Works great. Edges break clean (just have to make sure you fold the edges first -then the cards should ''snap'' off). Don''t just try to tear them off -make sure you fold the edges first. You can print on the front and back, but the coating is different between them. If you''re going to print front and back, I would suggest that whatever art / info is more important, use the front to print.
I used these to print music download cards. For the front, I had the album art work. On the back, just text (URL of where to download the music). I tested the art work on the back of the card and it didn''t look as nice.

I do not recommend this product. The ink was practically dry and useless. The package didn''t protect the cartridge from drying. I had to change my printer because of expensive cartridges.Great buy, saved lots of money by buying refurbished and they were just like buying brand new ones from your local computer store. I have had the same cartridge for almost two years (I do not do a lot of printing) and the ink still looks great. In case this is your first time to the rodeo, LED printers are like laser printers but instead of using a laser beam and a mirror there is a fixed array of LEDs which perform the same function. The claim is that this will reduce maintenance but I have never heard of anyone claiming "well, my laser printer was great, but then the laser died." or "well, if only the mirror assembly hadn''t broken in my laser printer..." no, usually it''s something to do with the drum, the fuser, constant jams, toner costs, etc. So I''m not sure LED printers are better than laser printers, but I took the plunge anyway.
So, about this printer. So it uses a grid of LEDs. In practice, the resolution is a little worse than a laser printer, but 600x1200 dpi is plenty respectable for print work. I haven''t even considered the resolution at any point in operating it.
The paper passes through a singular path, meaning that it doesn''t really change print speed based on whether it''s b/w or color, which is nice. I was surprised to print a full-page color photo in the same time it takes to print a text file. Generally speaking, that''s not common (try that on an inkjet!)
The printer comes with 1000-page toner cartridges, which are "starter" sized. Price per page is not significantly cheaper than an inkjet, after you factor in the costs of toner, but I''ve always found inkjet printers to be frustrating to deal with, for print speed, frequency of ink changes, dried cartridge nozzles, noisy feed/print mechanisms, and so on. So, this is a lot better than an inkjet in my book, but not for economy printing.
The duplexing is the standard "cheaper" method that requires the page to partially come out of the printer, then it sucks it back in for a second go-round. Nicer workgroup printers keep the document entirely internalized until it has printed on both sides. Still, it works fine and there''s plenty of room for it to do its thing and keep all the pages in order. It''s a great feature to have when you need it.
The color quality isn''t as good as an inkjet. If you want to print photos, you really would be better off simply ordering them online (just upload your jpegs, and so on) and getting them printed on $20,000+ professional printers for pennies. I think a 4x6 photo print is less than 10 cents, so buying an inkjet is just a waste of time in my book. Anyway, this printer is acceptable for all display/presentation work. It''s just not color accurate. They package software to attempt to correct the color, but this is unlikely to get it to "professional photo printer" levels anyway.
Black and white is great, as it should be. No complaints there.
No paper jams to report, and the whole printer seems easy to clear if there was a problem.
There is no wireless networking, only a 100mbit (no gigabit, but why would you need it?) ethernet port and a USB port.
Networking is simple and you can point a browser to the IP address to get status and even submit jobs manually if you don''t have a print driver installed (it lets you upload a pdf and print it out). Having a networked printer is great so you don''t need to have a computer on (though mine is on all the time anyway) if you want others to have access to printing.
Power consumption is like other laser printers. It''s significant when warming up, not too bad when printing, and very low when idle. Warm up time is only a few seconds, which is great.
The printer is a bit heavy/bulky, but it''s about the size of a larger all-in-one fax/copy/print machine (though it doesn''t fax/copy). It weighs about 55lbs.
Overall, I''d give it 5 stars. It fit my needs perfectly.

