, Technical Support, "Executive" Customer Support (which should be called the "''No'' Department" because all they ever said was "no"), "ServRight" (which should be called "ServNot" because they never did show up to fix the printer), and someone from the "Office of the CEO". All I ever got was runaround, refusals, broken promises, and unreturned calls. Multiple times, I was told that I''d have to go purchase replacement parts myself. I was promised "we''ll call you back within one hour" four times and never received a return call. Three times they assured me that a service tech would call the next day and he never did. When I reached the end of the return period and the printer still had not been repaired, I requested a replacement and was refused. I asked the "executive customer support" representative flat out if Samsung would honor the warranty and he said "no".

So I returned the pinter for a refund. I originally planned to get a replacement, but after the last Samsung service person was downright rude to me, I decided not to do business with Samsung again.

Everybody makes mistakes from time to time the test of a good company is how they deal with them. Samsung failed horribly. Had they fixed the printer, I''d have been happy. Instead, I received worst customer service experience of my life.

I won''t buy any more Samsung products and I strongly urge others to avoid Samsung as well.

I was very unhappy with this printer for several reasons. First, after printing approximately 300 pages continuously, the printer would stop for about a a minute, then resume printing at incredibly SLOW speeds (maybe 10 ppm). The printer would not return to the advertised speed of 25ppm until the printer had sat unused for at least an hour. Since I bought this printer for high volume jobs, this was a MAJOR inconvenience.

I was also very unhappy with how quickly the cartridges wore out. Before I was even prompted to replace the cartridge, they began leaving streaks along the sides of the pages. I tried cleaning out the cartridge and emptying the excess toner container, but that only helped for 50 or so pages, and then the streaking continued.

Because I have been happy with Samsung printers in the past, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, and purchased another of these printers, hoping the problems were just an anomaly and that I had bought a faulty printer. No such luck. The second printer did the exact same thing.

I suppose this printer would work if you only need it for occasional printing (and never for more than a couple hundred pages at a time). Otherwise, don''t waste your money.

I''m an experienced photographer, and take lots of photos. The problem, according to my wife, is that I don''t print enough of them, especially the ones SHE likes.

So I decided to buy her a small 4x6 photo printer. She doesn''t want to learn Photoshop or anything like that. She just wants to press a button and get a photo.

On the whole, I''m pleased with the printer. The 4x6 photos come out with beautiful resolution and color. I compared some to ones I printed with my full-size Epson Photo 785EPX after a bit of adjustment with Photoshop, and thought the HP did a bang-up job. My wife just plugs the memory card into the printer and starts printing. There''s no need to connect to the computer.

Furthermore, I found that it will print equally well on cheaper photo paper. I tried Kirkland (from Costco) and a box of Kodak paper that would not print well on my Epson printer.

On the downside: there are serious software issues, at least with our unit. It periodically freezes, and the only way to resume is with a hard reboot... basically unplugging it and starting from scratch. That''s no fun when you''re dealing with a 512 MB memory card. And lately, for no reason, after printing a photo, it asks whether we want to "deselect all photos." At no point, had we "selected" any photos except the one we were printing.

I explained the problems to HP via their "online tech support chat" which took forever to even load (using ActiveX). The only response before they ended the session was: "I understand." They even emailed me a transcript of the entire chat, which showed that they ended the session, it wasn''t a glitch or online problem.

I then emailed info about the problems to their tech support folks via their "email us" option, and received a message that was filled with unusual sentence structures and bad grammar, leading me to believe it was either written by a robot or someone in a foreign country. Basically their response was to unplug the printer and reboot.

I find this to be an unsatisfactory way of dealing with what appears to be a software bug.

The cost per print, using HP supplies, is fairly steep. A box containing 125 sheets of 4x6 paper, and an ink cartridge costs about $45. I calculate that as 36-cents per print. The Epson is the only personal photo printer to advertise its price per print, claiming 29-cents. Again, I plan to use Kirkland photo paper to reduce our costs.

Bottom line: the photos look great, but they''re expensive and there are irritating problems with the printer''s software.

A really superb printer. It makes the most beautiful prints I have ever seen, its fast, very easy to use and nice looking.

I had purchased the new Olymus Verve, could not get good prints on my HP 1350, was driving me a bit nuts.

Prints were poor.

Got the HP yesterday, and started printing from the Olympus Verve XD card, wow, is all I can say now, fabulous results.

The features on it are great and sooo easy to use.

