I have a Canon MF 5550 which is great except that it is hard to use it sheet feed anything other than standard paper (e.g. envelopes) and was not Windows 7 compatible. What I really needed was a double-sided printer that could also print envelopes and card stock and that would be Window 7 compatible. This printer really fits the bill and is fairly quick. It also goes into sleep mode to save electricity. There are three sizes of toner cartridge to allow you to match them to your cost and consumption needs. Mine came with two paper trays which hold 250 sheets each and a multi purpose tray for your envelopes and other manual sheet feeding needs (label sheets, cardstock, etc.) I load one tray up with "good" paper, one tray with draft paper and I''m good to go. Toner capacity is much larger than my Canon so I expect I won''t have to change it as much--so far I am still using the original toner cartridge that came with it.

Reviews I read said the print quaility of the Lexmark E462DTN was not very good for high resolution printing but I found it fine for general office work. I had looked into a color lazer printer but found the cost of toner was very expensive. Found it better to get the best tool for each job. The Lexmark is my main office printer; I use a cheaper color inkjet printer with duplex printing for photos and color documents. This combination seems to work for my needs.

The Lexmark footprint is same size as my multifunction so I had to move the Canon multifunction to another room but I still have the capacity to make photocopies, scans and send and receive faxes. I bought some metal shelving from the hardware store to stack the Lexmark over the color inkjet printer to minimize space.

I have a home office and am not very tech savvy but the printer was fairly easy to set up and have it working with Windows 7 and XP. I printed out the fairly thick operating manual and have it nearby; it is easy to follow and figure things out. There is a door on the side of the Lexmark where you can add memory, I think. Not that I will ever use it but there seem to be a lot more options on this higher end printer than my old Canon multifunction.

I am very happy with this printer.

This is my third Brother and probably around my 22nd. printer overall (of all brands). The first Brother I had was a consumer grade and felt relatively cheap (lots of light grade plastic). It didn''t last long and inks were harder to find. Due to this experience, it took years before getting a Brother again. I got a Brother MFC-6490 a couple of years ago mainly for the 11" X 17" printing and it was okay. Color was a little dull compared to my other printers but it worked and still works. Generally, I''ve had great experiences with HP printers, but the last one I got (HP Officejet 8500 Pro) was junk and we had a lot of jamming from day one (though the print quality was color laser good and the ink costs were cheap). It finally died after only about a year''s use so I decided to try this Brother MFC-J5910DW. So far, it works great. Doesn''t vibrate a lot like the HP did and thus doesn''t seem to jam like the HP did. The color is better than my older MFC and the touch screen easier to navigate the control settings. Standard color is a little muted compared to the standard setting of the HP (which is okay for me) btu the colors are more saturated if you select the Vibrant setting when printing. Fax, scan & copy works as advertised and the print costs appear to be cheaper than the previous model as they now have "super" high capacity ink cartridges. I will say though that although my previous Brother had very cheap printing costs "on paper", I found the "advertised" print yields to be somewhat overstated. Build quality seems good and sturdier than most home printers (I think they classify this as a "Professional Series"). The inks for these aren''t as readily available as HP inks but Amazon has the best pricing anyways. I have not had good luck with third party inks or refills so I will never go that route again and have no reviews for the cheaper aftermarket inks. Overall, I think this is a pretty good printer for the money and the ink costs are very reasonable (costs per page-wise). Duplex printing & 11" X 17" printing is a bonus.

Edit: March 5, 2012. Starter cartridges are STARTER Cartridges! They are not even the full standard cartridges (even though the label appears to be so). I was out of ink within a week (had I known this, I would have ordered extra inks in advance). I had to go through a few cleanings (even though this printer is new) and that contributes to using more ink. Print quality is okay, but not to today''s best inkjet standards (HP 8500''s and up have a much better print quality almost laser quality; this printer is not close to laser quality). It is serving our purpose so far and vibrates less and jams less than the HP 8500 we replaced. It is what it is a great $150.00 11 X 17 printer.

Before I ordered this printer I must admit that I''ve been a Brother Fan for a long time. As a computer repair shop, I''ve come into contact with printers of all shapes and sizes over the past 30 years. By and far this Brother Printer turned out to be everything and more that I was expecting. With a capability to print up to 11" x 17" and it''s huge paper bin capacity, combined with an easy wireless setup I had this puppy up and printing in a matter of minutes. It took me longer to remove the packaging and shipping materials than it did to setup the printer. The touchscreen display is also a very nice feature.