Unboxing this machine is a bit of a trial, not only because it masses around 50 lbs. The printed instructions are limited to internationalized sketches that barely match reality. Generally, pull any blue tape or orange chunks of plastic. Installing the toner cartridges is the next trial. The printer comes with the toners installed in the correct location and all you have to do is slide a lock/shutter. Sliding the locks takes a surprising amount of force, and with so much plastic, it is quite scary when it finally seems to break free and slam closed. I fully expected to break my printer before I''d even plugged it in.On powering up, it automatically grabs a DHCP address off the network, and with little more than that, you''re printing! The front panel menu navigation is pretty straight forward, and you really only need to visit it once (more on that later). It speaks standard PCL and PostScript, so you may not even have to change the drivers in your computers to get it to work. I was able to use it as a drop-in replacement for a (hated) HP2550 Color LaserJet.
Although I haven''t tried the drivers, yet (I''m using basic PostScript) I am happy with the selection at least. Unlike many other devices, older and esoteric versions of Windows seem to be fully supported.
The printing is stunningly fast when compared with carousel printers like the HP2550. Even though this model comes with a relatively small amount of memory, it has no problems cranking out full-page graphics.
When the printer is awake, it can be pretty noisy. It doesn''t have the clunks and squeaks of the HP2550, just mostly fan noise. Fortunately, it can be configured to go to sleep pretty quickly, and once it is sleeping, it is completely silent. Unlike the 2550, it doesn''t wake up every 8 hours, either. It wakes up automatically when a print job comes in, and does so pretty quickly. That may not be true if you use the USB interface, though.
Laser printers should not be hooked up the UPS devices, and this machine is no different. The current draw on startup is enough to trigger nearby UPSs into brownout mode briefly.
The print quality is good. It manages to print intense colors with a somewhat glossy finish that compares remarkably well with photo printers. That seems to come at a cost of clarity, though, as some fine detail gets a little muddy.
Lastly, the network interface in this device is worth the entire cost of the printer. First of all, once you know the IP address of it, you never need to use the front panel again. Every single feature is easily controllable from the web interface. Beyond that, it has features that you would normally see in devices that cost thousands of dollars, including the ability to print-by-email, Internet Printing Protocol, the ability to print directly from an uploaded PDF file, SMNP managment, and so on.
So far, I''m very happy with this printer! One major problem, though: It ships with minuscule starter toner cartridges -maybe less than 500 pages worth -and toners are harder to find, since the Oki brand is somewhat uncommon. At least the toners don''t appear to be ''chipped'', and there''s a menu option (turned on by default, even) that will instruct the printer to continue even if it believes the cartridges are empty. I expect it will give me plenty of time to get replacements. This printer uses real toner-only cartridges, and not toner+drum units like other printers. Despite that, the cartridges are some of the most expensive I''ve ever seen. Figure in another $460 of toner costs once the starters go empty.

I use this printer in my home office, and routinely print out lengthly colour docs.Pros:
>Excellent output, crisp text, nice colors. As good as any color laser, I''ve used including hi-end ones found in corporate offices.
>Well designed, easy to set up, toners are extremely easy to replace.
>Respectable page per minute output, duplex printing works flawlessly. Printed reams of paper without a single jam yet.
>Works well on Mac or PC platform.
Cons:
>Noisy when printing. Much louder than the HP laser jet I replaced it with
>Replacement toner is extremely expensive, and hard to find at discount retailers or locate remanufactured toners. If I had known, I probably would have gotten a different printer.
>The toners that come with the printers didn''t last that long. Perhaps that is to be expected, and perhaps the replacement toners will last longer.
> Papers curl when printing, so when printing long documents some times pages will end up scattered on the floor.