Great job by HP, the best I have ever seen, had previously gotten a Sony dye sublimation printer which was not so good, this HP is the king of hill

I ordered this from amazon. Recieveing the printer, it looked like the item was packed by a family of gorillias. There was no air packs in the box. What was amazon thinking? It clearly went into the box alright the only thing that saved the box was the strofoam inserts HP put in. The printer itself is mint. Do not listen to the negative reports what I like best it is not dependant on my computer or it''s software to run. You simply put in the card from your camera, scroll through your photos, enhance it if you wish, put a frame on it if you wish, crop, many tools built into the machince. It does print in 60 seconds. You can put 4 photos in the space of a 4 x 6 photo with or wothout frames. Beautiful prints! Do not be decieved into thinking there is room for more than one cartridge. It is either color photos or black and white photos or sephia which is an old fashioned finish. I ordered the internal battery and bag from Hp since it is not available on amazon. I am looking forward to the portability of the machince. Good value, although costco had it cheaper by $20.00, outside of that I am quite pleased.

my canon 510 got glowing reviews just about across the board, but not this printer. i have very little space, and needed something small just for photos. so, even though there were many negative reviews i went ahead and bought it. couldn''t be happier! colour fabulous! and when you print on stock paper you can use photo to do some extra artwork on. I LOVE IT.

When it works the pictures, transfers and post cards we''ve produced look great!

The problem is: you just don''t know when it''s NOT going to look great. You *must* baby-sit the printer, and about half way through each print (when you can actually see a portion of the image) decide if the printer is function correctly.

To get two transfers (at a each, just for the paper) we''ve had to print four times... wasting paper. 1st try: good. 2nd: oops clean the heads (uses ink). 3rd: oops, clean the head. 4th: great! Tah-dah!

Post cards: same thing. Several great Xmas cards in a row, then wham! Bad one. Clean the heads. Several good, and another bad.

If you like babysitting, don''t mind wasting money every now and then, enjoy listening to the printer cleaning the heads and printing test sheets, this printer is for you!

Love the instructions that come with Epson''s transfer paper, too. "Place the printable side up," it says. Uh, could you be a little less specific? There''s two sides, and this is my first time using the paper. Is that the smooth side, or the rough side?

"Choose ''Flip Image'' in the driver." Uh, AIN''T no flippin'' "Flip Image" option anywhere I can find!

On the plus-side: the printer has a small footprint so it doesn''t take a lot of room on your desk. Ink cartridges are easy to replace.

On the negative side: any paper thicker than your normal printer paper requires you be present to hand-feed each sheet. Post cards, business cards, etc will feed multiple sheets and jam the printer. Another "Engineering" marvel.

Yeah, but when it works... nice pictures are assured! When I win the lottery, I''ll try a different brand, and let you know how they compare.

I would feel better about my opinion if I could compare a full size pic from this printer to the much more expensive 960. With that said, I love this printer. Really, this is a machine with split personalities (as are many of the photo printers out there today).

First, it is a printer attached to and used by your computer. There are a huge number of options once you hit the print button. So many, in fact, that it is easy to mess up the quality and/or colors in your print. But if you are patient, the results from this printer are amazing. Using premium glossy photo paper, I am amazed at how much the vibrant images seem to leap from the print. Really a stark contrast to the dull flat images of yesterday''s inkjets. Print speed is okay, nothing wonderful. And, of course, don''t use this printer to do regular docs. The quality is fine, but you''re better off with one of the cheap (but fast and high quality) lasers out there, many about 100 clams.

Second, this is an independent digital camera printer. It has built in slots for compactflash, memory stick, and mmc. This is a great contrast to those printers with just a pc card reader (then yoiu have to purchase the appriate adaptor for you camera). I might add that the printer serves as an all purpose memory card reader exceptionally well. Any card you put in appears as a removebale drive on your XP computer.

I must say, the use of this printer independently is very limited right out of the box. That is becasue it lacks a preview monitor. Forget about being able to print the right picture from many on a memory card impossible unless you waste time and ink and paper on an index page. Also, the fancy features for cropping, resizing, rotating, etc are worthless absent the monitor. Since the monitor must be purchased separately at a third of the cost of the printer itself (for a tiny, tiny monitor), this is problematic. While HP photo printers are more expensive, they generally have built-in monitors, making the price more even w/ this one. But, the good news is that I just ordered a monitor for an older epson photo printer of ... very, very cheap. I called Epson, which told me that the monitor will work fine, it is just white instead of black.

Finally, I want to address the paper roller. Included is a roll of premium photo paper on a 4" wide roll. This is a GREAT idea. Since this printer can print all the way to the edges, you can produce high volume 4X6 prints easily. The printer will print them onto the roll paper and automatically cut them as it prints!! The result are prints that make my account with on-line digital photo processors obsolete. The only complaint is that the prints curl pretty substantially since they are on a roll.

In sum, a great printer. Sturdier construction than Epson has produced in the past, exceptional quality prints. The status screen is hard to read if the printer is on a tall surface. The paper is actually kind of difficult to load correctly. The lack of a preview monitor (and its supplemental expense) makes many of the features unusable. But these are really just technical points. At the price this printer is going for, it is a must have for amateur photographers.

I just bought this two days ago. I was switching from a Canon S800. I was extremely impressed with the pictures that were coming out. Much better than on my old Canon. Setup was a cinch. The best part is the true borderless prints. The 4x6''s I printed look like they came from a photo developer. In fact, they''re probably better looking than any one-hour photo I''ve used. And the pictures look great on matte or glossy. The epson paper is also cheaper than the Canon paper. I only wish Epson made precut 5x7 paper!