Price/Value on this model is as good as it gets. I highly recommend this printer for home or small business use. Just a note though, it carries a pretty big footprint, so make sure you have the space for it.

First of all, please note this is THE CHEAPEST available printer or MFD that can print up to 11x17 prints, at least at the moment of this review. So despite all the problems that I will mention below, it is still worth buying just because it is so cheap.

What I liked about this printer:

0) It''s cheap (did I already mention this?).

1) It was very easy to set up.

2) I didn''t have a single problem printing or scanning via wireless, it was always working propery.

3) It starts printing immediately (unlike some other models that take a minute making noises before producing a print).

What I did not like about this printer:

1) Paper feed.

You have only 1 paper tray and no option to manually feed the paper. Which means that if you want to change the paper size, you have to take out the paper tray, empty it from existing paper, put the new one in and put the tray back. Also, if you are going from A4 to A3 size, you will need to extend the paper tray, which is not hard but takes extra time. So with this device, you have to plan ahead if you are constantly switching between the paper sizes, otherwise you will spend more time switching paper than printing. My advice: go for the next model in Brother''s lineup which has the manual feed it will make your life WAY easier.

2) Quality issues.

I am not sure what was the deal, but when I got this printer it was not printing properly the self-test that prints lots of colored squares was missing a square. Cleaning did not help this issue. After a little while I have replaced the ink (to the non-Brother one, you can get it from Amazon 4 of each colors and 8 blacks for just 18$) and all of a sudden the self-test was printing properly and the colors of the prints got better. Maybe I just got a defective starter ink, but that doesn''t speak that well for the quality of native inks.

3) Print quality and speed.

This printer is definitely not something you would want to use to print your photos. By default, the colors are way off and photos printed with this device are just useless. If you have a hardware calibrator, you can get some decent colors from this device, but it has very weak dark colors, so any photo that has plenty of shades will most likely be ruined. However, this is not the photo printer, so it was not expected to have good color representation. This printer is also quite slow if you are trying to print something with colors and in high quality (like graphs or blueprints), but the regular printing speed is quite adequate.

4) Scanner is only Letter-size.

I think there may be a way in Brother software to scan 2 halves of a larger document and then combine them digitally into 1 piece, but I haven''t installed the software (I only installed drivers) and thus I am limited to a letter size scanning through windows dialogue.

Overall I would give this device a higher rating if it had the tray for manual paper feed, but the lack of one makes this device quite annoying to use from time to time. So I will again recommend buying the next model in line that does have the feeder. But besides from that, this device is quite adequate for its price and performs all the functions it is supposed to perform.

I run a home office and am a heavy user of printing, scanning, faxing and copying. This unit replaced an old copier and an older printer/fax.

Installation gave me error messages. My system does have a lot of software and drivers on a WinXP Pro SP2 operating system. I was able to manually get the drivers installed. No, I didn''t have the patience to call Brother.

Function in all modalities is superb. Text print quality and speed are excellent. Graphics are good.

Copying and fax work like a charm, both sheetfed and flatbed.

I compared the color scanning against my Epson 2450 Photo scanner. For routine scanning, I prefer the Brother. If I need to tweak a scan, I''ll use the Epson. That''s a pretty good recommendation!

I can highly recommend this product (with the one installation caution). Others have not reported install problems and I suspect this was my fairly complex system.

This is the best MFC out there -no question. It scans at lightening speeds with the automatic sheet feeder. The printer prints very fast too at 21 ppm. Terrific controls, with multi-line display. This machine is built to last. I spent several months comparing all of the MFCs out there. I really needed a good scanner with a sheet feeder, but wanted to have the flexibility of a flat bed (for things that won''t feed through a scanner. This unit does it all. I must say that I''m quite pleased with this multifunction machine, which I bought when my ancient, single-function inkjet finally threw in the towel recently. I read reviews of about 50 multifunction machines in the major PC mags and sites before settling on this one. I wanted all four features (copy, scan, print, fax) in a reliable machine for the lowest price, and this was the professionals'' consensus. I have the factory-remanufactured version, also available from Amazon for over $100 less -those are just fine, and after the rebate, the price is irresistible.