The Okidata C330dn color laser printer I recently received from Amazon is even faster than the C3200n I used for six years. Text is absolutely crisp and clear, music notation looks professional, and photos and other graphics are excellent.PRO''s:
* Very FAST (starts pouring out the pages in seconds and they just keep coming);
* Images are very SHARP (especially compared to inkjet printer text);
* This laser printer uses only a SINGLE DRUM, instead of the typical four (thus cutting repair costs significantly);
* The unit has a significantly LOWER PROFILE than earlier Oki models (than most other laser printers), especially with regard to its height, about 9");
* The TONER CARTRIDGES have a greater yield now (about 3,000 pages for color, 3,500 for black).
CON''s:
* The unit is quite LOUD at start up, but once on-line (in about a minute) it is not very noticeable. After a few minutes of inactivity, it is nearly silent. But, when you send the unit a new printing job, it restarts almost immediately.
* The LCD display is smaller than the C3200n''s, and it''s located on the right top (front) rather than on the front itself, so location in your working space might be a small issue.
NOTE: Some say the toner cartridges are very expensive, but they are actually cheaper than HP cartridges if you take a close look at the YIELD ratings on both.
Overall, this laser printer does the job for me. It''s fast, it''s a workhorse, and the print quality is first rate. I recommend it highly. This is absolutely one of the best printers in its price class. Its print quality in both black and color is head and shoulders above comparable HP printers I should know, the office I spend several days a week in has 2. For plain text, graphics, and CAD, the prints are some of the best I''ve seen.
It is more than fast enough for home office or small business printing, the duplex feature works like a charm, and it is very Mac friendly. Setup via USB or network was easy and fast as usual, don''t use the included CD. I don''t know why manufacturers pack those things with printers anymore. The multipurpose tray is easy to open and stow, and is spring loaded to keep the right tension against the pickup wheels. The whole device is built very well.
One thing to note the thing is huge! Make sure you look at the dimensions and weight, and have a plan for where it is going. Other than that, I would recommend it to anyone who does not need to print photos often.

Excellent Trimmer/Cutter for those who have a disability that won''t allow them to "Push down" very hard.I''ve had many trimmers some really cheap and even a more expensive Carl''s rotary cutter and they were a huge disappointment! Many had the alignment marks wear off after 3 months and none of them cut straight.
If you''re a paper crafter who needs to cut heavy duty chipboard then this is the trimmer for you! The Rotatrim cuts heavy chipboard like butter. I''ve had seven back operations and I just couldn''t push down hard using my regular trimmers or an exacto knife, and with this I can cut all day long without it hurting me. I checked to see if it cut straight and it does. It cuts several sheets of cardstock as well, which is very helpful if you''re mass producing items.
I would highly recommend using the paper hold down if you will be cutting on both the up and down stroke. I tried cutting on the down stroke without the holder and my paper shifted. However, that is such a minor thing as you can always just cut on the upstroke so the paper won''t shift.
I bought this item on May 26, 2012 and received it on June the 2nd. So, I''ve only had it for a few days but, I''ve already cut close to 1,000 sheets of chipboard and about 300 sheets of cardstock. this is NOT a small trimmer it''s heavy and its bulky so room may be of concern.
This has been the Best investment I''ve ever made.

After going through 3 cutters with my card making, scrapbooking and wedding invitation projects I decided to spend a little more money and get something that cut accurately and hopefully would last more than a year. My cutter arrived in record time and from the moment I made the first cut I knew I was not going to be disappointed. The blade is ultra sharp, it cuts through many papers at once, and is super accurate. I would highly recommend this cutter for precision cutting on all projects.Want Rotatrim RC RCM18 18-Inch Cut Rotatrim Professional-18 Cutter Discount?
This cutter / trimmer is well worth every penny. Yes it is a little pricey, but if your work is worth doing it is worth doing right. This trimmer will do exactly that. It is a very professional trimmer. You will not be disappointed, and I am picky. It cuts effortlessly and makes all cuts look absolutely professional. No bludgeoned, burred, ripped, torn nor frayed edges. You can literally cut a 1000th of an inch off if need be without the sheet shifting, creasing or caving under. I have cut almost two thousand 10 mil. sheets already in just a month or so and it works terrific. I am sure this trimmer could cut twice that thickness without effort.Make sure you evaluate what size trimmer you need. At first, I thought I needed a 24" trimmer to do the size photos I was trimming but after reading some of the reviews saying that you do not need as big a platform as you think you do, I decided to take that advice. And I am glad I really analyzed those comments. The 18" trimmer works great even for my 13" x 17" sheets. The overall length of the 18" trimmer is 24 1/2" with a cutting edge platform of 18 1/2". The short direction is only 12 1/2" wide but that''s plenty even with larger sheets. Even at that it does take up some desk space. But regardless of what size you need, you will not go wrong with this trimmer. An invaluable tool for crafts that require cutting paper. It allows precision cutting, and the 18 inch model is perfect for cutting small pieces of paper, as well as 12 x 12" sheets of paper. This is the only paper cutter I use for creating my own greeting cards and gift tags.