I haven''t determined if it really is an ink hog, but for the quality, it''s worth it. And I don''t think the tanks are that expensive. A full set of the Canon''s used to run me ~[$$], but these are under [$$] (color, don''t really need black all that much). The printer is really really slow, though. Probably the biggest drawback for me.

I haven''t played with the features on the display. I''ve been printing from the computer.

The best part has been that I had a paper jam that I caused, and couldn''t fix. I called tech support, and they agreed to send me a new printer right away. I will send mine back after I get the new one, which should be 2-3 days. No hassling, or anything.

I''ve been converted to an Epson user.

I agree with the other reviews here in that this printer produces amazing photos. But if you''re planning on using this in your home office, read on...

When used as a day-to-day printer for documents this is the worst printer I''ve ever had. Paper jams occur EVERY SINGLE TIME I print multiple page documents. The paper feed mechanism is the worst I''ve encountered, scarring some pages with it''s grippers. I''ve tried all kinds of papers, various numbers of pages in the feeder, all to no avail.

Ink is another problem. The heads clog once a day, producing a page with about 20% ink coverage. I''ve tried name brand and generic ink cartidges, and it doesn''t seem to matter. To fix it, I have to perform a head cleaning about 3-4 times in a row to get back to decent ink coverage.

So DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER if you are looking for a workhorse. It''s the most-unreliable printer (I can''t leave the room while I print because I know I''ll have to clear a jam) I''ve had the misfortune of owning.

this is a very functional quality printer product.

it is the 2nd of the "MG" canon printer family i have owned.

print quality is very good.

one annoying "feature" however is that often for no apparent reason the printer will go thru some sort of electronic/mechanical cycling /recycling process that begins when you hit the print button on the computer to print most anything. This unknown process can sometimes take several minutes to complete and THEN whatever you indicated to be printed will then actually print.

the one most annoying ripoff "feature" is that the printer does not come with a USB cable. Excuse me canon but this is not a wifi capable printer so how dare you sell this printer and then on receiving it we read on the side of the box "does not contain a USB cable".?!

When it comes to photo printing, paper is everything. To bring out the best photo capabilities in a printer, the right paper is needed.

HP Premium Plus is a very thick and heavyweight photo paper. The photos come out beautifully without smudging and smearing. There is a coating on the backside of the paper that HP touts would prevent photos from sticking, which is always a concern of mine. So far, we''ve stacked some photos and haven''t any problems with sticking. The photos do feel a little tacky, which they always seem to feel regardless of photo paper used. I do think it''s less sticky than I''ve sometimes experienced with other photo papers.

The tab feature makes it easy to have a place to hold and label photos. It doesn''t tear cleanly enough for my tastes, but perforated tabs never do. I just cut with my paper cutter.

This is a nice quality paper. I will buy it again in the future.

UPDATE: I brought out the photos to show my mother-in-law how nicely the photos print out of a printer with the right kind of paper. My one caveat to her was that I could never find photo paper that isn''t tacky when printed on. Sometimes, the photos even stick together when placed in a pile. I just never touch the surface where the picture is because I don''t like the sensation. Well, was I surprised that the photos were not sticky at all. They felt like regular photos printed at the store. Whoa! That is a first. I just needed to let them dry completely. I thought they were dry before, but apparently not. Other photo papers really stay tacky forever, as I have tried touching them days later. This is the best. I''ll be buying it from now on.

Oh, and my mother-in-law showed me photos she printed out on her photo paper and there is a huge difference. The photos on HP photo paper look like real photos from the store, no pixelation at all.

UPDATE: I thought what I had was good, but I am getting even more stunning results from my Epson WorkForce 630 Color Inkjet All-in-One (C11CB07201) (my previous one was a Brother MFC-420CN Color Inkjet Network Multifunction). The details pop. I absolutely cannot tell this photo from the ones Snapfish sends me. Actually, I think these are better! Ink dries so quickly, it''s touchable straight from the printer. If you are not getting good results, try a different printer. After seeing what an excellent printer can do with this paper, I am raising my review to five stars.

Good product at a reasonable price. The paper is dated 2003 but should work OK. I did notice that it did not have the arrows on the back like newer ones do to help in loading the paper correctly into the paper tray. This is important as the paper does have tabs on one end. Just remember that the tabless end feeds first. The first couple of prints I got it backwards.

The photos looks great no, GREAT, but they''re tacky/sticky. I''ve been reading widely on the web and I''m not sure if that''s a fuction of the printer that I''m using or the paper.

I use a CHEAP HP Deskjet 3940 with this paper so I really shouldn''t complain.

I read somewhere that if HP uses different ink technology then the photos would be waterproof and would dry faster.

So all that to say that the paper is heavy and feels good in the hand. The appearance of the photos even from an "inferior" printer are FANTASTIC. But the sticky, slow-to-dry photos? I don''t know if that''s really the paper''s fault!