On major benefit of this model is the flatbed, which allows you to copy and scan anything, not just standard letteror legal-sized pages (in other words, only things that will go through a document feeder). The laser printer is sharp and fast; I''ve had no jams. Remember to "fan" new reams of paper as a standard practice; static electricity is the most common, and avoidable, cause of paper jams. The copy/fax quality i fine. Some people say that the scanning is a little weak, but unless you need truly professional-quality graphics, it''s quite adequate for casual use.

I''ve knocked off 3/4 of a star for the setup. Actually, it''s not that bad, but you are going to need to actually read certain portions of the full manual; you probably won''t get away with just the Quick Setup Guide. Setting up the fax to work with a connected answering machine was, honestly, moderately complex. I had to read that *entire* section in the manual (BTW, you''ll find what you need on pages 1-13 to 1-22). Once I read it, though, it did tell me exactly what I needed to know, and exactly what I needed to change about my setup. You *MUST* connect the answering machine to the MFC-8440; you can''t connect it to another phone jack somewhere else in your house. Also, you''ll probably need to decrease the number of rings on your phone, and you may need to include a 3-5 second pause at the beginning of your outgoing message.

It''s worth your time to look up whatever you''re trying to do in the manual, rather than just guessing. Try to resist the initial reaction of that being a "bad thing" -a (good) manual actually benefits you. For example, there are quite a few optional settings that I find very beneficial and convenient, but you might never notice them if you don''t actually take the 10 minutes to really *read* Chapter 4. I''m a technical writer and very critical of documentation, and I have to admit that this manual is very clearly written, and rather well done overall.

For the sake of honesty, I must also tell you that Brother MFCs do sometimes take a bit more than their fair share of power (on startup only); I''ve docked them the last quarter-star for that. As I expected from reading reviews, my bedroom lights *do* flicker very briefly when a print job first starts up. Although it only lasts a half-second, it can be a little weird.

A few last tips: Do turn on the sleep mode to conserve energy and preserve the life of the scanner lamp. Do visit the Brother website immediately after setup, and periodically thereafter, for driver updates. And finally...how it hurts my penny-pinching heart to say this...buy original Brother toner cartridges. Factory-remanufactured is probably okay, but definitely no refilled ones. I have just read *too* many reviews that talk about the accidents that can happen with those. Even a small leak of toner inside the machine can ruin it. And although (new) "compatible" cartridges might not leak, pray that nothing ever goes wrong, because using them voids your warranty. If you do some smart comparison shopping, buying new, original cartridges isn''t too bad, especially if it extends the life of a major piece of equipment like this. Like so many other things these days -like books and music -you''ll pay way too much if you buy them in a retail store. Look for online sales, and check Amazon Marketplace or many of the other auction sites.

I use this machine on a wireless home network including one Windows ME HP desktop (I know, yuck; I''ll replace it when the hard drive dies) and one good Windows XP Compaq laptop. I have no trouble printing from either, and I have no interference on my phone; I have only one DSL line in the entire house. I''m sure this machine could support a home business, and probably a very small office; it is a glorious luxury for regular home use, which is my lot. Overall, I''m delighted with my EMFC-8440 and feel good about the purchase. I would definitely recommend it to you.

I''ve only had this unit for several days but am greatly impressed with the sophistication of this machine.

I''ve already added the extra tray and increased the on-board memory to the max. Every day I discover some additional feature that I didn''t know that I had. If you buy this machine, shop for those add-ons.

The only fault that I can find is that you can''t select the 2nd tray from the machine unless you''re printing copies. You need to go to your Windows control panel and select the printer to change your preference to the second tray if you use that tray for printing checks, etc.

A feature that I really like is the "sleep" feature. I have mine set for 5 minutes and the machine powers down to save energy.

Based on feedback from other owners and my personal experience, this is a terrific bargain.

I recently purchased the Brother MFC 8440 for my busy medical practice. This was my first Brother purchase. I was previously a loyal HP user. I had heard such good things about this multifunction device before buying it. I can now say they are ALL true.

The machine works like a charm. I networked the printer through a print server and it works great. Documents print quickly and look sharp too. Copies have great resolution and are produced quickly as well. Faxes are a breeze. I''ve even used the sheet feed document scanner and it works unbelievably well on black and white text documents. In fact, the Brother MFC saved me from buying a separate sheet fed document scanner. I had my whole office set-up through CompUSA''s business service and they had no problems with the installation.

All in all, this is an incredible, indespensible office machine. I would give it 6 stars if it were possible. Believe the hype on this product. It legitmately copies, faxes, prints, and scans as well as any other comparably priced single function product. I can''t imagine anyone not liking this product.