The paper is probably best for one-sided documents; it has a very nice textured pattern on one side with a lighter resulting texture on the other. I''m doing folded card-style invitations and I think they look very professional with the heavier texture on the outside.
Depending on your task, this is a very nice and durable looking 25% cotton paper. It has a professional white color and an elegant cross-hatched texture on one side. Don''t worry about the stock image. The paper in the picture has a bluish tint, but the color of the actual paper is a nice shade fo white.Decent paper, but note that the linen texture is only on one side of the stock, the other side is smooth.

- Scan your collection of business cards in CardMinder and it automatically extract the important information
- And export into your Outlook, Excel, Address Book (Mac)
This is the first ultra mobile Scansnap, and I cannot convey how impressed I am with it! The device is literally about the size of two snickers bars put end to end. It''s tiny, feels well constructed, and does not require external power. The software installation is quick is easy. It does not come with Adobe Acrobat Full version, like some of the older models used to include. It does not scan double sided as do many of the other Scansnap devices. If you''ve used a scansnap this one puts the brakes on and reverses you-the paper actually feeds in the front and out the back-Opposite of all Scansnaps. It works just fine once you realize what''s going on there.
Those couple of drawbacks considered, if you are a mobile road warrior who needs to scan on the go, (signed paperwork, business cards, receipts, etc.) this is clearly my most preferred choice for a mobile scanner. The quality of scans is completely satisfactory, and honestly this little device does much better with tiny thin pieces of paper like receipts as compared to some of the larger models-that are designed for a whole stack of paper-and from time to time will skew a thin tiny receipt sideways and crinkle it up.
My thoughts on this model vs. the S1300: If you travel and set up at a hotel, temporary office or trade table type environment for a few days or all day, or need double sided scanning, the S1300 is a fine option. It''s larger and takes more space if you''re flying. If you travel or fly daily, or move from client to client during the day and want the smallest lightest option, this would be my recommended option. It would be perfect for sales forces, insurance company members, consultants, and others who go from place to place quickly, want minimal bulk, and the ability to scan a few documents quickly & easily. If you need to scan small stacks of paper, go with the S1300.
As I continue to have the scanner longer I will plan to update the review. But at this point, the install was easy, the scan quality is good and use is easy, and the device is unbelievably small yet feels "not flimsy" and I couldn''t be any more pleased with it''s functionality and portability. If you have any specific questions or would like a certain additional feature tested, please leave a comment below and I will answer you ASAP.
Update: I have added a photo of it in my hand for size comparison. It''s unbelievably trim!
Update: I''ve completed my first business trip with 13 pages of various sized receipts, full page receipts, baggage fee wide receipts, etc. I was able to scan them all in about 2 minutes. As well, a couple features I didn''t mention explicitly above: The scanner auto aligns the images-you don''t have to worry about feeding them through exactly straight. Finally, the software "sits and waits" between receipts you feed through, until you click "finished". This is a FAR superior software feature to the larger S1300-because it takes a few moments to put down & pick up another receipt. The scanner sits patiently and waits for you to feed through as many receipts or pieces of paper as you want, with no urgency.
The scanning went perfectly and I''ll post a few examples of the scans with no personal info on them as an example of scan quality. Since I''ve had the scanner I carry it with me in my backpack every day to & from work and everywhere I travel with my work backpack. Still going strong with no issues.
Update: I recently needed to scan some very plastic like paper and it didn''t want to curl upwards to come out of the scanner. I then learned that the back "door" on the scanner can very easily be removed so the paper feeds straight through without bending it. Another question, and another problem solved easily.
Update: I discovered that the rear door can easily be removed so you can scan hard cards like plastic credit cards, membership cards, etc. right through the unit without bending them at all! Also great for older style hard photos as long as they''re not too thick.

At last, this road warrior''s arsenal is finally complete. I''ve tried multiple portable scanners over the years -Antec, Neat, CardScan -but they were always either slow, producing poor quality scans (Antec, Neat) or they lacked flexibility for scanning a range of document sizes (CardScan). In the meantime I''d become an enthusiastic fan of Fujitsu''s ScanSnap line, owning two desktop models, one for home and one for work. They performed so well, in fact, that I inevitably postponed all business trip scanning until I got back to the office, but after being out of town for a few days a longer, it was still always a chore I dreaded coming home to.
So the day the S1100 went on sale, I snapped one up right away, reviews-unread, and fortunately my faith in Fujitsu proved to be well-founded. The latest member of the ScanSnap family delivers most of the punch of the desktop models, including quality, speed, smart design and brilliantly simple-to-use software. A couple of features had to be sacrificed to whittle the ScanSnap down to ultraportable size that scans and chargers over a single USB cable, but they make for a reasonable compromise: the S1100 doesn''t perform two-sided scans, and there''s no multi-page feed. For my line of work this means I''m still able to process about 80% of my scans while I''m on the road -usually at night, while chilling in front of the TV in my hotel room -which gives me a huge head start on client follow-up and expense report filing. Just like its desktop big brothers, the S1100 is a little paper-eating monster, and you can work your way through an unwieldy stack of paper in a surprisingly short amount of time. The included Evernote integration is just icing on the cake, making uploads, filing, organizing and accessing files over multiple computers/devices a breeze.
There are two shortcomings with the new ScanSnap that aren''t exactly deal-breakers, but still worth mentioning, although I''m still comfortable rounding up my recommendation to a 5-star review. A travel case would be greatly appreciated, especially since the S1100 is by its nature bound to spend much of its existence getting tossed around in suitcases. Build quality seems adequate enough, but I''m still concerned. For now, I''ve managed to recycle the slip cover case that came with my Neat scanner (so I guess it wasn''t a total waste of a hundred bucks), but I''m still looking for something a little more solid.
The other annoyance is the ridiculously embarrassing business card software that''s bundled with the ScanSnap line. I''m comfortable enough writing code that I managed to slap together a script that imports a PDF scan of business cards into my CardScan software -which I never truly appreciated just how brilliant it was until I tried working with its horrendous, counter-intuitive competitors. Fujitsu really needs to track down a business card software that''s worthy to be bundled in with the otherwise flawless ScanSnap line up, or they should just bury the option altogether, as fast as they can.

I own a desktop S1500M model, my third ScanSnap (the others were the original ScanSnap, the professional fi-5200C), and I bought the S1100 for my wife, to upgrade her S1300M. It''s a sidegrade or downgrade at best.Pros: it is incredibly compact (a quarter the size of the S1300M), and you can scan right out of the optional case (highly recommended). The scanner itself feels faster than the S1300M, and the software bundle includes ABBYY FineReader OCR, which the original SW bundle with my wife''s S1300M did not have (more recent versions may have added this). Unlike the S1300M, it works with a single USB port, so it is compatible with the MacBook Air (the S1300M requires 2 USB ports to be bus-powered, as it draws more than the 2.5 watts a single USB port can provide).
Cons: Unlike the S1300M, it does not scan duplex (you have to flip the sheet to scan both sides). It does not have a hopper like the S1300M''s 10-sheet model and it does not have any provisions to load more than one sheet, so scanning multiple pages is a drag.
Life is about trade-offs the reduced bulk means you are more likely to have it with you, but this is a strictly one-sheet scanner, not really a document scanner unlike the more capable S1300M, or the full-featured S1500M which adds ultrasonic double-feed detection, something vital if you scan large volumes of documents.