I''m glad that so many people have been pleased with this product. I have a few gripes, so I guess I''ll stand as the devil''s advocate review today, which is rare for me.

The labels themselves were of great quality, never jammed or peeled in the printer, and the way you get the labels off of the paper by folding it is ingenious and better than I''ve seen elsewhere. That being said, all I wanted was a simple way to put my return address on the labels. The issues that I had mostly revolve around the software.

1. The web based printing is simple & easy... it creates PDF''s that you download and print. I had issues getting things to line up though, so I wasted about 50% of the labels on each sheet. I wasn''t being that picky-as long as everything was on the label, and nothing was on a label from an adjacent label, I considered the label a "win"-even if not centered. Still, I lost about 50% of them.

2. I downloaded the full version of Avery software from the company-for free! I was happy with that, and expected it to be basic. But at least at the time of this review, product 5267 was not listed in the software so I couldn''t use the software.

3. Take me to the third & final option-support for Microsoft Word. I have word 2010 and figured that would be the best bet. After downloading the Avery software for Office 2010, it wouldn''t install... I use Windows 7 64 bit and Office 64 bit, so the software wasn''t compatable.

So all of that being said, I''m glad so many others have had such great success with the labels. I had hoped that the Avery Stand Alone software was going to be the key to success for me as it also supposed print alignment testing, however, the lack of support for this particular label was the final thing to run me off track.

I hope some of these "gotchas" are helpful to some of you using Windows 7 64 bit or really care about print alignment.

I gave it 3 stars because really, even with the label waste on option 1, the ones I did get that were ok enough were good enough to fill my need of return labels. If I really needed tons of labels and spent more time tweaking and wasting more sheets, there is a good chance I could achieve less waste. And I may try that again.

Update! Success! Sort of.... Word 2010 has some built in default label printing functionality and this label is one of the options. I don''t have the nice photo options and it still took some wasting of a few sheets, but I was able to get a full sheet of return address labels with no "wasted ones!"

I have been using Avery labels for many years and absolutely love them. A trick of the trade to avoid wasting labels is to print the page of labels on plain paper first, then place the sheet of blank labels on top, hold those pages up to the light and see if you need to adjust your margins before printing all your pages of labels.

These are nice labels and will work for most purposed. However, for my application, I need to fed one sheet multiple times, as I use labels on items that I craft. Unfortunately, with these Avery labels, after I feed them a couple times, the adhesive seems to bleed through and the label turns a bit brown. I am using a HP laserjet, but I have had this problem before with the lower end labels. The more expensive labels don''t have that problem.

So, if you plan to print one sheet at a time, this should be fine. If you plan to print only a few labels at a time, look for another product.

I use these exclusively as a return label set for my and for my parents who are getting old. I print out a set every once in a while and I keep them on a clipboard. Once a year I print out a few sets of these and mail them to my parents, whose eyes and arthritis make it a bit hard to do these things anymore and it''s a tremendous help to them. They are too small for the full address.

I have found that Memorex disk labels are very good and easy to set up. Allows you to use your own images or use their stock backgrounds. Add text in several ways, straight, circular top, circular bottom as well as some clip images are available.

I have tried Avery''s similar labels that you work from MS Word in their Mail & Labels section. I found Avery very hard to work with and far less customizable options.

My only negative is the matte finish. I personally would prefer a slick finish. But in the long and short run Memorex disk labels are the way to go for great looking jobs.

I use Memorex CD and DVD labels to label picture cd''s and dvd''s with picture slide shows on them. These labels are great because they let you pick the size of the label, small hole, larger hole or just a small label that goes around the opening in the cd. These labels are easy to print on and stick to the cd well. This is the second package of Memorex CD/DVD labels I have purchased and will buy more of these when I need to.

I use large quantities of matte CD labels for inkjet printing, and was very pleased with the Memorex brand for ten years: colors printed vivid and true, the labels were easy to apply and adhered well. But the most recent pack I bought proved completely different. Their new paper has an obvious grayish cast that takes color poorly (e.g., reds look brown, blues look gray), and the finished labels look dull, muddy, and cheap. This new paper is also so thin that ink bleeds into the adhesive layer, and the labels are prone to wrinkling during application, ruining the CD.

What was once an excellent product has been cheapened into one too shoddy to waste a cent on. I will never use Memorex labels again.