: 3:32 MinsHere is a review I did on the ScanSnap S1100! Hope this helps you guys if you think about buying this..!I just received my S1100 yesterday and its AWESOME. (I am using a MacBook Pro) It is everything I have been looking for in a portable scanner. As a Realtor, I need to be connected anywhere I am, and this tool makes that possible. I can quickly scan contracts and have them in another agent''s inbox before I leave the coffee shop!
I do wish it came with a case though. I will have to order one because I am worried it will be damaged in my crowded messenger bag.
I am in the process of digitizing all of my listing and sales contracts and this scanner has been surprisingly fast. In the office, I would be better suited with a larger model with an auto document feeder for long (20pg+) contracts, but this will work. Once I get everything digitized, adding new contracts will be a breeze.
One really cool thing is that the scanner has a feature that auto aligns the pages. Sometimes its kind of difficult to get the paper in exactly straight, but the scanner seems to straighten the paper as it feeds. I don''t know how it does it, but it works well!
In closing, I whole-heartedly recommend this product for anyone looking for a portable scanner. The included software is great too. It doesn''t include any junk, only the bare essentials.
By the way, I looked at some other models at my local computer store, and the Scansnap build quality far exceeds the competition.

These wafer sheets were thicker than I thought they would be, but they worked wonderfully when making torrone (Italian nougat candy). I have made torrone for several years, and these wafer sheets make it so easy. It helps the candy hold it''s shape after cutting, and prevents the candy from sticking to everything. Without the wafer sheets, it sticks to everything: itself, any dish you put it on, wax paper, it even sticks to oiled tin foil. I would recommend these sheets to any candy maker who makes nougat-type candies.Product was just what I needed, and I was completely satisfied with it. Prompt transaction and delivery. Will look for other items from this seller.I bought the wafer paper together with the kopkykake inkts and the Canon IP3600 as suggested on the amazon.com. I have tried everyting but the printer does not want to work the paper. Neither form the cassette , nor from the rear paper input. I assume it should work because the items were recommended together. I always bought the cheap staples brand paper before, but seeing as this was pretty cheap I thought I''d go for it. It comes in a brown box with the reams well packaged. Some of the covers on the reams were damaged, but the paper inside was fine.I have printed lots of things on it, and they look very good. The paper holds up even when you print double sided, in fact there is almost no color bleed through, as in you won''t see shadows of the color on the other side of the page.
When you get it, remember that this thing weighs about 60 pounds, I had lots of fun carrying it from my mail services building back home.
All in all, it was an excellent purchase, cheap and very high quality, and of course Amazon sent it very quickly via Prime!

So during shipping the packages bounce around, and needless to say some of them split open. The big box was sturdy, but some amount of the paper was damaged (and the blue wrapper ink rubs off on the paper as well.) I could use 95% of the paper so I didn''t bother complaining or asking to ship it back. But depending on what happens during shipment, the damage could have been more extensive. What they ought to do is ship a CARTON of paper in its original box as shown in the product illustration, and then place that full carton inside the sturdy outer shipping box.So it''s 5 stars for the paper and 1 star for the shipping, giving a 3 star rating. This product is better then most of the paper you find in local retailers but judging from other reviews and personal experience, it is definitely a gamble if you are to receive a 100% box of usable paper! My carton arrived in shambles, and instead of the normal heavy duty plastic reinforcements to secure the box, it only had clear packaging tape! 8 out of 10 reams were damaged dented or dirty (blue stains from packaging or black from the dirt accumulated during shipping). The lid to my box was broken and one side of it was torn off. Buyer beware! Most of the products in this category is shipped in a unsafe manner. Something to consider when you buy paper products from Amazon :( .