First off, I upgrade from a Epson Stylus Color 440 which didn''t function right with current built system.

I purchased this printer from Costco Wholesale. They have a liberal return policy and I wanted to make sure I got a good printer. And I got a store rebate to boot.

I noticed right away that the printer was really quiet. I could not hear it print while the tv was on. I found the print quality was excellent. I printed test page using an entry from the thefreedictionary.com. There was no skipped lines in the color areas. Letters were finely printed. I printed a picture to standard paper and the printer did not print any lines in the graphic.

I did run into an problem though. Before each color page, it would print some sort of test page. I contacted HP support. They told me to unplug printer from computer. While HOLDing Power Botton, press Resume (aka Paper Feed) 4 times, and RELEASE Power Button. This will print a hardware test page with an errors. This fixed my problem and it didn''t show any errors. ''Alexis'' from HP Live Support at HP.com was the support technician.

The only way to get the paper to cycle correctly through the feeding mechanism, is to press an arrow on the printer itself, after a warning window opens up on your desktop indicating that the paper is not loaded properly. I think that I know how to load paper properly, so the fact that no matter what I do, this printer fails to work properly is a pretty good indication that their is a design flaw in the model itself. Reading some of the other comments on Amazon, it becomes obvious that such a design flaw exists. When I called HP customer support, after being placed on hold for 40 minutes, I was finally connected to a representative from India. Now, while I wish that American companies would stop outsourcing customer service to India, I understand that in order to save money they simply have no choice. The problem with my call, was that after someone finally answered the phone, it was virtually impossible for me to understand what they were saying. Finally, after going through the route of switching from one person to another, they connected me with someone who spoke fluent English, and as mentioned the only thing they would offer to do is to send me the exact same model, only refurbished. Knowing that the refurbished unit would pose exactly the same problem, I told them that I would pass on their offer and now am stuck with a printer that I will likely end up throwing in the garbage. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER. IT IS A PIECE OF JUNK AND HAS AN ENGINEERING DEFECT! If you do go ahead and purchase the printer, you are asking for trouble and will undoubtedly end up discarding it, as I am about to do.

Update: HP finally offered to replace my printer with a new one. Ironically, the replacement printer was manufactured only a few weeks ago, while the original one that I had purchased directly from HP had been manufactured almost a year ago, or 8 months before I bought it. Apparently, HP has been made aware that the Deskjet 5940 had a faulty paper feeding mechanism and they have recently fixed the problem. My new one works just fine. My advice if purchasing this printer would be to make sure that the date of manufacture is after May 2006. You should have no problems if you purchase one made after that date. If you purchased one that was made prior to that date, and you are having problems with the paper feeding mechanism, call HP to arrange for them to replace it free of charge.

Let me start this review by saying that I am a fan of Canon Bubble jet printers. You can read my review of the Canon i960 if you''re looking for a top drawer photo printer. That said, I bought this mighty little HP to "supplement" my i960. Why, you ask? Read on!

I''d been happily printing photo quality prints and text on my i960-UNTIL-I got bit in the a** by Mac OS X Tiger. "Ohhh, just upgrade your system to Tiger" purred the Mac Elitist. Not wanting to be left behind growling, I plunked down some money to upgrade my G4 Quicksilver to Tiger from OS X Panther. That was one of the stupidest upgrades moves I''ve ever made. Frankly, myself and a lot of other Mac users got mauled by Tiger. besides being slow as a pig, Tiger killed all of my canon print drivers. Worse than that, it will not allow you to re-install the canon OSX drivers! All you have to choose from are some crummy GIMP print drivers from 4 years back. They should take the entire "Tiger" OS X team and toss them into a cage with a hungry Big Cat!

So after 3 frustrating days I was out searching for an affordable inkjet photo printer that would work with this Mangy Feline now stuck on my ''puter. Enter the Deskjet 5940. Looks nice with the silver finish. Small footprint for my cramped cage. The ability to use photo inks, black only, or normal color tritone CMY inks is a huge plus. The canon i960 is a phenomenal photo printer, but blasts through Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta ink like mad. The HP promises to be much cheaper to operate for everyday work. HP kindly provides a USB cable, AND Mac instructions! Yee-Hah!

The big question was, would the HP printer drivers tame Tiger? The hookup was easy. I''m not used to the front loading paper stash, but it works easily enough. WARNING: If you print on premium photo paper like Ilford Galerie, the HP needs you to load the print side face down! Once I established this, it was OK. So does it work with the Mangy Mac Tiger OS? Yes! Not only that, HP''s driver gives you lots of options for paper surfaces and dithering....surprisingly even more than Canon.

I''m a photographer by trade and by nature. So when I ran a high quality photo print on Somerset Enhanced Velvet, I was very impressed with HP 5940''s performance. Clean whites, no bleeding, great color fidelity, and superb contrast. And this is only with the normal CMY ink set. The Vivera Photo ink promises to work even better.

My major complaint with the HP driver is that under "Paper Type" it is weighted to anything with the HP label on it. What the Heck IS "HP Photo Everyday" anyway? No matter, with a bit of guessing, you can print beautifully on just about any photo paper out there.

So now I have a printer that works with OS X Tiger and actually will be cheaper to operate than my canon i960 (which now resides on an iMac DV running-OS X PANTHER).

The HP was my first ever product from a company I used to deride. Now I''m singing the praises of this cheap but superb little Swiss Army Knife printer. That is when I''m not cursing the pinheads in Cupertino CA......

The paper feed is a nightmare. When it runs out of paper, it takes multiple attempts to get it to start feeding paper correctly again. It won''t pick up the paper or it feeds multiple sheets at once. It jams constantly. I''d like to do an "Office Space" to it.

They don''t have a -5 or even zero star rating so 1 is all I can stand.

Obviously HP has marketing types posing as 6th graders trying to keep thier review #''s up by posing as such. The first review was unbelievable (my companies marketing guys could have hidden it better and they are morons!). The second review was just plain goofy..."I''m reviewing my brother''s printer":p

Even 6th graders have a better way to spend their time.

The HP printer is barely worth the ink cartridge that comes with it. Which is the most expensive part. That aside, it wouldn''t have bothered me that much cause you get what you pay for. What bothers me most is the amount of DRIVER SPAM that you MUST install with the driver.

Installing the driver took about 20 minutes. Give me a flippin break. The standard USB driver for a printer should fit on a floppy disk. Heck, for this amount of money it should use class drivers. In addition to taking forever, it created a HPPP(D:) drive that consumes 500MB of disk space. Good thing I had all of 1G left...now I don''t and my machine is crawling along. Ironically the first button you see when you double click it is "Install more software". Egads, are these guys into the hard drive business as well as the INK business.

Bill Hewlett and David Packard would be sad to see how far their company has fallen.

HP beware. I can no longer suffer fools lightly. If you sell me something (which is highly unlikely unless you bring back good calculators and test equipment) that is useless junk I will review it to the end.

We used this paper to send out about 200 invitations to our 50th wedding anniversary using MS Publisher to work up the format. Looked quite nice.

Other reviews have pretty much described the paper; the "texture" is very thin lines about 1/32" apart embossed in the paper and runs the same direction as the fold in the card. The envelop is also textured and the lines run from left to right.

The feathering is on one end of the paper and on the envelop flap. Might note that we used eleven boxes and the paper size varied in length from box to box by as much as 1/4" but within given box, the paper was pretty uniform.

Print quality with our HP Officejet Pro L7680 printer was fine. However, when you read on the Avery package that this product was intended for single copy printing, believe it. Our printer would NOT reliably feed even a few copies automatically. The same is true with the envelops; they also had to be printed one at a time. AND we had to tuck the flap inside the envelop or a good percentage of the envelops would not feed through straight.

One final printing note: the printer had difficulty properly registering the paper when the feathered edge was fed in first. Perhaps 10 15% would print slightly crooked on the page, or too close to the feathered end or both. Never found a solution to that other than to rotate the page 180 degrees in Publisher and feed the paper the other direction.

All that said, overall we were pleased with the resulting invitations and will be using more of this card stock.

Was so excited to try this product -as I really like the other textured cards I have purchased. I use them to create my personal stationery and the texture really conveys a special quality. However, the textured paper used for this product was an unfortunate choice, because it was a very thin stripe -a striated effect-which led to not only uneven printing ( using my HP7400), but also when writing on it with a rolling ball pen.

Now--if they would change the paper to the one that is used for textured cards that don''t have the feathered edge and use it for these as well, then it would be a really great product!

The Avery Feather-Edge Card Stock is a wonderful product. The stock is quite heavy and with the feathered edge of the front of the card it makes for a very professional looking product. This product is far and away better than most that can be purchased in retail stores. We are extremely happy with this product.
